"Okay…now this next battle is gonna be a bit…different. Not only is it the last one for the day…but the competitor has asked that two fighters come and face them instead of one." Aura said. "Anyway…from a galaxy far far away, who do you think is the best bounty hunter? Jango Fett? Nay! Boba Fett? Nay! Maybe Star Fox? Heck no! The best bounty hunter is one who eliminated the entire Metroid race as well as the X Parasites. They are a Bounty Hunter Extraordinaire! Samus…Aran!" she said as Samus entered the arena in her power suit.
"So this will be a two-stage fight, then." David said.
"Makes sense." Ace said.
"Still, first Dark Samus, then Ridley, and now Samus herself. It's pretty crazy how this all went full-circle." Sectonia said.
"Indeed." Spade said. "Still, two fighters in one though?"
"Treat it like a tag team. One fighter goes in and if they feel like they're in danger, they tag out." Jexi said.
"Pretty weird tag-team." Lei said.
"There's nothing weird about it." Francisca said. "Berge, Zan and I fought like that too back in the Lost Universe."
"So if it's a tag team match, we should send in two people who work together very well and are able to work as a team, tagging out when needed." Hope said.
"They're pretty much everyone here!" Theo said.
"What he means is a duo so in sync that it doesn't feel like two separate fighters." David said.
"Hold on, Hsien-ko and I use the same fighting style technically. Would we be able to work?" Ming asked.
"There are other duos that could work too. Gankoomon and Jesmon, Subaru and Kazuma…" Sachiko pondered.
"Wait-wait-wait, why am I even a suggestion?" Kazuma asked.
"You know we don't have weapons right? And she's got a fricken power suit." Subaru said.
"Cause all your friend has done is talk trash about other fighters while staying safe in the stands." Theo said.
"Well there is Corona and I as well." Tsuki said.
"Two separate fighters capable of fusion. That might work." Leopardmon said. "Omnimon technically functions the same way, but we're not sure if we want to risk his fusion being broken for this fight."
"Then it's settled. Corona, Tsuki, you're up." Hope said.
"And now…these two fighters come in here together. They are two members of the Olympos XII. While the rest sleep, these two somehow pull a loop and escape slumber. They are Day and Night. Apollomon and Dianamon!" Aura said.
"The Celestial Duo makes their entrance." Tsuki winked as Corona pounded his right fist into his left palm.
"And their fighting arena is…Brinstar!" Aura said as they appeared in the acidic area known as Brinstar. "You may begin when ready!"
(Cue- Supporting Me- Sonic Adventure 2)
"I'll start us off, Tsuki." Corona said.
"Go for it bro." Tsuki said.
Corona and Power Suit Samus then faced off.
"You haven't fought as much as your sister. Hope you're not rusty." she said.
"You're in for a surprise." Corona said. "Solblaster!" he said, firing a scorching solar orb generated from the sphere of flames on his back.
Samus rolled out of the way as she fired a missile at his back before fitting in a plasma shot.
"Arrow of Apollo!" Corona said as he rapidly fired red hot arrows from the jewels on his hands.
Samus went into morph ball mode and rolled away from the arrows, before speeding around to Corona's side and dispensed a bomb at his feet before rolling back as it exploded.
"I'm just getting started!" Corona said, dashing out of the smoke as energy gathered into his right arm. "Phoebus Blow!" he called, launching a powerful one hit punch.
"You're in range." Samus said as her cannon managed to unleash a powerful laser attack on Corona.
"Ugh…" Corona groaned as something flew through the air and fell out of the arena. "At least I was able to get a…" he said before receiving a lash with a whip. "What?" he said before he saw Samus standing there without her armor, which was laying outside the arena.
"And Samus has shed her Power suit and unleashed the Warrior Within!" Aura said.
"Leave the rest to me, brother." Tsuki said as she approached, dual scythe in hand. "Let's shake things up."
(Shift- Fight with Seymour- Final Fantasy X)
Corona backed off as an entirely new battle began. Zero Suit Samus fired off her plasma pistol in consecutive shots, stunning Tsuki a bit before getting rapidly kicked to the face with Samus's jet boot augmented kicks.
"Goodnight Moon!" Tsuki said as a lunar light from the Goodnight Sisters on her legs shined on Zero Suit Samus, lulling her to sleep. "Arrow of Artemis!" she said as she followed up by pulling a faintly sparkling arrow of ice from the back of her armor and fired it.
Shaking off the effects of the sleep, Samus barely evaded the Arrow of Artemis by flipping over it using her athleticism, but her boots were still frozen over just from touching the arrow.
"You'll find that my arrow works differently from Corona. Now that you're unable to use your jet boots for a while, which gives me time to…" she said before being hit by the weapon as she collapsed.
"Did you forget my weapon is a paralyzer?" Samus asked as she slowly approached.
"Man, she clearly isn't a pushover." Mayumi said.
"Let me ask you something. Can you withstand illusions conjured by the moon's power?" Tsuki asked. "Crescent Harken!" she said, bewitching Samus with the mysterious power of the moon as Samus saw herself as her opponent and dealt damage to herself for a few seconds before snapping out of it.
"Time for the finisher." Samus said as her ship came flying down and she jumped right into it.
"Alright, Corona. Time to pull out all the stops." Tsuki said.
"Right behind ya, Tsuki!" Corona said as the two brightly glowed their respective colors and flew towards each other and in their place was Grace Novamon.
"Haaa!" Samus called out as the gunship let out a powerful laser strike on the fused digimon.
"Calydon Arcus!" Grace Novamon called as they fired the eight Meleagros Blades they wear on their back as the blades collided with the laser before leading into an explosion as both sides were forced back with only Samus falling out of the arena.
"And that is the match! The winner of today's final battle is Grace Novamon! And that is all for today so enjoy your time left today!" Aura said.
"Phew… Today's matches were very intense." David said.
"And there's only two days left. So there may be more intensity left out there." Jexi said.
"That just makes it more interesting." Hope said.
"Definitely." Ace said. "Wonder what matches the next two days will bring."
"Hard to say. But for now…let's just rest and take it easy." Hope said.
