"Okay…we are now getting into match 10 of the day. Just this and one more and we're done for the day. As for our fighter…" Vi Per said. "He wanders the land with his trained instincts and skilled fists. He has faced many opponents and is ready for the next challenger! He is the Eternal Wanderer! Ryu!" she said as Ryu walked into the arena.
"I tell you, no matter how many times we see him, I can still feel such a powerful aura around him." David said.
"Well he is one of the strongest fighters in the world." Jexi said.
"Well, I hope you all don't mind if I take this one." Gankoomon said.
"Go for it, Master!" Jesmon said.
"And now…his opponent! A wanderer of a knight who has faced many challengers in his time and trained his own apprentice! He is the Martial Arts Knight! Gankoomon!" Vi Per said as Gankoomon entered the arena. "And the location will be…Suzaku Castle!" she added as the two appeared in an old japanese castle. "As always…let the battle…commence!"
The two quickly got things started with an exchange of fists against one another.
"Hadouken!" Ryu said, firing an energy blast into the Royal Knight. "Tatsumaki Senpukyaku!" he said as he went into a spinning kick against him.
Gankoomon caught Ryu by the leg mid-flight and threw him aside before dashing to deliver an attack of his own. He dealt several rapid punches at Ryu, the last one sending him back a few feet.
"You have impressive attacks. But you'll need more than that to defeat me." Ryu said. "Shoryuken!" he said, landing a strong uppercut to Gankoomon.
"You ain't so bad yourself. The road of a roaming martial artist is a perilous one. But you seem to have it all figured out." Gankoomon said.
"Indeed…which is why…I will finish you as quickly as possible." Ryu said gathering a lot of energy in his hands. "Shinku…Hadoken!" he said, firing a large Hadoken at the knight.
Gankoomon took a lot of damage from the attack, but was still able to stand. "Heh. That was quite a powerful blow. You see… I had to resort to basic attacks, because unlike the other Knights…I don't really have anything flashy to show. Which is why if you don't mind…I'll lay them all out right now!" he said as he picked up some of the granite from the stage and starts to flip it over on Ryu. When Ryu managed to survive that, Gankoomon lets loose Hinukamuy on Ryu, dealing a powerful fiery blow that sends him to the air. Gankoomon leaps up and charges his fist with energy. "Here comes the final blow. Hope you like it! Tekken Seisai!" He said as he releases of the energy from his fist with a single punch. Ryu attempted to block only to end up getting blown out of the arena and into the wall.
"Whoa man! He ended it with just a single punch! That pretty much cements it. The winner is…Gankoomon!" Vi Per said.
"A true martial artist speaks with their fists. And yours told me everything I needed to know." Gankoomon said. "One day, you will reach that peak of strength that you seek. And once you do, I shall be waiting for you again."
"Why is he talking to the unconscious…" Shantae said.
"Just go with it. Its a thing." Jexi said.
