"Our next match! This angel has fought against the forces of the Underworld numerous times. With bow in hand, he will take on any foe! He is the Captain of Palutena's Guard and one of the Dimensional Heroes Nine Commanders! Pit!" Chi Ta said as Pit walked into the arena.
"Sorry to keep you waiting." Pit said.
"He finally makes his appearance." Jalter said. "Ready to avenge his Goddess' loss."
"His Goddess' loss to your team." Theo said.
"That was literally the first round. I can't believe you really remembered that, Theo." Zacian said.
"A lot of my skills have improved since my resurrection. Including memory." Theo said.
"Hmm…Vera…how would you feel about taking this one for us?" Jalter asked. "We would like to keep from getting on Pit's bad side even further."
"Understandable. Master Teba would probably face Bowser anyway after his little declaration, so it wouldn't be fair to leave myself out." Vera said. "Good thing Bowser Jr. didn't pick me in this case, or things would've gotten…well, worse than they already have."
"Uh…do you want this or…" Jalter said.
"Yes, I do." Vera said as she headed down.
"And his opponent! A secretary with a powerful archery skill set and a good aim. She is the Sharp Eyed Attendant! Vera!" Chi Ta said.
"Greetings, Pit." Vera said.
"Oh…Vera. Huh…yeah. This could be fun." Pit said.
"And the location is…Skyworld!" Chi Ta said as they appeared on the small land cloud. "Let the battle…begin!"
"Here we go!" Pit said letting loose a number of arrows.
"Here's to start things off." Vera said as she fired lightning arrows to intercept.
"Whoa!" Pit said as he jumped back before summoning some Guardian Orbitars to block the attack.
"I can do this all day." Vera said as she started firing flaming arrows.
"Ha!" Pit said, landing a hit with his Upperdash Arm.
"Oof… Okay, I kind of set that one up." Vera said as she started firing Ice Arrows at the ground.
"Don't forget I don't just have experience with bows!" Pit said as he ran along the walls to fire at Vera with his arrows.
"Hmm… I'm going to need to be strategic here." Vera said as she fired ice arrows along the walls and ceiling.
"Ha! You missed…" Pit said before the ice cracked the floors and walls and broke them apart. "Ah!" he called out as he hit the ground.
"Gotcha! Seems like I didn't miss, after all." Vera said.
"Okay…let's get this over with. Phos! Lux!" Pit called out as something zoomed by as Pit seemingly vanished.
"What in the?" she said before seeing Pit in the distance riding on a chariot.
"The Lightning Chariot!" Dan said.
"Oh, this might be nasty." Vera said.
"If Pit manages to run her over with this thing, she's toast." Miu said.
"Such tremendous speed." Y'shtola said.
"Yeah…we had to chase that thing all around a track before we could win it." Jexi said.
Vera took a few deep breaths and closed her eyes to calm herself and wait for the right moment.
"Coming right at ya!" Pit said as the chariot raced right towards Vera.
Vera backs away before firing a bomb arrow straight towards its path. It manages to catch her foot, sending her right for the edge.
"Ha…just gotta do one more and…" Pit said as the chariot shook a bit before the device holding the steeds in place broke as they rode off. "Uh oh…ah!" Pit cried out as he was sent falling to the ground below.
"Now for the finisher!" Vera said as she somersaulted at Pit and strikes with her bow. A single, large target reticle appears around her and Pit as she jumps into the air. "Target locked!" she said as she then appears suspended upside down in the air, taking aim at Pit. "I'll end it all with this strike! Crisis Rain!" she shouted as she fired several arrow shaped lasers that home in on Pit.
"Oh come…" Pit said as they all hit on Pit. "On!" he cried out.
"And…he is out of here! Our winner for this fight is…Vera!" Chi Ta called out.
"Phew… That worked out well." Vera said with a bit of a wink as she returned to the stands.
"I can't believe you did that to me. I could have died." Pit said, appearing in the stands.
"Don't you get brought back to life by Palutena anyway?" Jexi asked.
"Well…yeah but…it's different." Pit said.
"Besides, I'm pretty sure she knew you could take it." Sectonia said.
"And you both fought valiantly." Y'shtola said.
"Uh…thanks?" Pit said.
"Only seven to go." Vera said.
