A MESSED UP DESTINY
A STAR WARS STORY
Chapter 42
Disclaimer: Disney owns everything and I make no profit from this.
Hello there everyone and welcome to chapter 42 of the story! This time we kick things into high gear as Anakin, Phantom and Angel use the information given to them by Fulcrum and attempt to steal evidence which would prove that Palpatine, his public persona at least, isn't the benevolent leader the Galaxy thinks him as, but rather that he also has some skeletons in his closet. This will of course pit them against all the wrong kinds of people, but when has that ever stopped Darth Vader?
Meanwhile, Obi Wan and Jango Fett are brought in to the Mandalorian throne room, and our brave Jedi Master is forced to face Duchess Satine once more, along with another, weirdly familiar face. As the three heroes enter a race against time to uncover the leader of Death Watch before he can launch a devastating attack on Mandalore, Obi Wan is forced to make a choice, and contemplates on the promises he's made so far…
And so…without further ado…let's dive right into chapter 42!
What Dwells in Darkness... As Jedi Master Obi Wan Kenobi arrives on Mandalore to hunt down Bo Katan, the deadly Death Watch member who attacked Senator Padme Amidala, Anakin Skywalker and his team are thrown into the Coruscanti Underworld as they attempt to recover a datapad with evidence against Chancellor Palpatine, one that Darth Sidious wants destroyed. Time is running out and malicious forces are closing in…will our heroes prevail or will they all be consumed by the shadows of evil?
Coruscant, Undercity, Anakin's point of view:
As my Angel and I walked down the abandoned corridors, Phantom tailing us and ensuring we weren't being followed, there was a sense of unease flowing through my veins. In reality, it was nothing more than nerves, and yet I couldn't help but worry about this mission. It wasn't often that we made such obvious moves against Sidious, but after Naboo…after what had happened there he certainly had it coming.
Siri's death had been…many things, one could say. Devastating for everyone, that was certain, but also infuriating, since it could have been easily prevented. Had I been there…I wouldn't have let it happen. And yet…my absence, my failure to predict that Sidious would act the way he did, had once again brought suffering to those around me, most of all Obi Wan.
The 212th may have loved Siri and saw her as someone to admire, to look up to, someone who would protect them, who had their back, but for my brother…she was the literal light of his life. He'd almost Fallen when she'd been taken by Phantoms, and he nearly Fell again when Sidious killed her. Worst off all, he was blaming himself for it, like usual. For an entire week he refused to sleep, tossing meals away with the Force, burning himself out and drowning into his work in the vain hope that he could make his heart stop burning…but nothing worked.
And that burn…I knew it all too well. Out of all the burns and scars I'd been left with after Mustafar, those which charred my heart into little less than a lump of coal were the ones that had and still did hurt the most. The thing that I had been reduced to after rejecting my humanity, after becoming more machine than man…I didn't want Obi Wan to make the same mistake, since it hadn't been the poorly made prosthetics which turned me into what Darth Vader had once been, but the choice to throw everything away, to reject what little I still had left and allow my hatred to set the Galaxy ablaze in a quest to annihilate anything and anyone that still held the memory of Anakin Skywalker.
And from what I'd been feeling from my brother's presence in the Force, that possibility was becoming more and more likely by the second, and it was all Sidious' fault. Seeing Obi Wan, my best friend and brother, in such agony made my blood boil with the heat of a lava river, and the familiar tune revenge start playing in the back of my head. Sidious had put me through unimaginable torture for nearly six whole years while I'd been trapped inside that horrifying suit, but the Galaxy be damned, I wasn't going to let him hurt Obi Wan again!
No…what this Sith-spawn had done called for the grandest vengeance, and yet I hadn't found the time to draft a concrete plan while on the Resolute, for I still had to take care of Obi Wan, since he refused to do it himself. Between babysitting my brother, checking on Fulcrum, drafting new plans with my Angel, keeping an eye on Coruscant through Phantom, revealing the Inhibitor Chips to Rex and Cody, training with Revan and covering his men's tracks after the latest Sith Phantom had been defeated, there hadn't been much time for even sleep, never mind revenge.
It was all undeniably frustrating, but this was what it took to even try and get a single step ahead of Sidious, and I wasn't going to give him time to dash past us again. The time to strike was now, and I knew it would have to be something massive, something that would give him sleepless nights for a change, and then finally, Fulcrum had come through with a plan to expose the misdeeds of Sidious' public persona to keep the Galaxy's collective eyes glued on him, which would allow us all some respite from this constant effort to thwart one plot after the other.
"Ani?", my Angel suddenly asked, nudging my shoulder with a heavenly touch. For a single moment, underneath the fires of hate and anger directed at Sidious, I felt as if two Convors were soaring in great laps around my heart, but the giddy feeling gave way to unbreakable focus and determination as soon as the Undercity came into view, or at least when I realized that my Angel was trying to tell me that we'd arrived.
Not wanting her to worry, I reached into our Bond and offered whatever assurance I could muster, making sure to keep my Mental Shields slammed shut as to not let a single indication of my presence leak into the Force. Sidious could not know that we were down here, or what we were looking for. Admittedly, while most of the names on Fulcrum's list had been left as later work for Angel and Phantom, a single one had stood out to me, and not for a good reason.
Yan Dooku. Of course, everyone now knew him as Leader of the CIS, and the man's older friendship with the now Chancellor seemed entirely forgotten, or rather, Sidious had snuffed out all those who remembered it as more than just another political alliance in the grand scheme of things. But…there were still records of its existence, long forgotten conversations between two about how the Republic should be, about what they could achieve together, as allies.
It had all been lies to twist a noble man with good intentions to the Dark Side and drag him down into the Darkest Pit of Hell, but Fulcrum had done an excellent job pointing out how detrimental it could be to the Chancellor's reputation, especially after what my Angel had said and done during our return from the Malevolence mission. And with the reputation of his public persona ruined, the secrets he'd long been keeping would find themselves in the light soon enough. Or so we all hoped anyways…
Without verbally responding to the second nudge from my Angel, I motioned for us to move forwards. The Force was telling me to quicken my pace, or else we'd lose what we coming down here for, and so the three of us made our way down dirty alleyways, through the local 'entertainment' hotspots, and eventually, into the backdoor of on old, abandoned incinerator in the works.
If a couple dozen thugs happened to have their necks snapped or if some of those 'entertainment' businesses had few 'performers' go missing, then that was just part of daily life in the Undercity. Nothing they could do about it anyway, since the Coruscant Guard had been conveniently bumping into said girls for the past hour and they had all been escorted to the surface levels, with their owners dashing for the nearest spaceport soon after, and with those instances all taken care of, the three of us could focus on finding that datapad.
It didn't take us nearly as little time to locate the darned thing, mostly because of the guards that were crawling around the building, searching for intruders in every nook and cranny. Well…at least the presence of Sidious' elite Clone Unit meant that this was serious business, and that the datapad hadn't been destroyed yet, or they wouldn't be here.
With a hand signal to Phantom, he nodded and got to work, wearing the Dark Side around himself like a mystic cloak as he Force Phased through walls, floors and ceilings to take Sidious' men down as quietly as possible, allowing Angel and I to sneak past them undetected. I did have to Force Choke a squad that nearly spotted us at some point, but they'd been reduced to ashes after Phantom's use of Pyrokinesis.
Once the first dozen guards were taken out, it was time to head further inside the facility and towards the incinerator, where the Commander of this group would be, the datapad undoubtedly with him. My Angel took charge as I helped Phantom dispose of the last body, and quickly led us through a few more corridors until we arrived at the Datapad's designated location, which the Force was more than happy to confirm.
Unsurprisingly, the room, just like the rest of the building, reeked of the Dark Side, clear evidence of Sidious having been here not too long ago. But if that was the case…then why wasn't the evidence destroyed? Surely if he had the time to come all the way down here, he would have seen to it himself?
Phantom, seeing an opening in the formation of the guards, used a powerful Mind Trick to stop them from perceiving him as he advanced to the center of the room, where the Datapad resided on a deactivated conveyer belt, ready to be tossed into a vat of lava with the flip of a switch. As he moved forwards, one of the guards twitched when Phantom's lightsaber came too close to his helmet, but surely that was just a trick of the light. They couldn't see him, and Sidious was definitely in his office, so in all likelihood these guys were alone down here.
As I pondered the situation in my mind, Angel shot me a look, getting my attention. She pointed towards the Trooper I could swear had reacted to Phantom's presence, and whispered to me in a low voice. "I'm not the only one who saw that one move, right?", she asked, awaiting my answer.
I hastily whispered back at her, never taking my eyes off Phantom as he sidestepped two patrolling guards, inching closer to the Datapad. "No, I think he reacted.", I confirmed for Angel.
"If they can see us, then why not attack?", she asked, hand going to her blaster pistol.
I refrained from shrugging. "No idea, but it's probably a trap somehow. I just can't see it yet…", I replied as Phantom finally reached the Datapad, having climbed onto the conveyer belt to get it.
"Should we spring it?", Angel inquired, her own eyes glued to our ally. I wanted to say 'yes', but we both knew that we couldn't risk the evidence disk being damaged in a fight, which would certainly happen with my Skywalker luck.
I was about to tell her that we'd attack right after Phantom got the Datapad, but just as he grabbed it, the Trooper standing next to the conveyer controls suddenly slammed his hand on the activation button, and Phantom lost his balance, falling over. The other junk was now moving on top and around him, but he still held a tight grip on the Datapad. Sidious' soldiers began firing at us, probably considering him a dead man, so Angel and I sprang into action, my sapphire blade deflecting all bolts coming at us as she took every opportunity to shoot back, downing at least half our opponents in mere seconds.
The rest were dealt with quickly after a blast of Force Destruction from me, which annihilated them completely, leaving something less than dust behind. I'd been training with this power ever since I nearly killed Senator Burtoni with it, and while I still wasn't capable of unleashing its true planet-destroying potential, a couple measly soldiers were easy enough to handle.
As the last Trooper fell to the floor, dead, Phantom let out a cry of warning as he lobbed the Datapad in the air right before his form disappeared from sight. Mere seconds later, screams of agony could be heard, if only for a moment, and then all was quiet. After assuring my Angel that since Phantom was tethered to Revan with a Force Bond, he could not die again, we turned to leave the facility, having gotten what we came for.
Before we did so however, my Angel spun around to take one last look at the vat, her expression softening at she contemplated what had happened to Phantom. "I'm just glad there aren't any more surprises.", she said with a sigh of relief, and I squeezed her hand comfortingly as I slid the door open with the Force…only to reveal a dark figure on the other side, two crimson lightsabers ignited, and both pointing at us…
Meanwhile, Mandalore, Obi Wan's point of view:
Mandalore's Capital city Sundari was as beautiful as the last time I'd visited, for diplomatic reasons at least, since a flaming city with a background of explosions didn't offer the best memories. Just one more reason to put an end to Maul the second he cropped up and not a moment after, to never let him so much as think of setting foot here. He would never hurt Satine again, I'd decided that long ago.
Speaking of Satine, two Mandalorian Royal Guards stepped forwards to greet Jango and I, somewhere between impressed and suspicious of him since his ideology of Mandalorian Culture clashed with Satine's, but I simply gave them an affirming nod, conveying that he was my responsibility. The duo backed off after I surrendered my lightsaber, with Jango reluctantly handing over his blasters. Of course, they were far from his only weapons, but the guards didn't need to know that.
Once a squad of six guards was sent to guard the Slave I on Jango's insistence, we finally got on the same speeder that had taken me to see Satine nine years ago, to the very throne room where she would breathe her last breath barely a year later. Thankfully, I was determined not to let that happen, so Satine would be safe. I'd see to it myself in due time.
Not even halfway through our ride to the palace, Jango had gotten bored of looking around the buildings we passed, and decided to engage in conversation with me to pass the time, and unbeknownst to the guards, keep himself from ranting about how this entire city was a waste of Beskar, as he'd already done once in the ship right after we'd left Coruscant.
"So…know anything about the Duchess? Or at least something I should know?", he asked, as if mentioning the weather in passing. The guards tensed at that, and the Force revealed that Jango was delighted to see them squirm. To each their own, one could suppose…
Catching his drift, I played along, if only to distract myself and keep my anxieties from overtaking me once we got to the palace doors. "Well…Satine and I are old friends, I suppose. The last she saw of me was when I was sent here on a mission to protect her from insurgents. We parted on good terms, so I'm hoping she's more receptive of our investigation than the usual politician.", I answered Jango, choosing my words carefully as to not lie. There was no reason for that or any 'half-truths', but if Anakin ever heard me say so he'd never stop holding it over my head.
"Huh. Never pegged you for the type to go after royalty, Kenobi.", Jango mussed, joking good-naturedly. I only rolled my eyes at his comment, not wanting to provoke him in fear of further teasing.
After a few moments of silence, I simply returned to gazing at the magnificent city around us, until we finally arrived at the Royal Palace. Once there, a second pair of guards searched us for weapons, causing Jango to grumble something about them being wusses I pretended not to hear, and our party of six moved forwards and into the main chamber, where Satine was sitting on her throne, a young ginger boy standing at her. He seemed…familiar somehow, as if I was supposed to know him, but I couldn't remember if I'd met him anywhere before. Perhaps I'd seen him around here before the Purges?
Evidently too impatient to wait for her to greet us, Jango cleared his throat loudly, catching the attention of both Satine and Prime Minister Almec, the traitor that had nearly overthrown Satine's government, who also had ties to Death Watch. He was someone to be wary of, and Jango seemed to think the same given the hostility I could feel in his presence, which was all directed at the man in question.
"Ah, Master Kenobi! You're here!", Satine exclaimed in a polite and almost indifferent tone, showing precisely as much enthusiasm as she was allowed to while Almec was in the room. Upon glancing at Jango, she seemed to hesitate for a moment before going through with her greeting. "And Jango Fett. I've heard of your exploits serving the Republic Army.", she noted, but Jango said nothing in return.
Seeing that he wasn't going to speak up, I tried to continue the conversation as diplomatically as possible, not letting a single hint of emotion slip into my voice, for if one did, then the rest would sure follow, and since I had seen Satine die in my arms, it would probably lead to an embarrassing incident. "Duchess Satine, we are most grateful that you have granted us an audience. I know that Mandalore is a neutral planet, so we won't be staying long.", I said in an 'assuring' tone.
In truth, a part of me wanted to do just that, to stay on Mandalore forever and never walk out on the battlefronts again, but just the part of me which was forever stuck in a hailstorm of blaster fire and explosions, I knew that I couldn't let it dictate my actions. There were bigger problems at hand anyways…
Satine nodded politely at my response, but the tone of my voice seemed to seed a deep disappointment in her eyes, as if she'd been expecting a different reaction from me. It was gone barely a second later, and if I didn't know her so well I'd have thought it was never there at all, so I didn't bring it up, instead trying to steer the conversation towards something more friendly, to show that I wasn't here as just a Jedi Master.
"And, if I may ask, who is this?", I inquired in the tone reserved for Republic Senators. Satine was obviously displeased at hearing it since she used it quite often herself, but I couldn't do anything about that right now. I just had to find Bo Katan, get evidence that Sidious was behind the attack, and then I could leave, hopefully without breaking Satine's heart.
I knew she still held feelings for me, as I had for her once upon a time…but it was too soon. Far too soon to even consider the mere thought, but she didn't know that. Satine probably thought I didn't care about her anymore, and the very thought made my insides flip upside down. I had to tell her somehow, at least indirectly. I couldn't let her make assumptions about this, because Satine was a stubborn woman. Once she got something in her head, no one was getting her to quit on it.
Snapping myself out of my thoughts and awaiting Satine's answer, I barely noticed that her expression had now shifted ever so slightly. It was extremely subtle, but her features betrayed that her guard was up for whatever reason. Surely I hadn't said something to upset her?
"This…is my nephew, Korkie. Korkie, this is Jedi Master Obi Wan Kenobi, an old friend of mine." I stood perfectly still upon hearing her answer. All but one of Satine's siblings had died at the hands of the same insurgents Qui Gon and I had been sent to protect her from, and I never caught wind of Bo Katan having any kids. If Korkie was her son, then she would have raised him as a member of Death Watch, and certainly wouldn't have left him with her sister. Just how exactly was this possible?
"Master Kenobi? Are you unwell?", Korkie suddenly asked, and I realized I must have zoned out for a moment or two.
Not wanting the child to worry about things that weren't his problem, I was about to deny that anything was wrong…but the look Satine sent me changed that. She was staring into my eyes with an understanding I'd rarely received from anyone, with Siri, Anakin, Qui Gon and sometimes Cody being the only other people on that list.
It pushed me to tell the truth, and yet…I couldn't bring myself to do so fully, not now at least. "I…I apologize. I recently suffered the loss of a close friend, but that is not the topic of discussion!", I said to the boy, hastily correcting myself after letting that slip.
Before I could so much as think about what to say next, Jango stepped forwards, the two guards at the door readying their weapons as he did so. He paid them no mind. "Duchess, we're here to investigate a member of Death Watch. She attacked a Republic Senator recently and we've been sent to hunt her down.", he informed Satine, in his voice a diplomatic tone I'd never heard from Jango before.
I didn't dare slide him a look, not even to express that he'd impressed me, not that Satine would have given me the chance. Her eyes almost went wide at the mention of Death Watch and she immediately raised a hand to interrupt Jango, speaking in a guarded tone. "I can assure the Republic that the Death Watch is simply a group of vandals. Nothing we'll need any sort of interference with from anyone. They pose no threat.", Satine argued, and this was when I knew I had to get my head straight, because she was making the same mistake as last time, and ignoring them had gotten her killed in the end, so I wouldn't let that be repeated.
"Duchess, a woman in Mandalorian armor bearing their symbol broke into a restricted area on Coruscant, murdered four people and tried to assassinate a Senator. If that is not grounds for interference, then I truly don't know what is.", I protested firmly, unwilling to leave until Satine relented.
Unfortunately, she wasn't one to easily back off, and Satine stepped forward, an enormous fire burning in her eyes. "Master Jedi, Mandalore is a neutral system and despite what this supposed member of Death Watch has done, that still doesn't excuse the Republic's blatant meddling with our personal affairs! If my blessing is what you're here for, then I suggest that you leave!", Satine proclaimed, standing tall and firm in her ideas as always. A shame I wouldn't let that fly this time.
Just as I was about to respond, Jango suddenly stomped on the floor with his boot, giving him the attention of the entire room. "Listen here, Duchess! My buir died fighting Death Watch! They were powerful enough to turn the Galactic Senate's favor against a group of innocents because we tried to stand up against them, and that was twenty years ago! If you're arrogant enough to think they aren't going to crush you-!", Jango yelled, and I motioned for him to stop, but he ignored me.
Satine on the other hand, he did not ignore at all. Jango's gaze hardened on her underneath his helmet, and I could tell that this was a touchy subject for him. The Battle of Galidraan had been one of the Jedi Order's biggest mistakes in the last millennium, and that was saying a lot considering the entire ordeal of the Clone Wars themselves. Jango certainly wasn't going to stop until his point was made, but this wasn't helping the situation one bit. If anything, Satine appeared to get more ticked off by the second, seeing as in her eyes, Jango was advocating for a 'violent' manhunt conducted by the Republic, in her system.
"-and I'm telling you that it's our job to capture her, so if you'd just let us haul her shebs back to Coruscant, you won't see us again for a very long time!" Jango was continuing to argue with Satine, who was beyond mad at this point.
"No! I will not allow a Republic Operation to take place on my planet! Absolutely not!" …She was also adamant that this was going against her personal beliefs and meddling with her people's business, the latter of which it did technically do, so this was going to take a long time…
"You know what? If Death Watch really isn't a threat, then why don't you join us as we try to find our assassin, and if they're really just small-time trouble makers, I'll take back everything I just said!", Jango yelled, proposing what I had been about to perhaps by accident, but at least it made Satine stop for a moment as she considered the idea.
After a few seconds of tense silence, she finally responded. "Very well then. We're all going, but since the Republic has no jurisdiction here, you're both following my rules.", Satine exclaimed, and I used the Force to physically shut Jango's mouth before he started arguing again. Knowing her, this was the best we'd ever get out of Satine, especially after this debacle of a meeting. Well, relative debacle, considering we were still getting what we wanted. Then again, all good compromises must end without either party fully satisfied.
And so that was how Jango and I ended up following an angry Satine all the way back to Slave I as she walked with a regal presence around her, while I found it hard to refrain from chuckling at the fact that Satine would be stomping right now if she could. At least we weren't being hunted down by deadly Mandalorians this time, at least not yet. As Jango fell into step beside me, he shot me a satisfied smile from underneath his visor, and I realized that this had been his plan all along.
Shooting him an impressed look, I didn't dare change a single thing in my expression less Satine catch onto it, but I did whisper to him once she was out of hearing range. "I assume that her policy of pacifism has been bothering you for a while?", I asked in a hushed tone.
Jango nodded an affirmative. "Yes. Besides, someone had to tell her.", he added, and I pretended not to notice the sly smile that was much like Waxer's right after that man pulled pranks on his brothers. I usually pretended to be oblivious to it because it was fun watching as Cody tried to deal with him, but the similarity was certainly there.
Letting out a small sigh of acceptance, I nonverbally agreed with my friend. In truth, Satine's way of doing things was good for peacetime, but War was ravaging the Galaxy around her, and she couldn't keep pretending that dangers didn't exist. Besides…sometimes we are forced to do what needs to be done, even if we don't want to. War is like that... With a second and noticeably louder sigh, I nodded to Jango again, knowing that Satine was already cross with me for bringing him along after what had happened, and I'd rather face a million Battle Droids before having to deal with a Satine whose anger was fully directed at me. By the time we caught up with her, she was already waiting by the ramp, arms crossed in front of her chest. This was going to be a long ride…
And…scene! There you have it everyone, Chapter 42 of A Messed Up Destiny! I have to admit that this one was very fun to write, but also frustrating in some parts. I swear I don't know why describing someone walking to the other side of a room is harder than a lightsaber duel, but it was also the fact that Satine was part of it. Of course, this was by no means any sort of 'deep dive' into her character or anything, and we'll save the one-on-on interactions between her and Obi Wan for later, but it was still very hard to pinpoint exactly how she'd react to this situation, especially with the added element of Jango.
Anyways, we have quite a bit to cover today, so without further ado…let's move on to the exposition!
Firstly, Anakin. I've already talked about this last chapter, but Anakin is behaving much more like Darth Vader in these last chapters, and now we've got the reasons for that. Admittedly, this wouldn't be the first time Anakin has lost it because of someone around him suffering (que Ahsoka's kidnapping, Zygerria Arc, post-Umbara, The Wrong Jedi, ROTS, etc.) , but it's now affecting his general demeanor and isn't just confined to momentary anger or an emotional outburst. Thankfully, he seems to be calming down a bit during this chapter, his focus entirely on the objective and away from negative thoughts, so hopefully he'll be back to normal soon enough.
Secondly, Angel. Admittedly, I want you guys to figure out who she is. I feel like I've given so many hints in the past couple chapters her very name, the fact that Anakin is calling her 'my Angel' should be the biggest one, so hopefully someone can figure it out before I reveal her identity myself, because I will do so eventually.
Also, can I just say that Anakin and co just casually make a dent in the Coruscanti Underworld's criminal organizations? This is just a fun little thing I threw in there, but it's totally in character for both him and Angel to be very much against all that happens under the surface on the Republic's Capital Planet, and of course Anakin is super casual about it.
Thirdly, Phantom's 'death'. For starters, he isn't actually dead. Just making that clear in case anyone didn't get it. This segment was only placed there to show that Sith Phantoms and Revan/Anakin's men still have the same strengths and weaknesses, meaning that they are indestructible if drawing energy from the Force, or bonded to a 'Battlelord' (term was explained in Shadows of the Sith Chapter 3). This means that –since they are essentially Light Side-Phantoms, they abide by the same rules the Dark Side (in this case the Sith) ones do. Just as a bit of an explanation to clear this up.
Lastly, Jango Fett. Since Jango's past in Legends is a bit confusing in regards to the timeline, I'm using his canon backstory here, along with some elements from his Legends! story, like the fact that his mentor and adoptive father was a member of the True Mandalorians, a group which held onto the Warrior Traditions of Mandalore, but didn't violently express them or try and force them onto others like Death Watch does, instead preferring to abide by their code of honor.
And since Death Watch was behind the Battle of Galidraan, which wiped all the other True Mandalorians out, Jango obviously considers them a real threat and is angry at Satine for ignoring them, or even worse dismissing them entirely like the does. Of course she doesn't actually believe what she said, but it's still enough to tick Jango off, at least until he realizes it and uses her methods against her.
Next time: As Anakin Skywalker and Angel face off against a Sith in the underbelly of Coruscant, Obi Wan Kenobi hunts down the deadly Bo Katan, and is about to run into a more trouble than what he signed up for as tensions rise between his two companions.
That's all for now everyone! Reviews are always welcome, whether it be to ask question or to chat, and I'll see you all next chapter, but until then, May the Force be with you!
