"It's my wedding day. I'm getting married to Ash. Ash Ketchum. My Ash. Oh... my... god." I wasn't able to stop smiling. I didn't have the slightest inclination to imitate anyone today. I wanted everyone to notice me... for me.
Which was why I had Delia, soon to be be my Mum... oh god, I have a mother. OHMYGOD! I have family! Anyway, that was why I had her do my hair up the way I wanted it to be, which was everything. Rather than have my usual straight hair, I'd been up since the wee early hours of the morning in curlers, and foil. Not just doing hair. Creating art. I wanted everything to be perfect for me and Ash, but more than that, I wanted everyone to think that I was stunning. That I was worthy of such a perfect boy. His mother was really nice too. It was going to be good to inherit the family I wanted. Speaking of which...
"Are you sure want to be so... extreme, Duplica dearest?" Delia said with a reserved expression. "You can still go natural colours for the ceremony, you know!" with a cheerful smile. She had really delectable smiles, and great hugs. Not nearly as good as an extended cuddling session from Ashy boy... and another smile had broken out. I guess they're infectious. Ditto! Where he'd been, I don't know, but he suddenly popped up out of nowhere onto my legs. Squishy Ditto. Very good for hugging. Again, not nearly as good as Ash, but nothing is, so he's a bad thing to use as a comparison piece.
Good for everything else though. Blushing, red spreading throughout my face. Ditto, being nearly able to read my mind turned all red with embarrassment. "Oh... the blushing bride on her wedding day. About to be wed to my baby!" Again, the extremely sufferable Delia Ketchum, hovering around me with one of her beautiful smiles. She felt the same way about Ash that I did. Well, not the same way. Hopefully not the same way. Ew. But on a more serious I didn't need to worry about Delia being jealous of me. Did I?
No. Decidedly, and forever, no. Delia was not going to lose her son, she was going to gain a daughter. We'd be living, when we weren't leading a nomadic lifestyle, in Saffron city, in my apartment. Ash would set out in the early morning for the local training fields, or challenge people on the street, (but more likely than not, be challenged. My boy was fairly famous in the world of Pokemon trainers.), and I'd be acting in plays and movies. I already had several contracts set up, ready to sign. I'd invited my agent to the wedding.
Oh, the wedding. Delia's backyard was absolutely perfect for the setting. It was able to hold all the people we expected and many more besides. Her land backed onto a lake, so we had a beautiful backdrop for the priest. We'd instructed Pikachu (Huggable, and Ash's, so the closest thing to hugging Ash) and Ditto in how to be ring bearers. Basically, come when called, bring these shiny things. Rings. Engagement ring! My jaw had dropped wide open when Ash pulled the box out from behind his back, even if he dropped it midway. Typical Ash. Typical... lovely... beautiful... wonderful...

Behind the veil everything was a little blurred, and slightly purple. I'd picked the color theme of the wedding, and violet was the go. So were green, yellow, blue and a menagerie of other colours. People were going to remember this wedding. Me most of all. Most weddings, incidentally, have cake that isn't particularly memorable. I'd gone the same route, if by 'same route' you mean 5 staggering feet of chocolate mudcake laced with mint and all sorts of great tasting sweeties on top. Just a general mishmash of awesomeness.
Anyway. At the podium. Professor Samuel Oak, who at some point did some training as a priest. Kind of bizarre for a researcher if you ask me, but he is interested in everything, so why not learn a little about religion? He was wearing just your basic priest uniform, but I'd gotten him a pope hat, and he was into the spirit of things, so he wore it. He beamed down at everyone throughout the whole ceremony. Next to him was his grandson Gary, who Ash had decided to throw a bone to in the spirit of niceness, and made him best man, 1 of 2, since he also made Brock best man. Brock couldn't wrangle 3 babysitters at once, so he made us promise to pass by Pewter City once we'd come off the honeymoon.
Immediately before me was my bridesmaid of honour, and since she had never been married, that pick went straight to Delia. She was soooooooo beautiful. She was just wearing a strapless purple dress, but she walked with such dignity and grace and... everything. Such a great mother, and mother to be.
Immediately behind me was my one bridesmaid, one of the few concessions I had made to tradition. Misty. She'd really filled out since we met as preteens. Her hair had gone into wavy locks, and it was no longer the hated orange, but deep cherry red. Some sixth sense told me that it was a bottled red, but I wasn't going to give away her secret. Her hips, and her other measurements were looking womanly as well. I'd gotten together with Misty some time previously to organize the dress, and it had ended in a rather large cat fight, so I was fairly surprised that she'd come. I was afraid at first that she was going to let the green-eyed monster ruin the day, but when I was doing my hair, she came and spoke to me, letting me know how happy she was that Ash and I had fallen in love, how he deserved someone who loved him as much as I, how great the day was going to be. Perhaps she'd matured more than Ash had let on?
Speaking of maturity... Ash, a far cry from being the weedy little guy that he'd once been, was now the hulking 6 and a half foot tall(In comparison, I came up to his shoulder), tuxedo and Pokemon-League-hat wearing, Pikachu carrying love of my life. He'd filled out horizontally as well. Built like a fridge, but he didn't carry an ounce of fat on him. Not a bodybuilder, but on the way, and most of it genetic. Delia was so petite though! It made me really wonder who the father could be, except that Delia really didn't seem to want to talk about it. I respected her enough to stifle my curiosity. I didn't want to, but I did.
Looking around the tent-cum-gazebo I saw people who I knew and a lot of people who were here from Ash's family, through Delia. I thought I recognized most everyone, but right at the back was a large guy wearing a black business suit flanked by a pair of what looked like bodyguards. I couldn't very well ask Delia or Ash who he was, so I decided to ignore him. What the hell, it looked like he was there for the same reason everyone else was.
My love awaited me. Ditto too.

Standing. Facing my boy. Feeling really light headed. Blushing like mad. Letting the whole world know that Ash and I were completely and utterly in love. That we would care for each other. Be there for each other, in sickness and in health. That we were one in everything. That's what I remember from my time at the front of all my friends, wearing the most multi-coloured(And stunningly beautiful at that) wedding dress ever(Plus one bouquet with 2 dozen roses), having my veil pulled back by Ashy. Then he completely surprised me and pulled out his own vows, ones that he had written without ever letting me know. But... he dropped them. Facedrop moment, indeed. Unable to sort the cue cards out within a few seconds, he threw them over his shoulder and spoke from his heart.
"Duplica Xeras Imite, I feel like I've known you forever. You're a caring, intelligent, beautiful woman. You have aspirations and the means to accomplish them. You love my mom, and she loves you." Delia nodding here, tears in her eyes. I know I was crying. "Each day with you brings wonders beyond my greatest dreams. I would know no greater pleasure in this life than to spend the rest of it with you, my one love. Duplica, I pledge myself to you, in mind, body and soul, in all things great and small. Wherever you go, I will be, if you will have me as your husband." Taking off his hat, kneeling before me, "My love, will you let me be yours, to cherish you, to hold you? Do you consent to marry one so lowly as I?"
Tears pouring out of my eyes by then. All I could do was nod and say two words softly. "I do."
Professor Oak, crying himself by then suddenly remembered what he was acting as and came up with, "Then by the powers vested in me once upon a time by the First Catholic Church of Tokyo, I dub you husband and wife. Ash, for gods sake, kiss your bride." And he did. I jumped up into his arms, throwing the monster bouquet as I did. I don't know who caught it, but I snatched a glimpse of Ditto turning into a Meowth and launching himself at it, closely followed by Pikachu. Cradled in my husbands arms(finally...), my head nestled into his neck, Ash let off a whistle, calling Ditto and Pikachu back. Both were a little dejected, as neither had grabbed the bouquet, but they jumped up on Ash anyway, who carried all three of us off to the waiting limo.
As we got in, my love began kissing me deeply, passionately. We didn't stop until we got to the harbor, and that was only to get out. Ash carried me onto the cruise ship, our bags already loaded. The two of us, plus Pikachu and Ditto, were going to travel around Europe. Paris. I'd always wanted to go to Paris. But before that... We got to our room and Ash kicked the door shut behind us.

A.N Not as dark as you may have expected from the prologue. I don't care. Sticks tongue out Angst/drama/horror is fun, yes, but this is what came out when I said to myself, "Write". Besides, it's a wedding. Who'd be mean enough to mess up a wedding? Don't worry though, night's coming. Heh heh heh heh...
