Elliot inwardly groaned; Liv was honestly confused when did this happen, when did they take this vast step that could ruin their partnership. Not only could it ruin their partnership but their friendship. Liv's brain was racing with different scenarios that could have happened if his phone hadn't rung. But would she have been mad about probable not she wanted this but at the she knew that he was fresh out of a long term marriage and he could possibly want her could he? She was never good in a relationship. She would run as soon as they would try to commit to anything more serious. Elliot walked back into the room and said that they had another witness that came forward and that they needed to get down to the precinct.
They walked into the precinct and their witness was already in an interview room. "This isn't the first time Jake has done something like this," Avery Turner said. Both Elliot and Olivia look at each other confused. They check police reports on Jake Rivers and nothing shows up. They both were listening now. "In August the same thing happened to me but I was threatened and was afraid to go to the police. I went to the hospital afterwards but was too afraid to press charges." Avery was starting to get emotional and one tear slid down her face and she wiped it away. "I herd about a girl getting raped on campus and some one said it was at one of Jake Rivers party. His parents told me that I would lose my scholarship and my family can't afford to pay without it."
Olivia asked if she could get Avery's rape kit processed and although she was scared that they could help her. Avery agreed because she couldn't stand him getting away with this. That just because his family has money doesn't mean that he can get away with this and he couldn't threaten a person for reporting. Elliot got a call from Melinda Warner there ME and the results of Avery's rape kit. It showed fluids, and it was the same fluids that were in Molly's rape kit. With the overwhelming evidence the got a warrant for Jake Rivers dna and it matched to both of the rape kits. With that they closed the case and they wrote up their DD5's. Liv was heading out for the day and Elliot invited her to get some drinks with the rest of the squad.
They get to Meloni's bar and the bartender asks what they wanted El got a whiskey on the rocks and Liv cabernet. The rest of the squad got beers and they started talking about the case. When El's phone rang he walked out of the bar and answered "Stabler" "Hey daddy" Lizzie said "Hey how are" he replied "I'm good I wanted to know if this weekend if we could go do something just us" "sure tell what you want to do" "can we go to the mall and then get lunch" Elliot inwardly groaned as much as he hated the mall he was going to go because he hasn't gotten to spend that much time with his kids. "Sure I will pick you up at 1:30" "okay I love you be safe" "I love you too and I will" with that he hung up.
He walked back into the bar in a sad mood. He missed his kids so much and he hasn't gotten to see them because of their schedules. "Hey is everything okay" Liv asked "yeah everything is fine." Munch and Fin noticed something was up with the two partners lately so Munch asked "What going on between the two of you?" They both replied nothing in a semi serious tone. Fin raised an eyebrow at them because he knew something was going on but they just weren't telling. Fin was like a brother to Liv so when she was ready she would tell him.
Liv was the first one to call it a night she paid her tab and held a cab. Then it just left the guys alone. "So seriously what is going on between you and liv" Munch asked "Nothing I'm pretty sure we said that earlier when you were going on about some conspiracy theories" Elliot replied slightly annoyed with him. Elliot was next to call it a night and got into a cab back to his apartment.
He checked his phone and saw he had a text message. Kathleen- Hey dad just wanted to see how you are. Haven't seen you in 2 week and would love to come over this weekend. Elliot- Hey sorry honey I have been busy with work. But I would love to come and get you guys this weekend. Lizzie and I are going to the mall Saturday so I can come and get you guys Friday once I get off work. Kathleen- That sounds perfect. I tell the others that you're coming to get us on friday. You should also invite Liv to go with us and get dinner Saturday. Elliot- Shes probable busy saturday but I will see. Kathleen- Okay I love you see you Saturday. Elliot- I love you too.
He closed his phone and looked up and stared out of the window getting lost in his thought. When did things change between Liv and him; They always knew each other better than anyone they could anticipate the other move. They hadn't talked about anything other than the cases since that morning he stayed over at her place. The next day he woke up and got ready for work. He hopped into his truck and went to starbucks and got him and Liv coffee. Because no one wanted Munch's disgusting coffee that tastes like motor oil. He walked into the squad room and handed her a coffee. Munch and Fin looked at him and asked when there were. Elliot just shrugged his shoulders and sat at his desk.
