On a sunny morning, Island of the Black Spot were on their way to school on their skateboards when they spotted Studio 25. They got out their spray paint and started painting insulting drawings of Big G. A.J. came out and saw them doing their creative destructive deed, "That's not art," A.J. said as he took some black paint spray. "*This* is art."
He started to spray paint a realistic dead rose on the wall. After he finished the rose, Big G came out and was very angry, "A.J.!" shouted Big G. "Your defacing studio property!"
A.J. tried to explain to Big G that Island of the Black Spot was the real culprit, but they escaped on their skateboards, "I wish I could fire you," Big G said, "but I remember that if I give a pink slip to either you or your Backstreet buddies, my grandkids will get angry at me. So I'm going to make you clean this mess up."
"Whatever," growled A.J.

Meanwhile, at Sally Ride Middle School, Vincenzo was getting out of math class with Ginger when he spotted Lewis by his locker. Lewis was annoyed because Vincenzo liked Ginger, "Listen here," whispered Vincenzo. "If you wanna get Ginger to like you, you gotta be bad as A.J."
This gave Vincenzo an idea. As he got into the bathroom, he took off his denim jacket, messed up his hair to look like A.J.'s, placed on some shades and said, "Goodbye, Vincenzo - Hello, V.J."

An hour later, Vincenzo was going around acting a lot like A.J. Instead of being amazed, everyone was petrified by Vincenzo's change. Ginger was coming out of her Language Arts class when she spotted the A.J. wannabe. "Vincenzo?" she asked in horror.
"It's V.J. now," V.J. replied. "And care for a smooch?"
Ginger didn't kiss him. Instead, she ran off to Faith, Nadine, Jessie, and Dorothy. The girls were a bit angry at V.J. for not acting like himself. Then V.J. got an idea, "Hey., Dorth!" he shouted. "Nick wants to kiss you. He's in the room with the boys on it."
Dorothy fell for it, but Faith, Ginger, Nadine, and Jessie thought it was strange because it was 1pm and Nick and the others don't pick them up for another hour and a half. Also, they knew that the picture with the boy in it was the boys' restroom. "AAAAAAAGH!" shouted a boy. "There's a girl in here!"
All the boys in there quickly ran out while Dorothy barged in in a fit of rage. "Not funny, Vincenzo!" she shouted. "That was the most humiliating thing you ever did to me. Not only you made me go into the men's room, but I also didn't get to kiss Nick."
Principal Pocock was doing her weekly class inspection when she spotted Vincenzo, "Vincenzo Jacopo Guidi," she growled, "we don't hurt people by tricking them into going into the wrong bathroom. that's detention., "Detention, schmetention!" shouted V.J. "I've got rehearsal today at Studio 25 and I want you to buzz off, Principal Popcreep!"
Everyone was both mad and surprised by V.J.'s new behavior.

Meanwhile on Zalgea, Emperor Zator and his goons were doing taxes. Dr. Zora was counting up on how many peasants paid off the debt when she saw that a group of painters didn't pay off the taxes due to them being broke. Emperor Zator decided that they should bring their paintings to life to pay off their debt.
On the outskirts of town, three Zallegrean artists were painting a Chinese dragon. They were Z'kazilx, Zelenn, and Zath-Brupt. Emperor Zator came up to them and asked if they could do the same thing again, but on Earth, "No problem," Zeleen said as she placed away her cleaning cloth. "We'll get started on your latest masterpiece right away."
The they teleported off to the humble green planet.

On Earth, Big G called an urgent staff meeting. Everyone was present and accounted for. "Listen here," he said. "I got a call from Principal Pocock that Vinny has been acting a lot like A.J. and has gotten detention for pranking Dorothy with a little Carter kiss prank in the men's room. Now he's skipping detention to work as a lead singer for Island of the Black Spot."
Nick Carter felt a little embarassed that Vinny had made up a lie about him.
This was awful. A.J. felt like his identity was being stolen by crazy fans. He knew he had to save Vincenzo and fast. Howie D decided to go with him on their little Vincenzo hunt. The other three couldn't come, because Nick was taking Raquel and Rosalee out to Burger King while everyone sorts out the whole V.J. situation and B-Rok and Kevin promised Walker that they would to a video shoot of them feeding seals on "Pleasant Beach."
On Howie D's cellphone, he contacted Ginger about Vincenzo's change. They didn't know where he was, but Ginger had a feeling where he might be.

Later that night, A.J., Howie D, Faith, Ginger, Nadine, Jessie, and Dorothy were all dressed in gothic apparel. They were outside of the famous nightclub/goth apparel store, Club Obsidian, where Hone worked at. Ginger figured that if she went there with her pirate crew, she could make V.J. a cabin boy.
After A.J. and Howie D got off their bikes, Faith looked at them and smiled. "You already got the rule of super transportation covered" she commented. "How else could you get to the scene of the crime?"
"Not the way the MNMs did in that superhero commercial," laughed Howie D. "That would take forever."
Before they could get in, Ginger blocked Howie D and A.J. She gave both of them a red and a green bowler hat as disguises so they wouldm't get caught by looney fans. "This hat looks like the one the Riddler had on," A.J. said. "I should know. I dressed as him once."
By the door, the usher told them that there not on the list. As they were about to leave, he quickly recognized Ginger and explained that Hone shoplifted the store again. "No wonder she got all that scary stuff."
The usher couldn't take Hone's shoplifting anymore, so he told Ginger and her friends to go in there and get her sister.
Inside, the place was crawling with goths and scary teenagers. "Now this is my kind of place," commented A.J.
"No time for comments," Howie D replied. "We gotta find V.J. before it's too late."
Onstage, they could see Island of the Black Spot tuning their instruments and V.J. fixing up the equipment. Before they could perform, Z'kazilx , Zelenn, and Zath-Brupt came onstage and painted a Chinese dragon, which came to life and starts causing trouble. "Looks like changing V.J. back will have to wait," Howie D said.
Backstreet's Back Alright!
Illusioner cast a Chinese lion illusion, Rubyhane speed-punched him, Griffin Girl breathed fire on him, Diamondnix shot snowballs at him and Merazul shot water at him. Unfortunately, nothing happened.
Ordnance and Centauremerald found some leftover spray paint bottles and Ordnance got an idea. He and Centauremerald tossed some spray paint, they tossed it at them and they kicked and shot the spray paint at the Chinese dragon. The Chinese Dragon got hit with the paint spray and crashed onto a wet floor, causing it to dissolve.
"Another masterpiece" Ordnance joked.
"This is your fault, Zath-Brupt," Z'kazilx said as he slapped his co-worker, "*My* fault?" Zath-Brupt asked angrily as he tossed an empty spray paint bottle at him. "Thanks to you using paint that comes off with water, we're going to be sent to the dungeon."
"Let's get out of here before these humans paint on us," Zelenn suggested as they teleported back to Zator's castle.
After a quick change in the broom closet, Howie D, A.J., Faith, Ginger, Nadine, Jessie, and Dorothy could see Hone and her band complaining about their gig being ruined. Just as they were about to reason with V.J., Big G came in through the door. The usher was deathly afraid of Big G, so he decided to let him in before he could unleash his rage.
"How did you know where we were?" asked A.J.
"We all know you can't keep a secret," Big G explained. "Heard you and Howie D rescuing my grandson from bad influences like Island of the Black Spot. And out of all the Backstreet Boys, you're the closest to Howie D. Not bad for a bunch of biracial Latinos."
"Yeah," Howie D said. "We'd even shared the same vocal coach."
Hone was annoyed because Big G was here. Since she despised old people so much, she decided to use her fish cannon on him. After one direct hit with a smelly cod, V.J. started to feel shocked. He took off his shades, straightened his hair and rushed up to his paternal grandfather, "Grandpa!" shouted Vincenzo. "Are you okay?"
Everyone was surprised that Vincenzo was back to his old caring self. "Vinny!" exclaimed Big G. "Your back to our sweet self."
Vincenzo shed tears and said, "I just wanted to get Ginger to like me. Lewis told me that she'll only like me if I was bad as A.J. McLean, "Oh, Vincenzo," Ginger said as she took his hand. "You don't need to be a bad boy. I already like you."
With one lean, she kissed him on the lips.
Howie D thought it was rather sweet of Ginger.
Island of the Black Spot tried to escape, but the usher caught them and grabbed them, "You owe the place $1,000 for all the stuff you stole," he said to Hone.
Hone was mad because her plans for shoplifting were foiled.

The next day, A.J. and Vincenzo were paying off their debt to society by repainting the mural that Island of the Black Spot did. Thanks to Zarina's hacking skills, she was able to show the filmed footage of IOBS vandalizing the studio. For Big G, them working a double shift at Club Obsidian was punishment enough.
By the door, the rest of our heroes came to check on them. It turned out that Vincenzo and A.J. were actually working on a mirror. Having the feeling that they wouldn't get it done soon, they decided to help him out.
An hour later, Big G came out to check on the vandalized wall. On the mural, it had a white rose, a black petunia, a blue hibiscus, a green lily, a red gardenia, five anime angels that looked like the Backstreet Boys, and Vincenzo's late paternal grandmother, Aurelia.
"I thought I could commemorate Nonna by painting a mural of her," Vincenzo explained.

Big G started getting tears of joy because they did a memorial of his late wife. He remembered meeting his beloved Aurelia Farina in the early '60s, where she was auditioning for a cookie commercial. At that time, he was one of the dancers on "The Jakob Di Stefano Show," the most popular dance show in Florida in the early '60s. After the shooting of her commercial, he wondered if she could dance on the show for them.
