Sorry for the long wait but a lot of stuff has happened since last. I will try to update a bit more in the future, without further ado Chapter 9…

They all looked at each other when Evie finished and started to put the violin back in its case, and when she finished they all left the piano room together.

" What class do you all have next?" Ben asked the siblings

" We have art, what about you?" Jay answered as he played around with his phone.

"Sweet me too, Please let me sit with you. I want to avoid the others…They kinda scare me" Ben said with a chuckle. The siblings just laughed at their new friends predicament as they knew how some of the other kids reacted when it was announced that Ben would go to their school.

"Don´t worry, just stick with us and we´ll keep the others away" Jay and Evie said at the same time causing the other three to burst out in even more laughter.

They walked towards the art classroom and as they walked in the corridor they could hear other students whispering. Ben listened in on some of the whispers and what he heard shocked him.

"How dare they associate themself with the president's son?"

" They must have threatened him with something, they are nobodies, why else would he be with them?"

"I bet he only talks with them because he pities the freaks siblings for having to put up with her"

Ben almost felt sick to his stomach after hearing what the others were saying, how dare THEY even say something like that about the siblings. The four kids had been nothing but kind to him and they did not even care that he was the president's son as everyone else did. And as if Mal or her siblings would ever stoop so low as to threaten him to become their friend, he could already see how Audrey would use this to make his parents pull him out of school so that he was isolated once again and so she could "have her chance to be his girlfriend" once again.

He would not put it past her as her grandmother had her believing since she was a child that she and Ben would get married and become the new president and first lady together as it almost was that her daughter Aurora married Ben's dad, but she found another man that she fell in love with and as such it did not happen and Ben's dad married his mother Belle instead.

Audreys grandmother never really left it alone after that as she was (not only old fashioned but..) dead set on her daughter marrying wealthy or noble and as she did not marry the president but only "some" office worker (his family owned their own company and he only worked there before taking over) she saw her chance in her granddaughter and had told her since she was two years old that it was her destiny to marry someone better and more fit for her rather than what her mother had done. And Audrey who adored her gran could only believe what she was told by her.

Ben was fuming by the time they made it to the classroom he had to tell his parents before Audrey could twist everything around as it fit her.

"Don't listen to them, all they know is shit but they love to spread it around" Carlos said as he saw Ben fuming

"It is not worth listening to, you know the truth so just ignore them or it may become even worse." he continued.

Ben just looked shocked at him, did they hear the whispers? How could they not say something to defend themself against the foul accusations? He turned towards Mal as most accusations were about her, and what he saw made him freeze.

Mal had tears in her eyes but did not allow any to fall as she held her head high and turned the other cheek to all the whispers going on, how could she be so strong? How could this small delicate girl have more class than those years her senior and just ignore whispers about her? He had seen so many women and men cause scenes for even less than what she had to endure on what appeared so far as being a daily basis, oh how he adored her strength.

"Just try to ignore it, please things always gets way worse for us if we give them any type of reaction, especially if you give them one." Evie whispered to Ben as they sat down in the back of the classroom. He could not understand what everyone had against the siblings Mal in particular, but he would listen to their wishes and do his best to make their friendship as smooth as possible until people started to grow a brain.

The bell rang and the teacher came into the room and started teaching. He talked about the curriculum for the year and some projects that would be mandatory to be able to pass the class. She then went on about a project that would begin the next time class took place as a chance to get to know eachother, all students would be paired up two and two by him and make a portrait of each other in the spectators eyes. For example if you thought the person you were paired up with was especially good at something like sports, music or just if they had a certain trait to incorporate that into the portrait and then the best ones would be selected and showcased for a time in the trophy case. He started to pair random students together and I hoped that I would be paired with one of the siblings as I feared who else would be my partner.

"...Ben and….Doug"

Oh no, I don't know them. I really hope they don't treat me differently or try anything. I just wanna get this project done and over with. Ben thought forlorny as he was not paired with his new friends.

The teacher continued to pair up people and surprisingly Jay and Mal was paired up even though they are sibling but whatever, Evie got paired with a girl named Jane, she seemed rather shy so Ben really hoped that she would not make any trouble for Evie, then Carlos got paired up with another girl called Lonnie.

Kinda short chapter but as I said I will try to update a bit more, hope you still enjoy this. / Scareedperson
