Duncan reads it in the paper while he feeds Lilly applesauce. He didn't expect any less from the outstanding citizens of Neptune. Aaron Echolls movie-star extraordinaire getting acquitted. What he didn't expect was his picture with the caption "Murderer?" in bold. Been there, done that, he thinks. There is a picture of Logan with a grim expression on his face, right next to one of Aaron with a chilling grin. He can't drag his eyes away and he sits there for a minute before Lilly starts crying.
Duncan opens the tabloid while mopping the sticky goo off his daughter's chin. Here is something new, something that makes him cringe. Veronica Mars's Secret Story, her illicit affair with one Aaron Echolls. And again, there is a picture of him, but this time the caption reads "Another man drawn into Veronica's web of lies." He wonders when Veronica and the reporter got on a first name basis. The article describes how Veronica manipulated him and Logan into performing acts of espionage and somehow ends with the fact that his child is in fact an alien. He looks over at Lilly. She blows a bubble and giggles. Yep, extra-terrestrial all right.
He opens up another paper, a more reputable one this time. Chlamydia? Duncan has a sharp intake of breath. Given that she and Logan didn't look to cozy last time he left, he realizes he's probably got some 'splainin to do. He calls the health clinic and arranges for an appointment, asap. Then he packs his bags and fills up the gas tank and gets ready for a trip to Neptune.
