Place: The Police Station- The Chief's office
James: Hello, Chief. I received your voice mail message. I recall you had important good news for Sarah. I am here for moral support.
The Chief (pulling out Myles Dyson's case file folder): It concerns the Myles Dyson case
Sarah: I am innocent. I didn't kill Myles.
The Chief: I believe you, Ms. Connor
Sarah (shocked and grateful): Really?
The Chief: A heartattack killed Myles. You are indeed innocent in this case. I apologize for all the unnecessary time that you spent in jail. All the charges against you have been dropped.
Sarah (relieved): Thank You
The Chief: You are welcome
James: Ms. Weever designated me to be Savannah's guardian if anything bad should happen to her. I am planning to raise Savannah full time with Sarah's help. I am resigning from my job today.
(The Police Chief accepts James' resignation. Savannah witnesses James and Sarah get married at the courthouse. James and Sarah then visit family court where they officially adopt Savannah. Savannah loves her new parents and house. After being barren for many years, Sarah gives birth to a baby girl named Mercy Grace Ellison).
