Place: James Ellison's church
A twenty five year old Mercy (entering the church): Dad? Savannah?
Savannah (joyfully, she embraces Mercy): Welcome back home, sister
Mercy: Well thanks
James (approaching Mercy): You have been gone for a long time
Mercy: I had to come back home especially to honor her
James (choked up): You are the reason why she is dead
Mercy: I didn't kill my mom. She sacrificed her life for me.
James: As God as my witness, I believe something else
Mercy (sitting down in a pew, she puts her face in her hands): Lord Jesus, please help me
Savannah (rubbing Mercy's back): You are alive and that's all what matters
Time Period: A Flashback to the year 2009- Post Born to Run
Place: The Courthouse
Situation: James and Sarah are getting married. Savannah is their only witness.
A Judge: Sarah, do you take James as your husband?
Sarah: I do
Judge: Do you vow to respect and support him?
Sarah: I do
Judge: James, do you take Sarah as your wife?
James: I do
Judge: Do you vow to respect and support her?
James: I do
Judge: James, you may now kiss your beautiful bride. I pronounce you to be husband and wife.
(James and Sarah never really liked or loved each other. They got married so Savannah (an orphan) may have a proper family. Eventually Sarah and James become so close that they want to give Savannah a little brother or sister. Due to old age and endometriosis, Sarah struggles with fertility issues.)
Time Period: A Flashback
Place: James' church- the sanctuary
Action: Savannah and Sarah are helping James to clean up after church service
James: I have seen the way you have looked after mothers and kids of the church
Sarah: So what?
James: You are desperate for a baby
Sarah: I can't
(Miraculously Sarah becomes pregnant. Due to a lack of sleep She falls down the stairs and goes into premature labor when she is six months pregnant. She delivers a baby girl named Mercy)
