15 year old Noah Puckerman and 14 year old Quinn Fabray find themselves partnered with each other for a English assignment. They're about to shock themselves big time when they find themselves in deep conversation.
"So how's Kitty doing with everything?" Puck asked referencing the fact that his 8 year old sister Sarah recently passed away 2 weeks prior because she was killed by their mom and her boyfriend. Sarah and Quinn's 7 year old sister Kitty also happened to be best friends.
"She's still sad and doesn't understand how anyone especially a parent could kill their own child." Quinn said
"I mean it just sucks. Every damn day I just wish that none of this would've ever happened." Puck said
"Well how are you coping with everything?" Quinn asked
"It just feels like something's off ya know? I know I should be happy that my mom and her boyfriend aren't here to hurt us everyday but at the same time, it's because they're fucked up in the head and chose to murder Sarah." Puck said
"What I don't understand is why they did it." Quinn said
"Because they didn't want kids to worry about. I probably would be dead too right now if I were home when they killed her. You know, sometimes I wonder if I'll ever be truly happy. I mean there's times when you're happy in the moment, but it goes away in a instant. I don't even remember the last time I was truly happy and content with my life." Puck said
"I know what I'm about to say is probably really cheesy, but just trust and believe that everything will be alright. Look, you may not see it right now and that's fine, but there's always a light at the end of the tunnel." Quinn said
"That's not cheesy at all. What's cheesy is me sounding whiny as fuck talking to you." Puck said
"That's what people call venting, not whining. You know it's fine that you had stuff you needed to get off your chest." Quinn said sincerely
"I mean it probably sounded weird for you to hear me vent like that." Puck said
"Well I mean you mainly vent about school and football." Quinn said
"I mean that's true. I also vent about pool clients. Anyways thanks for the advice and hearing me out. I really appreciate it." Puck said sincerely as he went to give Quinn a hug
"Anytime." Quinn said
