MerendinoEmiliano: I try with these fights.

Sonic watched as the chained, massive beast was pushed into his cell. His body was sore, and tired. This guy could hit hard. He saw that everyone else seemed to be as roughed up as he was. He turned back to the clear cell door, not missing Fiona's panicked face as she saw the massive beast.

Did it's eye just move? The sedative was losing its effectiveness. Sonic was on guard. This would be the test of prison structure. They've dealt with strong opponents, but this wolverine was another beast entirely.

Sonic could hear a light, raspy chuckle descending down the prison stairs. He wondered what could be so funny, with Amy in the hospital, everyone injured, and the monster siting right before them seeming to recover from intense sedatives in half the allotted time.

He recognized the raspy voice of the king anywhere.

Nagus smiled, seeming to skip if he could, walking with his staff in hand. His faithful lap dog, Geoffrey, in tow.

Sonic gave a forced smile, "Nagus."

Nagus noticed him, but didn't seem to be too upset to by Sonic addressing him by his name and not "Your highness."

Sally kept the formalities, "Your highness, what brings you down here?"

Nagus smiled, "Oh, I just had to see the demon that's been causing all the commotion. I am impressed, he's big, and probably very strong." Nagus placed a wrinkly hand on the fiber glass door.

The Wolverine jerked to life, slamming his jaws against the fiber glass, producing light cracks where the large teeth imbedded themselves.

Though he tried to hide it, Nagus jerked back, then dismissed it with a laugh, "Aggressive, Strong, attacks anything it sees. I See why your grandfather killed them all." He was talking to Sally.

"What? We never killed anyone like-." Sally blinked, before being outraged.

"Oh, you should learn your history. You'll have plenty of time to read up on it next. I thought I'd let you know in person, the council has agreed to disband the Freedom Fighters organization. The lands will be returned to the crown." Nagus gloated, in glee. Geoffrey looked disturbed, but didn't voice his opinion.

"What? Why, we've abided by your rules entirely?" Sally growled, angrily and scared.

Sonic felt his heart get upset, though he wasn't sure if it was from anger, fear, or curiosity.

"You thought we wouldn't notice that little stunt you did. How you moved the Freedom Fighters to the border without the approval of the council." Nagus scoffed, in an arrogant fashion, "It's become increasingly clear you don't respect the crown or republic. You are a rogue band of wanderers, simply seeking thrills."

Sally growled, but It was Sonic's turn to be outraged, "You have no idea what we've paid for this kingdom. We've kept you safe, and now, no one will. You'll regret this."

Nagus laughed, "Oh don't worry, Hedgehog, you'll have your own problems soon enough."

Sonic growled, "What's that supposed to mean?"

Nagus turned around and laugh, "You'll never guess."

Sonic growled, feeling blood rush up his neck into his jaw. Sally's hand snapped him back to reality.

"Hey… Let's go check on Amy." Sally was surprisingly calm, which calmed Sonic down.

"What happened to her?" A voice said from inside the cell to Sonic's left.

He turned and saw Fiona in the back of the cell, residing on her cot. Someone had forgotten to turn off the microphone.

"She was injured fighting that thing." Sally explained. Sonic wasn't sure it was a good idea to give that kind of information to her, but Sally knew what she was doing.

Fiona sounded… concerned, "I hope she gets better… I hope you all get better. I don't like you… but you did make this kingdom safe."

Sonic couldn't tell if she was being sarcastic, manipulative, or genuine. He didn't want to think too hard about it, so he took it at face value.

"Thanks." Sonic gave his most hopeful smile, before turning around. Fiona muttered something, but he didn't know what she said. Sally pressed the button to seal the room, and Sonic carried her to the hospital.

Amy's sight didn't look any better in the hospital bed than when he picked her up in the forest. If anything, she looked worse. Her normally peach muzzle had turn a pale shade of cream, her quils were deflated, and every breath sounded like she was push a car up a hill.

Sonic walked in, the sound of beeping once again stabbing his soul. She was injured so badly, maybe he could have done something to save her. She'd saved Bunnie, who, patted her head, and Antoine, who'd brought a basket of white roses, and a card. Cream looked… angry. Rotor brought some chocolate( Something Amy would probably like more than flowers) and Tails brought lunch for everyone else.

Chilidogs didn't have the same taste as they usually did. They weren't two days old of course, but they lacked even the most cheerful flavor to them. Sonic's mind turned to how much Amy would enjoy eating Chilidogs with them, how she'd make a daring move to grab any chili off Sonic's face, how he'd run from her the moment she tried.

Sonic sat down and slumped, sighing with the hopes that it would make him feel better. It didn't.

Cream's hand were shaking. Sonic moved to hug her, only to feel her slap his shoulder, "He wasn't bothering anyone!" She cried, "He didn't want you there, but you fought him. WHY!" She shrieked, sounding hurt.

Sonic opened his mouth to shout back, but realized she was somewhat right. The Wolverine was on that farm, farming, not killing.

Sally grabbed Cream's shoulder with force, causing the crying child to shrink. "We can outside and talk." They walked out, Cream looking terrified, as she was more dragged than walked.

Sonic frowned, and looked at Tails. Tails cocked his head, of course he wouldn't remember, because he wasn't there.

"I WANT ONE, I WANT ONE, I WANT-" Sonic shouted as his hands were sprawled across the bed.

SMACK! The Sound of his dad belt striking his butt rippled through the air. The Cries turned from anger to pain, as the Belt came around and smacked his butt again.

"WE DO NOT ACT LIKE THIS." His dad shouted angrily, "YOU DO NOT THROW A FIT JUST BECAUSE YOU DON'T GET YOUR WAY!"

Sonic was crying in anger, pain and sadness.

The Belt struck his hindquarter again.

Sonic cried, "W-why can you have a brother, but I can't."

"WE TOLD YOU WHY! YET YOU KEEP ASKING LIKE OUR ANSWER IS GOING TO CHANGE! GO TO YOUR ROOM!" Jules shouted.

Sonic ran up crying. He was angry and hurt. His dad didn't care about him.

The door cracked, and the grey mustache made Sonic somewhat calm, "Uncle Chuck?"

His uncle came in and sat down, "Hey Sonny-boy. How have you been." Sonic was too young to realize how cautious Chuck was being.

"I'm…ok." Sonic kept his sniffles in, or tried to.

Uncle scooted over on the bed to get closer to Sonic, pulling the boy into a one armed hug, "Come on, what's wrong?"

Sonic huffed in his teary eyed frown, "Nothing!" Sonic slumped, he could feel the tears threatening to flow.

Chuck pulled Sonic into a tighter hug, "Olgilvie, I can see the tears in your eyes." Chuck was being testy.

Sonic squeaked in anger, "My name is Sonic."

"What's wrong?" Chuck asked calmly, and commanding. A way Sonic didn't know how to refuse.

The tears finally flew out, "My dad hates me. I hate him! He hurt me and likes me feeling bad! I want a little brother."

Sonic expected Chuck to smack him. Instead, Chuck wrapped his arms around Sonic, "Hey… I wanted a little brother. But Once Jules got here, we fought a lot. I hated him until it got tough. When things got rough, family is always there for each other."

Sonic listed, but still cried in his Uncle's chest.

Chuck continued as he stroked the enraged quills on Sonic's back down to a calmer level, "Your dad loves you more than you know. But He's not just your friend, he has to be your dad as well. He's got to teach you how to act when you grow up. That sometimes means he has to hurt you to teach you what happens when you act like that."

Sonic looked up at his uncle, "For Realzies?"

Chuck smiled, "For Realzies, But your dad loves you, and he's told me how happy and proud you've made him."

Sonic smiled at that thought. In hindsight, he had been a bratt, and his dad had acted… a little harsh.

Sally came back with Cream. The Rabbit looked mildly ashamed, but bowed her head, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have acted that way."

Sonic came over and pet her head, "Hey, I get it, We're all under stress, and we're all a little roughed up."

Sally frowned, "I suppose I might as well tell you all this now. The Freedom Fighters have been disbanded according to the council."

Everyone perked up, "What?" Tails asked, shocked.

Elias was visibly outraged, "He can't do that!"

Sally stepped in, "He can, the council allowed it."

Sonic felt his anger rising over it. Nagus was scared of them, and Sonic knew it. Nagus hated giving Sally any power, even at the slightest level.

Elias quickly turned to Sally, "We have to have right of council, If we can invoke it and get our throne back-"

"That's what you are thinking about right now?" Sonic growled, silencing the room.

Elias blinked, before growling, "What would you be thinking about right now if your head wasn't empty?"

"Amy sitting right there in that bed," Sonic pointed at the wall that separated them from Amy's room, "She is struggling to survive! And you care about is a stupid chair!"

"It's more-" Elias started.

"I KNOW IT'S MORE THAN A CHAIR! I KNOW IT HAS A LOT OF POWER! BUT RIGHT CARE MORE ABOUT HER THAN POWER!" Sonic shouted, and Elias stood up. A fight seemed to be inevitable between them.

Sally moved it and pushed them both back, "Elias, We'll talk about what to do after we leave. Sonic is right, we need to worry about Amy right now. She's… hurt pretty bad."

Elias looked around the room, and it seemed like the small amount of compassion that he had within his heart fell out, and his face was mildly ashamed, "I'm sorry."

Sonic softened as well, "Me too…"

Doctor Quack came in, "Hello… Freedom fighters, you may want to… sit down for this."

Sonic watched as everyone Sat down, and their concern grew. Sonic asked blatantly, "Alright, Doc, what's going on?"

Doctor Quack took a deep breath and sighed, "I'll be honest… I've seen people hit with sledge hammers in better condition. Ms. Rose is strong, but even the strongest people have their limits…"

"Doc?" Sonic asked, wanting a straight answer, "What's going on with her."

"We've had to remove pieces of armor from her insides, along with relocate several bones. We are doing everything we can, and she has energy inside her that is helping, but you may want to consider the possibility-"

"What Possibility, she's going to be fine." Sonic stated flatly, ignoring his own interruption, "She'll be down for a little bit, but Amy will pull through." Sonic reassured. Was he reassuring himself into denial? No, she couldn't die.

Doctor Quack nodded silently, "I suppose you are probably right. She seems like a fighter. Still, you should probably come visit her. I believe it would be good for her spirits." He seemed skeptical, like he was playing a part.

Sonic walked inside the room. The doctor didn't try to stop him.

Sonic stood over Amy, "Hey… I don't know if you can hear me, but you really impressed me out there. You went in, and saved Bunnie, and we're really grateful. I can't wait for you to get out."

Sonic did something he would have never done she was younger. He leaned down and kissed her for head, rubbing some of her quills down. He then bolted out of the hospital, and ran for a hill to scream. He was hurting, and he couldn't figure out where.

Johan trudged through the cell. Ramming it didn't work, and he was sure smacking the door wouldn't do much either. Damn his honor, why did he have to stop?

Johan mentally scolded himself. Honor was to be upheld, even if it worked against him. Still, he growled. He was a prisoner, an absolute disgrace. That wasn't the way to think…

No, He needed to see this as an opportunity.

"Teach me their tongue, and I will destroy them in a week." Johan taught Odacer.

Odacer released the prisoner, "What?"

"Learn their language, and you have power over your enemies. There is more to warfare than the battles fought." Johan explained, walking past a looted building to grab a horn of mead?

Odacer seemed disgruntled, but nodded, "You are very wise Uncle."

Johan smiled at that thought. He was very wise then, now he felt rash, and angry. He needed to regulate himself, and listen to his old advice.

He pressed his hind legs against the wall, and began to push up and down slowly.

The Fox still stared at him nervously. She was smart to be afraid.

Johan would built his strength, learn their language, and free himself.

Johan stopped when he noticed movement at the stairs. The Squirrel appeared with a second squirrel and the Garden Defender.

The Cell opened, and Johan heard a strange, buzzing noise to his left, coming from the vent.

They seemed to want him to follow. Perhaps learning the surrounding areas might be good. Johan followed, and decided he would play the stupid animal, for now…
