"I-I have no idea who you are, please leave me alone." It took eleven words to break Elsa. Without another look, the girl who looked like Anna took an unsteady step towards the back of the bus. Letting her arm fall at her side, Elsa shivered as her tears started flowing freely, forming two streams on either side of her face. Conceal, don't feel, don't let it show. That's what Papa had always told Elsa to do, and that was how Elsa lived her life. Until Anna showed her that love could thaw Elsa's ice.

Love helped Elsa to control her power, yet how could she control it with love when everyone she loved was dead. Elsa's power responded to her emotions, and they were powerful with how long she bottled them up. Elsa stared at her feet, a light frost already forming. Oh no…

Elsa needed to get out of here. Thankfully, the bus's next stop wasn't far. Grabbing her backpack, Elsa ran off of the bus as soon as the doors opened, slowing down as soon as her feet hit the concrete. The weather could help hide her mood, parts of the sidewalk were already covered in ice before she had even gotten off.

Taking a small step, Elsa could do nothing as her tears coated her skin. The cold never bothered her, yet each tear felt painful. The bus quickly drove off. Turning her head slowly, Elsa stared at the bus for a few seconds before she continued walking.

Stupid Elsa, Anna was long dead. Was she finally going insane after all those decades of no contact with the world outside of her cave in the Enchanted Forest? What a cruel trick her mind had played on her. Elsa took in a shaky breath as she wiped her tears with the sleeves of her sweater, her eyes most likely puffy from the crying.

"And you complained about me almost giving you away earlier." Gale's presence returned, his voice speaking in the back of Elsa's mind. Glaring at the leaves that flew through the air in front of her, Elsa held her backpack even closer.

"Leave me alone." Elsa gritted through her teeth as she marched past the leaves. The last thing she needed was the wind spirit irritating her. The ground covered itself in a light frost with every step she took.

"You don't have to do this alone, Elsa. Bruni, Nokk, Jotunn and I are here for you. Don't shut us out again." Gale said sadly. Elsa closed her eyes, shutting out his voice. She needed to control her emotions before something bad happened.

"W-Where the north wind meets the sea." Elsa started to sing softly, choking on a few of the words. Mama used to sing this lullaby whenever they couldn't sleep. "There's a river…" Another sob racked Elsa's body. "...full of memory." Elsa gave the ground a look.

The frost was slowly receding. Thankfully there weren't any witnesses around. Elsa picked up the pace.

"Sleep, my darling, safe and sound." Elsa gripped the worn out straps of her backpack.

"Elsa-" Gale spoke again, but Elsa forced him out of her head. A few leaves lightly slapped her skin, but Elsa kept walking, not knowing where she was going. It didn't matter, as long as it wasn't here. She left the Enchanted Forest because of all the memories.

"For in this river all is found." Elsa sang to herself quietly

The remnants of the Northuldra reminded her of Ryder and Honeymaren. Arendelle's abandoned castle only reminded her of Mama, Papa, Anna, and her life before becoming the fifth spirit, back when she was happy.

Fire engulfed the castle that had been Elsa's childhood home. Even from her vantage point outside of the city proper, Elsa could easily hear the familiar sound of gunfire and screaming. The German flotilla already occupied the fjord as smaller boats full of soldiers began reinforcing their allies already fighting in the city. She fell to her knees. Elsa was too slow, if only she had been here sooner she could have frozen the fjord as soon as the German ships came into view. Was this her punishment for hiding in her cave for years?Suddenly, the crocus flag that flew over the top of the castle was slowly being lowered, another flag rising up the pole. The sight of the red, white and black flag replacing the symbol of her family caused something inside of Elsa to snap. These foreign invaders dare defile the palace that Elsa once called home? The very palace where she had so many fond memories of her beloved sister? Those soldiers she killed in the forest called her a monster, a witch, as if she was an unnatural part of this world.Perhaps they were right. Hardening her eyes, Elsa stood up slowly, as the temperature around her started to drop. Channeling her magic in her shaking hands, Elsa threw the ball in the air. It imploded on itself, and dark clouds immediately started to form, snow already starting to fall. Channeling her anger, Elsa snapped her fingers, twelve pillars of ice forming behind her. Manipulating the ice into the forms of soldiers, they immediately bowed before their queen."Your orders, your Majesty?" The nearest ice soldier asked, bowing his shako-covered head. Modeled after the late Lieutenant Matthias, Elsa stopped herself from giving her creation a hug.Elsa took a deep breath."Kill the invaders. Let not one of them escape." The snowfall started to increase, with even the fjord icing over. The ice soldier's saluted, and started marching towards Arendelle, blades made of ice in their hands. If they wanted a monster, Elsa would give them one.

Elsa's feet felt wet. Taking a step back, Elsa didn't recognize her surroundings. The beach she was standing on wasn't well taken care of, with trash littered all over the ugly sand. She could even see the Ship Graveyard off to the distance.

"In her waters, deep and true lie the answer and a path for you." Elsa wiped away her now dry tears. Hopefully she didn't give herself away. That would make traveling through America a hassle, especially if the PRT and Protectorate started coming after her. She didn't want to be locked up in some lab and experimented on.

"Dive down deep into her sound, but not too far or you'll be drowned." A voice behind Elsa sang softly.

Turning around quickly, ready to freeze any would-be attacker, Elsa paused, her now puffy eyes widening. The girl from the bus stood a few feet away from her, leaning from side to side awkwardly. The skin around her eyed were also inflamed.

"Anna-"

"Shut up." The Girl gritted through closed teeth. Her bespectacled eyes gave Elsa a ugly glare.

"Who the hell are you and what are you doing to my head?"

A/N

This story is doing much better than I expected it to do. It was number 1 on Worm Story Search if you searched by hype for a few days. Anyways, what are your favorite Frozen songs? They could be from the movies, shorts or even the Broadway recording.

This is my first time writing a Frozen story, so any advice would be appreciated.
