Hopefully there will be more Everleigh in this story. I hope that you enjoy this next chapter. Without further ado Chapter 14. Enjoy!

Chapter 14

Everleigh shakily got up to her feet groaning as she held her bleeding head. She looked up over the table and saw Steve and Tony scrambling up to their feet.

"Put on the suit." Steve said, looking at Tony.

"Yep."

Steve helped Tony up and they rushed out of the room.

Everleigh turned her attention to Fury helping him up to his feet.

"I'm alright Agent." Fury said as he got his feet under him.

"All hands engaged." The intercom said over the loudspeaker.

"Barton's here." Everleigh said looking at her boss.

"You're certain of that?"

"Last time I checked he had arrows that exploded, Director. It's him and everyone else… Loki allowed himself to be captured to lower our defenses."

Fury put his hand to his com. "Hill!"

"Number Three engine is down." Maria said over the com.

"We've been hit." A female tech said.

"Did we get a run in? Talk to me."

"We got a fire in Engine Three."

"The line looks mostly intact but it's impossible to get out there to make repairs while we're in the air."

"We lose one more engine we won't be. Somebody's gotta get outside and patch that engine."

"Stark, you copy that?" Fury questioned the genius.

"I'm on it."

"Coulson, initiate defensive lock down in the contingent center. Then get to the armory. Romanoff!"

"Okay!"

Everleigh looked at her boss. "I'm going to help Coulson."

Fury nodded his head.

Everlegih moved towards the exit to go and meet up with Coulson. "Coulson, I'm on my way." She said over her com as she exited the room to go down to the contingent center and to make sure that Loki was still in his cell.

"Affirmative Agent Vincin." Coulson said over his com.

Everlegih moved around the panicking agents trying to keep their aircraft in the air. She suddenly froze when she heard the roaring of the Hulk. She closed her eyes in agitation, of course Loki got his wish of releasing the Hulk up in the air where it could cause disastrous carnage. Everleigh made it to the armory door. "Coulson."

Coulson looked over at her as he pushed down on a switch and scanned his eye.

"We've got a perimeter breach. Hostels are in SHIELD gear. Call out to every junction. We've got the Hulk and Thor on Research Level Four. Levels two and three are gone. Engine One is now in shutdown."

The helicarrier tilted dangerously.

Everleigh quickly used her magic to wrap herself and Coulson in a bubble so they wouldn't get injured from the dangerously tilting aircraft as they slid.

"It's Barton, he took out our systems. He's headed for the detention lab. Does anybody copy?" Fury's voice rang over everyone's ear pieces.

"This is Agent Romanoff. I copy." Natasha said over coms.

"Stark, we're losing altitude."

"Yep, noticed."

Everleigh and Coulson made it to the cage room and found Thor hitting the cage with his hammer.

Loki laughed. "The humans think us immortal. Shall we test that?" Loki moved to open the chut beneath the cell, dropping Thor to, what for any other person would be certain death.

Coulson appeared behind Loki with a large prototype Phase Two weapon. "Move away please."

Loki stepped back away from the panel.

Coulson gestured to the gun. "Do you like this? We started working on the prototype after you

sent the Destroyer. Even I don't know what it does. Do you wanna find out?" Coulson prepared to fire the weapon when Loki suddenly vanished, reappearing behind him and thrusting the point of his spear through Coulson's chest. Coulson yelled and dropped to the floor.

Everleigh gasped in shock.

"NO!" Thor yelled as Loki returned to the panel, opening the chute and pressing the button which sent the cell, and Thor falling from the ship.

Everleigh waved her hand sending a blue blast towards Loki.

Loki turned, dodging her attack. He looked at her with blue eyes narrowed. "Oh, you're going to fight me."

Everleigh crouched down a little before sending another blast of magic towards him. "You're a coward!" She yelled as she began to move towards him to physically attack him.

Loki vanished before her causing her to whirl around in anger.

Everleigh rushed over to Coulson as Loki turned to leave. Her hands glowed as she tried to heal Coulson.

Coulson let out a cough as he looked at Loki. "You're going to lose."

"Am I?"

"It's in your nature."

"Your heroes are scattered, your floating fortress falls from the sky. Where is my disadvantage?"

"You lack conviction."

"I don't think I…"

Coulson fired the weapon which shot a blast of fire similar to the destroyer, sending Loki flying through a wall. "So that's what it does."

"Hold still Coulson." She said softly, her voice wavering a little bit.

Coulson's hand went to where her's was covering the wound on his chest.

"All hands to your stations immediately."

Everleigh looked up at Coulson with tear filled eyes.

Coulson, slumped a little more onto the floor with the gun on his lap.

Fury entered the room and kneeled down next to the two of them.

"I'm sorry boss. They got rabbited."

"Just stay awake. Eyes on me."

"Oh I'm clockin' out here."

"Not an option."

"It's okay, boss. This was never gonna work- if they didn't have something- to…" His breathing halted as Fury stood and pulled Everleigh up to her feet to let the medical team through.

Fury leaned against the rail.

Everleigh looked down at her blood covered hands. Coulson wanted to be used as someone to have the team come together and bring Loki down.

"Agent Coulson is down." Fury said over the com.

"A medical team is on its way to your location." A female worker said over the com.

"They're here. They called it."

This is the end of Chapter 14. I hope that you guys enjoyed this chapter. I know that Loki is going to have to answer for what he has done. And poor Everleigh having to see Phil die. That's going to make her hate Loki more, most likey. Please leave a review and let me know what you think. I'm going to try to figure out how to get the two of them together. I thought maybe something should happen during Thor the Dark World, but I haven't quite figured it out just yet. But reviews actually keep me going in writing.
