A lot was going on, Ino thought. First was walking home with a peaceful mind on a rather dark night. Peaceful night? Her companion was no other than Obito Uchiha. He was eager to send her home, not like she would've denied. She wondered if her friends and family found out a criminal was sending her home, what would they do or what measures they would be taking. Though he wasn't just sending her home, he was going to be more than a friend in the upcoming days.
"Yamanaka, I heard your clan had mandatory ninja training. What's your excuse." Obito asked.
It was a question that was bound to be questioned. The more he knows about her, the more he would be confused.
She shrugged. "I did rather not talk about it."
He tsked. "You sure keep a clear line of boundaries huh."
She smiled. Good thing he was respecting that line.
"Of course, just like I didn't ask you why you left your clan. It's all personal things one shouldn't be prying into."
"That's harsh, Ino. I'll let that slide for now." And Ino zipped her mouth as he spoke those words seriously. She better control herself or he end up killing her, before her stalker get the chance to do so.
They walked through the gate and finally in front of her house. First thing Ino checked the ground to see any envelopes and to her horror there was one.
Obito took the initiative and picked up the envelope. He had a cold look in his eyes.
"I'll open it."
She nodded, somehow thankful for him to do the job for her.
'My love, you thought a thug could help you? How far are you willing to play with me but i assure you, no thug could protect you from me. I'll have you, no matter what. Run away from me but I've my eyes on you all the time. Even now. You're my delicious meal.
Your secret admirer...'
Ino gulped as her eyes looked around. He was watching her. Cold sweats covered her skin.
"Ino, snap out of it!" Obito's palms were on her face as he stared deeply into her eyes.
She frowned and stared at the letter in his hand, then again his face. How could she calm down?
"He's messing with you. Don't let him get on your head and play you up. That's what he wants to see!" He shook her to make her focus, frowning at how she crumbled right in front of him.
"Why- why is he doing that?" She asked, tears building up. Her hand went up to the side of her head.
Obito did an unexplainable thing.
He cupped her cheeks and forced his lips on her.
She widened her eyes, what the? Why was he sexually harassing her?!
She brought her palms on his shoulder forcing him away and he complied.
She raised her hand to slap him across the cheek, he clutched her wrist in mid air.
"Why you? Why?" Ino hissed freeing her wrist.
"To wake you up."
She frowned. She wanted to yell at him— that would wake everyone up in the village and she was in no position to introduce them to a criminal she brought home or the letters from a potential killer.
"That's not part of our deal! How dare you kiss me without my permission!"
He smirked at her. The audacity! "I did like to see what your lover is capable of."
What?!
"Are you psycho?!"
Obito shrugged. He was provoking a creepy stalker. Does he have no fear for his life? No one knows what the stalker was capable of.
"Get inside before anyone catches you out here alone with a stranger."
Her eyebrows were pinched together. She'll have to let that slide for now.
Before closing the door, she manages to utter. "Keep yourself safe. If something happens to you, who'll help me out."
He smiled, gave her a flying kiss. She was pissed and slammed it. He was teasing her, damn Obito Uchiha!
However she leaned on the closed door, touching her lips. Remembering how his lips felt on hers. A good one too. Probably practised with a lot of women. That jerk.

"You rented an apartment here." Ino was amazed. He was rich enough to get a fine place unlike most of the ninja's around.
"Why? Thought I'm not capable of doing so? Well crimes do pay me a lot more than you ninja get payed."
Ino didn't want to point out that she was no ninja.
After touring around his apartment— safety purposes, she went to his side and pulled out the letters she has received since day one. Only one was missing though, the one she threw out the window.
Obito eyed them, took them one by one and read them. Ino watched him closely for his reaction. Without her knowledge she was already depending on him, a lot more than she expected. It was scary how she was comfortable with him, when she only met him last day. It felt like she has known him for long, but unlike her friends he had a different vibe- he admired her. Well that was ridiculous but he called her those endearing names, stared a little too long at her, his eyes, his smiles at her. It was foreign.
"Disturbing," he finally muttered.
His eyes rose up to her, he looked indifferent though.
"These sorts of letters are usually sent by the people you already know. Someone from your friends, or workplace. Or someone who just lives around the corner. It could be someone who you speak with on a daily basis. I think it's smart to keep it a secret and seek out someone else out of these people."
Ino listened. The thought of someone closer to her putting her through this mess broke her heart. Humans were deceiving being.
"Remember what I told you? Trust no one." He spoke, threw the letters back on the table and fixed a long gaze at her. "Not even me."
"You confuse me. You're helping me, if I can't trust you then who?" She asked.
Obito shrugged. "What do you know about me? Trust builts with situations-"
"You've been helping me, you don't make me feel bad ab– ah wait I remember something." She changed the topic. She can't tell him what she felt from him. Who knows how he would react to that. She pretended to find something that should be pointed out to him from the letters.
He yawned, Insecurities. Interesting.

Orange clouds danced in the darkness of the night. Mid night? No one was hanging around. Time hastily passed around Obito, yet it felt like half an hour. What would the villagers say about her, coming out of a stranger's apartment in the middle of the night, and that stranger was sending her home. It would sure give folks reason to gossip about her.
"I'm addicted," Obito started.
Ino hummed. He usually spoke things out of blue and would wait seconds before finishing them. And usually he used that way to talk about her. So with a delighted heart eagerly waited for him to make a sentence.
But he never finished.
"You were saying?" Ino had to pressure him for she truly wanted to know. What was he addicted to? One should finish what they started.
He halted. "To someone."
"To who?" She urged. It annoyed her how he was teasing her.
He turned his head to her. His sharingan glowing crimson in the dark.
"You."
Ino swallow thick lump. Her institution yelled at her to run. He reeked of danger. As if he heard her, he stepped closer to her.
Ino backed away carefully. "O-Obito... Why... Sharingan...?"
"How do you know, you're safe with me?" He asked, then suddenly he had gripped her wrist and with sheer force pulled her to himself. She was shocked to free herself. Why was Obito doing this to her? Why was he scaring her like this?
"Obito... Why are you doing this?" She stuttered. Shivering under his hold.
"Princess, walking with a man you barely know in the middle of the night. I could do anything to you and no one could save you... I warned you, trust no one."
Ino breathed heavily. Panic was taking over her. He did nothing to her when they nearly spent the entire day in his apartment, where nothing could stop him so why now?
"Obito..." She whispered, tears brimming up. She closed her eyes.
Then all at once he released his hold and she stumbled before falling on her knees.
"Ino, if you're gonna behave like this to your stalker, you're doomed." He advised and started walking away. As if he didn't just scare her like that.
She didn't move. Her fingers rode up to her chest and clutched her heart, clawing her shirt. He wasn't lying, for she had imagined that stalker doing this to her yet she was unable to defend herself. He was helping her, she told herself. Obito had no bad intentions. Her heart needs to calm down and think logically.
Tears followed by hiccups but she didn't move. And Obito never returned.
--
The next morning she sighed. Her dark puffy eyes. Now she has to deal with them. She applied makeup to hide it. That would do.
"Is... Everything okay?" Iruka asked Ino. Her make up didn't work it seems.
Ino smiled and waved assuring him nothing was wrong. She didn't fail to see him worried over her.
And when she bumped into Sakura, the pink haired girl shrieked. Instantly grabbing her shoulders she asked who made Ino cry. And again Ino waved and smiled assuring her no one and just an allergic reaction.
"You seem busy for the past two days." Sakura said, handing her coffee.
Ino nervously laughed. "I wanted to see a festival, that's all."
"Festival? Where?"
"Outside the village." Ino know she sounded lame. Outside where? Of course it was outside for that was the question, where.
"Hmm Sakura, I'm having a headache right now. Can you excuse me?"
"I'll take care of it." Sakura instantly brought her palm upon blonde head. The action itself held no malicious intentions but Ino was bitter to be reminded of what she lost.
"The letters, are they bothering you?"
Ino widened her eyes. Calming herself she answered carelessly. "O-of course not! Don't be ridiculous. I've bigger things to worry about."
Sakura sighed in relief. "I know it was nothing to be worried about. It's just that Kakashi sensei is over thinking and made me worried and seeing you like this freaked me out. But I'm glad to know it's nothing serious."
Kakashi sensei? Ino had to take extra care around the elder man. He wasn't one to be fooled and what if he found out Obito? A thug she was meeting up with secretly.
--
Now Ino wasn't one to sulk, howbeit she was mad at Obito for pulling last night's stunt with her. In other words she was sulking. She wouldn't make eye contact with the man and kept her answers short whenever he entitled himself to be answered.
"That's one bratty attitude." He commented.
And she didn't bother to acknowledge it by observing the leaves. It had a rectangular shape. The texture was rough, probably dried up. Since when did it fall from the tree? Maybe six hours? A day?
He dropped down and made himself comfortable by her side. "Received any letters?"
She shook her head, still interested in where the leaf parents were.
"Of course since I picked it up last night."
Ino kept a cold exterior even though she wanted to know more.
"What was in it?" She asked with a straight face.
Obito sighed. His palm pulled her chin up to face him. She gritted her teeth ready to shrug him off but he firmly restrained her.
"I'd rather not let you see it." He sounded worried.
"Please, do me a favour and show me." She sarcastically scoffed.
"As you please." He pulled the envelope and handed it to her.
She carelessly took out the content. She gasped at several photos. They were hers, sleeping.
She turned to Obito horrified. "What is the meaning of this?"
He patted her head. "It is what it is. But they're not from inside of your room. As you can see, someone took them from outside the window."
The stalker stepped up his game. God knows what else he took photos of.
She picked up the letter.
'Darling, I'm getting tired of you hanging around men. Obito? What did you two have done in his place? Did he satisfy you? Did you screamed his name as he fil-
Ino dropped the letter. It was disgusting. She hated it. She despised it. How could one do this to her?! She didn't have enough courage to read it. How could one insult her like this?!
Obito pulled her in his embrace, she looked up at him with horror. Did he read what was in it? What was he thinking? Did he felt disgusted by her?
"You- you read it?" She prayed for him to say no.
He sighed and to her displeasure nodded. She looked down in shame.
"Ino, relax. I'll protect you." His arms tightened around her. She heaved, tears of shame falling down. In search of comfort she wrapped her arms around his neck, nestling her face in his muscled shoulder.
Obito slowly pulled her between his legs all the while without making distance.
While she curled up on him sniffing, he sniffed her neck. A smirk of satisfaction stretched on his face.
