Sonic felt the snow crumple underneath his feet. He had brought his coat, and was now working with Tails to push south. With two hundred men. Sonic had led the Freedom Fighters before, but not to any major extent. It had been quick and hasty movements, necessary escapes. Sonic also wasn't much for strategy.
Tails would have been a much better fit for the command, but Sonic carried a legend with him, so he got the job. And now, Sonic was pretty sure the only thing keeping him warm on the march was the hole Tails was burning into him.
He felt bad too. Tails should have gotten the opportunity to lead the men. Tails was smarter than him, and knew much more about strategy. This position only gave Sonic more problems to deal with.
Not to mention the dirty looks he got from the men. They had chosen to send the penal army to perform the flank, while the main army held the line. Sonic had a feeling a few of these mobians were put into prison by himself. That was a good thought to have as night time rolled around.
They approached a forest, with some rocks scattered around. Sonic built up his tent against one of the rocks, and set up the lantern. For dinner they had… Thick crackers, or "Hardtacks" as Tails called them. Flour, Salt and water. Thankfully, it came with a few sausages which they roasted around their fire.
Sonic saw Tails' eyes wander deeper into the flame. His fist was clenched, and his ears drooped. The poor guy felt humiliated.
Sonic cleared his throat, "Hey… I guess… this like old times, huh?" Sonic gave a smile that didn't even convince himself.
Tails' eyes wandered to him, a scowl on his face, "It's too much like old times."
Sonic frowned, "I'm sorry buddy. I think you were a better choice for this kind of job anyway."
Tails jerked his head, his eyes were… filled with tears? "Why didn't you say something! Why didn't you say no!" The poor guy was breathing heavily, his fists shaking.
Sonic felt himself hesitant to speak, "I just… didn't know how to say… well… "no"."
Tails pulled his sausage from the fire and snapped it up, still holding his angry tears in. Something was wrong, and it wasn't just not getting a job.
Sonic cleared his throat again, "Something is wrong with you buddy. Come on, tell me what's up?"
"What's up? What's up? " Tails eyes jerked around before he closed them and shook his head, "You couldn't understand it. You never understand anything."
Sonic felt somewhat wounded after that. The purple emerald was showing him a lot of emotion from Tails, but it was all confused and angry. Sonic didn't know how to stop it.
Sonic finally asked, "Can you help me get these guys to safety. I need someone smart to help me understand what to do. I don't know anything about actually leading an assault. I don't want anyone to get hurt because I was chosen over you."
Tails grit his teeth, and walked inside their tent without a word.
Sonic finished his sausage and bread-puck and walked inside as well, "Can I at least get some snuggles like we us-"
"Get a blanket if you're cold." Tails snapped. That was his answer.
Sonic walked over to his sleeping bag and climbed inside. He felt colder than any winter he had ever experienced. It even followed him into his dreams.
Sonic's translucent form once again told him that he was in his dream once again. It didn't feel any less real.
He stood at a trench, dry and sandy. To Sonic's back, stood the sea, to his front lay a trench that was several feet wide, and probably a mile long. To Sonic's left was something of a jungle, and to his right, a mixture of sand and grass.
Several humanoid people sat in the trench, they all seemed to be pale, with black hair, although some were slightly tanned, and had eastern slanted eyes. Sonic floated through the trench, passing a squad of six men, who sat on boxes, with two rifles resting on the side.
"You think we'd have done better in the first war?" One of black haired men asked, seeming to tap his fingers in anticipation.
"Back when we were using swords and pikes, nah, I'm quite dandy with my rifle." Another soldier laughed, hefting up the large bolt action rifle.
"The Saxons did most of the heavy lifting back then anyway." Another soldier chipped in, "We were exhausted by the end of the first half."
"You mean like right now?" The first soldier snorted.
Sonic walked by them, then stopped as a man who wore a uniform with several flashy medals stepped out, "Alright, that's enough, once the mercenaries get here, we will be charging over the field. I expect you all to be ready."
The officer turned around, and seemed to walk back through the trench.
"SO…I word is the mercenaries are under Saxon." One of the soldiers started.
"I heard his name was Jonathan. Not really a Saxon name." Another Soldier stated.
"No, you see, he was raised by the ol… former emperor." Explained the first soldier.
"You don't mean-" A third Soldier asked.
"Yeah, anyways, the old emperor basically taught him Teskan, how to fight, everything. Thing is, I hear he's short, so he wouldn't look a Saxon if it weren't for the brown hair." The soldier proposed.
"You think he's planning a coup?" the Third Soldier asked.
"I don't know. I hear the old emperor is leading the northern front. Probably having more luck than we are." One of the Soldiers stated.
"Probably have a rifle for every man." Mumbled another.
Their conversation was broken by the sound of roaring engines. Sonic turned his head to see small, grey steeled metal bunkers with cannons on top. And out of the first one, stood Johan.
Sonic's eyes must have been tricking him, because Johan seemed to be missing a lot of his scars.
He jumped out of his armored bunker, and met the officer.
"I hear you are General Sheffield. I was told to come help you out." Johan muttered, stretching out a hand.
The officer, Sheffield, looked down, but didn't take it, "Jonathan I presume. You'll have to forgive me, but I don't shake hands with Saxons."
Johan grit his teeth, "Sure… So what's the plan?" Several trucks with cloth coverings came behind Johan.
"Your men will provide support… why do they have DarkGuard weapons." Sheffield asked in disgust.
Johan turned around. Sonic looked past him, and saw a man, with black hair and a domed helmet, carrying a rifle that was ridiculously long. It also had a massive barrel, which meant the bullet was probably massive as well.
Johan turned back, "Mercenaries don't exactly get guns for free. My men are all armed though, which more than I can say for yours."
Sheffield didn't seem to like that statement one bit, "Get your men into position, We are charging the enemy trench come the morn."
Johan blinked, "What?"
"Get your men prep-"
"My men are under my control. Why are you charging the trench anyway. You have to have better strategy than that." Johan interrupted, clearly irritated by the general's answer.
"You will follow my orders, and I say we will charge their trenches under artillery fire." Sheffield growled.
Johan snarled, but took a breath, "No. My men will follow my orders, and I will help this front, but they are under my command."
Sheffield shouted, "You will listen to-"
A shock rippled through the air as explosion rang through the air.
Sonic looked at General Sheffield. He had a hole in the center of his head. Johan stood there; a grey steel revolver drawn.
The man to Sheffield's right stood up, but Johan pointed the gun at him, "You're the leftenant right?"
"Y-Yeah… Bloody hell, do you know what's gonna happen to you?" The leftenant asked, panicked under the sight of the gun.
"Jeez can talk to me if he has a problem. Congrats on your promotion." Johan stated plainly, "Mr…"
"Montgomery." The now General stated.
Johan walked over and tapped his shoulder, "Well General Montgomery, you have the challenging tasking of being a slightly smarter General than your predecessor. I've got rifles for your men. Now come up with a plan that wont get those three-hundred thousand killed."
Johan walked back to the armored bunker, "My tanks will hit the enemy at dawn. Just follow behind me while you work your way into your new position."
Sonic saw a girl jump out of one the trucks, carrying a box to the trench.
He turned his head back as the engine got closer. Sonic saw it Drive up to the edge of the trench.
Sonic awoke, his face cold even under the blanket. He was freezing, but it was morning. He'd have to start sleeping in his coat.
He stood up with a shudder. Tails was out somewhere, but Sonic wasn't sure where. Still, he felt hungry and cold, so Sonic decided to fix his situation. He grabbed his coat and walked out.
Breakfast was more sausage and hardtack. This time served with warm water. After finishing breakfast, Sonic packed up everything, along with the rest of the men and set out.
It was strange, Sonic could have sworn that there were more guys with them. He still hadn't found Tails. Sonic's mind began to think to the worst. He was working with Criminals. Criminals who hated him. Did they hurt Tails just to hurt Sonic.
Sonic called out, "Where's Tails?" He shouted as his men were putting out the fires.
"The kid? He was heading West last I saw." One of Sonic's men muttered.
"Some of our guys followed him. I don't know, I ain't trusting a kid with my life." Another guy growled, throwing a sack on his back.
Sonic began to pant heavily. Tails must have been trying to prove himself. Sonic shouted, "Alright, everyone get ready and get moving!" Sonic was desperate, if anything happened to Tails…
The packed up camp in the same amount of time that Sonic expected them in a lax environment, and Sonic ran ahead, forcing them to jog to try and keep up. Of course, after a while, Sonic lost sight of his men, but kept running on the road.
He heard rifles firing in the distance. Sonic picked up the pace, He zipped forward, an found Tails and a number of soldiers taking cover behind trees. Across the field, legionnaires and swatbots were on the walls of a city, Bleuforts. The distance wasn't great for either side's accuracy.
Sonic ran immediately to Tails, who was sitting behind a rock, "What were you thinking!"
Tails jumped, "Sonic? What are you doing here?" He seemed confused, embarrassed.
"I came here to help you! You think I would just miss you not being there in the morning?" Sonic growled as a laser flew past their head, getting awfully close to Sonic's ear.
Sonic pushed himself up against the rock.
Tails growled, "I don't need your help." His ears drooped, as if to realize just how much of a lie that was.
Sonic grabbed Tails, who jerked around in terror, "LISTEN! You have people here depending on you. Their lives are in your hands! If you mess up, it's on you! Stop being so stubborn!" He shouted at his little buddy.
Tails eyes squinted in anger, as tears began to flow out of them. Angry, frustrated tears, "Fine!"
Sonic pulled away from Tails, and had to dive out of the way to avoid another laser blast. He'd have to make it up to the little guy later.
Sonic zipped around, dodging and weaving. He had about fifty yards of open space between himself and the gate, that was sealed. Fortunately for him, Sonic had yet to encounter a seal that could outlast the force of a well-placed spin dash. The only trouble was getting to it.
Lasers continued to fly from the walls, but Sonic kept up his dodges. He should have been pretty-
Sonic felt his body slam deep into the ground. His brain slowly caught up with the burning pain in his chest. Sonic looked down as he was a few feet in the snow. His chest was scorched, with a few cracks bleeding. The burn was pretty nasty, but he'd live.
Sonic jumped out of the hole panting. He zipped straight at the gate, feeling lasers singe his left side and right arm, but making it about a foot away before jumping and curling into a ball. He smashed through the gate's bar, throwing it open.
He uncurled and ran inside the city to hide. Sonic dove into an alley way, and hid behind a dumpster. No one seemed to be following him. A swat bot walked in a straight line past the alley way into the city. Sonic allowed himself to catch his breath. He picked up a handful of snow, and pressed it on his wounds. It simultaneously hurt, and felt soothing, which was weird, but he wasn't going to over think it.
Sonic waited a few seconds to breath. He had to get to the walls and clear a path for the guys to get closer. He lightly smacked both of his cheeks, and ran out. Sonic zipped back to the eastern gate of the city, and ran up the stairs. He jumped up and spin dashed into a Timber wolf.
Sonic used the momentum from bouncing to join up with a red Echidna, then a wolf, and another wolf. It actually wasn't that hard with his homing attack. Sonic was actually avoid most of the damage they were trying to do since his quills were getting a little singed, but they'd grow back.
Sonic uncurled once he stopped feeling burns on his back. The walls were clear. Sonic quickly shouted, "We're good! Let's go!"
The mobian army quickly moved out of their cover and started running up.
Sonic turned around, only to see the Legionnaires in the city rolling out a big… cannon…laser thing. It was big enough to hurt Johan… at least before.
Sonic realized at that moment where it was pointing. If Tails went through the gate right as it was charging…
Sonic couldn't let that happen. They were still rolling it… which meant Sonic had a bit of time. Time he was going to make use of. He ran down the stairs and caught his breath. Tails was getting closer, much father than he thought.
The sound of a crash told Sonic that the laser cannon was in position. He bolted out into the street and ran straight at the cannon.
The Swatbots escorting the Cannon quickly readied their weapons and fired at Sonic. He felt the burns pierce deeper into his chest, but he kept his course. The legionnaires were scrambling to get the big gun working. Sonic ran full speed, ignoring the pain in his chest as he curled into a ball, flying straight at lens of the laser. He felt the glass shatter as he soared through, smashing through the machine.
Sonic uncurled, and collapsed on the ground. He slowly picked himself back up, and turned around. He left a pretty big hole in the-
The emplacement suddenly exploded, smashing the swatbots, and knocking the legionnaires aside.
Sonic panted as rifle shots rang through the city. He ran back to the gate, and stumbled, as more of the army walked through. He decided to slump back against the wall, and maybe close his eyes…
Sonic saw a hooded figure under his eyes, and Sonic quickly shook himself awake. He'd have to wait until he was healed up before getting some sleep.

Fiona didn't even want to get out of bed for breakfast. It was cold, and she was tired. She also really did not want to see the prissy princess. Well… Fiona had to take that one back. Sally was hardly "prissy".
Still, Fiona would have rather stayed in the nice, dark room, all alone. The knock on the door had to disturb her. Fiona pushed herself out of her blanket, and sat up. A gust of wind blew through the roof of her room, through a hole made by a head being smashed in. Courtesy of the Wolverine most likely.
The wind rippled across her bare chest, forcing Fiona to quickly cover up. She reached over to the nightstand on her left, and pulled out her vest and shorts. She could have actually done with some pants. Hindsight was annoying like that.
Fiona answered the door, but found no one was there. What she did see was the pots out over fires. She guessed it was time to get up, and get something to eat.
Fiona carefully walked over to the pot, and scooped up a bowl of mush. A fine mess of ground beef and carrots in a brown gravy. Still, it was better than starving, and certainly better than chocolate stew. She sat down at a table under the cover of what appeared to be a forge. It obviously hadn't been active since the fall of the city, but it still had a cover to keep Fiona out of the light.
The skies were cloudy out, and everyone just sort of seemed to be moving, and doing their own thing. It was all so… boring. Fiona wasn't asking for a lot of excitement; she had a few new scars on her side and shoulder to persuade the opposite. It just felt like a waste of time. The watchmen were doing something, keeping an eye out. The logistics people were going logistics stuff, like counting ammo and food. But that was all
Fiona was among the grunts who probably could have helped out with leadership and discipline. She could have been an amazing scout, or even useful in the logistics department. Sally, however, wanted her away from anything important. It was becoming increasingly clear that Sally was the problem.
Fiona couldn't do much of anything with her overhead. Fiona needed either a new commander… or maybe to run off with Scourge while Sonic and the Wolverine were away. It was becoming more and more tempting.
Fiona set her emptied bowl in the box next to the fire to be cleaned.
She was about to go back to her room, when she heard the call out, "Enemy spotted! Get ready!"
Sally ran past Fiona as the army mobilized with their guns.
Fiona scrambled back to her house-room. She could already hear the sound of guns shots ringing out. The excitement was there, and she wasn't ready. As soon as Fiona burst through the door and grabbed her rifle.
Then again… Fiona found the idea to be almost stupid. They were already out there, and Sally was certain she wasn't going to be of any help. Why rush. Fiona walked over to her rifle and picked it up. She put it on the table, and pulled out the bolt. In hindsight, she should have taken care of it earlier, but Sally didn't want her help anyway, so she had plenty of time.
Fiona ran a cloth over the bolt, and placed it back. Of course, as she heard the click, Fiona heard some shouts and screams. That was Fiona's cue to step in and save the day. She hurried outside with three clips ready.
Fiona ran up to the wall, and saw three of the soldiers being dragged away. Looking over the wall, Fiona saw Swatbots, which were standard fair at this point, but also buzz bombers, and a strange badnik Fiona had never seen before.
The badnik appeared to be two large brown legs. It appeared to be on rollers, judging from its movement speed. The strange badnik had a grey inverted cone for a head, and a lens which was probably to see out of. IT didn't seem to do much, however. More damage was being done by the buzz bombers, which were firing blasts of energy down at the Mobian Army.
Fiona readied her rifle, and shot one. It plummeted down, before exploding. She readied herself and fired, again, and again. She hit another, and missed the third, but it went down when the Mobians started returning fire.
Fiona ducked behind a battlement, right as a chunk of it exploded from a buzz bomber. She almost dared to step out, only for two laser blasts to hit the battlements again. Fiona found it hard to even focus, with two prongs assaulting.
Fiona slumped below the wall as buzz bombers flew overhead. That was it. Fiona readied her rifle and fired at the buzz bombers. She hit one… two… three. She could take cover behind the battlements, and knock out the flyers, then focus on the ground targets.
Fiona readied her rifle, and fired, pulled the bolt, and fired. Fiona pulled the bolt back again, right as the last buzz bomber was coming around. Fiona slammed the bolt back and pulled the trigger. Click. Crap Fiona mentally scolded herself for not fully loading it.
Fiona pulled out a clip, and pulled the bolt back. Fiona tried to press it in as the bomber came in for a run. Unfortunately, in her panic, she fumbled the clip onto the ground.
Blue blades Soared through the air, as Princess Sally landed on her feet, cutting of a wing from the flying menace. Sally was not amused either, "Where were you." She growled and quickly took cover as lasers fired overhead.
Fiona picked up her clip, and pressed the bullets into her rifle. "I'm here now." Fiona truly was a master of evasion.
Sally growled, "You don't say."
The strange badnik stopped moving, and Fiona loaded another clip into her rifle, before slamming the bolt in.
The strange badnik began to rise, as its legs seemed to expand from a crouching state, towering to probably three feet tall. Fiona squinted as the lens in the badnik's eye began to glow. She realized all too late as a beam slammed into the wall of the city, gliding across the side rapidly.
Fiona took cover along with most of the army as the beam rose to the battlements. Then it went quiet. A whirling sound came off the machine as it froze. Fiona dared to look over, and the lens and head were both searing orange. It clearly wasn't built to endure the level of heat for long periods.
Fiona pulled her rifle over and shot at the legs. One bullet missed entirely. Her second one made contact, but deflected off the steel legs. They were sturdy alright.
Fiona fired again, with another deflection. The Swatbots before to fire again. Fiona had to focus on the matter at hand. She fired back at the Swatbots.
The Special badnik quickly cooled down, and retreated. It got away, which bugged Fiona ,but there were more dangerous threats in the moment.
Fiona quickly fired at more badniks. Another, and another. They were certainly tougher than usual. Fiona readied her rifle, before a click sound came from it. She pulled out her last clip. She aimed carefully at the hoard, and…
The badniks stopped. They suddenly turned around, and retreated to their haven.
Fiona had five shots in her rifle. She had twenty five more in her house. The situation had a sobering effect on her. She was fighting an uphill battle, with limit resources.
Her "commander" walked over to her, "You sure took your time." Sally spat, with utmost anger.
Fiona looked past her and saw the bandages being applied to the soldier's wounded chests, arms and faces.
"I came as fast as I could." Fiona growled, with the blatant lie outward.
"I don't trust, I don't like you, and I don't think you are fit to be here." Sally growled, balling a fist.
"I did my best ok. You never liked me to begin with, so don't act like that's new miss, "Oh, my boyfriend isn't bending over backwards for me, woe is me". Fiona snapped back. If she was angry, she could keep any feeling of responsibility for the casualties out her head.
A fist collided with Fiona's stomach, knocking the wind out of her. Fiona doubled over.
"Let's be clear, that "boyfriend" is the only reason you're allowed in here. If I had my way, I'd lock you up in a dark hole and forget about you." Sally snarled.
That makes two of us Fiona mentally thought to herself, just trying to keep breakfast down.
The chipmunk walked away, going to check on the wounded. Who did she think she was? Fiona would absolutely get her back for that.

The army resided in the city, the prisoners bound and sent back to the capital city which housed the foolish king. As night fell, Johan found his meals within the corpses of his enemies. He had to keep his thirst for blood fresh, lest he become civilized like the rest of the dogs who served in the army.
Johan tore the flesh of the cold bodies, removing the fur and hide to reveal the small innards which He ate. The small meals almost weren't worth the effort.
The huscarl soldiers who passed him reeked of nervousness. That was good. Johan didn't want them to get accustomed to his presence, and his nature. Their fear kept them from deserting, or lashing out.
Still, Johan wouldn't mind if they killed their current commander. The small-fake wolf was barking orders, yet to Johan's eyes, failed to lift his arm for more than a second, and only to point. There seemed to be no virtues within the large-fox.
Johan tore another piece of meat, and swallowed it down. The army housed itself within the city, and fake wolf getting the largest house. Johan didn't mind, but apparently, the soldiers were upset over it. They complained about it, though Johan didn't understand why. He needed a roof, not even that to survive.
As Johan passed the large building which housed the fake-wolf, he overheard the white fox plead again, "Please, just send me back."
"Yes-yes, I will send you back to the capital. Very soon of course, yes-yes." The fake wolf seemed to be entirely dismissive. Johan found his anger rising. The fox had failed to provide him any aide against their enemy earlier that day.
"I'm serious, I don't belong here. I'm not a killer, I just want to serve my time." The fox growled, slamming his fist on a wooden table.
Antoine seemed to finally notice the fox's angry state, "You will serve here to help us restore the kingdom to it's glory. You will not be leaving us."
The Fox growled, and Antoine gestured for two of soldiers to drag out the angry fox, which began to shout and thrash against the guards' arms.
The door swung open, and the fox landed in the snow. The doors shut, and Johan crawled forward and pushed the fox as soon as he got up. Johan's snout knocked the fox over and he snarled, "What were you doing?" Johan growled.
The Fox yelped, "What do you mean?"
"You were asking to leave, after you couldn't even aid us in battle?" Johan growled, and pushed the fox onto the ground once he rose.
"You got through it fine. You'll get through it without me. I don't belong here. I'm not a killer!" The Fox shouted back, trying to rise up.
Johan let out a beastly snarl, "You think you are above warfare? You believe you can live your life without battle, or conflict? You are a coward!" Johan's anger seemed to flood him. Cowards who ran from battle weren't even fit to live, much less enjoy their lives.
The Fox Shouted, "No! I'm not a killer! You wouldn't understand."
Johan stopped his advances, and cocked his head. His spite and pride rising, "What would I not understand."
The Fox looked up, and when he saw he could finally sit up, he rose, "I didn't kill anyone… not on purpose." The fox sighed. Johan's anger rose again as this fool attempted to evoke pity from him.
The fox raised his hands, "I didn't want to kill him…. I just wanted him to leave." The fox lost his depressed tone.
Johan sat up, "Elaborate." They had moved far enough to where it was a personal conversation. Johan hated vagueness.
"I… I'm a mason, like my dad. I have a sister… and she was beautiful." The fox started, "She had so many admirers. She got the eye of Gregory Ramston." That name meant nothing to Johan. Still, he appeared to be important.
The fox continued, "My sister wanted to marry the Cobbler's son, but Wilhelm want her to be his wife. My dad chose my sister's happiness over her prosperity." The Fox sucked his lip in.
Johan growled, demanding the story continue without wasting anymore of his time. Johan simply wanted to understand this child's pompous nature.
"The nobleman didn't like it, so… he came to our house drunk with his friends." The Fox started, and gulped, "He pinned my sister to the table… and I snapped. I grabbed my dad's gun… and I shot him." The Fox slumped down.
Johan sat up, "Continue." Johan demanded.
The Fox shook his head, "There's nothing else to tell. His friends testified it wasn't a rape attempt, but a friendly visit. All I did was screw over my own life. I should have just let him live his. I didn't solve anything. I'm a failure alright, so let me just disappear."
Johan thought for a moment. He did so much more than he realized. Johan felt conflicted. The coward that possessed the child held a deep root. It would take a lot of effort to dislodge, but the reward…
Johan growled, "You are a failure. You should have killed his friends as well."
The Fox jeered at that statement in shock, "What is wrong with you?"
"What is wrong with you?" Johan growled, "You seem to regret killing your enemy."
"He wasn't my enemy, he was our lord. He had the right to-" The Fox started.
Johan growled, "Do as he pleases? Of course, he did, so long as he could deal with the consequences that came from his actions. A man who does not expect to deal with the results of his actions is no more a man than a new born." Johan growled.
"You don't understand, he was a noble." The Fox growled in frustration.
Johan grew calm, "Did he fight valiantly against your enemies?"
The Fox slumped down, "Well… I don't know. I don't think so."
"Then he was not noble." Johan growled, "He was a boy who had too many privileges, and was not beaten enough. He failed to learn that are basic dignities which all freemen are afforded, and to violate those rules results in consequences. "
"HE WAS A NOBLE!" The Fox re-iterated.
Johan snarled, "And that gives him the right to do as he please? No, those dignities are to be respected. You demonstrated yourself a man capable of defending his rights and honors. I would not have you in this army. I would have you a commander, with my guards and honors, because you were capable of making a decision where others froze."
Johan rose, and the fox stood still. Even in that moment, there was a warrior, waiting to be released. Johan clarified, "You are not at fault for killing a fool. You are at fault for pitying his death."
Johan turned around.
"You… You don't…. you really think so?" The Fox sounded so troubled, conflicted.
"You are capable of so much more than a life of self-pity and the illusion of helplessness. Do not lie to yourself, and say you are worthless. No, you are greater than most of these men. You did not act without purpose or hedonism. You acted with valor. I want to know your name." Johan growled firmly.
"I don't like it. Lewis." The Fox sighed.
"Then take a name I give you. Gewis." Johan snorted out his nose, "Your place on this field will save far more lives than a single boy who would have never amounted to anything. I won't stop you from fleeing, if cowardice is your nature. But if you are not a coward, then stop those who are incapable from fighting in your place."
Johan left the Gewis to his mind. If he was there in the morning, Johan won.

So... It finally started happening. I got my first black screen today. This poor baby is trying to stay together, but it seems six years is too long for a computer.
Leave me a review and tell me what you though of the chapter. I'd love to hear what you think, or I can do a little better in some areas.
