Chapter 20

Jane walked away from the others with Everleigh right with her as she watched them on the stairwell dropping objects down and watching them disappear and reappear. Jane looked down at her gadget and saw the anomaly nearby and started to walk off.

Everleigh slowly went ahead looking around her brows furrowed together in concern.

The two of them walked Jane following her gadget which took them to another part of the factory. The readings got stronger.

Suddenly a gust of wind pushed them forward and they found themselves teleported in another realm.

"What the fu-" Everleigh said as she looked around her eyes wide. She slowly began to move as Jane stood back.

"Darcy!"

Everleigh slowly looked around and found a column. Her brows furrowed together as she reached her hand out. She let out a gasp of pain as she felt her body get thrown back as something red entered her body. She fell to the ground with a harsh thump.

Jane turned her head in shock seeing Everleigh on the ground. She rushed over to Everleigh with wide eyes. "Oh god, Everleigh." Jane backed away a little as Everleigh's body glowed in a purplish tone which she had never seen before.

Thor slowly walked up the bridge towards Heimdall who was looking over the universe.

Heimdall's eyes didn't move where he was looking. "You're late."

"Merriment can sometimes be a heavier burden than battle." Thor explained to Heimdall knowing that he would understand.

"Then you're doing one of them incorrectly."

Thor let out a soft chuckle. "Perhaps. How fare the stars?"

"Still shining. From here I can see Nine Realms and ten trillion souls." Heimdall looked over at Thor for just a moment. "You recall what I told you of the Convergence?"

"Yes, the alignment of the worlds. It approaches, doesn't it?"

"The universe hasn't seen this marvel since before my watch began. Few can sense, even fewer can see it. A world that's infected can be dangerous. It is truly beautiful."

They looked out into the stars.

"I see nothing."

"Or perhaps that is not the beauty you seek."

Thor let out a laugh. "How is she?"

"She's quite clever, your mortal. She doesn't know it yet, but she studies the Convergence as well. Even…" Heimdall stopped as he sensed something.

"What?"

"I can't see her. She disappeared with that Agent."

"Lady Everleigh?"

Everleigh slowly woke up, her eyes fluttering. She groaned softly as she sat up. Her whole body ached and she could tell that something was really wrong. She looked around seeing that they were back in the factory. She shakily got up to her feet. She looked at Jane.

Jane put her arm around her and they rushed out of the factory only to find that Darcy had called the police.

Everleigh groaned seeing the police there.

"Jane! Everleigh! Where the hell were you?" Darcy said quickly going up to them.

"Tell me you didn't call the police!" Jane said, looking at her friend.

"What was I supposed to do?"

"Not call the police!" Everleigh said looking at Darcy like she had gone insane.

"I was freaking out."

"You call the cops, they tell the feds, the next thing you know we have SHIELD crawling all over area fifty-one-ing the place." Jane snapped.

Everleigh cleared her throat.

"Jane!"

"We had a stable gratification anomaly, we had unheeded access. Our only competition was ten years old!"

"Jane, you were gone for five hours!"

Everleigh blinked a few times. Now that was weird.

"What?"

Suddenly the weather turned and it started to rain. They heard a sound of thunder.

Jane looked around and put her hand out.

"That's weird."

They see it's raining but not on Jane, Darcy, and Everleigh, there is an invisible barrier protecting them.

Suddenly Jane saw Thor standing feet away from them. Jane handed her device to Darcy and walked towards Thor, as she walked away the invisible barrier followed her and the rain started to fall on Darcy and Everleigh.

"Typical."

Everleigh slowly followed Jane to talk to Thor as well.

"Jane." Thor said softly.

Jane reached Thor and suddenly slapped him hard in the face. "Sorry. I just needed to make sure you were real, it's been a very strange day."

"Well, I am. Jane…"

She suddenly slapped him again. "Where were you?!"

Everleigh let out a breath and shook her head lightly, not feeling the best.

"Where were you? Heimdall could not see you or Lady Everleigh."

"I was right here where you left me. I was waiting and then I was crying and then I went out looking for you. You said you were coming back."

"I know, I know, but the Bifrost was destroyed. The Nine Realms erupted into chaos, wars were raging, marauding hordes were pillaging. I had to put an end to the slaughter."

"As excuses go, that's not terrible. But I saw you on TV, you were...you were in New York! With Agent Vincin!"

Everleigh bit her lip softly knowing that was very true since she fought alongside him.

"Jane, I fought to protect you from the dangers of my world, but I was wrong, I was a fool.

Thor placed his hand on Jane's face. "I believe that fate brought us together. Jane, I don't know where you were or what happened, but I do know this."

"What?"

"I know…"

"You do?"

"Do what?"

They leaned in close and were about to kiss when Darcy interrupted them. "Hey! Is that you?"

Thor looked up and the rain stopped.

"Uh...we're kind of in the middle of something." Jane said softly.

"Um...I'm pretty sure we are getting arrested."

Everleigh let out a groan. "I'll deal with it." Everleigh said heading over towards the police.

Darcy looked between Jane and Thor. "Look at you, still all muscly and everything. How's space?"

"Space is fine."

Everleigh walked over to the police, her brow twitched at the thought of dealing with them. "Excuse me?"

"Are you Jane Foster?"

"No, I'm Agent Everleigh Vincin."

"Do you know this man?"

"He's Jane's intern. Jane's intern's intern." Everleigh explained to them.

"This is private property and you're trespassing, the lot of you. You'll have to come with me." The police officer went to grab Everleigh's arm but suddenly a force from inside of Everleigh pushed the officer and everything else away causing her to collapse to the ground.

Thor moved past Jane and quickly rushed to Everleigh. "Lady Everleigh! Everleigh?" He helped her up to her feet. "You alright?"

Everleigh groaned resting against Thor's strong bulky body as her eyes fluttered open revealing that they were no longer the color Thor had grown used to which was a pretty blue color, they were now violet in color. "What just happened?" Her hand shakily went to her head feeling a pounding inside of it.

Another police officer approached Everleigh apprehensively. "Place your hands on your head, step back!"

"The woman is unwell." Thor snapped looking at the other police officer.

"She's dangerous."

"So am I."

"Requesting armed response officers to the scene."

Thor grabbed Everleigh and pulled her close to him. "Hold on to me."

"Thor what are you doing?"

Suddenly the Bifrost opened and Thor took Everleigh to Asgard.

Darcy and Jane looked up at the sky as they disappeared. "Holy shit!"

Jane watched on in shock.

That is the end of Chapter 20. I hope you all enjoyed it. I promise when the next chapter comes out that it will be quite a bit different than what the movie has. I want to make sure that Loki and Everleigh get time together. Hopefully you will enjoy that chapter once I get it out. Please leave a review and let me know what you think. I'm going to try my best to continue to update on Mondays so it works out in my favor as long as I have chapters written up. I still have a lot of ideas to write out and hopefully I'll be able to do so, if not then I'll figure out other ways to write out my ideas. Until next time.
