Chapter 6 Brothers Reunite: The Attack of the Devils

At the base camp, Erza, Mira, Juvia, Lisanna, and Happy were all eating.

"Natsu hasn't come back yet," Happy said.

"Neither has Wendy or Mest," Lisanna added. "You don't think they went home with Gildarts and the others do you,"

"I will go look for them," Juvia stood up.

"Wait, I'll go with you, I'm worried about Natsu," Erza stood.

"Me too," Happy said.

"Oh okay," Juvia bit her lip "I wanted to go alone and cheer on Gray-sama,"

...

"Zeref Dragneel,"

Natsu uttered, he now faced his brother, someone he hasn't seen years. When their eyes met, Natsu's anger began to flare up.

"I knew it, I knew you were alive," Natsu said. "All those stories that said you died, I knew somehow they were all bullshit,"

Zeref smiled "My you don't seem happy to see me, dear little brother,"

Natsu's Sharingan activated in his anger "You deserve to die after what you did to our parents,"

Zeref had a small shocked looked, but regained his composure "I see that's how you chose to remember it, well guess that's on me,"

"Now I have the chance to finally kill you, here and now," Natsu engulfed his fist in flames.

"Oh, dragon-slaying magic," Zeref said, activating his own Sharingan.

"I've prepared for this day," Natsu's power increased. "TO SEE YOU DIE! IT ENDS HERE!"

Natsu charged at Zeref in anger, Natsu threw his fist forward.

FIRE DRAGON IRON FIST

In a loud explosion, Natsu unleashed one of his strongest attacks and once the dust cleared, he was left dumbstruck. Zeref was standing there uninjured holding Natsu's wrist.

"Hmm, Igneel taught you this, didn't he? No matter, you're still too weak," Zeref said disappointed. "You'll never defeat me at this level of power,"

Natsu was left speechless, he stood there in shock. He then once again raised his fist "Bastard,"

Zeref signed and cracked Natsu's wrist making him scream in pain. "Sorry Natsu, but I have no interest in you right now,"

Natsu glared "Well get interested!"

Zeref then kicked Natsu into a tree "You always were very unruly, refusing to listen to others. That rowdiness of yours will get you killed," Zeref picked Natsu up by the neck "There's a difference between courage and stupidy. Sadly you're the latter, it's what makes you weak,"

Zeref then took a breath and closed, Natsu then heard Zeref mutter but he couldn't hear what it was. Zeref then felt a pain in his chest "Damn it now," he uttered, Natsu, who was trying his hardest to stay awake saw black energy being released from his brother.

"AAAHHH!" Zeref screamed as the black magic was released from his body and Natsu felt himself be consumed by it.

Once the black energy disappeared the surrounding plant life and animals laid dead. Zeref opened his eyes and saw the dread he unleashed "No, not again," he said softly. Zeref then looked towards Natsu and saw him slumped against a tree, luckily still alive but his white scarf now stained pure black. "Sorry Natsu, but we can continue this another time,"

Zeref walked away leaving the barely conscious Natsu alone "I'm sorry Natsu, but you're still not ready,"

Natsu could barely feel "Why I trained for so long, and yet I still don't hold a candle to him, What have I been doing this whole time," Natsu tried to reach out at Zeref as he walked deeper into the forest. "What am I supposed to do?"

"Join Orochimaru-sama and become more powerful than you can ever imagine,"

The words echoed in Natsu's mind once again. On a distant tree members of Neo Sound Four, stood and watched.

"So that's the Curse of Ankhseram, truly terrifying," the two-headed man smirked.

"Hmm, if we jumped in earlier we would be dead," the redhead said.

"So should we get him now," the eight-armed men asked.

The two-headed man smirked "Yes, it seems he finally came to a decision,"

Natsu had a look of anger, hatred, and determination on his face as he clenched his fist,

Elsewhere, an injured Levy was running through the forest looking for help. Gajeel told her he can handle the two Grimoire mages on his own, so after giving him some iron, she ran off.

"Gajeel, please hang in there," Levy wiped tears.

As she ran, Levy tripped over a root and she fell down a small cliff. Levy rolled down and luckily she landed at the feet of Erza, Happy, and Juvia who left the camp to search for Natsu, Wendy, and Mest.

"Levy, what happened, Erza helped the girl up.

"Please, Help Gajeel," Levy cried.

"What happened," Happy asked.

"Intruders from Grimoire," Levy answered, shocking the three.

"Let's go, Gajeel may need help," Erza ordered, and Happy and Juvia nodded.

The group then went off Levy leading where she left Gajeel to fight the dog and chicken men. Once they arrived they saw Gajeel had already defeated the two mages, but he was greatly injured as well.

"Gajeel," Levy picked up the man.

"What happened here, you beat them on your own," Erza asked.

Gajeel weakly smirked "Don't underestimate a dragon slayer,"

"I'll take Gajeel back to the camp," Levy said.

"I'll go with you, you're hurt pretty bad," Happy flew with them.

Erza nodded, she then glared at the dog man, Yomazu, and forced him up "Who sent you,"

Yomazu scoffed "Why would I tell you,"

Erza grew a tick mark and punched the man.

Yomazu then reluctantly agreed "we are here in search of Zeref,"

Both Erza and Juvia went wide-eyed.

"Zeref lived hundreds of years ago," Juvia said.

"400 to be exact, but he's not dead, he's simply been sleeping," Yomazu smirked. "According to Master Hades, and from his reports, he is here on the island, and once he awakens we will plunge this world of magic into darkness,"

"Don't be ridiculous, this Fairy Tail sacred ground, you mean to tell me you're going to run amok on divnely protected Fairy island," Erza shouted.

Yomazu laughed "Fools, you're all already dead, Master Hades' main forces will be arriving soon, we're just the scouts. You'll be facing death at the hands of the Seven kins of Purgatory,"

"7 Kin," Juvia uttered.

"Kain Hikaru, Zancrow, Meredy, Rusty Rose, Our boss Caprico, Azuma, and Ultear," Yomazu laughed. "You'll all be dead,"

Fearing the danger Erza took out and fired a red flared "I need to halt the exam,"

The flare went off in the sky, being seen by everyone on the island.

"An enemy attack flare," Makarov said shocked.

"Intruders," Gray said, seeing the flare.

"This can't be good," Loke uttered.

"Who dares interrupts my manly rise to S-Class," Elfman shouted.

"Shut up, it's an emergency," Evergreen shouted.

"Damn it why does this have to happen now," Cana yelled.

"Hey Calm down, Cana," Lucy told her.

"But this my time to finally become S-Class," Cana shouted "How can I calm down,"

"Lucy's right Cana," Gray walked in "This is an emergency, we need to ask Gramps about it,"

"Gray, Loke, where'd you come from," Lucy asked.

"We were nearby, now let's head back to Camp," Gray said, Loke and Lucy nodded and Cana reluctantly agreed.

On the other side of the island, Pantherlilly and Carla arrived in time to save Wendy from Mest.

"Who the hell are you," Lilly threatened. "You're not Mystogan's pupil, from what I've heard my prince did not socialize much in the guild, so it's impossible for you to be his pupil, so you can't be his student,"

"Mest-san," Wendy said.

Mest grinned evilly "I'm from the magic council, I was ordered to infiltrate your guild in order to find dirt to bring you guys down,"

"What, the council," Wendy said shocked.

"How despicable, the council stooping that low," Carla shouted.

Mest scoffed "Don't compare us to you, what we do, we do in the name of the law," he then regained his smirk "You be best to surrender, my guys are already on their way here,"

"What," Pantherlilly looked out at the ocean and saw a platoon of navy battleships with the Council insignia on it.

"The council here," Carla shouted.

Mest smirked, "So all of you best behave or…"

Mest was suddenly interrupted and saw that a majority of the naval fleet was blown up "What the," he uttered.

It was then out of a tree emerged a man, dark-skinned and dressed in green. "Those were from the magic council, they'll just get in the way so I got rid of them,"

"Who are you," Mest shouted.

"I am Azuma, one of the Seven kins of Purgatory of Grimoire Heart," Azuma introduced.

"So that flare from earlier signaled an enemy attack," Mest bit his lip.

"I have no interest in fighting children and cats now leave my sight," Azuma ordered.

Lilly growled and charged at the man.

Azuma signed and waved his hand.

BLEVE

The group was hit with a large explosion destroying the cliff they were on sending them falling down. Azuma looked over and saw the group fall.

"Hmm, Pathetic,"

On the beachside of the island, Makarov stood tall in his giant Titan form blocking the incoming airship.

"This is sacred Fairy Tail ground," Makarov shouted "Leave or perish,"

"My, my," Orochimaru smirked "Quite the obstacle in our way,"

Hades stood from his throne "Caprico, take the others the island,"

Caprico bowed "As you wish master Hades," Caprico then encased the main forces in marbles, took his jet pack, and flew off, passing Makarov.

"Orochimaru, hold back, I will handle Makarov," Hades declared.

Orochimaru smirked "As you wish," the man then returned to his lab.

It was then an orb of light appeared between Makarov's hands "As is Fairy Tail tradition, I will give you on the count of three to either leave or perish," he declared. The orb of light began to glow brighter.

"One,"

"The spell that will destroy anyone the caster sees as an enemy huh," Hades said. "Fairy Law,"

"Two,"

"Hehe, how interesting," Hades smirked.

"Three, now prepare yourself," Makarov shouted and clapped his hands together. "Fairy Law,"

Hades, now standing on top of his ship just gazed at Makarov "That's quite enough,"

Makarov looked up and his eyes widened in shock.

In between Hades' hands, dark magic was gathering "Grimoire Law, this magic is a deterrent it is not something I would cast recklessly, but if we continue then we will both meet an unfortunate end,"

Makarov stopped his spell, his eyes widen further recognizing the voice "You can't be,"

Hades stopped his spell and smirked "I never thought we would meet again like this, Makarov. It's been awhile boy,"

"Master Pretch," Makarov uttered.

Hades smirked and activated his chain magic, grabbing Makarov and throwing him to the ground, reverting the old man back to his regular form.

Makarov quickly regained his footing "Why did you join a dark guild," he questioned.

"Light and dark are two sides of the same coin, Makarov," Hades told him. "The world is filled with things that can not be measured good or evil,"

"Whether good or evil, the spirit of Fairy Tail will not waver," Makarov responded.

Hades laughed "It seems you learned a way with words, boy."

"Enough with the 'boy' nonsense, you are no longer a member of the guild," Makarov clenched his fist "But I do not wish to fight you, leave now or face the consequences,"

"Aw, my heart aches as well, if ever so slight. It is my hands that will destroy Fairy Tail, I'm sure Mavis will be upset with me," Hades responded.

Makarov's power began to rise "I will not let you harm the guild,"

Hades powered up as well "You dare defy me, boy,"

The two then started to cast spells, and clashed, it was then in an instant Makarov was surrounded by several magic circles.

"An Amaterasu circle, at such high speed," Makarov said shocked.

"Prepare yourself, boy,"

AMATERASU FORMULA 100

…

A loud explosion was heard across the island.

"What was that," Juvia said, as she and Erza fought off Grimoire Soldiers that appeared out of thin air.

"It's probably the others, they are fighting as well," Erza struck down another foe "Now focus, we need to keep fighting so we can find Natsu, and Wendy,"

Juvia nodded and the two continued to fight off the soldiers. "I hope Gray-sama is okay,"

Erza and Juvia continued to fight off the Grimoire Soldiers, each one going down with relative ease.

"Who are these two," one shouted.

"Wait I think that's Titania Erza,"

"And that's Juvia of Phantom Lord's Element 4,"

"Shit no one told us they were here," another cried.

"What is going on, you all scared," a sinister and mischievous voice said.

Everyone looked and saw Zancrow emerge from the forest.

"It's Zancrow-sama,"

"We're saved,"

"You fools go and find Zeref, I'll take care of these losers," Zancrow snickered manically.

"Yes sir,"

"Man I'm so glad he's here, those two are super strong,"

Zancrow's eyes narrowed and he glared at the group "Did you guys just say they were strong,"

"Eh," the group of underlings looked scared.

"There is no guild stronger than Grimoire Heart," Zancrow glared, his body began to engulf itself in black flames.

"Black flames," Erza said.

"What's happening," Juvia said shocked.

Zancrow then incinerated his underlings with his black flames, both shocking and horrifying Erza and Juvia. The screams of fear and pain echoed in their ears.

"He just murdered his own comrades," Juvia shook.

"How could you do something like that to your own comrades," Erza shouted.

Zancrow glared and engulfed his arm in black flames "I don't need to hear that from, nobodies like you,"

Zancrow sent a wave of black flames at Erza and Juvia, Erza quickly requipped her Flame Empress Armor and Sea Empress Sword. She blocked the flames, and Juvia did as well with her water magic.

Bancroft snickered "You really think stuff like that can stop the flames of a god,"

"Flames of a god," Erza said.

"That's right," Zancrow smirked "You're dealing with a Fire God Slayer,"

"God slayer," Juvia said.

"Slayer magic like Natsu and them," Erza's eyes narrowed.

Zancrow scoffed "Don't compare me to those loser dragon hunters,"

Erza glared "Juvia go find the others, I'll take care of him,"

"Are you sure," Juvia asked and Erza nodded.

"Go, I'll be fine," Erza told her.

Juvia then nodded and ran off to go find the others. Zancrow snickered and engulfed his fist in flames "Don't think you can run from me,"

Erza then quickly dashed forward and struck Zancrow with her blade. "You're opponent is me,"

Zancrow wiped his cheek "Fine, I'll kill you first, then the water bitch,"

The two then glared at each other ready to face off.

…

Elsewhere Gray and his group; Loke, Lucy, and Cana, were fighting off more soldiers.

"Damn it, these guys just keep coming," Gray blasted another group away.

Loke nodded as he punched a few of them "They're appearing out of nowhere,"

It was then the soldier somehow vanished into thin air.

"What the hell," Gray said.

"They vanished," Cana said.

Loke then felt a presence "Up there,"

The group looked and saw Caprico standing above them.

"Your opponent now will be me, meh," Caprico declared.

"A goat?" Lucy said.

"That is a goat, I think," Cana questioned.

"Everyone is careful, this guy is stronger than the others," Loke warned.

In another part of the forest, Juvia had escaped Zancrow and decided to leave it to
Erza.

"I hope Erza-san is alright, for now, I need to find Natsu, and Wendy," Juvia then smiled brightly "Then I can reunite with Gray-sama,"

Juvia then heard footsteps approaching, she turned and saw Meredy.

"A child," Juvia raised an eyebrow, "but her magic, it's strong,"

Meredy kept her stoic look. "Enemy encountered, Eliminate Immediately, switch the highest priority to extermination."

"Who are you," Juvia shouted.

"Battle Begin," Meredy declared.

In another part of Tenrou, Elfman and Evergreen were being confronted by Rustyrose.

"Who the hell are you," Elfman shouted.

"An enemy, obviously," Evergreen said.

Rusty signed "In the lonely forest, devils and fairies have a fateful encounter,"

Elfman and Evergreen sweat dropped "Eh,"

"A spell?" Elfman raised an eyebrow.

Rusty smirked "Yes, this is our battle frontier,"

"What is this guy," Elfman said.

"An idiot for one," Evergreen signed.

Back at the camp, Mira and Lisanna felt a strong presence.

"Stay back, Lisanna," Mira told her sister.

It was then Azuma emerged from a tree. "First Children and Cats, and now women, when can I actually find a challenge,"

Elsewhere in the forest Ultear was walking through "Where are you Zeref-sama, please wait for me,"

On the airship, Orochimaru was sitting in his chain waiting patiently for an expected guest. Orochimaru then heard footsteps approaching him.

Orochimaru smirked "I'm so glad you can make it,"

"Natsu-Kun,"
