Chapter 12 My Goal

"Natsu," Erza uttered seeing Natsu's new look.

"Natsu," Gray shook shocked.

"Is this the curse mark," Lucy covered her mouth.

"Natsu-niisan," Wendy muttered.

Laxus was left speechless, he didn't know what to say.

"What happened to you," Erza shook.

Natsu was silent and took a breath "You can say I've been enlightened,"

"Enlightened? What does that mean," Lucy said.

Natsu looked upon the curse mark "I've been told by the old man and the old Polysuica to reject this power, but I should be embracing it, it feels amazing,"

"What you mean you accepted it," Erza shouted "You know what Polysuica and Master said about that power, the person who gave it to you wants to control you,"

"You mean, Orochimaru. I already know that" Natsu told her "I just don't care,"

"What, do you even know what you're saying? He wants to control you," Gray shouted.

"If he wants to control me so be it," Natsu responded "As long he helps me achieve my goal,"

"Your goal," Erza said "You mean you did this so can find Igneel,"

Natsu jerked at the mention of his adopted father but he maintained his composure "No, in fact, I no longer feel the need to search for him anymore, I realized true mission,"

"Your true mission," Wendy shook.

"Yes, my mission is..to kill my brother," Natsu declared.

Erza and the other's eyes all widen in shock and horror.

"To kill your brother," Lucy shivered.

"You have a brother," Gray shook.

"A brother," Wendy said.

"And you want to kill him," Erza uttered.

"Since when do you have a brother," Laxus said.

"Yes, I've only just remembered him." Natsu answered "It seems getting this curse mark reawakened some old memories in me, this binding urge to kill him no matter the cost, the man who took everything me,"

"The man who took everything from you," Erza said.

"Yes my brother," Natsu said. "Zeref Dragneel,"

"Zeref Dragneel," Gray said.

"As in the dark wizard Zeref," Lucy shook.

"He is your brother," Erza shivered.

"How is that possible," Wendy uttered,

"Hmm, honestly I don't know." Natsu answered "I knew him my whole life and then I go on and find out he's now a so-called 'Immortal Dark Wizard,' I don't know for sure if he's truly immortal or not but that won't stop me from killing him, that's why I'm done playing around with Fairy Tail, so leave"

Erza and the others were shocked by this.

"What? You mean you're just gonna leave, abandon everything you stood for," Lucy said.

"We've all risked our lives for each other, and you're just gonna abandon everything," Gray shouted.

"And," Natsu simply responded, and he turned and started to walk away. As Natsu was about to walk away he felt something coming, he turned his head and saw Erza jumping at him.

"DOES FAIRY TAIL JUST MEAN NOTHING TO YOU NOW!" Erza shouted.

Natsu didn't react in time and Erza pinned him to the ground. Erza got a look at Natsu's cold and dark face showing no emotion to what she said. She felt anger flare up, her eyes turned a sharp red, and she grew sharp whiskers on her face. With no hesitation, she punched him right in the cheek.

Natsu's cheek was bruised, and he just looked at Erza and he spits blood in her face. "I admit being around you all had made me somewhat stronger, but where has that ever gotten me,"

Erza was stunned by what he said. "What hell are you saying you defeated Gajeel, Laxus, Zero, Jellal many others and you see yourself as weak,"

"Yeah so," Natsu said coldly Erza was shocked by this. "They all pale in comparison to him,"

"I'm going to Orochimaru and you're not going to stop me," Natsu declared.

Erza's eyes narrowed "Orochimaru and the rest of Grimoire attacked our sacred land and nearly killed our Master, Do you really think he was just gonna give you power for free? He wants to use you as his own weapon,"

"Does it matter," Natsu responded "As long as he helps me achieve my goal, he can use me however he wishes, I will do anything as long as Zeref dies that is my mission,"

"If you guys stand in my way, then I'll have no choice but to kill you," he told her.

"I won't let this happen, I'm going to knock some sense to you," Erza declared. "I can't let this happen again,"

The two stared down and Natsu thought back to their fight earlier today. "Are you trying to say I'm being controlled like Jellal was,"

Erza's eyes widened at what he said.

"Jellal was nothing but a pawn to draw my brother out, he was just a puppet," Natsu told her "Everything I'm doing is of my own free will,"

"No, I refuse to believe that," Erza shouted.

"Believe what you want, I'm still leaving," Natsu told her.

"No I refuse, I can't let you do this," Erza told him. "Fairy Tail needs you,"

Natsu's eyes narrowed and he grabbed Erza by the neck "Who cares what you want," it was then he started to choke her.

"ERZA!" everyone cried.

"Stop it Natsu, you're hurting her," Lucy shouted.

"Damn it," Gray tried to get up and so did Laxus.

"No interruptions," Natsu took out a small lacrima and threw towards Gray, Lucy, Wendy, and Laxus and it was then in a bright light they all vanished.

"What did you do to them," Erza choked.

"Don't worry, they just got teleported away somewhere along with Happy and the others. I just don't want anyone interrupting like last time," Natsu said.

Natsu then punched Erza in the gut sending her flying and crashing into a wall. Natsu smirked "So this is the Curse Mark's power, amazing it's surging through me, my body is adapting quickly, so much power in a short amount of time,"

Erza struggled to get back on her feet, "Damn it, what the hell, this isn't Natsu,"

Natsu glared at Erza as his curse mark receded itself, his face back to normal. Natsu then smirked as Erza glared at him. Erza charged at him and a requipped a sword and she slashed at him, but he dodged it with ease. He then kicked her in the face knocking her to the ground.

Erza's eyes narrowed and she kicked Natsu in the face, knocking him to the ground.

"WAKE THE HELL UP NATSU! THIS ISN'T YOU," Erza yelled.

Natsu wiped the blood off his cheek, he then low swept Erza and kicked her away "Do you ever shut up, you need to stop clinging to the past. The one who was your friend was the old me.. This is the new me, no. The true me,"

"Wow, nii-chan you're amazing at magic," a young Natsu smiled brightly.

A young Zeref smiled softly "Thank you, Natsu,"

"Hey, do you think I can learn magic someday," Natsu jumped.

Zeref chuckled "Of course, I know you'll become a fantastic mage, come on we should head home,"

"Aw, but you promised to teach me some spells," Natsu complained.

"When you're older, you're still too young," Zeref smiled, but Natsu felt he saw some sadness behind the smile.

Natsu pouted "fine,"

The two brothers returned home and Natsu was tucked to sleep. After a few hours, Natsu heard some noise coming outside his room.

"Zeref what do you think you're doing," his mom shouted.

"You know studying magic like this is forbidden," his dad said.

"But why," Zeref questioned. "Why shouldn't we,"

His father signed "Zeref, life and death is nature you can't stop that. What you are seeing are just dreams,"

"What I saw was real," Zeref shouted "I'm not going to it let it happen,"

"Zeref," his mother cowered.

Natsu wiped his eyes tiredly "What are they talking about,"

It was then Zeref started to groan in pain "what's happening,"

"Zeref," his father said.

"Are you okay," his mother asked worriedly.

"AAAAAAHHHH!" Zeref screamed as a black mist exploded from his body consuming everything around him.

"Nii-chan," Natsu's eyes widened and he felt himself get consumed by the darkness. It was then everything went black for Natsu, and he fell unconscious

After some time the child awoke and now saw he was in the forest. He looked around confused "How did I get here, Mom, Dad, Nii-chan,"

"Are you okay child," a voice said.

Natsu looked up and his eyes widened, a giant red dragon stood before him "A dragon,"

"Yes I'm Igneel," he introduced.

"I'm Natsu, where am I," Natsu asked. "How did I get here,"

"A young man in black left you here," Igneel answered.

"Nii-chan? Why?" Natsu raised an eyebrow and his eyes widened remembering what happened "Wait what about my mom, dad,"

Igneel looked down "I am a sorry child, they are gone along with the rest of your home,"

Natsu's eyes widened in shock "Liar," he cried and ran away. Natsu was lucky he was dropped somewhere just outside his village. Once he arrived back, he saw that it was completely empty, but he smelled something, it smelled dead.

"Hello," Natsu called out, but no answer. No one was around the village and it felt completely empty. It was then he arrived at his family home "Mom, Dad, Nii-chan,"

Natsu walked around the house, it was empty, no one there, he saw that his whole house was trashed, the only thing remaining was a cloth with his mother's family emblem.

Natsu then walked outside "Where is everyone," he continued to walk and he stopped dead in his tracks, it was a mass graveyard. "What is this, a graveyard," the graveyard was massive and he remembers it not being here before. It was then two graves that caught his eyes and they widened in horror. It was the names of his parents.

"Mom and Dad are dead," Natsu shook. "How,"

"It was your brother," Igneel flew down.

Natsu's eyes widened further "Nii-chan did this day,"

Igneel nodded "Yes, it was the Curse of Ankhseram, he was cursed because he wanted to interfere in the cycle of life and death and as a result, those around him died it is a miracle you survived."

"This is Zeref's fault," Natsu said.

Igneel nodded "Yes, he will bring pain and death to those around him. You are the only one who can stop him,"

"Zeref Dragneel," Natsu uttered, his eyes turned red with a one tomoe pattern "I will kill you, no matter what"

"Zeref," Igneel thought "Is this truly what you want for your brother,"

Natsu glared at the collapsed Erza, he watched as she got back on her feet and he smirked as she did.

Erza breathed heavily and requipped a sword, and she screamed in determination and charged at Natsu. "NATSU!"

Natsu smirked and charged at her, grabbing her face and shocking her. "Burn,"

FIRE DRAGON GRIP STRIKE

Erza screamed as she was engulfed in flames and she was sent flying.

"Natsu," Erza uttered,

Natsu just glared "I no longer desire a future with Fairy Tail," and Natsu then took a deep breath.

Erza quickly requipped into her Flame Empress Armor and charged at Natsu once again.

FIRE DRAGON ROAR

Natsu fired his powerful breath attack at Erza, and the swordswoman used her Sea Empress Sword to slice the breath attack. Erza then charged at Natsu and started to slash at Natsu switching swords after each strike. Natsu effortlessly dodged each sword slash, Erza was about to bring down another blade at Natsu the sword heading towards his face but in the last second, she stopped.

Natsu just stared at her emotionlessly "You stopped,"

Erza's eyes narrowed at the statement, she felt herself struggle to bring the blade down on him.

"Don't tell me, you still see me as your precious friend and family," Natsu said. "From what I remember you did the same thing with Jellal when you fought him," Natsu then grabbed the blade his hand started to bleed.

"Natsu," Erza said shocked.

"You probably already noticed, I am not using Sharingan against you," Natsu told her. "It's not even worth using against you, if you keep acting like that,"

Erza's eyes narrowed at the insult, but she didn't let it get to her.

"Right, I forgot about your way of thinking, you don't care for insults. You don't care if you're weak as long as you have the power to protect your friends, that's enough right," Natsu said to her. "And you'll strike down anyone who threatens who dares harm the guild whether it be friend or foe, and yet you can't follow through on the former,"

Erza's eyes widened at that "I…"

"You couldn't strike down Jellal, and you can't strike me," Natsu said. "It's what makes you weak," he then kicked her up in the air and jumped after her. Natsu ignited his foot in flames.

FIRE DRAGON TALON

Natsu then flame kicked Erza back to the ground. "You lack the resolve to defeat me if you want to beat me, come at me at your best,"

Erza stood up and dusted herself off "Fine, I guess reasoning with words was never your style, so let's settle this with a fist,"

Natsu smirked "This won't end like last time, it's just the two of us," his Sharingan then activated "Now I will show you the power of the Sharingan,"

Erza requipped a katana and charged at Natsu again and started her attack and like last time he dodged it effortlessly.

"Attacking me recklessly is not going to work," Natsu dodged her attacks and grabbed her wrist and twisted it.

"Gah," Erza yelped.

"Hmm," Natsu smirked "I can predict your movements with the Sharingan, even if you increase the speed of your attacks I can see them,"

"You shouldn't overestimate yourself," Erza told him.

"Huh" Natsu was then headbutted by Erza forcing him back. Natsu wiped his cheek and smirked as he charged at Erza and unleashed a fury of punches. Erza tried to dodge but Natsu kept landing hits on her. "Fight me Erza, hit me with everything you have," Natsu's last punch hit Erza directly in the cheek."If you won't they stop wasting my time,"

Erza looked at Natsu "He's actually dead serious. He really threw himself into darkness and attacked me at full strength," Erza then spit out blood and looked down her hair covering her face "Natsu, do you truly no longer consider Fairy Tail your family. Did everything we all went through together now mean nothing to you,"

Natsu closed his eyes.

"Zeref Dragneel, I will kill you no matter what,"

"No, those times were not meaningless to me, I truly considered Fairy Tail my family," Natsu answered.

"Your family," Erza said, shocked "Then why?"

"Because there is more meaning when I defeat you," Natsu declared.

"I may no longer fully understand you anymore, but I know you want to fight me at my best," Erza requipped into her Armadura armor and twin swords. "I know words won't convince you, then our battle will,"

Natsu's Sharingan activated and his fist engulfed in flames and he charged at Erza. Erza launched herself off her feet and dashed at Natsu.

Natsu threw his fist forward, and Erza, her sword, and their clash continued.

Hey, guys, it's been a while here is chapter 12, the flashback portion probably the weakest thing I wrote I just want that out of the way it was bs anyway, it won't matter in the future. Be sure to review and let me know what you all think. In the future I will eventually introduce Natsu kind of getting his own Team Taka, I have people in mind for it but most except for two of them (Natsu of course, and someone else) will be an OC. I know I said I won't do OCs but I am opening up to them, I am open to OC suggestions such as personality and powers, but I won't full-on use an OC someone created in fear I might upset people with what I did with them.

To update couple is still going to be Natza with a dash of harem not big but a small one. For Natsu acting like Sasuke kind of the point in the story I know, it's a complaint but that's my story. For people who want the Itachi Natsu that is Sharingan no Natsu still working on the next chapter. As for Dragons of UA trying my best I'm stuck on that one right so be patient.
