Chapter 13 The Dragon and The Fox

Gray, Lucy, Wendy, Laxus, and the Exceeds instantly appeared in the middle of the Tenrou forest, a far distance from the airship.

"What the hell," Gray said.

"How did we get here," Happy asked.

"I don't know," Carla said.

"There was a light and just poof," Lilly said.

"Were we just teleported," Lucy jumped.

"But how," Wendy questioned.

"It was Natsu," Laxus answered.

"Huh,"

"Wait Laxus how did you get here," Happy jumped.

"Now's not the time for that, what do you mean it was Natsu," Carla asked.

"He threw that Lacrima at us," Laxus said.

"Right, there was that light and we ended up here," Lucy said.

"Why would he do that," Wendy said.

"I don't know," Laxus shook his head.

"We need to go back," Happy said "Something must be wrong with Natsu,"

"Happy is right, We have to get back, Erza needs our help. Natsu is not right in the head," Gray shouted. "We need to knock some sense into him,"

Everyone nodded and headed off.

Natsu's fist connected with Erza's face, sending her flying once again. Erza slid back on her feet and charged at Natsu again, her swords being charged with green lighting like energy. Erza thrust her sword forward.

FAIRY BURST

Natsu was hit directly by the attack, sending him back. He quickly got his footing back and dashed towards Erza. Erza requipped into her Heaven's Wheel armor.

HEAVEN'S WHEEL CIRCLE SWORD

Erza sends her swords flying towards Natsu. Natsu smirked and using his more heightened insight and awareness due to the Sharingan, he was able to dodge each sword with ease. He then engulfed his fist in flames.

FIRE DRAGON IRON FIST

Natsu punches Erza directly in the face, Erza though managed to stand her ground and punched Natsu in the face as well. Natsu then suddenly felt Erza's power increased slightly forcing him back. Both Erza and Natsu's eyes widen.

"What the hell was that, her power spiked up for a moment," Natsu wiped his cheek." even if it was just for a split second it was stronger than her previous blows," Natsu glared as Erza slowly got back on her feet. "This bitch, Erza, she had that kind of power,"

"It was that power again, but why."Her gaze then fell upon Natsu "Natsu," Erza looked at him "you truly do intend to do this,"

"I truly considered Fairy Tail my family,"

"The blows we shared, made me understand you spoke the truth, you truly do intend to leave," Erza said with a sad look. "But why would you say something like that,"

Natsu's eyes narrow "I need to use my speed and power advantage to overwhelm her, there's no telling if that power will pop up again," it was then his curse mark to spread around his body, his arms, face, body, and legs covered in black marks. "I need to end this quick, she's already low on power due to the Tenrou tree being gone," Natsu smirked.."Erza do you remember what gramps and Gildarts use to say, when two powerful fighters come to blows there is no need for words because they can just understand what the other feels just with an exchange of fist, so tell me do you now know what I feel,"

"Natsu," Erza thought.

Natsu smirked and charged at Erza, and kicked her in the face. Erza just looked at him and saw how much he changed. Natsu punches Erza in the gut, making her cough, and sends her flying to the wall. "What's wrong Erza, are you really struggling this much,"

"His speed and power skyrocketed," Erza spit out blood. "This must be because of the curse mark, he's too strong,"

Erza looked up and saw Natsu looking down on her with a cold look. "You are weak, he told her.

Erza's eyes narrowed. "Natsu you know this better than anyone,"

"Huh," Natsu blinked.

Erza smirked "Not to underestimate your opponent," she then low swept him off-balancing him and she head-butted him.

"GAH," Natsu coughed.

Natsu slid back. "More cheap tricks,"

Erza smirked "Something I picked up from you, you always due tend to resort to cheap tactics if backed in a corner,"

"Hmm," Natsu's eyes narrow, he then noticed something Erza he saw that she was shivering and he smirked "You're shivering,"

Erza went wide-eyed and felt it, her body was shaking.

"Don't tell me you're scared," Natsu smirked.

Erza didn't answer, her eyes just narrowed at Natsu., but she stood up and faced him "Yes I'm afraid, but not of you,"

Natsu's eyes narrowed at this.

"I'm afraid of what I have to do to you to wake you up," Erza declared.

"You make it sound like you already won, you always tried to sound strong, face it Erza you can't beat me," he told her "Not at the state I am now,"

"Maybe so, but I won't back down in a fight, I am going to wake you up Natsu, and make you realize you're making a mistake. I won't let a dear friend of mine fall again because of Zeref," Erza declared equipping into her Clear Heart.

Natsu's anger grew at the mention of his brother's name and he looked down "You are right, most of the tragic events that happened to this world has been my brother's doing, his demons, Dark Guilds, Deliora, Jellal, Grimoire Heart, Tartaros, so many deaths because of my brother or people doing in his name,"

"Natsu," Erza said softly.

"I CAN'T STAND IT! THOSE PEOPLE SPOUTING HOW MY BROTHER WILL BRING IN A NEW AGE OF MAGIC AND BRINGING THEM SALVATION! ALL OF THEM KILLING IN HIS NAME! THEY ARE ALL FOOLS IN BELIEVING IN ZEREF! THEY DON'T SEE HE'S A MONSTER! SOMEONE WHO WOULD EVEN KILL HIS PARENTS! THAT IS WHY I MUST KILL HIM! Natsu shouted.

"And you will stop him," Erza reached and touched his shoulder "but not like this, not alone. We will help you find and defeat your brother, but you can't do it like this. Fairy Tail will help you everyone understands what you are going through we all lost people close to us, so please come home,"

"Erza," Natsu said.

"You didn't erase it," Erza told him.

"Huh," Natsu blinked.

"Your guild mark," Erza gestured and Natsu looked at his right shoulder and saw the Red Fairy Tail Guild Mark. "If you truly want to separate yourself from Fairy Tail then why keep it. It's important to you isn't it,"

"With this guild mark you are now an official member" Makarov smiled at the young Natsu.

"Wow! Cool," Natsu grinned.

"This symbol shows that you are in constant pursuit of an adventure, mystery, and your goal in life. You will stand up and fight alongside your friends and allies no matter what and never betray them. Do you understand?"

Natsu nodded and grinned "Yeah I got it, Gramps,"

"Natsu, now that you are part of this guild. You must promise me something," Makarov said. "You must never stray from the right path, always follow what is right. Others may try to sway into going down the other path but you mustn't give in to temptation, understand,"

Natsu nodded "Yeah Gramps, I promise,"

"You can't go down this path," Erza told him "I know you're angry and want to kill your brother and that Master lied to you, but he did it for your own good. He didn't want you to go down this path you are now. So please come back and we can fix this,"

Natsu looked down and didn't say anything.

Erza softly smiled "Natsu,"

"Erza," he muttered. "I'm sorry,"

Erza's mood started to brighten believing she broke through, but.

"But it's too late,"

Erza's eyes widened in shock. Natsu then punched her in the stomach and he kicked her away. Natsu ignited his hand and flames and to Erza's shock, Natsu burned off the Fairy Tail guild mark on his shoulder, his shoulder now scared. "This mark means nothing to me, and I can no longer return,"

"Natsu," Erza shook seeing the new scar on his shoulder.

"I acknowledge you are strong Erza, you understand me. The feeling of being betrayed by someone you thought as your hero," Natsu told her and Erza looked at him with a sad look. "And the pain of that betrayal made you stronger, you found strength in being Fairy Tail and so did I, but now I need a new way of attaining power. A way that doesn't involve any of you,"

Natsu got back into a fighting stance and Erza stood up "and if I have to kill you all to achieve that goal, then I will do it. So stay out of my way or die," it was then Natsu's two tomoe became three.

Tears started to form from Erza's eyes now seeing how much Natsu changed. "Natsu," she cried.

Natsu's eyes just narrowed, paying no attention to her tears. Natsu charged at her and punched her in the face. He continued with a barrage of punches and with the last punch he sent her flying.

"Natsu," she thought "this can't truly be happening, you can't be gone,"

Erza looked at Natsu and just like Jellal in the past, she no longer saw the kind and gentle person she knew her whole life. All she saw was someone evil, a person who would do whatever it takes to achieve something. More tears started to form from Erza's eyes "even if he cast himself away and severed our friendship. I can't beat him. I can't fight him. I can't hurt my friend."

"Yes, what you say is true," a deep voice said.

Erza's eyes widen "that voice I've heard it before, from my fight with Zancrow,"

"Yes it is me," Erza opened her eyes and saw that she was in an empty space. and saw a large fox spirit with nine tails before her. "My name is Kurama,"

"Kurama, who are you and why are you here," Erza asked.

"To answer, I am what you called a Bjuu, one of nine powerful beasts whose power surpasses that of dragons," Kurama said. "And as of now, we are in your mind,"

"My mind," Erza said.

"Yes, I was a spirit who has been sealed in you long ago, only now you are able to tap into a portion of my power," Kurama told her.

"Sealed within me how?" Erza questioned shocked.

"A story for another time," Kurama told her "but right now you are in great danger, you are facing a powerful opponent,"

"So you were the one who helped me defeat Zancrow and Azuma," Erza asked, and Kurama nodded.

"But now you face an even more troubling opponent," Kurama told her and Erza looked down.

"Yes, Natsu, someone dear to me has betrayed me and my friends. I can't beat him, I can't even fight him. What am I supposed to do," Erza shouted.

"Hmm," Kurama stroked his chin "it is true at your current power you can't beat him but adding my power to yours you may have a chance"

"What," Erza's eyes widened. "You mean like before,"

Kurama nodded "yes but this won't be my full power, your body is not ready yet, this will only be a portion enough for you to keep up with him,"

"Why are you doing this," Erza asked.

"I'm fulfilling a promise to an old friend," Kurama answered.

"An old friend," Erza raised an eyebrow.

"A story for another time, but like I said it is unknown if you can beat him with a portion of my power only to keep up with him," Kurama told her. "So do you wish to use it,"

Erza closed her eyes and thought back to what Natsu said. She knew Kurama was right, she can't beat Natsu as she is now. "Natsu has grown significantly stronger after awakening the Sharingan and gaining the Curse Mark. It changed him. Then maybe,"

"Are you going to change too, separate yourself from your ideas to gain power," Kurama asked her? His eyes narrow.

"No," Erza shook her head "I won't abandon Fairy Tail, or its ideals, but I need to defeat Natsu and have him open his eyes. I want the power to save my friends,"

Kurama smiled "Good, then you will have it, but as I said this is only a portion of my power any more and you will destroy yourself understood,"

Erza nodded "I understand, thank you Kurama, and maybe after this if I survive we get to know each other,"

Kurama smirked "you are like him indeed,"

Natsu carried a sad look, Erza was now buried beneath a pile of ship rumble. "I guess this is goodbye Erza," Natsu turned to walk away, but he stopped, he felt something a chill went down his spine. "What is this power I'm feeling,"

Natsu quickly turned around and was shocked to see the power was coming from the pile of debris atop of Erza. "This power is from before, but stronger. Is this Erza?" The debris then exploded.

"AAAAAAHHHHHH!" Erza screamed as red energy circled around her when she burst out and Natsu's eyes widened. Erza has changed. She grew sharp fangs and her nails sharpened, her eyes now a sharp red and she grew six sharp whiskers, and parts of her hair spiked up.

"Natsu!" she shouted, and Natsu stepped back. "I will stop you! I won't let you leave! Fairy Tail needs you, and I will bring you back even if I have to break you,"

Natsu quickly regained his composure "I see this is your true power, Erza," he then grew a smirk and it was the Curse Mark grew around his body. It was then Natsu's skin changed to a dark grey, his hair grew slightly and became a more dark red-purple color.

"It seems I can use the Curse Mark at his full power against you now," Natsu said sadistically.

Erza's eyes narrowed at the transformation. "Natsu," she growled.

"But I won't end it there," Natsu smirked. Erza's eyes then widened and red scales started to form around Natsu's body, he grew two small horns, and the horns and his arms began to emit red flames.

"This is from before," Erza's eyes narrowed.

"That's right, this is Dragon Force," Natsu told her. "This is the true potential of the dragon slayer and tops it off with the Curse Mark and Sharrigan I'm much more powerful than I am before,"

"So let's finish this. Come at me with all you got! Show me your Power!"

"ERZA SCARLET!"

Here we are chapter 13 what do you all think. We are getting close to the end of the chapter. First I want to thank Neko-Man for his review of the last chapter, thanks for explaining my intentions for the whole mini-harem, though it won't be much of a mini-harem more like a love triangle. Anyway, what do you all think? The whole Dragon Force and Curse Mark fusion was something sitting in my head when I was writing what do you all think of it. To update on my other stories, Dragons of UA almost done with that chapter, Sharingan no Natsu almost done with that too, so you might see an update soon.
