Chapter 15 A New Journey Begins

Erza's eyes shot open and she sat up immediately, she looked around and saw that she was in a small room, but it wasn't just any room it was the guild's infirmary.

"Am I eye in the guildhall," Erza pant "How did I?". Her thoughts were then interrupted when the door opened revealing Bisca, the green-haired sniper mage.

"Erza," Bisca signed in relief "You're awake, thank goodness. We thought you wouldn't make it,"

"Bisca," Erza uttered. "What's going on? How did I get back here? I was Tenrou and then.."

"Acnologia appeared, and it destroyed the island," Bisca finished her sentence in a sad voice.

"What? How did you...?" Erza's eyes widened.

"The Council told us, they said that a dragon appeared and destroyed the island," Bisca said looking down. "You've been out for almost a week,"

"What about the others? Master, Wendy, Mira," Erza asked worriedly.

Bisca shook her head, trying not to form tears "I'm sorry you were the only survivor,"

Erza was in horror "What?"

"The council said that they only found you in remains of the island," Bisca wiped a tear "no sign of anyone else,"

"No that can't be," Erza shook.

"I'm sorry but it's true, we even searched ourselves and found nothing," Bisca said.

"No it can't be…" Erza teared.

"I'm sorry," Bisca placed a tray of food on the nightstand.

"Then that means only me and Natsu survived," Erza said.

"Natsu? But the council said," Bisca was interrupted.

"He left the island before Acnologia showed up,," Erza said. "He...deserted Fairy Tail,"

"What?" Bisca was shocked at what Erza said.

"He deserted our guild," Erza said again.

"Why would he.."

"He wanted power," Erza interrupted. "I'm sorry I couldn't stop him, and I couldn't stop Acnologia," she cried.

Bisca was silent, but she put on a brave face "Don't worry, just get some rest. I'll go tell the others and once you feel better you can talk to the others," Bisca then left the room to go break more bad news to the others. Erza overheard the loud, shocked, and heartbroken reactions. She even heard Romeo crying and running out of the guild. The guilt riddled Erza to her core.

"It seems you're awake now,"

Erza's eyes widen "Kurama,"

"Yes its me,"

Erza's eyes then narrowed "Why,"

"What?"

"Why didn't you give me your power to fight Acnologia," Erza shouted at the fox spirit "If I had your power I could have saved my family,"

Kurama signed "You weren't ready and your body was weak, if you fought then you could have died, but don't worry your family is alive anyway, so it also would have been a waste,"

"What," Erza's eyes widened.

"Before that damn lizard destroyed the island, a magic spell was casted sealing everyone but you in it," Kurama told her.

"Then," Erza was forming tears.

Kurama nodded "Yes, your family is alive,"

Erza smiled tearfully "Thank goodness, but then why aren't they here,"

"The sealing spell probably won't be undone for a while, it's probably that's the Fairy Sphere spell," Kurama said.

"One of the great Fairy Spells," Erza said. "As long as they are alive then I'm relieved,"

"And besides there is the other issue, What are you going to do about Natsu?" Kurama questioned.

"I don't know, I want to bring him back, but I know I'm currently not strong enough to beat him," Erza told the spirit, Erza clenched her fist "But I swear I will bring him back home,"

Kurama smirked "you two are alike, so you decided to train to become stronger,"

Erza nodded "Yes, I can't just wait. I need to get stronger to fight Natsu again. And if everyone else is gone then I need to protect everyone who is here,"

"I see, if that's your decision then I can't stop you, even if I wanted to, this is your body," Kurama smirked.

Erza smiled "Thank you Kurama,"

"No prob, and if you need a place to train then I know a place," Kurama told her "It's perfect for learning my kind of power,"

"What place," Erza asked. Kurama then told of her what place he was referring to her, and Erza just smiled "I see that does sound perfect,"

After a week or two of recovering, Erza told the leftover guild members of her plan.

"What you plan on going on a training journey," Macao shouted.

"But with the Master gone, we need someone like you to lead," Wakaba yelled.

"I know, that's why I leave leadership to you and Macao," Erza told the old men "And if you need help then contact me for consultation,"

"Are you sure you should go, " Alzack asked "I mean after what happened on Tenrou and with Natsu,"

The guild all looked down at the mention of the dragon slayer.

"I know, we all feel down after what Natsu did, but that won't change anything," Erza shouted. "I am going to get stronger so I can beat him and bring him back to Fairy Tail," she declared "He may not see it but he's hurt and he needs us, that's why I will bring him back,"

"Wow she sounds like a Master," Max said.

The guild members just looked at each other but came to an agreement.

"Okay, we'll hold down the fort while you're gone. And like you said we'll check Tenrou island if the Fairy Sphere is ever undone," Macao said.

Erza smiled "Thank you,"

"So where will you be training," Bisca said.

"It's a place in a far-off land," Erza answered. "It's called Mt. Myoboku ancient area where great sages live, Kurama said they'll help me master his power,"

"Mt. Myoboku, okay then. Be careful Erza," Bisca told her.

Erza nodded "I will,"

Erza grabbed her bag, and walked outside of the guildhall, and turned towards everyone inside. "Goodbye everyone, don't do anything too stupid when I'm gone"

"BYE ERZA! GOOD LUCK!" they all called, and Erza waved goodbye.

Erza was not outside of Magnolia walking, and she stumbled upon Natsu and Happy's house, and she found herself walking inside. And she let out a light laugh.

"As always he's sloppy," Erza softly smiled seeing the messy house. Erza then took notice of a face-down photo, she picked up and had a sad look. It was a photo taken of the whole guild, it was sometime after Wendy joined. She saw the smiles of everyone, Natsu's one catching her eyes the most. That goofy smile she loved so much. Erza then felt something fall out of her bag, she turned and it was Natsu's scarf, she forgot she held out to it when Wendy found it.

Erza looked down at the scarf, it was something Natsu held close to his heart. It was in her hands now. Erza then wrapped the scarf around her neck.

"Natsu I swear I will bring you home no matter what,"

Erza left Natsu's house, and with one final look, she turned and walked away.

"So Kurama is where Mt. Myoboku," she asked the fox.

Kurama smirked "Don't worry I'll get you there in a flash, just do what I say,"

"Huh," Erza raised an eyebrow. "Hand signs, okay then," Erza formed the hand signs Kurama told her to make after showing them to her.

"Like this," Erza slammed her palm to the ground.

REVERSE SUMMONING JUTSU

It was then suddenly in a puff of smoke, Erza vanished in the spot she was in.

In a rich and beautiful land, surrounded by a jungle pond-like area. A puff of smoke appeared in the air and out of it fell Erza screaming.

SPLASH

Erza landed in a large pond, and she emerged from the pond completely wet.

"OKAY, WHAT WAS THAT!"

Kurama snickered "Sorry, but that's the only here for you,"

"Could have warned me," Erza shouted.

"Hey you're here aren't you," Kurama retorted.

"So this Mt. Myoboku," Erza looked at the beautiful landscape "It's beautiful,"

"So you're here huh," an elder male voice.

Erza turned and jumped at the sight, in front of her was a large dark red toad, "A toad,"

"Yo," the toad greeted.

"And it talks," Erza yelled.

"So you're the current Kyuubi Jinchuriki," the toad said.

"Huh, you know me," Erza asked.

The toad nodded "Great Sage told us you'd be here seeking to train, and I'm here to welcome to you, Name's Gamakichi,"

"Gamakichi." Erza raised an eyebrow.

Gamakichi nodded "Right, and the old man wants us to train you,"

"I'm supposed to train with a toad," Erza questioned,

Kurama smirked "Hey don't underestimate them, they are quite tough you'll learn tons,"

"Okay if you say," Erza nodded, She turned to Gamakichi, and she bowed to him "I'm ready to learn all I can,"

Gamakichi smiled "hehe, you do have manners okay then let's get started, once you settle in,"

"Yes sir," Erza nodded.

Gamakichi guided her to a small house, and unknown to her a small green toad with white hair and beard was watching from a distance.

Elsewhere in a large indoor warehouse, there were piles of bodies surrounding one man with dark pink salmon hair in white.

Orochimaru smirked "Impressive Natsu-kun, to take out this many on your own you truly are a genius when it comes to combat,"

Natsu's eyes narrowed, "Is that it,"

"Don't worry, more is coming," Orochimaru told him.

It was then a large door opened revealing more thugs, enhanced with curse marks. The thugs all yelled and charged at him.

Natsu's eyes simply narrowed, his Sharingan activated. He took out the katana that was stabbed on the ground. Natsu then charged at the thugs, cutting down each one with ease,

"Hehe," Orochimaru smirked. "He progresses so quickly, he and the other three will make a powerful elite squad that rivals the entire Baram Alliance," he turned to three other monitors on each monitor were other individuals, one was a feminine looking one in a room surrounded with ice spikes, the second one was a large man who was slouching with a room drenched in blood, and the other a mischievous looking one with limbs all-round him. All three of them looking close to Natsu's age.

Orochimaru then opened his notes and one page had a drawing of a large gate, and he smirked.

Yes, 7 more years and everything will be ready,"

AN. Hey guys, Short chapter. okay, Tenrou's aftermath happened too quickly but after this will be a short filler arc on Erza and Natsu training. Sorry for not giving much of the rest of Fairy Tail's reaction to Natsu. Erza surviving Tenrou took a suggestion and went with it will work better if Natsu and Erza are nearly even. This filler arc might just be 2 or 3 chapters. So have fun with it. We also get a tease of Natsu's Team Taka, I have personalities in mind just need names to work with.
