MerendinoEmilano: I'm glad you enjoyed the tone I set.
Victor John Foxfire: Tails is technically the liberal, pushing the change forward against Johan's efforts. That being said, Tails isn't necessarily doing it because he believes in the cause. Tails knows that his only family is part of the republic, and that they need his support. He never questions it out desperation for that family, and never looks to see if he ever had family outside of blood…
Antoine and Christina were was France and Italy's rivalry with Wine, and one of the Italian arguments is that Italian wine is better in cooking. The French flaunt their elegant flavors. Antoine made the joke that Christina can't cook, and she shook it off…about as well as she could.
Now… this chapter makes me feel like I get a little close to that rating line. You'll know the scene.

Fiona stood at the clearing of the forest, seeing the trees around her. She couldn't see the knight, or the white-hooded figure. What was going to happen in this dream? Fiona knew something was coming, and it had to be scary because that was how these dreams went.
She looked around at the large trees that seemed to spread out, providing shade for her. The river near her was flowing so smoothly, softly. The water was so clear and beautiful, she wanted to drink right out of it. The sandy beach was golden, and the sun seemed to cast a cheerful gaze.
Fiona felt the warmth on her face, and walked towards the river. She saw a few craters, which seemed to be in the shape of bodies, likely where someone had slept. The sun danced around her face, and Fiona felt so happy, and at peace. The world looked so strangely nice and pleasant, one that wasn't torn up by war, pain or greed. A world without Scourge, Johan or Eggman.
Fiona closed her eyes, feeling the sun soak her fur, breathing in the slow, and peaceful air. Then… The air turned cold. Fiona noticed the shift immediately, and opened her eyes. The sun had disappeared, and was replaced by the moon. The trees which had been shelter seemed to cast over her, as if waiting for her to walk under them to trap her.
Fiona stopped walking, and stood still. Her heart began to beat nervously. There were things moving around that she was not quite ready for. She could tell that much.
"WHOOO!" A call came from the sky. A shadow passed over the moon, flying left. Fiona balled her fist, and got ready to move. Her memory of her dream wasn't exactly good, but she had a creeping feeling that the owl that made the call wasn't exactly friendly.
She could somewhat see from the stars that were being blocked where the owl was, or at least where she thought it was.
Fiona then ran under the trees, and hugged the trunk.
A light shined in the left corner of her eyes as Fiona watched the sky. She saw the glowing, golden figure who floated over the water.
"Do not be afraid. Times are coming, and dangers will surround you, but I will guide you and protect you." The God spoke with such a soothing yet thundering voice. Fiona found it so comforting, because ultimately, he hadn't lied yet.
Fiona nodded, "Ok, but what's coming. Who is the owl? Where Is the white cloaked person? What's happening?"
"Have faith, I will not abandon you. Heed my warnings, and live for me." The glowing figure commanded.
Fiona was about to respond when talons appeared in her vision as the owl dived at her. She braced as the glowing angry eyes glared into her soul. The Talons came in close.
Fiona bolted awake. She hated dreams like that. They always woke her up feeling excited and scared. Fiona, however, smelled something sweet and fluffy.
She got out of bed, and put on her outfit. Fiona immediately felt warm. Her body was acting up. Was she sick? No, it wasn't a fever, it was something else. Fiona shook it off, she focused her head, and Fiona's body slowly cooled down. It was still dark out, with the sun barely cresting the hills.
She walked out of her room, finding herself getting excited. Something about the smell in the air. It wasn't the pastry… it was something else entirely.
Her body began to warm up as she walked down the hallway. The air seemed to drive her nuts. Speaking of which, there were almond pies out. Christina was amazing.
Fiona was about to devour one, when she saw blur zip in to the room, grab one, and ferociously, masculinely tore it ap-
Fiona shook her head. What Sonic was doing was not cool, or manly, it was disgusting. Fiona's eyes saw something else, however. Something about the way he just tore into made her feel… different.
Sonic stopped, panting, and turned to look at Fiona, slightly horrified or… confused. She saw his quills shiver.
Fiona's voice didn't sound as confident as she wanted. Instead, it sounded unsure, "What's wrong?"
Sonic licked his lips as he caught his breath, "You… You… You're shaking, and purring?"
Fiona blinked and shook herself, "W-what?" Fiona could feel where her fur collided with itself during the vibrations. What was wrong with her? Fiona shook herself, "I guess you just make me feel so comfortable." She walked up to Sonic and rested her head on his shoulder. Her tail rubbed across his stomach, going up and down.
"Fiona, I have to go." Sonic pulled away from her, seeming to be uncomfortable. It didn't exactly sit well with her, but she saw him zip off once again.
Then Fiona realized what she had done. It wasn't an act. It wasn't a flirty, manipulative confidence. She almost went for the kill. What was wrong with her? Fiona knew. She wanted Sonic, she wanted him all to herself…. And her body was acting in the best way to make it happen.
Or maybe Sonic's running had released… chemicals that would tell the ladies around him that he was, in fact, very active and powerful. Maybe her body felt the chemicals and reacted appropriately.
Maybe she was lonely, and eager to get Sonic to replace Scourge. Sonic was single, at least as far she knew, and why should she fill in the slot?
Fiona was going to have him by the end of the night, she made that vow. Her hormones wouldn't be a problem, and her life would get better. At least, that was what she hoped. She formulated a plan.
Sonic reappeared in the room, and grabbed a pitcher of water. He was sweaty, and clearly exhausted, but he drank up, and ran once again.
"Your-a up early." Christina's voice called out from the doorway. Fiona jumped, and turned to face her.
"Yeah, something woke me up. I don't know how else to explain it." Fiona smiled, scratching her head. How much had Christina seen?
"Your-a little fox-a, you know that-a?" Christina smiled, and made an elbow jab in the air, "He's a good-a lookin' too? He's-a been running all-a round-a all morning."
Fiona smiled, remembering their first dating attempts, the ones that had been lies, "That sounds like him." She realized that she had been purring once again. Her tail curled up and down her back.
Fiona mentally slapped herself. When that didn't work, she physically smacked herself. The heat in her face subsided for a brief moment, before surfacing once again.
Fiona ran up to her room. She did some elevated push-ups, and ran around the manor, trying to exhaust herself in the process, and maybe go back to sleep. Her body seemed to boost her energy, seeming to draw from some unknown reserve that Fiona had kept locked away.
She couldn't seem to calm down. Fiona was so excited, she actually started to feel sick. She went into the kitchen, and ate some pie, which seemed to calm her stomach down. Oh, how she felt so jittery and excited.
Sonic zipped back in the kitchen, grasping the table to steady himself. Sonic seemed to run himself ragged, panting, his eyes seemed to close, as if he was falling asleep from exhaustion. He grabbed himself another pitcher of water, and drank it, but with the way it was positioned, the water seemed to spill down his chest.
Sonic let out a growling gasp and steadied himself on the table. He rubbed his head, clearly stressed out about something.
Fiona dared to walk up, "Hey… what's up? You're up way too early, and you seem stressed. Is everything alright? What's got you going around the world so early?"
Sonic looked at her, his eyes panicked and terrified, before calming down, "Every nobleman seems to be up to something. Armies are gathering, and I am trying to write letters to get everyone to slow everyone down."
Fiona listened to Sonic, and wasn't feeling to comfortable about the whole kingdom ripping itself to pieces. The more Fiona thought about it, the more she realized just how messy things were getting. The nobles were choosing ambition over loyalty, and it was coming to full force on everyone. Still, she couldn't blame them. If she had the opportunity to take the throne for herself, Fiona would absolutely do it.
Her mind went to her supporters. The southern duchies, which had formed out of the southern baronies, wanted to make her queen. She was absolutely for the idea; except she knew exactly why they wanted it. After pushing away noble suitors and young heirs, Fiona would be on the throne literally just to make babies and give the crown to her husband. She was not having that game.
Fiona looked at the ragged hedgehog, and saw just how hard he was working. She didn't want him to drop dead from exhaustion. God only knew what Eggman would do once Sonic was down for the count. "Why are you running yourself into the ground? They're going to push their ambition until someone stops them, or until their support runs out. Just go to bed, get some sleep." Fiona could see his mind agreeing with her.
His shoulders slouched as if saying it was time for bed. Sonic's posture was lower, and he actually staggered towards her, before shaking his head. Why was he so stubborn? "Sally is trying to get the republic to change. I need to keep them from attacking."
The Republic… From what Fiona heard, a big split occurred within the council members, or rather, an even division with every reform. Three council members wanted something, the other three didn't. A new seat to break the tie? That got a tie vote, so no. Easing on taxes? Tie, so no. Moving forces to attack Eggman? Tie…tie… tie…
"And how are you doing that?" Fiona asked, hearing her voice get a little snarky and aggressive. Admittedly, it was probably not good for their relationship, but she felt oddly defensive. Those two seemed to get really close over the past two days. She was a little nervous.
Maybe Sally prompted her hormones going crazy? Fiona was a little skeptical of that answer, but she also couldn't rule it out. Sally had made up a lot of ground, and Fiona felt like she had made so little progress.
"I've been writing letters for…" Sonic looked around for a clock. His eyes seemed to hold each blink, demonstrating how exhausted he was, "I don't know." Sonic groaned, scratching his forehead, allowing his eyes to close.
Fiona couldn't help but feel so pitiful for him. The guy was always trying to keep everyone together and safe, but he was also completely ignoring his own needs. Sonic needed a break, and Fiona was determined to get him to stand down.
She stamped her foot, "Alright, that's enough." She growled, unsure if she was angry at Sally or Sonic.
"What?" Sonic groaned, panting, his head shaking as if trying to wake up, while also being confused.
"That's enough. You aren't doing anything by writing letters and working all night and day. Go to bed, get some sleep." Fiona commanded, pointing up the stairs, much to Sonic's confusion and horror. He seemed to be tired, but also stubborn, committing to the job at hand.
"What are you, my mom? I can get some sleep later. Once I get this off my chest, I'll take a big nap, ok?" Sonic asked, making his barter offer as though it were completely reasonable.
"No, You can barely stand as it is. Rest equals rust, but an overused hammer bends out of shape. Go to bed, and get the letters to the nobles after you have rested and recovered. No exceptions." Fiona growled, and glared at Sonic with the firmest gaze she could manage.
"I need to get them to stop as soon as possibl-" Sonic tried, gasping for air, and slumping down. His sweat was drying, and he was… starting to smell.
"A couple hours isn't going to make a difference. A day probably won't. Go to bed, and get better. When you wake up, we can handle everything once you can actually stand!" Fiona growled, throwing her hands up.
Sonic blinked, before nodding, "Fine… You're worse than Sally, sheesh. I'll take a bath and get to bed."
Fiona took firm command, "No, I will wash your sheets. Get to bed, now!"
Sonic looked back at the pitcher of water, and drank the rest before walking out of the room. Fiona felt pretty proud of herself. She was showing Sonic she cared, and he was actually listening to her. They might have a beautiful companionship… which could lead into cuddles, and then lead into-
Fiona slapped her cheeks. Now was not the time for those kinds of thoughts. If she tried to take advantage of Sonic, he'd run off. That was one thing she had learned from Sally. One of the many things.
Fiona walked up to Sonic's room, and heard the snoring of the very sleepy hedgie. Fiona dared to crack his newly replaced door, and see that he wasn't even under the covers. He just flopped on the bed and went to sleep.
Fiona walked over to the hedgehog, who was snoozing away. She grabbed his leg, and tried to pull. The hedgehog was stiff… and smelly. Still, she could put up with it. After all, Sonic would do the same for her. Fiona found his leg hard to move. She grabbed his leg with both of her hands, and pulled him to the side of the bed.
Fiona gasped as she lifted his legs, trying to muscle the hedgehog, who was surprisingly heavy, to the side of the bed. She raised him up, and pulled the covers over his form, allowing him to slump down into the bed. Sonic let her know he knew Fiona was there, and had moved him around.
Fiona saw his sleeping face, so comfy under the covers. She let her hormones win for the briefest moment, crawling in the bed with him. She tried to snuggle a little closer, when her nose let her know how much of a mistake that was.
Sonic had been around the world, and no matter how she tried to spin it, Sonic smelled terrible. Fiona tried turning her nose, facing the other direct, even putting some distance between them. Fiona had been around apes that had failed to bathe for weeks, but his smell was certainly ferocious.
She conceded, and climbed out of the bed. Fiona didn't have enough heart hormones to make her sleep in that smelly bed. She definitely should have had him take a bath beforehand. Fiona left the room, and walked into the hall, catching Christina's smug, smiling gaze.
"You're-a quite the vixen." Christina goaded, "You tryin-a sleep with-a hedgehog."
Fiona smiled innocently, not even going to pretend to play into her trap, "I just want to make sure he is alright. There's nothing wrong with that, now is there?"
"You and I both-a know you're-a trying something else." Christina gave a confident glare. Sudden Fiona actually felt a little nervous. Christina wasn't some bigshot fighter, was she?
Fiona smiled, but held up her hands, "I'm playing fair, you can't tell me I'm not. Besides, I'm going to bed now anyway. I'm not doing anything to him."
Christina nodded, "Just-a don't hurt him. I'm-a protect my boss." Christina balled a fist. Fiona imagined the girl actually had muscle under her uniform. Fiona had seen the chefs in her father's manor.
"I don't plan on it." Fiona laughed nervously, before shutting her door, and climbing in bed. She starred up at the ceiling. For once in her life, she was going to trust herself, and trust someone else. Sonic was there for her, and he'd be there for her… dare she plan it? Forever?
Fiona snorted to herself as she curled up in her bed. First thing was getting Sonic to acknowledge her as his… girlfriend.
That sounds so childish Fiona mentally growled. Suitor, I'll go with that.
Fiona smiled at that thought. How many of her problems would get solved when Sonic would be her suitor? No more meeting strange pompous noblemen, no more awkward interactions with a few young boys who were as forced into talking to her as she was to them. The only thing Fiona would have to deal with is… that Fiona fox broke Sonic the Hedgehog's heart, and betrayed him for his evil twin…
Fiona was once again reminded of just how hard her life was. She'd made a bunch of stupid decisions and she was going to-
Be at peace
The wind seemed to speak to her. Fiona calmed down, not of her volition, but as if the command worked its way into her very soul, and changed her body. Yet Fiona was grateful for the sudden change, as her thoughts tended to leave her in an unfavorable state.
The only thing she could think about was how stressed Sonic was. It wasn't good for him, and she wasn't going to get anywhere while he was tearing himself to pieces. She wanted him to not be so stressed, admittedly because she was selfish.
Fiona felt her eyes getting heavy. She couldn't figure it out. Fiona wished she could go back in time, and stop herself from driving a wedge between her and the Freedom Fighters. If she knew then what she knew now, Fiona would have told Scourge to shove it up his ass.
Fiona rolled over, and gazed at the bathroom doorway. The odds were stacked against her, and Fiona needed a plan, one that didn't require dancing around the truth…
She had the perfect idea. It wouldn't be something Aria of Apalsa would come up with, no, it was a Fiona Fox tactic, but that style had its perks. She would have to get perhaps a little less… upper class, but that was Sonic's alley. He was simple, so he would hopefully appreciate her efforts.
She would do it that night, when they were finally easing up, and nothing could get in the way. Fiona knew where to go, she just hoped that she wouldn't get too much resistance.
It suddenly became harder to sleep, as Fiona found herself excited for the night. There were a handful of things that could go wrong, but Fiona was doubtful about any of it. Maybe if Sonic hooked up with someone before their night…
Fiona almost laughed at the thought. Not that the guy couldn't somehow charm his way into any girl's pants, but that he, in his emotional state, was looking for a partner. That was a bit of a double edged sword on Fiona's part. Would he looked for her? What if he wasn't re-
Fiona growled, "Go to sleep!" She told herself, and covered up. Her eyes closed, and though her resistance was strong, eventually the sweet embrace of sleep pulled her in.
She awoke what was probably a few hours later. Fiona sat up, and could hear the movement around the house. Sonic was at it yet again. She walked out of the room, and down the hallway, to find Christina asleep at the table. The poor girl had probably worked herself to death.
Fiona decided to go to an extra room, and grab a blanket for the poor girl. The marmot was drooling on the table, which Fiona would ignore for the fact that Christina had probably gotten up extra early to take care of Sonic.
Speaking of him, Fiona heard the door open, and she saw him, panting, but not nearly as ripped up. He seemed to be a little happier, and a lot more energized.
"See what a good rest can do?" Fiona raised her eye brow puffing up her left cheek, in a flirtatious way. She had a feeling it either went right over his head, or he just wasn't in the mood to play.
"Yeah, I really needed that. Thanks." Sonic arched his back and sat down, before glancing at Christina, smiling down at her, "I guess I really shouldn't have woke her up so early?"
Fiona blinked at Sonic, "You got her up to make pies?"
Sonic scratched his cheek, smiling nervously, "I was hungry, and she makes good food."
Fiona couldn't argue there, but still, Sonic waking her up just to get a snack felt off. Then again, him running around the world to deliver letters felt off as well.
"How did everything go?" Fiona asked, hoping to maybe get Sonic to relax a little.
"It's still going on. I've got a few more letters to deliver, and then I'll be done." Sonic let out a stressed sigh, "Eggman is probably getting stronger every day and we're about to kill each other. I'm not a genius, but come on!" Sonic shook himself and smiled again, "I guess everything will turn out. It always does."
Fiona was about to walk over, and hug him, when Sonic grabbed another handful of letters on the table and zipped out. Fiona shook her head, and sighed," He'll never stop will he?"
"No." Christina mumbled, looking up at Fiona.
Fiona decided to do a little work while Sonic was out. She washed his sheets, as promised, and could easily say that a smelly hedgehog was not something she wanted to be around. Sonic wasn't back by the time Fiona Had finished all of the lovely chores she had assigned herself.
Fiona looked out her window at the sky. The sun was on lower end of it's run. She waited for about an hour, enjoying a nice meal from Christina. Some sausages and cheese.
Then Sonic got back. He was… still ragged. Tired and worn.
"How'd it go?" Fiona asked this time less confident or happy about the sight of the hedgie going down. He saw the dried sausages and his face it up. Sonic seemed to tear the meat to pieces. He drank water, and Christina dared to pour him a glass of white wine. He drank it and gave her a thumbs up.
Fiona found herself frozen at the sight of him. He really needed a break, to let his hair, or quills, down. And Fiona knew just the place.
"Hey, go get cleaned up, we're going out tonight." Fiona commanded at her host. Sonic chewed a little more on the dried meat, and blinked at her.
Fiona kept her gaze, "I'm serious, get ready."
"I'm tired Fiona, can't I just-" Sonic pleaded, sounding really weak, almost childishly outraged.
"Get cleaned up, and get ready!" Fiona commanded a third time.
Sonic slumped down and nodded. Fiona watched him run across the house, and got into his room to take a bath. The water running told Fiona that he was listening to her.
Fiona drank a glass of wine, and knew exactly how she was going to handle Sonic. Once he got out, Fiona could immediately tell a difference. He didn't smell repugnant, and he actually seemed to loosen up.
Sonic smiled softly at her, "Alright, what have you got planned?" he held out his arms, ready for an answer.
Fiona, instead jumped in them, and whispered the place in his ear, before asking, "You up for another long run?"
Sonic looked hesitant, but shook his head, "Why not?"
They zipped out, rushing across the kingdom. Fiona pushed herself into his chest, feeling the wind wrap around them. She lifted her head when they stopped, and Sonic was panting. There it was, the large building that had a few windows with a bright yellow lights.
Fiona climbed out of Sonic's arms, and walked inside, with the hedgehog following behind her, "Hey, We want in."
The clerk, an angry rat growled, "Oh fine, just bring him here why don't you?"
Sonic looked down at himself, "Is there a problem?"
The clerk growled, "Yeah-"
Fiona interjected with a finger, "No, there's no problem, unless you make a problem."
The clerk saw her look of anger, and gulped, "What kind of seat you want?"
"A booth, the works. Remember, you owe me for last time." Fiona smiled smugly.
"That was three year-" The rat tried, but Fiona kept her gaze on him, "Fine, see if I care."
Fiona gave him a flirty smile, before walking up to the door, and gesturing for Sonic to follow her. The hedgehog looked confused as the door opened. The dark room with flashing light greet them, loud music played by the DJ blared overhead as the club's life filled the air.
Fiona and Sonic found their booth, and Sonic clearly looked uncomfortable. The poor squeaky-clean boy. Fiona saw the Hooligans sitting across from them. Bark seemed to be all too happy to point them out. Fiona rolled her eyes as they began to move.
Sonic was too busy looked around the room, trying to make sense of everything. Admittedly, it was probably a bad idea to bring Sonic to a club full of mixed opinioned attendants.
"What do you think you're doing?" Nack growled, glaring at Fiona.
"Just enjoying myself, and bringing a friend. Is that a problem?" Fiona asked, starring him down. The Weasel seemed to get even more frustrated.
"Nack, always a pleasure." Sonic jumped in, actually seeming to be pretty calm about the whole thing.
The Weasel growled as Bean and Bark came up to support their captain, "What are you doing here? We don't come into your happy-go-lucky establishments."
Fiona snorted, opening a hand at the weasel, "As I recall, you have done that more than enough times. And it usually went south for you."
"BECAUSE OF HIM!" Nack shouted, but it was drown out by the techno music.
Fiona stood up straight, and decided she had enough, "Look, you go mind your own business, and I'll mind mine."
"No way, He's not welcome here!" Nack shouted, pointing at Sonic extra hard, as if that was going to magically make Sonic disappear. Sonic was looking at Fiona for approval to probably knock Nack's teeth in. She calmed him down with a simple hand wave.
Fiona then turned back to Nack, "If you make a scene, I'll talk with our friend, and you can explain to Nic why she's not welcome here."
"You're the one who brought him here!" Nack whined, but was clearly not going to do anything.
"Yep, and I found this place. This is my turf." Fiona glared down at the suddenly smaller weasel, "He'll be a good boy, don't you worry. Now get lost." Fiona glared down at the Hooligans.
The went back to their booth, right as the tall, gold robot walked over with it's rigid legs, followed by a fat, silver robot.
"Greetings, sir and Madam, can we interest you in food or drink?" The golden one asked, it's rigid, mechanical voice screeching slightly
"I have beer and liquor for you." The Silver one offered, a similar but slightly deeper voice offered.
Sonic looked at Fiona, but nodded ,"Yeah, I'd like something to eat, can I get a menu-" Sonic was cut off as the golden robot's chest opened up, and a crispy burrito came out, deep fried and everything. The robot set the plate down with a menu, "Please place your order."
Sonic looked at Fiona, who explained, "Oh that's an appetizer."
"I'll have a… I'll take a chilidog I guess." Sonic smiled at the robot, "And… Tequila I guess."
The Silver robot's chest opened up, and a small cup began to fill with the slightly yellow liquid. The Silver bot placed the drink on the table, and turned to Fiona.
"I'll have the same." Fiona smiled, flashing the robots a pointless peace sign.
The bots left them, and Sonic quickly turned to Fiona, "Where are we? What is this place?"
"When Nic and I were out there doing robberies together, Nic and I needed a place to hang out. This place doesn't ask questions, so it became the default place to hang." Fiona smiled, sipping her Tequila, and smiling at Sonic.
Sonic licked the salt off the rim of the glass, before sipping the drink, and cutting into the fried burrito. "So… Should I go?"
"Why would you? I brought you here, and they aren't going to touch you." Fiona smiled at Sonic, watching him stuff his face, "I get first-class treatment thanks to some help I've done for the staff. And before you ask, do you really want to know?"
Sonic swallowed a chunk of his appetizer and shook his head, "I guess not. Why'd you bring me out here?"
Fiona snorted, putting a hand on his shoulder, "To relax. Like, actually relax, not just sit down and sleep."
Sonic smiled and shrugged, "Alright, so I'll get a meal and a drink?"
"And a dance. You and me, on the floor." Fiona pointed to the color changing tiles in the center of the room.
Sonic looked at the tiles, and laughed nervously. Of course, he was silenced by the sight of his food ending up in front of him. Fiona got hers, and the two ate together, Fiona making sure to rub her tail against Sonic to remind him that she existed.
Sonic seemed nervous around her, but Fiona wasn't having excuses. She finished her food, and shot the rest of her drink, licking the salt and glancing at her hedgie. He did the same.
Fiona had waited long enough, "Alright, let's go on the floor."
Sonic hummed to himself, with the crowd almost drowning out his hums.
Fiona rolled her eyes, "Come on, we both know you can dance. I'll freaking guide you if you need me to."
Sonic shifted nervously, but Fiona was already walking on the floor… right as the song changed. The raving lights shifted. A whisper echoed within the room as the lights flashed.
Closer
Fiona's feet hit the floor and she turned around to see her Hedgie still in his booth. She was feeling her drink a little, just enough to make her loose. The lights flashed overhead as the second line came in.
Closer
Fiona wiggled her index finger to gesture for Sonic to come-
Closer
Sonic shook his head, and drank a glass of water that had been brought out.
Turn the lights off in this place, and she shines just like a star
Fiona rolled her eyes and turned around to face the crowd, noticing Nack, who was once again like a young puppy, watching her every move.
And I swear I know her face
Fiona turned around, and saw Sonic, but his eyes weren't looking at her… or rather all of her. He seemed to follow the cream on the tip of her tail.
I just don't know who you are
Fiona dared to wink at the Hedgehog who was clearly struggling with his breath.
Turn the music up in here, I still hear her loud and clear
Fiona used two fingers to order him closer.
Like she's right there in my ear
Sonic struggled for a moment, sitting in his red booth, shifting, perhaps with nervousness or anticipation.
Telling me that she wants to own me
Sonic hesitated as Fiona continued taunts, swaying her hips further to extend her tail's swirls.
To control me
Sonic stood up, and seemed to approach her slowly.
Come closer (Come closer)
Come closer
Sonic got up closer to her, but before he could get on the floor, Fiona turned around, allowing her tail to draw attention to… other features.
And I just can't pull myself away
Sonic stopped for a moment, which made Fiona flash him a smug, approving smile.
Under her spell I can't break
Sonic looked like he wanted to turn around, but his body had other plans.
I just can't stop I just can't stop
Fiona swayed her hips and brought her tail to produce larger swirls in the air.
I just can't stop I just can't stop
Sonic seemed to try to and turn his head, but she had him hypnotized.
And I just can't bring myself no way
She spun around and grabbed his hands and pulled them onto her shoulders.
But I don't want to escape
She felt how rigid they were, so she ran her hands along his side.
I just can't stop I just can't stop
Sonic seemed to slowly warm up to her, growing less rigid with each millisecond.
I just can't stop I just can't stop
Fiona glanced over her shoulder at an offended Nack. The poor boy still couldn't get it through his head: She was way out of his league.
I just can't stop
Sonic's fingers pulled her back to face him, watching him sway softly back and forth.
I can feel her on my skin
Fiona turned around, and pushed her back into his chest, arching her neck to press her lips against his.
I can taste her on my tongue
Sonic went jagged, and his eyes returned with color. His breathing became a little more ragged.
She's the sweetest taste of sin
Fiona pulled his hands to her waist. Sonic slowly rubbed up and down her stomach.
The more I get the more I want
Fiona could tell there was some hesitation, as if he didn't get the hint yet.
She wants to own me
Fiona clasped his hands, trying to reassure him.
Come closer
Fiona started to guide his hands, pulling a little upward.
She says come closer
Fiona kept guiding upward until she gasped from the feeling.
And I just can't pull myself away
He was sure to let her know she had his attention by holding her, squeezing and hugging her.
Under her spell I can't break
Fiona leaned back, hoping to get a kiss they could both enjoy. She leaned closer to his face.
I just can't stop I just can't stop
Suddenly, Sonic stopped everything. He looked guilty, as if he was betraying someone.
I just can't stop I just can't stop
Fiona did not want what she knew was coming.
And I just can't bring myself no way
Sonic pulled away from her, looking at the ground, "I'm sorry."
But I don't want to escape
He walked back to their booth, leaving Fiona with a lot of feelings.
I just can't stop I just can't stop
She had pushed too far, she knew it.
I just can't stop I just can't stop
I just can't stop
Fiona had overestimated her attractiveness, or misread something.
Come Closer Come Closer
Sonic wasn't after her. And in that moment, she had made everything awkward.
Come Closer Come Closer
Fiona walked back to the booth. The mood was over, she was left high and dry. She had done something and broken his trust forever.
Come Closer Come Closer
"Let's go back I guess." Fiona sighed, and Sonic looked at her apologetically. She had lost.
Come Closer
They left, not before taking another swig of something clear and happy. She sat in his arms as Sonic sprinted across the kingdom. Fiona felt the cold wind on her face, and fully understood that she was perfectly… not fine.
It's not fair Fiona growled to herself, snuggling up against the Hedgehog's chest. She'd been the good one, she'd played it peacefully. Fiona had still lost.
Fiona felt Sonic stop, not in the city where she had stayed, but in the woods, to the north of the city. A river flowed to the east, and Fiona saw the large trees all around. She dared to feel a little nervous.
Sonic sighed, looking down at her, "I-I guess I owe you a bit of a… a little explanation."
Of course you do you heart-breaking- "It would be nice." Fiona mused ignoring her screaming head.
Sonic gasped, trying to find the right words, "It's… Sally." Sonic mumbled, setting Fiona down.
Fiona looked at Sonic, slightly confused, "What?" That no good manipulative little- "What does she have to do with…us?"
You better have a good explanation Fiona growled inside her head, feeling very much hurt and angry.
Move the wind whispered in Fiona's ear. She was far too engrossed to even bother though. It was probably the alcohol.
Sonic fiddled with his hands, "She and I… We're uh-"
"You're waiting for her?" Fiona couldn't hide the accusation. She had played the game, played it fairly, and played it exceptionally, and still lost. It was absurd!
Sonic shook his head, "We aren't 'waiting' for anything. It started back… a couple days ago." Sonic looked nervous, before looking at the river. He flopped on his butt, "I… I don't want to mess this up."
Fiona was still recovering from the first blow. She had horribly miscalculated, or maybe she missed something? Still, if Scourge had gone after Alicia while Fiona was with him…
"I… Oh wow, I'm sorry." Fiona put up an embarrassed smile. Screw her, I should I won you over!
Sonic slumped down, "I feel like I played with your heart, I didn't want to." You totally did!
Fiona shook her head, "I should have made a move sooner." Not exactly elegant, but it was the best she could come up with.
Move the wind whispered again. Fiona groaned. The moon light briefly stopped shining as Fiona got ready to endure Sonic's response.
"I… I'm really sorry. I don't want you to hate me. I don't want to hurt yo-" Sonic tried seeming to get a little emotional.
Fiona held up a hand defiantly, "No, Don't apologize. If I was in her shoes, I would want you to do the same thing." That doesn't make it hurt less.
Sonic looked at her guiltily, "I just… I can feel you are upset." Sonic slumped down.
Fiona rolled her eyes, "I'm not upset." I'm Furious!
Move now! The winds demanded
Sonic shook his head, " I can feel your heart. I got the purple emerald." Sonic Sighed. Right, stupid magic system.
Fiona groaned, "Look, I get it. I waited way too long, for the perfect moment to come, and it never came. I get it. I'm not going to run off in the night and go join Scourge if that's what-"
Fiona felt the air move as Sonic tackled her. Fiona was about to get really upset when She saw the black, ornate dagger that hit the dirt.
Fiona rolled out of the way, and cloaked, masked figure worked his way onto the scene. Fiona balled her fists as Sonic got ready to fight, "Alright buddy, who are you?" He was pissed, which was heart warming for Fiona to mean so much to the hedgehog.
The figure was a little short, but probably not weaker than Sonic or Fiona.
The figure remained quiet, before getting low. Fiona didn't need to read minds to know who he was after: her. But why?
The figure drew another ornate knife, this one lined with platinum, and lunged at Fiona, only to be intercepted by Sonic, who curled up and rammed the figure, knocking him aside.
Sonic turned to Fiona, "Get out of here. I'll take care our-" Sonic was suddenly punched down into the dirt. Sonic twisted his leg and swept Fiona's attacker to the ground.
Sonic stood up and Shouted at her once again, "RUN NOW!"
And Fiona did. She left the guy she really wanted to fight her enemy on his own. Even as she ran towards the city, Fiona could hear Sonic's taunted, "Come on you no-good-coward. You worthless little wuss."
The last she heard was a boom from Sonic sprinting. Still, Fiona ran.

So… the dancing scene makes me a little nervous about the rating system. I hope I don't get reported for anything. The Sonig is Closer by Ne-yo.
This is the largest chapter I wrote for this story yet. The next one is going to be even longer.
An assassin now faces Sonic. Who is this mysterious assassin? Why are they attacking Fiona? What is going to happen? That'll be answered next chapter, but I'd love to hear your theories. I already wrote the chapter, mind you, but I still want to hear what you all thought, and maybe a way I could improve, so leave a review.
