Chapter 18 The New Erza.

Mt. Myoboku 7 years later

Erza is meditating in the regions of Mt. Myoboku, it's been 7 years since she started to train her and she has made great progress. It just took longer for her training according to Fuksaku, but this was due to the fact that she never used chakra so her training took longer than most.

Over the years, Erza had grown a bit taller as did her assets but not by much. She also decided to keep her, mainly keeping it shoulder length. She was wearing a black short-sleeve shirt, and black pants, she also adored a long red cloak over her shoulders, with the Fairy Symbol on the back.

"Good, focus," she heard Fukasaku say.

After getting the basics of chakra control down, Erza moved up to using ninjutsu, she learned a good variety of ninjutsu.

During her time she's gotten several calls from the guild over the years asking her if they should participate in the newly made Grand Magic Games, a competition that determines the best wizard guild, Fiore.

Erza simply told them, competition does not determine who is the best guild, just complete jobs as normal. The others agreed, as though they make enough money, they do not get as many jobs as they used to, but they still made lots of money. They are just no longer Number 1 in Fiore. Taking that spot was a guild named Sabertooth.

During this time too, other guilds such as Lamia Scale and Blue Pegasus have been helping gather intel on Tenrou and Natsu, but they found nothing.

Erza tensed at the thought of Natsu, the only thing they ever find out about him are rumors of a pink-haired man who was feared in the world of dark mages, and she learned from Bisca that he was possibly responding to the massacre of Raven Tail, only leaving Makarov's son, Ivan alive.

Fukasaku smiled at her "You had made good progress these past 7 years, I say you're at about the level of a high ranking jonin"

"Thank you Master Fukasaku," Erza bowed.

"Still though there is much you need to learn, you only mastered a small grasp of the Kyuubi power I still find it unlikely you can defeat Natsu,"

Erza nodded "I know, even though I feel stronger I still feel I can't beat him, but that won't stop me from trying,"

Fukasaku smirked "Hmm, you are really gutsy,"

Erza smiled "Well it comes with being a Fairy Tail wizard," she then took out a small book, it was old but was still in good condition. "And I was kind of inspired by this book,"

Fukasaku smirked "Tales of the Utterly Gutsy Ninja, that was a story written by one of my best students, it truly is an inspiring story,"

Erza nodded "Yes, the story of a hero who never gives up on his ideals and quest for peace. Its truly awe-inspiring,"

"I never thought that old story will keep you motivated, even though you're stubborn, to begin with," Fukasaku smiled.

"Yeah," Erza smiled as she flipped through the book "And this hero Naruto, he kind of reminds of me of him,"

"You mean Natsu before his Sharingan awakened," Fukasaku asked, and Erza nodded.

"He was very much like this hero, strong, brave, reckless, stubborn, and inspiring," Erza smiled "I just wish I can see that side of him again,"

Fukasaku looked down, but smirked "The path may be hard, but I know you'll find your way,"

"Thank you, Master Fukasaku," Erza said.

"Now I think it's about time you head home," Fukasaku told her.

Erza was shocked by this "Wait for what,"

"The Great Sage said your friends in the Fairy Sphere will wake up soon," Fukasaku said to her.

Erza was stunned and smiled "Really,"

Fukasaku nodded "It seems the Fairy Sphere will be undone in about a month or so,"

"I see that's great," Erza smiled. "But wait, what about my training…"

"You already learned enough," Fukasaku told her.

"But what about sen.."

"You don't need to learn that just yet, right now you are as strong as you need to be," Fukasaku said.

"The toad is right Erza, it's time we go," Kurama told her.

"Kurama," Erza said to the fox, but she nodded "Okay I'm ready to go,"

Shima hopped out "Wait you're going now, I just made dinner,"

Erza turned purple upon hearing that, "Oh no, I'm fine, Shima-san," 7 years of eating nothing but grub haunted her, but internally she was kind of used to it. Once Erza packed her bags, she was ready to go.

"Okay I'm ready," Erza smiled. "Thank you all, for everything,"

Gamakichi smirked "See ya Erza, call us anytime,"

"I will," Erza said.

"Now be safe on your travels, Erza," Fukasaku said.

Erza bowed "I will Master Fukasaku, thank you,"

Fukasaku smirked, "Remember you can summon us if you need anything," Erza nodded as the toad formed hand signs.

"Goodbye Erza," the group of toads waved goodbye to her, and she did the same as she vanished in a puff of smoke.

"Hey, Old man, you think she's gonna be okay," Gamamkichi asked.

Fukasaku nodded "Why yes, like Naruto-chan and Jiraiya-chan I know she'll be just fine, and she will call us when needed,"

Erza was teleported in a forest area near the port town of Hargeon.

"He couldn't teleport me closer," Erza took notice of her surroundings, she was in the forest path that leads to Hargeon.

"Seems I'm near Hargeon, so it's just a short walk," Erza smiled.

Erza then headed down the path straight to Magnolia.

In the Fairy Tail Guild, things have remained the same for the past 7 years for the guild. It is still a relatively large guild, but they have lacked jobs. However they are still considered one of the top guilds in the country despite not participating in the Grand Magic Games. Things weren't bad though they still all managed to keep the guild hall and made enough money to fund it.

"Hey, guys I heard Erza is coming back," Bisca announced.

"Eh, really," Max said.

"That's great," Warren smiled.

"Isn't that great," Wakaba, now much older and balding, smoked.

"Hmm, you got that right," Macao chugged his beer. "With her coming back, our guild's strength has now tripled," he laughed.

"Erza-nee-chan is coming back," Asuka asked her mother.

Bisca smiled and picked up her daughter "That's right sweetie, this is your first time meeting her that isn't through communication Lacrima,"

This little girl is Asuka, the daughter of the now married Alzack and Bisca. That was not the only change; both Macao and Wakaba have gotten significantly older. Max grew into his looks and became more good-looking. Nab has gained weight and is still looking for a job. Warren has a new hairstyle, which is just a single spike. And Reedus who was painting and he significantly lost weight. Kiana, the guild bartender along with Laki, also grew up to be more mature. Jet and Droy had changed as well, Droy the most gaining more weight. Vjetter the dance did not change much.

Romeo now much older also smiled "Hey if Erza-nee comes back does that mean we finally get to participate in the Grand Magic Games,"

"Are you still on about that Romeo," Warren asked.

"But with Erza we can win the whole thing," Romeo complained.

"Romeo you heard Erza said before, winning that thing doesn't prove anything," Macao told his son.

"But you know we've been losing job request and money," Romeo told his dad and pointed at the request board "Sure we are still respected and complete jobs, but ever since Sabertooth became number one we've been losing request if we don't money we can lose the guildhall,"

"Oh come on, as long as we make enough money we're good right," Wakaba said.

The guild celebrated for a bit more, but it was then the realization sank in.

"OH, GOD! ERZA IS COMING BACK!" Macao yelled.

"IF SHE FINDS OUT THAT WE BEEN GETTING FEWER JOBS AND BEING MORE LAZY SHE'LL KILL US!" Wakaba shouted.

"What the hell do we do," Max shouted.

"We are so dead," Warren cried.

Bisca signed "Don't you think they're overreacting a little,"

"I mean it is Erza-nee after all," Romeo said.

It was then the door to the guildhall was kicked open. And all the members turned to see who it was.

"Well lookie what we have here,"

Most of the guild's eyes narrowed to see who entered. It was a group of five mages.

"Oh, great Twilight Ogre," Everyone signed in disgust.

"We told you before we don't need your damn money," Macao shouted.

"Oh come on, you guys need it right I mean you guys have been losing money since you never participated in the Grand Magic Games," three of the Twilight Orges tried to hit on Laki and Kiana.

"Like we've said for years we don't need your damn money," Wakaba shouted at them, kicking the three hitting on Laki and Kiana. "Get out or else,"

"Or what," the leader glared "You guys are pretty weak and that monster Erza isn't here to protect you this time,"

Romeo glared and created purple fire "We'll kick your asses,"

"If you do anything to us, and she finds out you'll know there'll be hell to pay," Bisca glared.

"Well she ain't here now, is she," the leader laughed. "Come on you do us favors then we give you money,"

"And what kind of favors will that be,"

Everyone in the guild turned to the entrance, Twilight Ogre froze, and Fairy Tail smiled, and see Erza standing at the entrance glaring at Twilight Ogre.

"ERZA" Fairy Tail cheered.

"ERZA!" Twilight Ogre screamed.

Erza glared at Ogre, "It seems you find it fun to assault my guildmates and on the day of my return,"

"Wait we didn't mean to," Ogre cowered.

Erza requipped into her Purgatory armor and had a sadistic smirk, and in that instant, she knocked the would-be attackers out of the guild launching them to the sky.

"AAHHHHH" Ogre screamed as they were sent flying.

"Phew, that takes care of that," Erza signed in relief.

"ERZA!" The members of Fairy Tail all cheered at Erza's return.

"Thank goodness, you're okay," Bisca smiled.

"We missed you," Laki said.

"Seriously, things haven't been the same since you left," Droy said.

"Yeah but we managed," Jet smirked.

"Thank god, you came back now we can have actual leadership," Wakaba smiled.

"HEY!" Macao shouted.

"Welcome home Erza-nee," Romeo smiled.

Erza smiled at everyone all of them showering her "I'm home,"

After everything calmed down, Erza explained what she had learned from the toads.

"Eh, everyone else will be awakened in one month," Wakaba shouted.

"That's amazing," Laki smiled.

"We get to see Levy again," Jet and Droy cheered.

"So then we have to prepare," Macao said.

"I'll contact Blue Pegasus and Lamia Scale see if they can hook us in with a ship," Bisca said, "They've been helpful these past 7 years,"

"Thank you Bisca," Erza smiled.

"So what are you going to do now Erza-nee," Romeo asked.

"Well I'm head home and relax, then go out on a short job its been a while and I want to put my training to the test," Erza answered. "And buy me some cake

It was then Laki, Bisca, and Kiana laughed nervously at what Erza said.

"What," Erza raised an eyebrow.

It was then the girls told Erza the news, making her jump in shock,

"WHAT!" Erza shouted.

"Yeah, sorry to say but you're completely broke," Laki told her.

"We're sorry we had to use some of the leftover money you left to pay your rent for 7 years," Kiana explained.

"And we needed to fund the guild," Bisca said.

"I see," Erza slumped over.

"But don't worry all your stuff is still there," Laki reassured, "you're just broke,"

"Well that's good," Erza signed in relief.

"But you still got makeup for the money we chipped our own after all," Bisca said.

"I will, promise. I'll pay you all back," Erza said. "I'll go on a job once I get some rest,"

After reconnecting with everyone, Erza headed to the dorms and smiled when she laid her old bed. "My old bed, I missed you,"

Erza looked around her room and saw the assortment of armors that decorated the room "It really has been 7 years," she noticed all the dust on the armor.

The Next day

Erza was in front of the request board deciding on a job.

"So what job are you doing Erza," Bisca asked.

"Well there's not a lot to choose from," Erza said seeing there are barely any requests on the board. "I guess this standard dark guild raid is simple enough, good pay too,"

"Okay good luck out there," Bisca said, as Erza was about to leave.

Erza nodded as she left the guildhall dragging her usual big wagon of items.

Kurama signed "do you really need to pack so much, seriously it says its only a few hour walks,"

Erza smiled "Of course, one must always be prepared,"

After a few hours, Erza finally stumbled upon the dark guild's headquarters.

Inside of the dark guild, the members were drinking and screwing around. It was then suddenly the door to their base was kicked open.

"Hey boys," Erza greeted.

"Whos that,"

"Who cares, kill the bitch,"

The dark mages all fired their magic power at Erza, but she easily dodged it.

"Where the hell did she go,"

"Right here," Erza smirked and she knocked one out, the other dark mages charged at her but she perfectly dodged all their attacks and knocked them out. "Hmm Master Fukasaku's training is really paying off,"

Erza easily continued to beat each dark guild member with ease 'This is much easier than before, only wish I get to finish my training,"

"You bitch,"

It was then hundreds of more dark mages appeared.

Erza smirked, "Guess it's time to test out my ninjitsu," she then formed several hand signs at fast speeds.

MULTI-SHADOW CLONE JUTSU

It was then out of a puff of smoke dozens of more Erza's appeared, shocking the dark mages.

"What the hell,"

"There's more of her,"

"Who the hell is she,"

The clones each took down a group of mages, knocking them out with ease and little effort.

Erza smiled "Wow, defeating guys before my training would have taken longer, but I'm making good time,"

"YOU STUPID BITCH!"

One of the dark mages jumped at her about to bring down his sword on her, but like always Erza dodged and in the palm of her hand she formed a sphere of chakra. She smirked at the would-be attacker. Erza then thrust her arm forward.

RASENGAN

The small orb of chakra hit the man in the stomach, sending him flying in the air and knocking him out in an instant.

Once finished Erza took a sigh of relief "Well that's over,"

"You know these guys weren't an actual challenge right?" Kurama told her.

"I know, but I don't think there's anyone at the guild who can challenge me right now, I mean maybe if Mira, Laxus, Gildarts, or Master were here right now," Erza told the fox.

"Well they're coming back soon, so you can ask for a spar," Kurama said.

Erza nodded "Yeah guess so,"

"If anything else, you can also have your Guild participate in that big tournament," Kurama told her.

"You mean the Grand Magic Games," Erza said and Kurama nodded. Erza thought for a moment "Maybe you're right, I mean the Games take place after Master and them get, by then we get a majority of our strongest members back, and our guild needs the money, plus" Erza clenched her fist "I wanna make that Sabertooth guild pay for how they treated our guild.|

Kurama smirked "So I guess you're participating,"

Erza nodded "Yes I am, Once we get Master's approval,"

"So I guess you want to spend more time training," Kurama asked.

Erza nodded "Yes, I am stronger than before and I want to put my power to the test, plus my training is still somewhat incomplete,"

Kurama nodded "Yeah you never did finish that lesson,"

"Well thanks to a certain someone I couldn't," Erza twitched.

"I am not sharing a room with a stupid toad," Kurama shouted.

"I know, I know," Erza signed "Let's turn these guys in, then head home,"

1 Month Later

"Do you guys see anything," Erza called from the ship.

"No, not yet," Bisca looked through the telescope.

"We'll keep looking, we have to keep trying," Jet shouted.

"Wait, I see something," Bisca shouted.

"Where," Erza said, and in the distance they see a young girl standing on the ocean floor. She had blonde hair, she wore a frilly pink robe, and she was barefoot.

"Who's that," Max wondered.

"She's standing on water," Warren pointed out.

The girl once seeing them smiled, she then raised her arms and the ocean started to glow with a golden light. It was then the ocean waves started to move roughly making their ship wobble.

"Woah," Bisca shouted.

"What's going on," Jet questioned.

It was then out of the ocean something started to rise up, making everyone go wide-eyed, it was glowing, and inside it was an island.

Erza started to cry seeing the island "There it is,"

"Is that," Bisca asked.

Erza cried and nodded "Yes it is,"

"That's Tenrou Island,"
