Chapter 39
"Charlie Carrier's forty-five degrees off the port bow." Maria called out over the com before gunfire could be heard her shooting some Hydra agents down as they entered where she was. "Six minutes."
"Hey, Sam, I'm gonna need a ride." Steve called out over the com.
"Roger! Let me know when you're ready."
"I just did!"
"You know, you're a lot heavier than you look."
"I had a big breakfast."
"STEVE!"
Everleigh moved quickly up the stairs. She stopped for a moment to try to get some air into her lungs. "Sam is Steve alright?" She questioned over the com very concerned about losing another person close to her.
"Cap? Cap, come in. Are you okay?" Sam called out trying to put Everleigh into a sense of calm.
"Yeah, I'm here! I'm still on the Helicarrier. Where are you?"
"I'm grounded, the suit's down. Sorry, Cap."
"Don't worry, I got it."
"Falcon?" Maria's voice rang out over the com.
"Yeah?"
"Rumlow's headed for the Council."
"I'm on it."
Everleigh suddenly vanished and easily entered the room keeping herself silent.
"Done." Natasha said as she looked at her mobile device. "And it's trending."
Suddenly Pierce set off the pins he gave to the council members causing it to burn deep into their sternums.
Natasha and Fury pointed their guns to Pierce.
"Unless you want a two inch hole in your sternum, I'd put that gun down."
Natasha didn't back down.
"That was armed the moment you pinned it on."
Fury and Natsha lowered their weapons reluctantly.
"Lieutenant, how much longer?" Pierce asked into his radio.
"Sixty-five seconds to satellite link. Targeting grid engaged. Lowering the weapons array now. We've reached three thousand feet. Sat link coming online now. Deploy algorithm. Algorithm deployed."
"We are going to targets."
"Target saturation reached. All targets assigned. Fire when ready. Firing in, three, two, one. Where are the targets? Where are the targets?"
Pierce watches as the Helicarriers fired on each other. "What a waste."
"Are you still on the fence about Rogers' chances?" Natasha questioned looking at Pierce.
"Time to go, Councilwoman. This way, come on. You're gonna fly me out of here." Pierce started to leave with Natasha.
"You know, there was a time I would have taken a bullet for you."
"You already did. You will again when it's useful."
Just then Natasha activated a small disc that emitted an electric shock through her whole body and disabled the pin.
Pierce tried to move when he felt his feet glued to the floor. He looked down seeing that there were blue swirls of magic.
Fury took the chance and shot Pierce, firing his gun twice. Fury then walked over to Natasha who was lying unconscious on the floor. "Romanoff! Natasha! Natasha, come on!"
Natasha slowly opened her eyes. "Ow. Those really do sting."
Everleigh materialized in front of Pierce.
Pierce looked at her as blood dribbled down his chin. He let out a weak shaky laugh. "You would have made a fine Hydra agent."
Everleigh looked at Pierce with narrowed eyes as she watched him take his final breath. "Never."
"Hail HYDRA."
Everleigh moved back and went to where Natasha was getting up off of the floor.

"Please, tell me you got that chopper in the air!" Sam shouted over the com.
"Sam, where are you?"
"41st floor, north-west corner!"
"We're on it, stay where you are."
"Not an option!" Sam jumped out the window and the chopper barely in time caught him from falling to his death. Sam looked up at them as he panted. "41st floor! 41st!"
"It's not like they put the floor numbers on the outside of the building!" Fury said, looking at Sam.
"He does have a point, Sam. Just relax and take a breather. You're done for now." Everleigh said as she put her hand up to her com. "Hill, where's Steve? You got a location on Rogers?" Everleigh held her breath in hopes that Maria was able to get a location on Steve. She looked at Fury.
"You're going down there to see if you can find him." Fury said knowingly.
"You know out of all of us agents. I'm the fastest with my magic and skill."
Fury nodded his head slowly. "Go ahead."
Everleigh nodded her head and quickly gripped the edge of the helicopter.
"Wait, you're jumping like that?" Sam questioned in shock.
Everleigh let out a soft chuckle and jumped out of the helicopter and her blue magic waves went around her hands lifting her up into the air. She winked and was well on her way.

This is the end of Chapter 39. I hope that you guys enjoyed this chapter. I'm excited to say there is one chapter left of this part of the story, then to the OG chapter which I'm really excited about. Hopefully you guys are feeling the same. Please leave a review and let me know what you think. I know we're all probably missing Loki like crazy. I know I am and I'm actually excited to bring him back very soon. Reviews actually keep me going with my writing. Even though most of these chapters are written well in advance for a good reason due to me resting up from surgery and I wanted to make sure I had enough written so I could heal up without worrying of not having enough chapters to post during this time. I'll update soon with the next chapter. Until next time.
