Chapter 22 Day 1: Hidden
"I never felt power like this before," Mavis shook.
"Yes," Makarov nodded "Even from here I can feel their strength is overwhelming,"
"Wow, their power is so strong," Lucy said.
"Yeah, it's crazy huge," Gray nodded.
"Yes, from what I feel I say they are at least on par with Jura," Lyon's eyes narrowed.
"What seriously," Gray asked.
Jura nodded in confirmation "Yes, even for me they will be difficult opponents,"
Wendy looked at the group and her eyes widened in surprise when she recognized two of them. "Is that,"
The light blue-haired man noticed and Wendy and smirked and patted his tall friend on the back "Hey Juzo, look its the kid from yesterday,"
Juzo looked up and saw Wendy "It seems that it is Sora,"
Sora then waved at Wendy "Hey kid, surprise you're actually competing,"
"Huh, Wendy do you know them," Lucy asked.
"Well kind of, I met the large one and blue-haired one in the gardens before the elimination round," Wendy answered.
"I see," Lucy said.
"But I never thought they were competing too," Wendy said.
"Hey Lyon, do you feel it from the masked one," Gray asked.
"Yeah, even from here I can feel cold coming from him, perhaps an ice wizard," Lyon said.
Erza felt shocked, she never felt something this strong come from another guild before, but she took notice of Hydra's swordswoman, the swordswoman gave Erza a cold look.
"Now that all the teams have gathered, let's explain the rules. As per years before, each day will start off with an event, and then we move on to the battle portion. To explain the battle rules, it will be where two teams will face each other, and send one member to fight on their behalf, but remember on Day 4 we'll switch to tag battles, whoever wins their team gets 10 points and whoever loses gets 0 but if its a draw both teams get 5 points," Chapati explained. "As for event points, 1st will get 10, 2nd 8 points, 3rd 6 points, 4th 4 points, 5th 3 points, 6th 2 points, 7th 1 point and 8th 0 points,"
"So we start off with an event and then end with battle, sounds fun," Gray smirked.
"Now we will begin the first event, each team please send in a representative," Chapati announced.
"I'll go first," Gray volunteered.
"Good luck," Erza said.
"Do your best Gray-san," Wendy smiled.
"If Gray-sama is going then I will too," Juvia cheered.
"I will go as well," Lyon volunteered, seeing Juvia step up.
"I will start first, the singing of birds, It feels pleasant today," Rufus stepped up.
"I'll do my best," Beth said.
"Yeah Wild," Yegar shouted.
"I'll go first," Eve said, with cheers from girls in the crowd.
"May I start us off," the masked man asked.
"You may," the white-haired man answered.
"Hehe, good luck Hitomi-chan," Sora snickered.
"We have our 8 participants, From Fairy Tail A., Gray Fullbuster, Fairy Tail B, Juvia Lockster. Lamia Scales Lyon Vastia, Blue Pegasus Eve, Beth from Mermaid Heel, Yagear from Quatro Cerberus, Rufus Lore of Sabertooth, and Hitomi of Hydra Fang," Chapati announced "Now will everyone else on their team please proceed to their designated balconies,"
"The name of today's game will be Hidden,"
"Hidden?" Gray raised an eyebrow.
"Maybe it's like Hide n Seek," Erza said.
"Then I guess Wendy should have participated since she's so small," Lucy joked.
Wendy blushed and slumped in embarrassment, "I'm not that small,"
"So, my fellow co-host who's your favorite to win today's event," Chapati asked.
"Well the fan-favorite is Saber's Rufus-kun, but I'll be rooting for Fairy Tail," Yajima smiled.
"I'm obviously rooting for Eve," Jenny cheered.
"Gray-sama I will not hold back even against you," Juvia declared.
"Good, Same here," Gray smirked.
"I will also go all out for Juvia," Lyon declared.
"Geh," Juvia jumped.
"Ignore him," Gray signed, but he then turned to Mato "What the heck are you pumpkin man,|
Mato jumped "I'm a pumpkin obviously,"
"Sorry something about you seems off," Gray said, and Juvia nodded in agreement.
"He's probably an employee playing the mascot," Eve explained.
"Yeah it's like that every year," Beth smiled.
"Hmm, as if it matters," Yagear scoffed.
"Hmm, I must commend Fairy Tail, somehow managing to get both their teams a spot in the Games," Rufus smirked "Not that I mind,"
"Well, it's rare two teams of the same guild get to participate," Mato said.
"This makes my memory sing," Rufus said."They think having two teams gives them an advantage but the opposite is true as well,"
"Eh, I'm impressed by what they call the confidence of a king," Gray said.
"Your fellow guildmate can become a weakness, for example, they can be taken hostage and leak information," Rufus smirked."Be sure to keep that in mind,"
"Eh, as if I forget," Gray smirked.
"Now let's Begin, Field Open," Mato shouted.
It was then participants were all engulfed in bright light. And it was then houses and buildings started to appear in the arena
"Woah a city appeared out of nowhere," Elfman said.
"Must be a new kind of illusion magic," Erza told them.
"Still though it's amazing," Lucy said.
Gray looked around at where he was teleported "Looks like they separated us,"
"Everyone was sent to different locations," Juvia said.
"So this is the game huh," Lyon said.
Eve smirked "We're basically playing hide and seek,"
"Where should I hide," Beth wondered.
Yagear ran around the town confused "Seriously, what the hell are we supposed to do, we're all hiding but who the hell is the seeker,"
Hitomi remained silent, hiding in the shadows. Rufus walked through the town with a smirk on his face.
"For this game, all participants are hiders and seekers, the goal is to find the other participants and defeat them in battle, and if you win you get a point but if you lose you lose a point," Chapati explained. "But that's not all,"
Cloned holograms of all the participants appeared throughout the city.
"What the hell," Gray said.
"More illusions," Lyon said.
"You are free to use your magic, however, but be careful you won't know which one of these clones is real," Chapati announced. "And if you attack a clone you will lose a point,"
"So where to suppose to find our opponents in this swarm of fakes, that's easier said than done," Gray signed.
As Gray was calmly thinking things through, Juvia was gushing about seeing clones of Gray everywhere.
"Gray-sama everywhere," Juvia gushed and she immediately hugged one "Gray-sama," but suddenly the clone vanished and Juvia was teleported away.
"OH MY! Juvia attacked a clone and was teleported somewhere else," Chapati shouted."To further explain, if you attack a clone you not only lose a point but teleported and reappear 10 seconds later,"
"Well Juvia is not winning this one," Mira said.
"Seriously if I knew it was like this then I would've gone," Laxus signed.
"That idiot," Gajeel scoffed.
"The time limit is 30 minutes, the team with the most points win, good luck everyone, Begin"
Gray ran through the city completely frustrated "Damn it they always makes things sound so easy, how am I supposed to know which ones are real,"
"This will be difficult for Gray, everyone is blending with the crowd," Lucy said.
"If only he had a good nose like Wendy and them," Elfman shouted.
"If he acts carelessly then he'll lose a point, Gray," Erza said.
On top of the castle, appeared a hooded figure watching the games from afar, his eyes simply narrowing as he watched events unfold.
"Damn it, I haven't found anyone yet,: Gray groaned.
"Nothing has happened yet," Elfman shouted.
"Everyone is just hiding," Wendy said.
"Hmm, it seems no one has scored a point yet," Chapati said. "This will be difficult if they act carelessly they could attack a clone by mistake, what do you think Yajima-san,"
"There are different methods to detect a person, such as feeling for their magic," Yajima answered.
Jenny smiled "I think Eve has a better method than that,"
"Damn no one yet," Gray said, but suddenly he felt the ground shaking.
CARROT MISSILE
Gray quickly dodged the carrots "Carrots?"
"Oh what I missed," Beth said, but it was then she was knocked out by a thorny plant.
"HAHA! Finally, some action," Yagear appeared, but then he was also knocked out by a blast of ice magic sent by Lyon.
"I saw it too, Gray," Lyon smirked.
"Lyon," Gray smirked.
"GRAY-SAMA," Juvia jumped in.
"Juvia," Gray said.
"Panties," Lyon blushed and he was then kicked by Juvia in the face.
"Hey I didn't ask for help," Gray told her.
"I'm not here to help, I'm here to win because Master promised," Juvia said.
"What?" Gray raised an eyebrow.
"He promised if my team wins then the other Fairy Tail team will have to do what we say," Juvia shouted.
"WHAT!" Gray yelled, shocked.
Juvia nodded "It's what Master promised,"
"Hey Gramps, don't make rules like that, if that's true then it means the same if we win right," Gray shouted over the Lacrima vision.
Makarov signed "I guess so,"
"Here I come Gray-sama," Juvia prepared an attack.
Gray smirked "Bring it,"
"Wow, a fight between the two Fairy Tail teams," Chapati shouted.
"You expect them to actually work together for this event," Jenny said.
"Well that's Fairy Tail for ya," Yajima smiled.
WATER SLICER
ICE MAKE LANCE
The two attacks clashed, but Gray's attack easily overpowered Juvia hitting the water mage, making her disappear.
Gray smirked "Yeah got me a point,"
"Should he feel proud of that," Lucy asked "I mean she's in our guild,"
Erza smirked "Please this typical Fairy Tail behavior,"
"If you say," Lucy signed.
It was then in the arena snow started to fall, shocking the other players.
"Snow?" Gray said.
"This is Eve," Jenny smirked.
"I see with the cold, he can differentiate clones and the real things," Yajmia smiled "Quite the strategy,"
"I didn't know how many cold-resistant wizards would be here but it's enough," Eve smirked and he knocked out Yagear and Beth, but he was hit from behind by Lyon.
"Sorry cold doesn't work on me," Lyon told him.
"Obviously," Eve smirked as he vanished.
It was then the event started to turn into an all-out brawl, each team trying to get the upper hand.
"Wow, it's an all-out brawl now, but strangely Saber's Rufus and Hydra's Hitomi haven't gained any points yet," Chapati said.
"This competition is too simple," Rufus said.
"What is that,"
Rufus stood atop a building observing the battle."Everyone's heartbeat, footsteps, and quality of magic, I remember it,"
"How'd he get up there," Lucy said.
"He's wide open," Elfman shouted.
Rufus then pointed his fingers at his temple, and it was then the sky turned dark, and all participants started to glow.
"What the" Gray said.
"The sky," Juvia looked up.
Rufus smirked.
MEMORY MAKE
"Memory make?" Erza raised an eyebrow "molding magic,"
NIGHT OF FALLING STARS
It was then 7 beams of light shot out from the sky, each heading towards the target. One of them hitting Gray directly.
"GAH! What the hell!" Gray screamed.
"What is this," Juvia shouted.
"He hit everyone at once," Erza said.
"Wow, with that Rufus has gained an instant lead of 6 points," Chapati shouted.
"So this is Fiore's strongest Guild Sabertooth," Lucy shook.
"Damn it, I need to pick up the pace," Gray and the other participants started an all-out brawl once again. Rufus even joined to enjoy himself, but none of them can hit them.
"Wow! Looks like everyone but Hydra's Hitomi is fighting right now," Chapati announced.
"I wonder where that young man is," Yajima wondered.
"Oh yeah what about that Hydra guy," Elfman shouted.
"He hasn't made a move yet," Lucy said.
"Is he waiting for the right time like Rufus," Laxus said.
7 of the guilds were all fighting in the center, each one refusing to back down that wasn't until.
"What the hell," Gajeel shouted.
"How did that get there," Lucy shouted.
"Yajima-san is this," Chapati said.
"Hmm it seems Hydra is finally making a move," Yajima nodded.
Hehe, they're trapped now," Sora smirked "No one can escape Hitomi-chan's trap,"
Much to the shock of the crowd, the participants were now trapped in a dome of ice mirrors.
"What the hell is this," Gray shouted.
"Mirrors," Juvia looked around.
"Ice ones to be exact," Lyon pointed out.
"Hey Saber, this is you," Yagear yelled.
Rufus shook his head "No this isn't me,"
"Then who," Eve wondered.
"Maybe it's that another guild," Beth thought.
"Hydra Fang," Gray's eyes narrowed.
"That is correct,"
To everyone besides Hydra's shock Hitomi appeared in all the mirrors.
"You have fallen for my trap," Hitomi told them.
DEMONIC CRYSTAL ICE MIRRORS
Gray smirked "Hey Genius Ice Magic doesn't work on me and Lyon,"
"I'm well aware of that," Hitomi said.
"Get out here and fight us, bastard," Yagear shouted.
It was then at rapid speed Hitomi threw a volley of needles, and he was teleported away.
"What the hell," Gray said.
"He got him in an instant," Juvia said.
Gray and Lyon looked on the ground where Yaegear was.
"Needles," Gray saw the weapon on the ground.
"GAH!"
"AH!"
It was then both Eve and Beth were hit, teleported away.
"Damn it where's he attacking us," Gray shouted.
"I don't know, the reflection of the mirror makes it hard to tell," Juvia said. "GAH!" she screamed as she was suddenly hit.
"JUVIA!" both Gray and Lyon shouted.
"Grrr," Rufus growled as he was hit too was teleported away "Damn he got me too,"
"What the hell is going on," Gray grunted.
"He took out 5 opponents in an instant," Lyon said.
"Whatever this is, it's not ordinary Ice magic, Gray told him and Lyon nodded.
"First, do you know what's going on," Makarov asked.
"From what I see, I think he is in the mirrors," Mavis guessed.
"What! Is that even possible," Levy asked.
"I don't know, this my first time seeing it too," Mavis told them.
"Take this bastard," Gray shouted.
ICE MAKE LANCE
ICE MAKE EAGLE
Both Gray and Lyon fired a barrage of ice attacks at the mirrors, but to their shock, Hitomi vanished.
"Where'd he go," Gray shouted.
But suddenly Hitomi appeared in front of Gray.
"What the,"
"So fast,"
"Weak," Hitomi said, and he struck down both Gray and Lyon.
"Damn it," Gray shouted.
"Time is up. The game hidden is over," Mato announced.
It was then the city vanished leaving only the players on the field, and all eyes were all Hitomi.
"Damn it what was that," Lyon said.
"He was so fast, he took out all of us in an instant," Juvia said.
"How in the hell did he move like that," Gray kept his eyes on him.
"In first place, we have Hydra Fang's Hitomi, followed by Rufus, then Lyon, followed by Eve, Beth, Yagear, Gray, and Juvia," Chapati shouted "Fairy Tail put up a fight, but it seems they came up short,"
"I'm more surprised by Hydra's Hitomi to be able to do something like that," Yajima said.
"Yeah it's kind of scary," Jenny said.
"Haha knew Fairy Tail will get last,"
"You guys suck!"
"Bastards," Elfman growled.
"I'm sorry," Gray looked down.
"Hey don't worry you still got us a point," Lucy tried to cheer him up.
"You did your best that you should be proud of," Erza smirked.
"You were great Gray-san," Wendy smiled.
"Yeah, I'm gonna get some rest," Gray walked past them.
"I'm sorry everyone," Juvia slumped.
"Hey don't sweat it, you were caught off guard," Mira said.
Gray walked down the hall, and in anger punched the wall. "Saber's Molding Wizard, and Hydra's Ice Wizard, I swear I'll get you back for this,"
"Yo congrats Hitomi-chan," Sora smirked, but Hitomi ignored him "So cold,"
"You did good," Juzo told him.
Hitomi just nodded.
"Now we will begin the battles of today, to start us off we have Fairy Tail team A's Lucy Heartfilia versus Mermaid Heel's Yukino Aguria,"
"Looks like I'm up," Lucy smiled.
"Good luck," Erza smirked.
"Do your best Lucy-san," Wendy smiled.
"Show them who's the man," Elfman cheered.
Lucy nodded in determination and headed to the arena.
"Time to show the results of my training,"
Here we are chapter 22 another fat update hope you enjoyed Hidden. What do you all think? Next Chapter we got the battle portions So be ready for that. Had a hard time deciding who Lucy should fight outside of Saber, and Hydra. So I went with Yukino. whose in Mermaid in this story, because I thought it would be more interesting. so we won't get that Kagura vs Yukino fight. Anyway, that's it.
