Chapter 23: Celestial Skies

"For the first battle of the Grand Magic Games, We have Fairy Tail A's Lucy Heartfilia versus Mermaid Heel's Yukino Aguria," Chapati announced.

"Good luck Lucy," Erza smirked.

"Do your best," Wendy cheered.

"Right," Lucy smiled as she walked into the arena, on the other side of the arena was Yukino, a beautiful white-haired woman.

"Wow, she's so pretty," Lucy said.

"I looked forward to facing you Lucy-sama," Yukino bowed.

"Sama," Lucy jumped "it's been a while since someone called me that, I look forward to fighting you two,"

"The match will be 30 minutes, you must knock the other out within that time limit or the match will be a tie," Mato said, and both Lucy and Yukino nodded.

"Yajima-san, which one of these lovely ladies will win this match," Chapati asked.

"Hmm, who knows, let's wait and see," Yajima smiled.

"Now let's begin," Mato cheered, and the gong let off.

Lucy took out one of her eyes.

OPEN GATE OF THE BULL TAURUS

"Mooo!" Taurus jumped and swung his ax at Yukino, but she managed to jump out of the way.

Yukino then took out her own key much to Lucy's shock.

"She's a celestial wizard too," Lucy said shocked.

OPEN GATE OF PAIRED FISH PISCES

Then two giant fish appeared and attacked Taurus.

"FISH!|" Happy drooled.

"She uses the same magic as Lucy," Elfman shouted.

"Wow!" Wendy said.

"Hmm, this could be trouble for Lucy," Makarov thought.

"She has a golden gate key," Lucy took out another key "Try this,"

OPEN GATE OF THE SCORPION SCORPIO

Scorpio appeared and smirked "Let's party,"

SAND BUSTER

Scorpio fired a blast of sand at the twin fish.

In response to Lucy's second summoning, Yukino also took out a second key.

OPEN GATE OF THE SCALES LIBRA

It was then a beautiful woman in a bra appeared holding a scale.

"She can open two gates too," Lucy shouted.

"Libra change balance now," Yukino ordered.

"As wished," Libra obliged.

GRAVITY CHANGE

Lucy, Scorpio, and Taurus felt themselves get pushed down by a powerful force of gravity.

"Gravity magic," Lucy struggled.

"Moo, sorry Lucy," Taurus was forced to return.

"Taurus," she shouted.

"Sorry Luce," Scorpio vanished too.

"Scorpio," she yelled.

"Woah, she managed to beat Taurus and Scorpio," Levy said, shocked.

"Let's finish it, Libra, Pisces," Yukino said.

"Yes, ma'am," Libra nodded.

"Be sure to be gentle," Yukino ordered her spirits to attack.

"Damn, I'm going to lose already," Lucy thought.

"Don't think that Lucy,"

"Huh,"

It was then Libra and Pisces were kicked away, much to Yukino's shock.

Lucy looked up and her eyes widen "Loke,"

Loke smirked "Yo,"

"It's Loke-san," Wendy said.

"That's Leo," Yukino said, shocked.

"I'm surprised to see another beautiful Celestial Wizard, but since this is a battle I'll fight for Lucy's sake," Loke smirked.

"Thank you, Loke," Lucy smiled.

Loke then jumped at Libra, his fist engulfed in light, and he punched the spirit knocking her back, he then kicked Pisces as well.

Loke smirked "Now for the finishing blow,"

REGULUS IMPACT

Loke's powerful fist of light knocked back both Libra, and Pisces forcing them back into the spirit world.

"Yeah, good job Loke," Lucy smiled.

Loke smirked "No problem, since you have the other 10 Celestial Spirit keys, she basically only has the silver ones left,"

"Are you sure," Yukino took out a black key.

Loke went wide-eyed "That's,"

It was then the sky went dark and Yukino raised the black key in the air.

Risley smiled "Yup it's over when Yukino uses that key she basically won,"

"You got this Yukino-cham," the catgirl cheered.

OPEN GATE OF THE SNAKE CHARMERS OPHIUCHUS

Out of the dark sky then appeared a giant black snake.

"What is that, I never heard of this spirit," Lucy shouted.

"It's Ophiuchus, the 13th spirit," Loke told her.

"A 13th spirit," Lucy said, shocked.

"Yeah, but I thought her key was lost, this could be trouble," Loke said

"Ophiuchus, attack," Yukino ordered.

"Lucy, stay behind me," Loke countered the attack with a kick.

"Try as you might, nothing can beat Ophiuchus," Yukino said.

Loke smirked, "Oh really,".

Yukino raised an eyebrow and her eyes then widened and saw behind Loke, were two Lucys, and they were chanting something.

"That's Gemini," Yukino said.

"Do it now!" Loke shouted.

"Right, Lets go Gemini," Lucy shouted.

"Yes, Lucy," Gemini said.

URANO METRIA

It was then Lucy and Gemini fired a blast of 88 constellation spheres, the attack destroying Ophiuchus and hitting Yukino directly.

"AAHH!" Yukino screamed.

"Yukino," Risley shouted.

"Yukino-chan," Beth covered her mouth.

"Oh no," Arana said.

"This match is over, the winner is Fairy Tail A's Lucy Heartfilia," Mato shouted, earning cheers from the crowd.

"Wow, she won,"

"No way,"

"She won," Elfman shouted.

"YEAH! WAY TO GO LUCY!" Fairy tail cheered.

"Woah, the cheerleader won," Gajeel said, surprised.

"You seem shocked, I mean Lucy-san is strong," Juvia smiled.

"She really gave it her all," Mira smiled.

Yukino was on the ground with tears in her eyes "I lost.."

"Yukino," Risley said. "You did your best I'm proud of you,"

Lucy then walked up to Yukino and offered her hand "Hey thanks for the match,"

Yukino was surprised by this, but she took the hand and smiled "Thank you, I enjoyed it as well,"

"With that victory, Lucy has earned her team 10 points," Chapati announced.

Both Lucy and Yukino then returned to their teams.

"You did great Lucy," Erza smirked.

"You were amazing," Wendy cheered.

"Yeah, you showed them you're the man," Elfman shouted.

"Thanks, guys," Lucy smiled.

Yukino went to her team looking down "I'm sorry, I lost,"

It was then Risley walked up and hugged her "Its okay you did your best,"

"You were a great Yukino," Arana smiled.

"We'll be sure to get them next time," Beth said.

"Besides it's just like Millianna said Fairy Tail is strong," Risley smirked "And next time we face them we'll win,"

Yukino wiped her tears and nodded "Right,"

"For match two, we have from the Orga of Sabertooth versus Quatro's Warcry," Chapati shouted.

"Oh yeah, Sabertooth is fighting now,"

"You got it Orga,"

Orga smirked as he walked into the arena boding a lot of confidence, and his opponent a crying man in a dog suit.

"Now let the match begin," Mato said.

And right when he said that, Warcry easily knocked out Warcry with a single punch in the face, shocking the other guilds.

"Woah, he knocked him out in one punch,"

"So awesome,"

Orga's instant win got loud cheers from the crowd, and when it happened he started to sing badly.

"Yeah, we number one, Saber number one,"

"Ow, my ears," Wendy groaned.

"Amazing he took him out in one punch," Elfman said, shocked.

"And he was so fast too," Lucy said.

"What power," Makarov's eyes narrowed.

"Well I guess we move on to match 3, we have Mystogan of Fairy Tail B versus Jura of Lamia," Chapati shouted.

"What Jura is fighting,"

"Already,"

"Thought they save him for last,"

"Jellal is going to fight Jura," Erza said shocked.

"Will he be alright," Lucy asked.

"If it's up against Jura, then he's in trouble," Wendy shivered.

"Good luck out there 'Mystogan'" Mira smiled.

Mystogan nodded "I will achieve our victory,"

Lyon smirked "I feel bad for Juvia's team, if Jura is fighting then it's all over,"

"Why is Jellal fighting?" Ultear shouted.

"Will he be alright," Meredy wondered.

Ultear signed "I hope so, as long as he doesn't do anything stupid,"

Both Mystogan and Jura entered the field.

"I hope Jellal will be alright," Erza said.

"He'll be a good match for Jura, he was a Wizard Saint as well," Makarov puffed. "So don't worry First,"

Mavis just shook anxiously "Sorry but I need to use the bathroom,"

"YOU'RE A GHOST!"

Jura smirked as Mystogan entered the field "I didn't want to compete this year, but the old hag wanted to win, so I obliged. I will not hold back, especially against one of Makarov-dono's."

"Same here," Mystogan nodded.

"Battle Begin,"

Jura summoned three rock pillars and attacked Mystogan. Jellal was launched in the air, and Jura sent more pillars, however, Jellal managed to dodge all of them, and he fired his magic staff at the wizard saint. Jellal continued to dodge Jura's assault as he continued to cast a spell.

FIVE LAYERED MAGIC CIRCLE SACRED SONG

Jellal fired a pillar of magic power directly on Jura, but the sain endured it.

"Hmm, it seems he studied Mystogan's magic," Laxus said.

"Impressive," Mira smiled.

Jura then sent a rock fist at Jellal, knocking the young mage back.

Jellal breathed heavily "I knew beating him with other's magic would be difficult," Jellal's body then shrouded in a golden light.

METEOR

At high speeds, Jellal began to circle around Jura.

"This magic," Jura thought.

Jura quickly sent another rock fist, hitting Jellal once again knocking him out of the air.

Jellal smirked "just in time,"

METEOR

It was seven magic circles that appeared in the air in the formation of the dipper, and it fired hundreds of small light meteors at Jura.

Jura smirked and shielded himself with a rock dome "not bad, but not enough,"

Jellal's eyes narrowed "looks like I have to go all out, forgive me Ultear,"

"Wait he isn't, Ultear saw Jellal taking a familiar stance.

"If he does that, his cover is blown," Meredy shouted.

TRUE HEAVENLY BODY MAGIC SEMA

It was then the sky went dark, shocking everyone.

"The sky," Elfman shouted.

"What's going on," Lucy said.

"what's that idiot doing," Erza thought "his cover will be blown and we'd be disqualified,"

"That dumbass," Ultear shouted.

"What should we do Ul," Meredy asked, it was then Ultear grew a malicious smirk. "Eh,"

"Take this…" Jellal's attack suddenly stopped.

"Huh," Jura raised an eyebrow.

Jellal started to cough repeatedly "hot, hot..is this Meredy," he scratched he was then he felt himself being tickled "hahaha," he laughed uncontrollably

"What the hell," everyone sweatdropped.

"Come on there you go," Ultear smirked, shoving peppers down Meredy's mouth and tickling her.

"Please stop," Meredy struggled using her maguilty sense on Jellal.

"Hahaha," it was then Jellal fainted.

"WHAT THE HELL!" everyone shouted.

"Well, it looks like Jura wins," Chapati shouted. "That's put match three to an end,"

Jellal slowly stood up and walked away in shame and embarrassment.

"What the hell is this guy?"

"Guess we know which Fairy Tail team will come out on top,"

"Wait to go dumbass," Gajeel shouted.

"How embarrassing for you," Mira teased.

"Geez, you're pathetic," Laxus said bluntly.

"Sorry," Jellal was red, "I guess I almost went too far, my cover would have been blown and Fairy Tail would have been disqualified,"

"Well that was an interesting match, let's move on for our final match of the day," Chapati announced.

"In one corner we have Sora of Hydra Fang, versus Blue Pegasus' Ren Akatsuki,"

Sora smirked "Looks like I'm up, wish me luck,"

"Sora, stop goofing around," the white-haired man said.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever you Kimimaro-san," Sora jumped down.

Sora smirked when he faced Ren "Yo, you ready to go Pretty Ikemen-Kun,"

"Yeah, show me what you got," Ren said.

"Match begins"

"Hydra Fang's Sora, I wonder what kind of magic he uses," Lucy wondered.

"If he is as strong as the guy Gray faced, then it could spell trouble," Elfman said.

"Hydra Fang, I have a bad feeling about them," Erza thought.

AERIAL SHOT

Ren used his air magic to fire a bunch of rocks at Sora, but he easily dodged it.

"Hehe," Sora snickered.

Ren then charged at Sora, and the two engaged in hand-to-hand combat. Sora however easily overpowered Trimen.

"Damn it," Ren slid back.

"Come on, Ikemen-Kun," Sora teased "That all you got,"

Ren glared.

AERIAL BOMBER

Ren fired a sphere of compressed air at Sora, but the man once again dodged the attack.

"Got you," Ren smirked.

"Huh," Sora raised an eyebrow.

AERIAL

Ren managed to trap Sora in a small air dome.

'What the hell," Sora said.

"You best give up, every time you talk you lose oxygen," Ren told him.

"Yes, Ren-Kun defeated him," Ichiya posed.

'Yeah, Ren's got this," Eve smiled.

"Once in there it's nearly impossible to get out," Hibiki smirked.

To their and everyone's shock, however, Sora was smirking. It was then air dome started to disappear, appearing to be sucked in by something.

"What the" Ren said.

"Is he?" Gray shouted.

"No way," Lucy went wide-eyed.

To everyone's shock, Sora was breathing in the air dome. "Thanks for that," he smirked.

"He ate the air dome," Elfman said.

"Does that he uses Slayer Magic," Juvia said shocked.

Sora smirked at Ren "My turn," it was then that a pick wind began to surround his arm.

"Pink wind," Erza said.

"He uses Wind magic like Wendy," Lucy shouted.

Sora then jumped at Ren smirking.

SKY DEVIL'S FANG

Sora slashed at Ren with pink wind, sending the Trimen flying.

"Did he say Sky Devil," Lucy shouted.

"So it's not God Slaying or Dragon Slaying," Erza said.

Both Wendy and Chelia are shocked at what they were seeing.

Sora smirked seeing Ren was still conscious, "Now to finish it," he took a deep breath.

SKY DEVIL'S RAGE

Sora fired a powerful pink breath attack at Ren, hitting him directly..

"Thanks for the match, but honestly you weren't much of a challenge. That's to be expected when going against my Sky Devil slaying magic, magic created for the sole purpose of killing demons," Sora said, as Ren fell to the ground unconscious. "Anyone who faces me is a goner,"

"Ren Akatsuki is unable to continue, which means Sora of Hydra Fang is the winner," Mato announced.

"Sky Devil Slaying magic," Wendy shivered.

"Magic created to kill demons," Chelia shook.

"He shares the same kind of Magic as Chelia and Wendy," Lyon said.

"Which makes him a terrifying opponent to face," Jura's eyes narrowed.

"Hydra Fang, they are far different than the other guilds," Mavis said and Makarov nodded in agreement.

"Sabertooth may be the reigning champions, but I fear Hydra is the one who should be feared," Makarov said.

Erza looked up at the Hydra Fang team, "Hydra Fang, who are you,"

On top of the castle, the mysterious hooded figure quickly vanished with the wind.

Here we are chapter 23 day 1 battle basically a short chapter. Obviously saved Sora's fight for the end because it was going to be over quickly. For Lucy vs Yukino, I think it was obvious Lucy was going to win. Sorry for people who thought white-haired guy was disguised Natsu he's not, that's Kimimaro.
