MerendinoEmilano: I'm glad you enjoyed it. The coming chapters will hopefully be good.

Johan had prepared for many aspects of the campaign. He had brought food, water and ammunition for the weapons. His followers had tents, pans and wound treatments. But the one thing Johan had no prepared for was the forsaken heat that flooded the air.
His nose bled from being so dry and hot. The sun felt hot enough to sear flesh from bone. Even as Johan sat next to the rock, partially shaded, the heat still beat upon him violently. His men did not seem to handle the heat effectively either. They looked beat down by the burning that scorched the land.
Jack and Sonar seemed to be fine, only slightly uncomfortable from the scorching, forsaken by God, land. How could it be that the night was so pleasant but the day was so terrible. Johan found his heart enraged by the thought, and the heat that only seemed to intensify his anger.
Johan snarled in frustration. Gewis looked at Johan with a layer of worry and discomfort. At least he understood Johan was frustrated. But Johan would not be frustrated forever. He had the power to change the world, and he would use that power to bend it to his will.
Johan let out a snarl as the air felt cooler. The small clouds appeared overhead, with the air finally cool and soft. The men seemed to relax, Olivar and Stoix closing their eyes as if to savor the cool wind. Jack and Sonar, however, seemed quite drawn back the chilling of the air.
"W-What's happenin'?" Jack growled shuddering.
"He's doing his thing." Gewis groaned, before letting out a breath.
Johan finally looked up and saw the splotches of clouds overhead. The air was cooler, and far more bearable, and his men could now move without becoming exhausted.
"Can ya stop!" Jack grumbled, hugging himself.
Johan almost laughed, "We will take our enemy by storm now. Running will keep you warm." Johan jumped over the rocks and saw the target ravine. The Stones were jagged in such a way that there was room to bring things up and out, but still looked like an ordinary formation.
Johan ran across the field, followed by his men. Stoix and Roht pursued with their rifles drawn. The door seemed to made of iron or steel. It was likely locked and secured with some feeble re-enforcement that would perhaps keep out the Sand Blasters. But they were not Fighting the Sand Blasters.
Johan rammed the steel door, tearing it from its slot, as his men followed into the base. Two yellow rabbits seemed shocked by Johan's presence, but had no time before their life was forfeit by a swipe from his paws.
Johan turned to the doorway as Johan's men came in. The strike was so swift, that perhaps they had gone unseen by the enemy.
A siren started to sound throughout the base, "ATTENTION ALL LEGIONNAIRES, THERE IS A BREACH IN THE BASE, REPEAT THERE IS A BREACH IN THE BASE!"
So they had been detected? So be it.
Johan ran down the hallway as a set of hooded Legionnaires flipped tables to what appeared to be a feasting hall. They fired at Johan as he bounded towards them. Johan had left his armor back at the cave with the belief that the heat would be more bearable. It was not.
Stoix fired a bullet past Johan's shoulder and struck the Legionnaire Johan had targeted. Roht and Touborn came down and flipped a table to provide cover.
Johan was content to Destroy the Legionnaires' quickly assembled defenses by smashing through each post. Johan smashed the first one to see two hooded figures, who seemed to get surprised by Johan's aggression. Their surprise was cut short as Johan smashed the one on the right with his clawed paw, and sank his teeth into the one on the left.
He cried out as Johan slammed him against the roof, breaking most likely breaking his neck with the impact. If he was not dead from that, Johan tightening his jaw and tearing the leg off was more than enough to ensure that the soldier would not rise again.
Johan then turned to the other piece of cover which had three who were firing at Johan. Johan was so large, his presence seemed to demand the focus of his enemies. That was good, it made taking care of Ceawlin's children easier, as he would not have to direct his focus away from destroying the enemies in front.
Johan bounded towards the flipped table as they soldiers began to scream frantically, and fire at him with lasers. Did they not realize that lasers were merely annoying to Johan. No matter, their foolishness was his gain. Johan slammed into the table, which raised it up.
The center legionnaire ducked down his flanked were slammed into the wall with the table. His sudden response was impressive. Johan found the briefest hesitation as the Legionnaire turned to shoot at him. This one could be useful in the future. Johan smacked him down, but pulled the punch so as to not kill the boy.
Then Johan turned to the door next to the table. There was also one mirroring it across the room. The base seemed to be loose, with interconnected hallways allowing for easier travel and emergency escape.
Johan turned to Olivar and Gewis, "Hold this point. Kill all who attempt to escape."
"W-I'm going with you." Gewis growled, holding his arms out in frustration. Johan didn't want any of them escaping.
"I need someone to stand guard. WHERE ARE OUR ALLIES?" Johan shouted. His ten men were the only ones in the base. Were they really going to wait for Johan to win?
The Sonar called out, "We… we're here."
Johan turned and saw her with a copper Garden Defender. All of these Garden Defenders seemed to be different from each other ever so slightly. Perhaps they were not the same creatures.
"Where are the rest of my allies?" Johan knew, it wasn't hard to figure out, but he wanted to see if they were honest enough to admit it.
"Jack's men… are planning, but we were ready and came down." Sonar shifted awkwardly. She had honor at least. "Spike and I can help out where ever you need."
Johan weighed this option with a heavier heart. She was a member of this world, which meant she was likely civilized, and not capable of killing when needed, or perhaps she could? "Do what you will."
Sonar looked at the Garden Defender and they nodded, "We will stick with you. Keep them off your back."
Johan nodded, "Prepare to move!" Johan turned back towards the door. He slammed into it, and knocked the door down.
The hallway on the other side of the door had a wall to Johan's left, but a flimsy railing to his right, along with what appeared to be bridges that crossed over the gaping ravine to the other side of the base. The forward area appeared to lead to another room, but the door was closed. Johan would not be discouraged from a thin piece of metal.
Johan ran forward with the alarms still screaming throughout the base. Johan hear a couple of call outs, "He's right- Oh no, not him!" Rifles fired from behind Johan as he charged forward.
Johan slammed into the room. There was a panel with buttons on it, along with several screens connected to the right wall. There were two hooded men inside, who quickly began to push buttons and scramble.
Johan leapt on them, crushing their chests with his hands. Johan then looked up at the screen, which had several green lines that made boxes and shapes.
Johan's examination was cut short when a door behind him opened and lasers flew towards Johan. They hit the screen and melted chunks of it. Johan flung the chair at one of the hooded warriors who came through the door. It hit the side of the wall, but Johan didn't really care. They couldn't hurt him, at least not much.
Johan bounded towards the door as four men came into the room. A javelin imbedded itself in one of the men. Stoix stood in the doorway, ready to help Johan as rifles fired from outside the room, trading shots with lasers.
Johan slammed into one of the hooded men, picking him up by his legs, and slamming him into the floor. His two remaining allies fired at Johan's face. Johan had the briefest moment where he instinctively covered his eyes, before swinging his body around to slam into his opponent on the right.
Johan then landed and kicked his left leg back, slamming into the chest of the other attacker.
"We need backup now! It's the Wolverine! He's here!" A masked figure scream from inside the room that his friends had come out of.
Johan peaked his head through the door and saw a screen, with a large bird on it. She was like a Dragon-buzzard, but with less imposing head plums or the bright red feathers. "Prepare to evacuate. Take the Egg carrier and leave with everyone you can. Do not engage if you can avoid it! Watch out!"
The masked figure turned around and began to panic, "HE'S HERE!"
Johan snarled and leapt on to the button pad, crushing everything. The Screen went dark, but the masked warrior was dead, so there was no problem.
Johan saw that this room seemed to be an armory, where weapons were stored. Johan saw nothing else except for two doorways with signs over them. Johan walked in only to find a series of sinks and lavatories.
Still, Johan left and went back to outside hallway where his men had taken positions behind pieces of jagged rock and metal bars. They continued to exchange fire.
Johan found Gewis completely ignoring his wishes and firing at the enemy. Johan walked up to him as he took cover, "Why have you not guarded the entrance as I asked?"
"Jack Rabbit decided he'd take care of it. Told us to go on ahead." Gewis grumbled, pulling his bolt back and placing in two clips.
"And you allowed him to?" Johan growled. He had been expecting them to join the fight, not sit back.
"I trust him more back there than out here." Gewis grumbled. This level of distrust was sabotaging their efforts.
Johan snarled, "I NEED MEN IN HERE!" Johan then turned to the bridge that seemed to be made of thin metal that had holes in it. Johan bounded across. He had hoped that the bridge would hold, but unfortunate his size came with a few problems. The bridge creaked as Johan began to receive burns along his shoulder and side.
When Johan was halfway across, the bridge shuddered and strained underneath the weight of a full Saxon warrior. Between the irritating stings and the sound of the bridge Johan saw the need to pick up speed. Johan had accounted for everything, except for one little detail. Two masked men came with red axes and began to pound the base of the bridge.
Johan would have been confused if he didn't understand how soft the bridge was. He quickly bounded forward even faster. Not fast enough, however.
The bridge snapped at the base and swung downwards. Johan's weight probably did little to ease his fall, and instead caused a great impact on the Egg carrier. Johan fell down feeling winded from his impact.
He still needed to get up. How far had he fallen? Johan looked up and saw the clouds overhead, and how small the hole in roofing of base looked. As he looked up, he also saw a smaller bridge, connected to the Egg Carrier. Men were moving overhead.
Johan allowed his eyes to follow the sound. Several men began to run across the smaller bridge. Johan was confused at first before he came to the realization that they were going to take off. If they left, then the Egg Carrier would be one more problem for his men to deal with. Johan would have enjoyed the fight, but he was out to secure the region.
Johan looked around and saw that there were several rockets around. This was apparently a munitions cache. Johan saw a door at the end. Johan burst through the door and ran up the stairs that spiraled up. He kept running on all fours, climbing the stairs.
He could hear the loud boom of a call out, "ALL HANDS, PREPARE FOR LAUNCH. REPEAT ALL HANDS PREPARE FOR LAUNCH. CLEAR THE HANGAR."
Johan slammed through one of the doors, and ran towards where he thought the ship would be. Instead, he had actually ran up several more flights than needed.
"I've got him!" A shout came from Johan's side, and he turned to see a masked warrior, holding up his laser gun. He then dropped as a bullet pierced his skull.
Johna looked up. The shot came from the ravine hole, not from one of his men. No matter, he would track them down later. For now, he needed to stop the launch of the carrier.
Johan ran and slammed into the railing, making it tear open as he jumped onto the ship. His impact left an indent on the roofing as the ship began to rise up the hangar. Johan saw the bridges that connected the upper levels actually retract as if capable of shrinking.
"Don't let it take off!" Sonar's voice called out. Gewis and Sonar ran and jumped over the railing. Johan ran over to catch them as they fell.
"Are you all that is coming?" Johan asked the two.
"I don't know where the other men are, but I'm here." Gewis affirmed, pulling out his rifle.
Sonar nodded, "They'll probably come once it is up." She did not sound confident. That was frustrating.
Johan gazed at the door, which had two parts that connected at the middle, much like his own ship. Johan ran forward and slammed into the door.
The plates fell down as the ship rose higher and higher. Gewis and Sonar ran behind Johan as he bounded down the hallway. Doors were closed but that would not stop Johan.
He slammed through a door to find a fork in the hallways. One path went left and descended, the other went right and rose upwards. Johan growled at Gewis, "Will you handle the left side?"
"I got it." Gewis nodded, and held up his rifle as he walked down the hall.
Sonar called out, "I'll get watch your back. Big Guy doesn't seem like he needs help." She seemed at least smart enough to recognize his strength. Although, he did want his allies to serve a purpose.
Johan ran down the hallway on all fours as gunshots filled the air. He ran up the hallway, and through a door, but instead of finding a command room, Johan almost slammed through railing on the outside.
They were almost level with Johan's soldiers, who trading shots with more Legionnaires who had come out to stop them. Machines had also joined the fray, but Stoix and Touborn seemed to keep them at bay from the hallways.
Johan heard the sound of metal creaking and craning. He looked around and saw the rocket pod turning to face his men. Johan had vowed to protect them, and he was not a liar.
Johan ran along the walkway, before arriving on the deck of the ship. Turrets seemed to turn and fire at him, but Johan could not pay them any mind. He had to focus on keeping his men alive, then he could disarm the ship.
Johan sprinted towards the rocket pod as it finished its turn, before shifting its pitch to line up. Johan decided to play it safe, and slammed into the rocket pod with all his body weight. The metal crumpled, and the rockets' swivel was bent to force the rockets down. Johan then head the creaking from the front of the ship. This thing had several rocket pods, which was annoying.
Johan ran down, but this time decided to smash the annoying turrets that he could along the way. He saw the smaller rocket pod begin to level out, but Johan smashed it as well, before ripping it out and throwing it at one of the turrets on the other side of the ship.
Johan then ran over to smash the turrets that were firing at him. He should have scolded himself. They meant nothing, but were minor annoyances. But they were annoyances nonetheless, and Johan was tired of them. Each one made Johan feel that much better as he crushed them down.
Then Johan finished crushing each of the turrets, and turned towards the large door that was at the center of the deck. He did not know where that door led, but there was no alternative aside from climbing the tower, which seemed unnecessary, and left many of the men below alive.
Johan slammed through the doorway to find a strange blue square at the center of the room. It was filled with water. Johan felt tempted to soak, but he knew there more pressing matters to attend to. He instead ran over to the doors at the end of the room.
He ripped the doors open to find a room full of closed cylinders and another doorway. The cylinders seemed to have pipes that led upward. Johan noticed that the pipes were rather small, so opted to take run towards the door, where Johan was greeted by stairs which led both upward and downward. Johan ran up the stairs, and pulled open the doors.
This was the command room, which Johan noted was full of screens and button boards. The hooded figures turned around and saw Johan. The fight was short, except for two masked warrior who fought surprisingly hard to keep Johan from winning. They struck and fired until Johan knocked them out with a pulled punch. These ones would be useful in the future.
Then Johan gazed at the very complicated controls. Still, Johan needed to learn how to pilot these things anyway. He pulled a lever down, and the ship instituted a warning on the screens. Johan looked up and it appeared that the ship was going to plummet if he did not increase power. Fortunately, that was the intention. He pushed up on the lever slightly, as the ship began to lower down.
Johan saw some of the other screens. There were controls for the rocket pods, which could prove useful in the future. There were also what seemed to be bombs and addition turrets. Johan would have to work on those later. He ran back to the stairs and ran down the stairs. There were several flights the Johan had to go down, but he finally found the door where gun fire was coming from.
Johan wedged the door open and ran inside, to find Sonar and Gewis taking cover behind the doorway, with Sonar firing blindly with a revolver. That was actually a good weapon for the closer quarters. Maybe Johan would have to start making revolvers.
The legionnaires were re-enforced with machines, although the machines were smaller in number. The base was likely not properly supplied for their attack. No matter.
Johan ran towards the machines which now targeted him. He pounced on the machine, crushing it. As he did so, however, a Legionnaire jumped on him. Johan did admire the courage in this young man. Still, Johan needed to end the fight, so he pulled the boy off his band and slammed him into the ground, knocking him out.
Johan wanted to preserve the valiant, but the cowards needed to die. He ran and smashed machine and cowards alike, crushing them as he made his way to alleviate his men. Sonar noticed the lack of fire, and she and Gewis went out of their cover to fire at the enemy, closing the flanks.
Those who tried to surrender were treated as cowards, and crushed under Johan's foot. Still, for every five cowards, there was a valiant one. This was a good stock of men, and should not be wasted for the petty wage of war.
Johan stood over the mass of bodies, and began to pile up the dead on one end, and the living on the other.
"You came down for us." Sonar sounded surprised.
"Yeah, he does that. He's a…different style of commander." Gewis sighed, as if finally relaxing.
"Help me sort the living from the dead." Johan growled.
Sonar seemed surprised, "You are… taking prisoners?"
Gewis seemed surprised now, "You don't?"
"We don't typically have many. Jack doesn't think they deserves it." Sonar grumbled, apparently skeptical.
"I do not take prisoners. I offer the valiant a chance to serve me. It is waste to kill such good men simply because they were on the other side of the war." Johan snarled. He was inclined to agree that cowards deserved death, and that it was a mercy, as the world required courage to face it.
Sonar nodded as the ship shuddered.
"If for nothing else, Prisoners can be slaves or goods to trade. Enemy commanders often want their men back." Johan growled, stepping out into the hangar.
"Yeah…" Sonar nodded slowly, looking down again.
Johan had to jump down before running up the stairs for the second time that day. He felt the burning in his legs, which was a good sign they were being strained.
He continued to rise as the gunfire picked up. More and more shots rang out before Johan reached the top. The Legion had moved out some sort of large laser cannon. It seemed to fire several bursts at once. Johan saw what looked like the Sand Blasters sitting behind cover. He heard the sound of one of his rifles firing, before lasers continued to fly.
Johan charged forward, slamming into the hooded soldier who was firing the cannon, pushing him into the large weapon. Johan did not stop with the soldier dead, but kept pushing. The weapon went off the railing onto the next level.
The enemy Soldiers panicked, firing blindly at Johan, stinging his hide ever so slightly. He swung oneo n his left into the stone wall, before smashing one on his right.
Two more were left, but they were running to the stairs. Johan would not let them escape with their cowardice. He charged them, and slammed the two into the ground. The base had gone silent. Johan sniffed the air.
There was so much blood. His inside his own nose, his enemies, possibly some allies. There was a cheer that erupted from the Sand blasters who had taken cover, "YEAH, YOU ARE AWESOME!"
Johan crawled over to the balcony that he had destroyed. Stoix, Roht and Touborn were fine. Olivar had a light burn on his arm and scratch on his cheek. Still they were alive, and that was enough.
The Sand Blasters continued to cheer at Johan. All he did was kill his enemy, yet they seemed to act as though he had done them a great service. "Thanks for the save, man!"
"You are awesome!"
"Freaking, unbelievable."
Johan walked down the stairs and returned to the center of the Hanger, meeting up with his men.
Jack seemed to come in, as Gewis pushed the prisoners forward. "Ya did alright, not bad." He grumbled, through grit teeth.
Johan paid him no mind, which only seemed to increase his anger. But Johan had more pressing matters to attend to. Stoix and the men watched Johan as the prisoners were led out of the room.
Johan examined them as they starred begrudgingly at him. They passed by with anger at their capture. Those were going to be the finest warriors in his brigade.
Sonar came up to Jack, who looked more and more frustrated as his men gave Johan a respectful nod when they passed, "I've checked the base. We're clear."
"Good, then let's grab what we can and go." Jack growled, switching his face to a smile that Johan did not like, "Yah boys can carry the rockets, right? Y'all are pretty strong by the looks ah things."
Johan growled, "Why would we load the weapons? There is no point. We have the base."
"Maybe, but ah wanna move the rockets to the hideout in case they come knockin'." Jack growled, "Ya want my help, ahma need somethin' in return." He was leveraging support against Johan?
That did not sit well with Johan, but there was some sense in his thought. Johan was strong enough to carry the weapons.
"I will carry them out. Keep the doors prepared." Johan growled as Sonar went up the stairs.
Johan summoned his men and went down to the armory to gather weapons. They picked up a set of rockets, and began to haul them off.
They made it to the bridge when something felt off. Johan snarled, and Roht, Touborn and Stoix looked up. The air made a strange humming down. A burning sound followed, creeping closer. The sky was also dark, and Johan squinted, trying to make use of his eyes.
Then the roof exploded, sending rocks down on them. Johan called out, "Down the stairs, to the Armory!" Johan caught a rock as a wolf tripped, and Johan pushed him along. He was beginning to lose patience with the clumsy nature of these penal soldiers.
They ran as explosions continued to ring out across the base. The rocks collapsed in on the base, and Johan saw them plummet down onto the ship that Johan had landed earlier.
Still, the munitions cache was safe, as they tended to be reenforced. Most leaders did not care for their munitions being lost due to terrible protection. Detonations were particularly problematic.
His men stayed next to the rockets more explosions came above them.
Johan dared to peak out and look at the sky. There was a second carrier, firing its missiles down on the base. Why were they not warned of its approach?
Johan growled as his mind quickly assumed treason. He was growing tired of the schemers. The air began to grow quiet as the volleys of rockets died down, leaving only the ship floating in the air. The ship then raised up and flew out of the ravine.
Johan snarled, "We are leaving, now."
"Cursed, I should have watched our exit." Stoix growled, stopping her foot down. Johan liked her passion, if not to temper it.
"We trusted our friends, and they left us. We should have never come here with you!" Roht growled at Johan, "We should be at home, eating with Da, not dying in the desert!"
Johan growled, at him, "You are not dying here! I vowed you would return, and I am no liar!"
Roht seemed to size up, clearly upset and ready to challenge Johan. He was restrained by his brother, however, "Now hold up, we'll get through this. Calm down."
Johan nodded, "Thank you for your faith. Now, We shall escape this together."
Johan walked out from the armory into the open hangar, which was clear before, but was now littered with rocks. Still, as he walked out, Johan saw the clear way up to the top. Several rocks had fallen and formed a ramp, which led up to the walkway that they had entered the base from.
Johan turned to his men, "Prepare to move, we climb the rocks."
The Johan moved first, checking for loose or deceptive formations that could lead to issues with his men. Johan rose up the formations, catching a few rocks that would have rolled down and hit his soft men. Johan could feel the doubt among them. They were questioning his leadership, which was fair.
He had led them into this desert hell, while not examining his allies closer. They had come to suffer for his negligence. Still, they needed to Trust Johan or they would be stuck down there forever.
As Johan stopped as he was close to the top by a smell. It was under the blood and death. It was…familiar, but he could not place it.
Johan pressed his nose to the ground, and heard a hearty growl from his throat. Johan followed the smell down the rocks, much to his men's confusion.
Gewis called out, "Hey, everything alright?"
Johan was not sure. He sniffed around as the scent grew stronger as he approached the remains of one of the bridges, now crushed under rubble.
Johan crawled over to the pile of rocks, and began to lift. He saw a green, fluffy tail. Johan picked up more rocks, tossing them aside. There she was, Sonar, lying there, face down with her eyes closed. Her leg was cut, and her posture was in a surely uncomfortable position.
Johan heard the sound of boots sliding down stone. And turned to see Gewis looking at her, concerned. Johan had some of that concern. Was she alive? Or did he have an extra meal?
Johan picked her up, and felt the breathing in her body. Johan nodded at Gewis, "She is alive."
He held out his arms, "I'll carry her. Let's get her up there and give her some attention."
Johan frowned at him, "You can not carry her and your equipment. I shall carry her, and we will attend to her later."
"I can carry her." Gewis stated firmly.
Johan was surprised by his will. So he conceded, "Very well."
Gewis demonstrated a surprisingly level of creativity. He took hoods from the enemy and fashioned them into a wrap to Keep Sonar attached to his back. Still, she was a lot more weight than he was able to carry.
Johan climbed up the rocks, and saw Gewis's strain, and his caution as he rose up while the men waited.
Stoix came back from the eating hall, with a frown on her face, "They collapsed the entrance."
Oliver shifted uncomfortably, "So We are going to suffocate down here?"
"Unlikely, We have air moving in and out from the hole in the ravine. It's more likely we'll starve or die of dehydration." The wolf offered.
"You are not helping." Oliver grumbled, balling a fist.
Gewis set Sonar on one of the tables, then took the hood apart, and wrapped her cuts. She had a gash on her forehead, which likely came from falling rocks.
As he moved to attend to her face, Sonar shot up, "WE GOT TO GO!" she shouted, then panted as she realized her surroundings. "You… you all are."
Gewis stepped away from her, "We are still in the base. We are sort of stuck down here."
Sonar slumped down, "Darn. I was too late."
"You came to warn us?" Johan growled, cocking his head.
"Jack said if I wanted I could. He told his men to pull out, not ready to risk everyone for a few." She seemed to defend Jack's actions.
Johan understood, though. Allies were had a duty to their own men first. Still, Johan would have come back for him, and that sat ill.
"Well, You shouldn't have come back. Now you get to die here with us." Gewis muttered.
"Gewis, listen to me well. None of you will die here. I have vowed to return you all to the surface and so I shall." Johan stomped his foot. Their lack of faith was frustrating beyond the point of reasoning.
"I don't need promises, I need some actual help!" Gewis groaned, frustratedly pulling his ears.
Johan was frustrated, but he understood. Johan walked back over to the walk way, looking down at the destroyed base, the crushed carrier, the crumbled balconies.
"So… Gewis… that's a weird name." Sonar groaned, from inside.
"My name is Lewis, but he just decided to call me Gewis. I guess he gives you a new name if he likes you." Gewis mumbled, his joking tone seeming to try and lighten the mood. Johan was not keen on their talks while he looked for a way out.
"…I like Gewis better. It has some flavor." Sonar groaned, as if stretching.
Johan allowed his gaze to flow, where he landed on the Carrier. It wasn't completely covered, and there was a rocket pod… still operational. Johan's eyes gazed to the end of the ravine, and back to the pile of rocks that led up to the walkway.
"Sonar, can you fire weapons from the carriers?" Johan called out.
Sonar stepped out into the walkway, "I mean…maybe? I know a little bit about weaponry."
"Then you can learn to fire them?" Johan asked.
Sonar nodded, blinking a couple times, "Y-Yeah I guess."
Johan called out to his men, "Get ready, We are leaving!"
His men stood in attention. His voice seemed to inspire them to get moving. They went down the rocks and back to the armory.
Johan and the men moved the rockets to the end of the ravine, the pile of explosives was hopefully enough.
Johan returned to the ship, and Sonar looked at the rocket system, "Hold up, I'll line it up."
The rocket system creaked as it lined up with the ravine. "Ready to fire!" She looked at Johan for approval.
Johan nodded, and she pulled her finger over the glowing button to fire the weapon. She shook her head and closed her eyes hard.
Gewis looked at her nervously, "Everything alright?"
Sonar nodded, "Yeah, just a little woozy." She pressed the button, and the rockets flew from the pod. They struck the base of the ravine, and the entire system rumbled as a chain of explosions shook the ravine and filled it with dust. When the dust cleared, there was a ramp, going straight up into the cloudy sky.
It was time for Johan and his men to return their allies.

Alright, so these next chapters are going to be very Johan heavy. Sonic and Fiona are licking their wounds, so Johan is the active force for this arc.
Leave a review and tell me what you think, whether it's a theory or a criticism. I welcome it all.
