Chapter 30 The Final Day Begins

"Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, and Welcome to the Final Day of the Grand Magic Games!" Chapati shouted, earning loud cheers from the crowd. "And co-hosting with me today are Yajima-san and our mascot Mato!"
Yajima smiled "I'm looking forward today,"
"It's going to be a real all-out brawl," Mato cheered.
"And like it or not, only one guild will make it to the top!" Chapati announced.
"And it looks like all the teams are raring to go!" Mato jumped.
"Currently in 8th place are the wild dogs now a puppy,, its Quatro Puppy!"
"WILD!" Bacchus and his crew shouted as they entered.
"Despite being trounced for most of the tournament they're raring to go, never underestimate the drunken hawk, Bacchus," Yajima said.
"In 7th place, being led by the master of parfum Ichiya, it's Blue Pegasus!"
Blue Pegasus then entered, the Trimen and Jenny all being led by Ichiya.
"And in 6th place, is the guild of beauties, its Mermaid Heel!
Yukino, Milianna, and their guild all looked ready to smile.
"Let's do our best Yukino-chan," Millianna smiled.
Yukino smiled and nodded "Yes, let's win this,"
"Hmm," Meredy tilted her head.
"What's wrong, Meredy," Ultear asked.
"It's just that Yukino girl looks kind of familiar like she looks similar to someone we know," Meredy answered.
"In 5th place, a team that is a favorite to win it all with the power of wizard saint Jura, its Lamia Scale,"
Lamia Scale then entered the field being led by Lyon, and Jura.
"But Jura is not the only one to worry about from Lamia, will Fairy Tail A's Gray Fullbuster be able to defeat Lamia's Lyon Vastia who rivals him,"
"And don't forget God Slayer Chelia,"
"They're all pretty powerful, they'll be a tough opponent to beat," Yajima smiled.
"Coming in 4th place it's one of half of the one in two teams, its Fairy Tail B"
In a burst of lighting, Laxus, Gajeel, Mira, Juvia, and Cana all appeared.
"Gihihi, Let's do this," Gajeel smirked.
"It's time to show we're the Fairy Tail team to keep your eyes on," Cana said.
"Let's do our best," Mira smiled.
Laxus smirked "Besides even if we and the other team are the ones remaining we still win,"
"I really wish I was on Gray-sama's team," Juvia cried.
"In 3rd place, are our reigning champs who have to seem to take a fall this year, but will they claw their way back to the top Sabertooth,"
Sabertooth then entered the arena, but the crowd felt something different from them. They were not full of confidence, but they felt serious.
"Hey the aura around them is different today,"
"Yeah, usually they're all pretty cocky,"
"Hey, one of their cats is missing,"
"Oh yeah, the red one in the vest right? Its usually cheering alongside the one in the frog suit,"
As the Sabertooth walked into the arena, Sting closed his eyes and thought about yesterday's events.
Flashback
"Sting, what did you do?" Rogue is shocked after witnessing Sting kill Jiemma after the latter killed Lector.
Sting breathed heavily tears in his eyes.
Minerva smirked "That was brilliant Sting, you've shown a great increase in your power,"
"M'lady," Sting cried "But.."
"Don't worry, Lector is alive, I teleported him away," Minerva told him.
"What really, M'lady, please return him," Sting got on his knees.
"No," she coldly answered.
"What," Sting cried "But m'lady,"
"You'll only get him back when we win the Games understand,"
Flashback over
"Don't worry Lector, I'll save you," Sting declared to himself.
"In 2nd place, it's the other half of the one in two teams, part of the guild that's climbing its way back to the top it's Fairy Tail A!"
Erza, Gray, Lucy, Wendy, and Elfman all entered the arena, and they appeared ready for battle. The two Fairy Tail teams stared each other down, both of them ready to fight each other if needed.
"Good luck everyone!" Lisanna cheered.
"Wendy! Don't push yourself too hard!" Carla shouted.
"Win this Gajeel!" Levy yelled.
"Go show everyone we're number 1!" Makarov shouted.
"And now ladies and gentlemen for the guild that's in the first place," Chapati began slowly and cheers from the crowd grew louder. "This guild puts everyone in awe at their sheer power, Ladies and Gentlemen HYDRA FANG!"
Out of the tunnel then appeared Natsu leading his team to the arena. Everyone feels the sheer power coming from them.
"Even after days of seeing it, I still shake when I feel their power," Macao said.
"It really shows how scary they are," Wakaba said.
"They've all done well to make it up to this point," Mavis smiled.
Makarov nodded "Yes, but I know the real battle is about to begin," his eyes focused on Natsu "Natsu,"
"Natsu," Happy cried.
"Natsu," Erza said sadly when she saw him enter.
"Yes, Hydra Fang is the main threat but they're not the only ones we have to beat," Mavis said.
"Yes, but I have faith my kids will win this, we have to leave everything to them," Makarov told her.
Mavis nodded "I already told all of them the strategy, they will win I know it,"
"Oh look, a lot of people are eyeing us," Sora smirked.
"It's to be expected, we're in the lead," Juzo said.
"Yeah, but they all seem kind of focused on Natsu, I mean he was once an infamous and heroic mage but now he is hanging with us," Sora shrugged.
"Be quiet, Sora," Natsu ordered.
The entire arena then started emitting a glow.
"Oh this again," Gray signed.
"Are they transporting us again," Wendy said.
"I hate this!" Gajeel complained.
It was then all of the teams were gone, and they were all transported to different areas in Crocus.
"Now let's explain the rules of the final event," Chapati said. "The entire city of Crocus will be the battlefield, you are free to use your magic as you wish, your whole team will participate, and whenever members of opposite teams encounter each other a battle will for sure ensues, and whoever wins that battle that person's team gets 1 point, and each team is to assign a leader and if the leader is defeated then the person's team gets 5 points, which means each team gets a chance of 45 points and the possibility of winning,"
"This will be interesting, I wonder how each team will approach this challenge," Yajima nodded.
"No one knows who will win," Mato smiled. "Will they split up or stay together,"
"You guys understand what we have to do right," Erza asked.
Gray nodded "Yeah if the First's plan works,"
"It will, I know we can win this," Lucy smiled.
"Let's win, then we can get to this Natsu-niisan," Wendy said determinedly.
"Yeah, let's show them we're real mem," Elfman shouted.
"Remember, we're not just winning this for us," Mira said.
Juvia nodded "We have to fight for everyone who has been waiting for us,"
"Then we went through enough these past 7 years, we have to make it up for them," Cana smirked.
"And one guy we have to knock some sense into," Gajesl smirked.
"Let's win this and have that guy open his damn eyes," Laxus said.
"NOW LET THE FINAL DAY OF THE GRAND MAGIC GAMES BEGIN!
Fireworks went off, and each team dispersed to look for opponents.
"The final event has finally begun," Chapati smiled,
Yajima nodded "Yes, it seems teams are either fighting individually or working in teams of 2 or 3,"
Meanwhile, with Hydra Fang, Natsu was sitting on top of a roof looking out in the distance.
"Hey you know those Fairy Tail guys, we'll come after you right," Sora said.
"Why does it matter," Natsu answered. "They have better things to do than to waste their time,"
"What should we do Natsu-san," Kagura asked.
"Do as you wish," Natsu simply said. "
"I see you just want us to do what we want," Sora smirked "Well if that's the case I'm out of here," he walked off.
"Kagura, I know what you want to do," Natsu said, seeing the anxious swordswoman.
"Huh," Kagura looked up,
"If you want to fight her do as you wish I won't stop you," Natsu said.
"Understood, then I'm off," Kagura went off.
"Hitomi, Juzo, what will you two do," Natsu asked.
"I will scout and keep an eye out, If I encounter someone I will eliminate them," Hitomi bowed "I will trust your judgment Natsu-san," and Hitomi vanished.
And you Juzo," Natsu looked to giant,
"I wish to remain here to protect you, but I know you can handle yourself, so I will off on my own," Juzo bowed and left on his own.
As his team left Natsu continued to look out towards the distance with a bored face.
"Oh, it seems Hydra Fang are each going off on their own," Chapati said.
"As is Sabertooth," Yajima said. "Well each individual member is powerful,"
"Are you guys ready," Erza asked her team and they all nodded.
"Alright Let's go!"
"Oh it looks like Fairy Tail is ready to go," Chapati shouted.
As Erza and her team ran through the city, she formed hand signs.
KAGE BUUSHIN NO JUTSU
It was then out of the smoke, 4 other Erza appeared.
"Woah is that cloning technique she showed on day 3," Happy shouted.
Mavis smiled and nodded "Yes with that we will be able to scout and take out more enemies at once if her clones go to the designated area they will find 4 people,"
As Mavis said, one of Erza's clones manages to find Trimen and Jenny of Blue Pegasus.
"Woah! Erza!" Jenny jumped.
"She's here already," Eve said.
"Shit, get back," Ren told them.
Erza smiled "it's exactly how 1st said,"
It was then in an instant Erza defeated Jenny and the 2 Trimen.
"Ren, Eve, Jenny!" Hibiki shouted."She ambushed us,"
"OH! And like that Erza earns her team 4 points!" Chapati shouted.
Hibiki then started to run "damn is there someone in Fairy Tail who surpasses my Archive Magic,"
"You got that right," Gray cornered him.
"What other one!" Hibiki jumped, but he was frozen by Gray.
"Woah and Gray defeats Hibiki giving Fairy Tail A another point!"
"Sorry Ichiya-san," Hibiki shivered out.
"Don't worry men I'll…." but Ichiya was punched in the face by Gajeel.
"Gotcha bitch," Gajeel snickered.
"Woah and a sneak attack from Gajeel," Chapati shouted. "And that earns Fairy Tail B 5 points,"
"Not only that, Blue Pegasus lost all of its members and is out," Yajima announced.
"Oh my," Bob signed "never thought we be out this early,"
"Wow Er-chan and her friends are going all out, which means we should go all out too, Yukino-chan," Millianna cheered.
Yukino nodded "Right let's go,"
OPEN LIBRA
"Damn a spirit," Nobarly shouted.
"Don't worry man, we got this," Rocker said.
GRAVITY CHANGE
It was then due to the change in gravity both Rocker and Nobarly were forced to the ground.
"Now, Millianna," Yukino said.
"Got it," Millianna then clawed at the two Quatro mages.
"Oh and Rocker and Nobraly are down," Chapati shouted. "Giving Mermaid 2 points,"
"Mermaid also seems to be having trouble too, however," Yajima pointed out. "It seems Risley, Arana, and Beth were defeated by Fairy Tail B's Mirajane,"
"Damn guess that's why they call her Demon Mirajane," Risley groaned.
"We were completely overpowered," Arana said.
"Aw man, looks like everything is up to Yuki and Milli," Beth cried.
"Phew, you girls were great," Mira smiled. "I hope the others are doing okay,"
Rufus who was top of roof, smirked "Fairy Tail, I memorized all your positions now, You will all be eliminated,"
MEMORY MAKE NIGHT OF FALLING STAR
It was then Rufus shot 14 beams of light, all of them aiming at everyone in Fairy Tail.
"Look," Carla shouted.
"It's the same as Day 1," Happy said.
"They're locked on Erza's clones too," Pantherlliy pointed.
"Don't worry, I prepared them for this. They should be able to dodge," Mavis said. "Once they see the light, move in about 2 seconds,"
As ordered the Fairy Tail mages and Erza's clones dodged the beams avoiding a single scratch.
"You think I'd fall or that again, you bastard," Gray shouted.
"Laxus, because the spell is lighting in nature you're the only one who can endure it," Mavis said.
Seeing the attack Laxus simply took it full force not feeling anything "Is that it, it barely even tickles,"
"What! He withstood it," Rufus shouted.
"Because the attack failed, Rufus will be agitated," Mavis said. "Because of that there will be a 68% chance he will confront us, and there is a 32% chance he will remain in his current location, though either outcome doesn't affect the strategy,"
"Now everyone move into your designated checkpoints," Mavis ordered telepathically to the teams.
Makarov smiled "As expected of the Fairy Tactician,"
"OH, and Bacchus is out! Earning Sabertooth 5 points!" Chapati shouted.
Mavis' eyes narrowed seeing Sting defeat Bacchus in an instant.
"Damn what should we do," Yuka grunted.
"We can take him," Toby said, but he was cut short, as he was attacked in the back by Kagura.
"Oh and Kagura took out Yuka and Toby earning Hydra Fang 2 points keeping them in the league,"
Once Kagura struck down Yuka and Toby, she was prepared to fight Sting, but to her surprise, he fled "He's gone, not that it matters," as she turned and walked away
"Don't worry guys, we'll avenge you," Yegear and Semes shouted, but the 2 were swiftly knocked out by Jura.
Jura smiled "Sorry you 2 were wide open,"
"And Jura defeats 2 of Quatro's in an instant, as expected from a Wizard Saint,"
"With both Quatro and Pegasus is out that leaves with us 6 teams left,"
"Hey First, did you think of any strategies to beat not just Jura, and Hydra Fang," Levy asked.
Mavis nodded "I have but Jura is someone one person can't beat without a proper plan, as for Hydra Fang its difficult to say, there are too many unknown factors with them,"
"So I guess the best strategy is to face them when they're tired out," Levy said.
"Hey look, it seems Gray is going to throw down with someone,"
Gray took a breath as he walked into the library of Crocus and in the main hall, he was greeted by Rufus.
"I was told you'd be here," Gray told him. "As expected of 1st she was right on the mark,"
Rufus smirked" and looked up from his book "I don't remember you too well, would you please remind me,"
Gray scoffed and smirked "Don't bother racking your head about it, I'm here to kick your ass. That's all you need to remember,"

Kagura: 19 (I know canonically she's 23 just made her younger because when I introduced her I put her around the same age as Wendy at the time, which took place 5 years ago in the timeline, and I said in that chapter that 2 years have passed since Tenrou, so she would be 13-14)
