Chapter 31 An All Out Brawl
Night Before the Final Day, Honey Bone Inn
"So is everyone here," Mavis looked around.
The members of the two Fairy Tail teams and Makarov all nodded.
"Good, now we can begin to formulate a battle plan," Mavis smiled.
"A battle plan?" Wendy tilted her head.
"The First is good at strategies?" Gray raised an eyebrow.
Makarov nodded "Yes, during the First time as Master she was known as the Fairy Tactician, here strategies led to many victories in past wars,"
"I see, so you're going to show us a strategy that guarantees our victory," Laxus said.
"That's so Manly," Elfman shouted.
Mavis nodded, "That's right, now lets begin," with her magic she displayed a board with images of the other guild teams and their members, they were drawn in cute childlike cartoonish ways. "Now you know the most obvious threat we have to deal with,"
"Hydra Fang," Gajeel said.
"Natsu's team," Erza looked down.
Mavis nodded "Yes, out of all the guilds they're clearly the most powerful, though obviously, Natsu is their most powerful member, still taking down the other 4 would still be trouble,"
"And not just them, we have Sabertooth to worry about," Erza said.
"Don't forget Lamia, they have Jura and Lyon," Lucy added.
"Yes I know, though first I think we should deal with Saber's Rufus first," Mavis said/
"I'll do it," Gray stood up "I need some payback,"
Mavis looked down "I'm sorry, but you and Rufus are not a good match up,"
"I DON'T CARE!" Gray shouted.
"Gray," Erza said, surprised.
"Gray-sama," Juvia said.
"I don't care if we aren't a good matchup, I won't lose to him again, let me redeem myself," Gray told her.
"Let me fight as a Fairy Tail Wizard,"

"Feelings can sometimes conquer calculations, now let's see the power of your feelings,"
Gray put his fist in his open-plan "Let's go Bastard,"
Rufus just smirked.
ICE MAKE FREEZE LANCE
Gray fired dozens of ice lances at Rufus, but the Saber mage dodged it,
"Memorized," Rufus smirked.
"You won't get away that easily," Gray shouted.
ICE MAKE IMPACT
Gray created a giant ice drill, but once again Rufus dodged it.
"Memorized," Rufus said again.
"What the hell are you babbling about," Gray said.
"I can memorize all the magic I see, and use those memories as a base to mold new magic," Rufus answered.
"The hell does that mean," Gray asked.
"'I'll show you," Rufus smirked "By combing your ice magic, and Orga's lighting magic,"
MEMORY MAKE: FROZEN BLACK LIGHTING SWORD
It was then Gray was hit by dozens of ice spikes combined with black-lighting.
"GAH!" Gray screamed as he was hit.
"This guy can make original magic," Max shouted.
"Is that Memory makes power," Levy said.
SHRINE OF RAGING WIND FANG
It was then Rufus summoned dozens of mini twisters.
ICE MAKE SHIELD
Gray created an ice shield to defend himself from the attack, but Rufus smirked.
"Memorized, and then erased," Rufus declared, and to Gray's shock his shield vanished in thin air.
"What the," Gray shouted as he was hit by the twisters.
"This guy can make him forget magic too," Levy said, shocked.
"That means the odds are against him, that's unfair," Max grunted.
"Gray-sama," Juvia said as she watched from a nearby lacrima vision.
"Damn it," Gray breathed heavily as he stood up.
"What's wrong, I thought you were going to beat me," Rufus smirked, he then noticed a book on the ground "Oh what's this, interesting, i found some good things here,"
"Bastard, this isn't the time for reading," Gray said to him.
"Memorized." Rufus dropped the books.
"Don't tell me this guy memorized magic from books too," Max said.
"That could be bad," Warren nodded.
"Since you have been proven to be good entertainment I will let you have a taste of ancient magic," Rufus said, "However I can put a different spin on magic I memorized and combine it with other kinds of magic to make something completely new,"
"He can do something like that?" Makarov said, shocked.
"I never thought he'd be capable of something like that!" Mavis said equally shocked.
LINE OF ANCIENT MASTER SWORDSMAN
Rufus then summoned dozens of ice soldiers "Feast your eyes pm ancient magic, I must thank you this"
"Now dance," Rufus ordered the ice soldiers.
Gray's eyes narrowed. "Go to hell with your second hand knowledge," he then fired several ice blades but only managed to destroy a few of the ice soldiers. He was knocked down but got up again "That was nothing,"
Rufus smirked "How about this,"
BLADE OF FLASHING LIGHTING
Rufus summoned a giant man from a storm cloud and it struck Gray with its weapon, sending the ice mage flying to a nearby bookshelf.
"Oh my goodness, Gray is getting completely overwhelmed,"
"Gray," Lisanna shook.
"Come on Gray, you can do it," Happy cheered.
"Gray-sama," Juvia cried "If only I could help you, but," she remembers Gray's words "I have to believe in you, I need to follow First's plan,"
Hitomi was also silently watching the match "Gray Fullbuster,"
"Hmm, maybe I'll try this one," Rufus smirked.
"Hey bastard, we're in a library and when you're done with your books, you're supposed to put them back properly," Gray shouted.
ICE MAKE WALL
Gray created a large ice wall surrounding the two, cutting off access to other books in the library. "Now you can\'t get anymore,"
"Too bad, you see I've already memorized all of them," Rufus declared.
COLORFUL SLASHING ATTACK FLAMES
Gray was then hit by a wave of red fire and lighting, shocking and burning him. Gray was knocked into a bookshelf.
"This battle is a requiem that I sing to you, you cannot beat me," Rufus declared.
"We'll see about that," Gray said.
Gray quickly jumped back on top of the higher floor.
ICE MAKE ARROW
Gray fired several ice arrows at Rufu, but the man once again gracefully dodged all of it.
"Damn it, how can Gray beat this guy," Max said.
"First, did you give Gray a strategy," Makarov asked.
Mavis shook her head "No, he wouldn't listen and no matter what he and Gray are not a good matchup, but I chose to believe in Gray's feelings,"
"Recklessly attacking won't work," Rufus told Gray.
"Oh yeah, how about this," Gray suddenly appeared in front of Rufus.
"What" Rufus was then punched directly in the face by Gray.
"YEAH!" Fairy Tail shouted.
"Sock him good Gray," Happy cheered.
"He got a good hit in," Pantherlilly smirked.
"Looks like he's ready to counterattack," Carla smirked.
"Been wanting to do that since day 1," Gray said.
"Hmm, a lucky hit Fairy Tail is always full of surprises, but," Rufus stood up "Remember this, you can never beat me,"
"Oh Yeah!" Gray ripped his shirt off.
"OH, HE STRIPPED! LOOKS LIKE GRAY IS GETTING SERIOUS!"
"Oh Gray-sama," Juvia cooed.
Sora sweatdropped as he watched the big Lacrima Vision. "Wow, Natsu was serious about that,"
Gray pointed at his guild mark with his thumb "You see this, it means I'm a Fairy Tail Wizard, and I don't lose to the same guy twice,"
"Bold word, what kind of plan do you have against me," Rufus smirked.
Gray slammed his fist in his open palm "This,"
ICE MAKE UNLIMITED CHAOTIC DANCE
"It doesn't matter what you.." Rufus confidence started to fade as Gray's spell began to take shape "What is this,"
Hundreds of ice-made weapons each of varying designs swirled around Gray, their numbers increasing each passing second.
"Woah he can do that much," Max said shocked.
"I get it, if he does that much molding magic at one time," Happy smiled.
"I can't memorize it," Rufus said, shocked.
"You got that right," Gray whipped his arms around and fired the swirl of weapons at Rufus.
Rufus slowly got back up "Not bad, but that won't work" he then hit Gray with his burning land spell.
Gray smirked "Is that it, his flames are way hotter than this," he then charged through the charged at Rufus "This is the end you masked bastard,"
ICE BRINGER
Gray struck Rufus down with 2 ice swords sending the man into a bookshelf unconscious and to the ground. As an added exclamation of victory Gray grabbed Rufus' hat and placed it on his head.
"THE WINNER IS GRAY FULLBUSTER! FAIRY TAIL A GETS 1 POINT!"
"HE DID IT!" Fairy tail cheered.
Mavis smiled "The power of feelings is really amazing,"
"One down," Gray said, "Now it's Hydra's guy's turn," and he walked out of the library.
Hitomi who watched the match smirked under his mask "Gray Fullbuster I'll be waiting,"
Erza smirked "Good job Gray, now I hope the others are doing well," she then stopped watching another Lacrima Vision this time it was match between Lucy and Yukino, Erza smiled "I see so Lucy is fighting her again,"
Elsewhere in the city, Lucy was having her 2nd fight with Yukino, with her using Loke and Yukino using Pisces.
"You really are something," Loke smirked "I never met a Celestial Wizard as good as Lucy,"
"Thank you very much, Leo. Now Pisces," Yukino ordered.
"Lets go Loke," Lucy said.
"Yes ma'am," Loke smiled.
REGULUS IMPACT
Pisces was hit by the light attack, making Yukino shield her eyes.
"Pisces," Yukino cried.
Lucy smirked "Now it's my turn," she then took out her whip and used it to grab Yukino. Lucy then used it to pull Yukino closer to her,
LUCY KICK
Lucy then kicked Yukino, knocking her out.
"Lucy Kick, Nice," Loke smirked.
"And Lucy has defeated Yukino team leader of Mermaid Heel, earning Fairy Tail A 5 points,"
"Alright, Lucy!" Levy jumped.
"We're now closer to first," Lisanna smiled.
"Yeah, only 2 points behind," Max smirked.
"Oh no Yukino lost," Aranna signed.
"Well she did her best," Risley smiled.
"Everything is up to Milli now," Beth said.
"Wow everyone is doing amazing," Wendy smiled as she ran through the city "I need to step up too,"
"Everyone is doing great, they're following the strategy accordingly," Mavis smiled.
Makarov nodded "It's just us, Hydra Fang, Lamia Scale and Sabertooth,"
"Woah look Laxus is fighting now," Bickslow shouted.
"He's facing Orga of Sabertooth," Lisanna said.
"This will be an easy win for Laxus," Freed smirked.

"So you're God Slayer Orga," Laxus smirked.
"That's right,I've been wanting to take you down Laxus," Orga said
"Let's go," Laxus and Orga then charged at each other.
…
"I knew you came to me, you little emo," Gajeel smirked.
"Gajeel," Rogue's eyes narrowed.
"Oh my, it looks like a battle of dragons is about to take place,"
Gajeel cracked his knuckles "So you ready to go or what,"
"I'm going to beat you," Rogue declared as he charged at Gajeel.
Gajeel smirked "Bring it on,"
"Both Laxus and Gajeel are facing Saber mages," Macao said.
"Don't worry those two got this," Wakaba reassured.
Minerva signed "Looks like Saber is falling apart, I wonder Sting, will you take us to a new level,"
Sting slumped against a wall "Lector, don't worry I'll save you," he smirked.

Elsewhere in Crocus, Elfman and Cana despite being on different teams were sticking together as per Mavis' plan.
"Damn it, it's not manly if we can't find anyone," Elfman groaned.
"Hey relax, let's leave everything to the big guns," Cana told him.
"Still though," Elfman complained.
It was then the two heard loud footsteps approaching.
"You hear that," Elfman's eyes narrowed.
"Yeah," Cana said. "Be on guard,"
"Looks like Elfman and Cana are going to fight someone," Jet said.
"But who," Droy wondered.
"Out of all the possibilities, there is only one," Mavis answered.
Out of the shadows the approaching man appeared, it was none other then the tower of man Juzo of Hydra Fang.
"Hydra Fang," Cana said.
"One of Natsu's teammates," Elfman glared.
"Fairy Tail huh," Juzo said.
"This is a perfect opportunity to take him down," Elfman smirked, he then used his Take Over and charged at the main.
"Elfman, wait," Cana shouted.
Juzo signed, and it was then black marks started to grow on Juzo's face, and his arm began to change shape.
"Elfman, wait he's doing something," Cana warned.
"I'll stop him before he can do anything, Because I'm a Man!" Elfman jumped at Jzuo.
SLASH
Cana stopped, and Elfman suddenly fell to the ground.
Fairy Tail was in complete shock.
"Elf-nii," Lisanna covered her mouth.
"He took down Elfman," Jet said.
"No way," Macao shouted.
Mavis and Makarov's eyes widened even farther at what they saw. Parts of Juzo's skin turned a dark color, and his arm looked to be covered in scales, with a blade coming out of it.
"That's a curse mark," Mavis shook,
"He has one too," Makarov said, shocked.
"This is bad," Cana was about to throw her cards at him, but Juzo suddenly appeared in front of her, shocking the card mage "What.." she was then slammed to a wall knocking her out.
"WOW! Both Cana of Fairy Tail B and Elfman of Fairy Tail have been eliminated earning Hydra Fang 2 points,"
"Elfman and Cana are out," Lucy said.
"No way," Gray shouted in shock.
"So that is his power," Mavis said intrigued.
"This could mean trouble for the others," Makarov said and Mavis nodded.
"Elfman, Cana," Erza said.
…
"Oh and with that Orga is out, Fairy Tail B gets another point,"
Freed smirked "As expected Laxus won,"
"There's no beating him," Bickslow puffed.
"You were pretty good, but still got ways to go," Laxus breathed heavily. "Now I need to go help my friends,"
Natsu, who was still sitting on top of a building, was still looking out in the distance he felt someone coming "Are you coming to challenge me again,"
Sting who was on the ground glared at him "I'm not going to lose against you this time, I'm stronger than I was then,"
Natsu's eyes narrowed "Even so, it's not enough,"
Sting's eyes narrowed, "I will defeat you," he charged at Natsu, but like last time Natsu easily deflected his attacks. Sting tried another light punch but Natsu easily countered him. Natsu continued to beat Sting with no effort.
"Why even keep going you can't win," Natsu told him as he easily overpowered Sting.
"I have to for Lector's sake, I'm going to save him," Sting continued to fight.
"Lector? He means his Exceed," Natsu using his Sharingan glimpsed into Sting's mind and understood "I see,"
"I'm not going to lose, I'm going to beat you," Sting charged at him, but Natsu just punched him in the gut.
"Lector," Sting groaned as he was knocked out.
"Sting is eliminated, earning Hydra Fang another point keeping them in First Place,"
...
"Sting," Rogue said, breathing heavily hearing the announcement.
"You really got time to focus on your friend," Gajeel kicked Rogue away.
Rogue got his knees breathing heavily "Damn it,"
Gajeel scoffed "come you can do better than that right,"
Rogue glared "I can't lose here, I have to beat you," shadows then started oozing out of Rogue. "There's no other way,"
"What the.." Gajeel's thought was interrupted as Rogue kicked him in the face hard. Gajeel rolled on the ground "What," but he gained a cocky smirk "Now this is getting interesting, whatever happened to you this just became better,"
IRON DRAGON SWORD
Gajeel's attack however went right through Rogue, shocking him, Rogue then appeared from behind Gajeel.
SHADOW DRAGON WAXWING FLASH
Rogue circled around Gajeel and sent him flying.
Frosch who was watching started to shiver in fear "Rogue.."
"Damn it what the hell," Gajeel stood up.
SHADOW DRAGON SLASH
Rogue once again hit Gajeel in the back "Damn it again, what the hell is wrong with him,"
"Gajeel is struggling," Makarov said, shocked.
"Something happened to Rogue," Mavis said dumbfounded.
Rogue once again hit Gajeel in the back.
"You little..." Gajeel growled.
IRON DRAGON…
Gajeel didn't get to finish because Rogue kicked him in the face, Rogue then grabbed Gajeel by the throat.
"Are you really this weak? Gajeel," Rogue began to choke him.
"Stop it, you're killing him," Levy shouted.
"What the hell are you doing Gajeel," Pantherlilly yelled.
"Rogue.." Frosch cried as he jumped out of his balcony seat. "Fro has to go help Rogue,"
Rogue continued to choke Gajeel "I'm disappointed, you're not even close to Natsu Dragneel's level,"
Gajeel then snapped "Okay kid, you just made a big mistake," Gajeel kicked Rogue in the gut forcing him to let go and it was then Gajeel began to consume the shadows.
"What" Rogue said shocked.
"He's eating shadows," Levy said, shocked.
"Can he even do something like that?" Happy jumped.
"I don't know!" Carla said, amazed.
Natsu watched the fight, his eyes narrowing "He's absorbing a second element,"
"Impossible," Rogue stepped back, Gajeel's new appearance scared him, his skin now all black shadows oozing from his body.
"You know you've gotten big Ryos," Gajeel said, Rogue was shocked hearing his old name "I remember how you used to cower when you see me, but now you're all cocky, I was going to enjoy this, but you made the big mistake of comparing me to Salamander, so now I'm going to kick your ass for real,"
"Impossible, and Iron Shadow Dragon," Rogue shouted.
Gajeel smirked at high speed and punched Rogue in the face. Rogue slid back and dove into the shadows attempting to escape.
"He's escaping," Max shouted.
"Hey, where are you going," Gajeel smirked, diving into the shadows chasing after him.
"Gajeel can do it too," Alzack shouted.
Gajeel then pulled Rogue out of the shadow and started to beat him senselessly. Gajeel smirked and then threw him into the air.
IRON SHADOW DRAGON ROAR
"AAAAAHHHH!" Rogue screamed as he was hit by the attack full force. Rogue fell to the ground defeated.
"Gajeel has done it, Fairy Tail B gets another point,"
The crowd cheered in excitement.
Gajeel sat down in exhaustion "Damn,"
It was then Frosch appeared in front of Gajeel standing between him and Rogue "don't hurt Rogue anymore," he cried.
Gajeel seeing the cat's tears signed "Don't worry I'm done, I won't hurt him the fight is over,"
"Rogue," Frosch shook the shadow dragon.
"Frosch, why are you here," Rogue asked.
"Rogue," Frosch smiled.
"I see, I lost," Rogue said.
"Course you did, you could never beat me," Gajeel told him.
Rogue smirked "You're right, even after losing to Natsu I thought I could still beat you guess my confidence still clouded me a little, you know I always ask myself why you the ace of Phantom Lord would join Fairy Tail," Rogue smirked "its because you wanted friends, Sabertooth is nothing like that, power is all that matters, this makes me wonder what is a guild? What is friendship?"
Gajeel smirked "You don't understand anything kid," he pointed at Frosch "That frog is your friend right,"
"Frog? Frosch is a cat you moron," Rogue retorted.
"Well he's important to you ain't he," Gajeel smirked.
Rogue closed his eyes and smiled gently nodding "Yeah, Frosch is my friend,"
"Rogue," Frosch smiled.
" I can never beat you Gajeel,"
"Of course, now I need to beat that same lesson into Salamander," Gajeel walked away.
…
"Everyone is doing well, now it's my turn," Erza said, "First said, I should encounter Minerva here,"
"Erza behind you," Kurama shouted.
Erza quickly turned and took out her sword to defend herself and to her shock, it was Kagura who attacked her.
"IT'S KAGURA!"
"First was wrong," Erza said, shocked.
Mavis was also shocked by this development.
"What is this? I thought Erza was predicted to fight Minerva," Makarov looked towards Mavis.
"I don't know, we're entering unknown territory," Mavis said.
"Yeah, it looks like the others are real trouble too," Levy pointed.
The First and Third Master turned to another Lacrima Vision and saw Gray regrouping with Lucy and Juvia.
"You guys alright," Gray asked.
"Yeah we're good," Lucy told him.
"Gray-sama you were amazing," Juvia cooed.
"Thanks, but it's not over yet," Gray told them, and it was as he said Lyon appeared.
"I've been waiting for you, Gray," Lyon smirked.
"Lyon," Lucy said.
"This is trouble," Juvia nodded.
"He's not the only one," Gray said "Hey you coming out too,"
It was then out of the shadows Hitomi appeared and he was standing on a roof.
"Hydra Fang," Juvia uttered.
"Great 2 big problems," Lucy cried.
Elsewhere in the city, Laxus glared at his upcoming opponent and out approaching him to put Fairy Tail into more shock.
"Hello, Laxus-dono," Jura smirked.
"Laxus is going to fight Wizard Saint Jura," Max shouted.
"That's too much even for him," Makarov said.
"Don't lose faith in Laxus," Freed shouted.
"Yeah he can take him," Bickslow shouted.
Laxus was ready to throw down with Jura but the two heard more footsteps.
"Great not just Jura, but Laxus has to fight him too," Droy shouted.
Juzo appeared before the Lighting mage, and Wizard Saint.
"Wizard Saint Jura, and Laxus Dreyar," Juzo simply said.
"Damn another monster is joining," Laxus smirked.
"Hydra Fang," Jura's eyes narrowed.
In another part of the city, Wendy ran until she bumped into someone she knew, and she fell clumsily.
"Ouch," both girls said.
"Chelia," Wendy smiled.
"Wendy," Chelia also smiled.
"Wow what a coincidence," Chelia said cheerfully.
"Wow, First I said I ran into you," Wendy cheerfully said.
"Well let's get down to business, this match won't end in a draw," Chelia smirked,
"You got that right," Wendy smirked.
"Well, well, 2 lost little girls," a voice said.
Both Wendy and Chelia looked up and their eyes widened in shock looking down on them. It was no other than Sora the Sky Devil.
"Yo," Sora smirked.
"Hydra's Sky Devil Slayer," Wendy said, shocked.
"Sora," Chelia said.
"Looks like you 2 girls are going to have some fun, mind if I join," Sora smirked.
"First, does this mean," Makarov shook.
Mavis nodded "Yes,"
"Hydra Fang is finally making a move,"

AN hey guys here is the latest chapter not the best but did the best I could. Okay, so each fight is most likely going to be its own chapter. So just wait and see for that. This chapter isn't the best so I needed a way to get rid of the teams that don't really matter. I also realize in this story Gajeel is the first one to use dual element. I also eliminated Elfman and Cana early cause they don't matter for this so yeah. Be sure to review and I will see you next time. As for my other stories still working on them just a slow process.
