"Ryuji, Chase what happened," Dyst questioned the two.

"We ran into some interference," Chase explained.

"Yeah, the girl is being protected by some guild," Ryuji told him.

"A guild," Dyst raised an eyebrow.

Chase nodded "A guild based in Ishigar, Fairy Tail,"

"Hmm," Dyst stroked his chin "Then that means there will still be there, be prepared we are heading to Ishigar,"

Both Ryuji and Chase nodded and went off to prepare to leave. As Ryuji headed to his room a voice rang in his head.

"Ryuji, are you sure this is wise,"

Ryuji signed "Oh great it's you, what is it this time you going to lecture me and tell me this is a bad idea,"

"Hmm, I am but me lecturing is not going to stop you,"

"Yeah, you live in my body, you can't stop me from doing what I want," Ryuji said.

"I know but be warned, that woman you faced is exactly a Jinchurki,"

Ryuji's eyes narrowed "So you're saying that woman has beast like you sealed in her,"

"Yes, probably stronger than you,"

Ryuji smirked, "Don't sweat it, I can handle her. Matatabi,"

Unknown to the young Jinchurki, someone from the shadows was watching him.

"At the loss of many, we have sealed the Phoenix. The two Phoenix Stones are testament to that fact. It is because of them we have true peace."

Eclair told Erza and her friends as they returned to the guildhall.

Macao just looked at the stone confused "Well it doesn't look that special to me, just a normal looking rock,"

"Maybe destroying it would help," Elfman suggested. "That would be the manly thing,"

"Idiot, you think Kalard wouldn't think of that," Erza told him bluntly.

"Oh I see," Elfman said.

"Anyway Eclair, do you know what happened to the other half," Erza asked.

Eclair thought for a moment "I believe it was stolen during the raid, I think the attackers were from Veronica,"

"That's a small country only north of Fiore," Happy said.

"So Veronica may have the other half of the stone," Lucy said.

"It's a rather isolated country, and I hear their current rule is a real spoiled brat," Wakaba said.

"So it's unlikely they're just going to give it to us," Erza said.

As the group continued to discuss what to do to get the other stone, a loud explosion ran through, the front half of the guild completely destroyed.

"What the hell," Gray shouted.

"An attacker," Levy shielded her eyes.

It was then more magic missiles were fired into the hall destroying it even more. Luckily however a majority of those inside managed to dodge all the rumble. Once the dust cleared it revealed the attackers were a group of 4 individuals. One of them to Erza's shock was one of the assassins from before.

"You," Erza glared.

"Yo," Ryuji smirked.

"Bastards, who in the hell are you," Gray shouted.

Dyst smirked "We are Carbuncle: the garnet-adorned beast that lurks in the darkness. I am Dyst," he then used his telekinesis to fire dozens of rumbles at other guild members knocking them to the wall.

Erza glared and requipped a sword "Bastard," she then charged towards the group only to be intercepted by Ryuji who blocked her attack with his claws.

"Your opponent is me nee-san," Ryuji smirked.

Erza's eyes narrowed "Bastard,"

"Erza," Gray shouted, he went to go and try and help her but he was stopped by the biggest of the attackers.

"Hey pretty boy, you're going to face the Great Cannon-sama," Cannon licked his lips.

"Hah!? You want to go big guy," Gray challenged.

Though Juvia had a different reaction, one of which was jealousy "this man confessed to Gray-sama,"

"I WON'T LET YOU HAVE GRAY-SAMA!" Juvia declared much to the chagrin of the others.

"Huh, what?" Cannon blinked.

"DON"T LIE" Juvia fired a blast of water at Cannon who responded by firing several bullets.

"Those bullets won't work because I am water" Juvia thought seeing the incoming attack, but to her shock the bullets were destroying her water "magic bullets" Juvia was hit and knocked to the ground.

"JUVIA" Gray yelled.

ICE MAKE SHIELD

Gray then created a large ice shield to protect the water mag, but the shield was destroyed easily by the magic bullets.

"GRAY-SAN! JUVIA!-SAN" Wendy cried..

"Get down," Cana pulled the girl back to cover.

Mira and Elfman using their take-overs both charged at the sole woman of the attackers, but to their shock the woman somehow deactivated their Take-Overs and Mira fell in front of her.

"Hmm, it looks like even She-Devil Mirajane knows to kneel before the Coordinator," Coordinator smirked proudly as she was about to strike Mira, the take-over mage quickly jumped away.

"Damn it we're getting overrun," Jet grunted.

"Jet, go get Master," Droy told him.

"But I need to protect Levy," Jet argued.

"Just get her out first, and go get him," Droy said.

"Oh you're right," Jet nodded.

"But they might need my help," Levy didn't get a say though as Jet quickly took her out of there.

"Damn it," Erza clashed with Ryuji.

"Come on, that's all you got, show me your real power," Ryuji said.

"You," Erza's eyes narrowed and she pushed Ryuji away from her. Ryuji's movements then started to get faster, and Erza noticed his fighting style, he was fighting almost like he was a wild cat.

"This fighting style," Kurama's eyes narrowed.

Erza and Ryuji clashed once again, katana to claws. Erza then in a quick move cut through Ryuji's claws shocking him, She then kicked him in the gut sending him sliding back.

"You're pretty good," Ryuji smirked "I guess I'll show you what I really got,"

Erza's eyes then widened as did the other guild members, feeling Ryuji's power increasing. It was then that Ryuji was wrapped in a red orange aura.

"This is just like Erza," Bisca said.

"No way, you mean he's a Jinchurki like her," Happy said.

"This Chakra its no question that its her," Kurama said.

"Who," Erza asked the fox.

"It's the Nibii, Matatabi" Kurama told her.

"Matatabi," Erza said confused.

"Oh, if you know that name that confirms you're one too huh," Ryuji smirked.

"And what of it," Erza glared.

"Well I want to see which one of us is stronger, a battle between Jinchuriki is rare in this era," Ryuji got into a fighting stance.

"So be it," Erza got into a fighting stance, and she then cloaked herself in Kurama's chakra.

Dyst looked around at the chaos, and he smirked seeing Eclair hiding with Lucy "There you are,"

"Hey, what the" Dyst used his Telekinesis to throw Lucy, Cana, Wendy, Droy, Carla, Happy, and Momon away.

"LUCY! EVERYONE!" Eclair shouted, it was then suddenly out of the shadows Chase appeared and knocked Eclair out and grabbed her.

"Eclair," Lucy groaned.

"ECLAIR!" Erza shouted as she clashed with Ryuji.

"Hey pay attention will ya," Ryuji kicked Erza's sword out of her hand and then kicked her in the face. "You're fighting me remember,"

"Ryuji, we're leaving," Dyst ordered.

"Eh," Ryuji groaned "But I was just about to have some fun," Dyst just gave him a glare, he then levitated some rumble and fired at Erza.

"AAHHH!" Erza screamed as she was sent to the wall.

Ryuji signed "Spoil sport, fine I'm coming,"

Ryuji regrouped with his comrades.

"Thank you for your help Fairy Tail," Dyst smirked.

"BASTARDS!" Erza blasted the debris off of her, her eyes a sharp red cloaked in a red aura/

Ryuji smirked "See ya my fellow Jinchuriki,"

Erza charged at them at high speeds, but Dyst pushed her back, firing a wave of debris at her sending her flying back through the hall destroying the other half of the guild hall. Once the dust cleared, the group known as Carbuncle was now gone.

"Eclair," Lucy cried.

Back in Veronica, Duke Cream looked at himself smugly in the mirror, "True beauty is upon us," he said as he felt Carbuncle's success.

"I hope your mission was truly a success Dyst,"

The Fairy Tail guild was in the midst of recovering, after the surprise attack from Carbuncle.

"Eclair was taken and I couldn't do anything," Lucy cried.

"I'm gonna go rescue her," Momon tried to sit up but was still in pain.

"Momon, you are in no shape to go," Happy told the bird.

"Damn it," Erza punched the ground. "Attacking our guild, and kidnapping a client. Unforgivable,"

"Hmm, it seems we have quite the mess here," Makarov entered along with Gajeel and Lilly.

'Master, Gajeel, and Lilly," Gray said, surprised.

"Master," Erza stood and bowed "I'm sorry, I was unable to hold down the fort here,"

"It's quite alright, the guildhall has seen worse," Makarov told her.

"Master, did Jet tell you what happened," Droy asked.

"Jet? No haven't seen him," Makarov raised, this made Droy make a dumbfounded face.

The group then proceeded to the guild basement, where Makarov, Gajeel, and Lilly explained what was actually going on.

"Under Master's orders, me and Gajeel were investigating a strange surge in unusual magical power," Lilly told them.

"And there we ran smack into the Principality of Veronica," Gajeel continued.

"That's the place Eclair was talking about," Happy said.

"The ones who have the other half of the Phoenix stone," Erza's eyes narrowed.

"The ones who attacked our guild was a guild in Veronica, Carbuncle. They serve under Duke Cream the current ruler," Lilly explained."They agreed to kidnap Eclair for a large sum of money,"

"Right now, Veronica is about to celebrate its 400th anniversary and that snot-nosed Duke is going to put the two Phoenix Stones together at the ceremony," Gajeel told them, those words shocked the group.

"Why would they do something like that," Erza asked.

"Apparently according to legend and Veronica royal lore, when the two stones become one, the sealed phoenix shall be revived and will give whoever restored it immortality," Lilly explained, this sent the group into further shock.

"Immortality," Wendy shook.

Makarov nodded "It is said that countless people of Fire Village have perished in sealing the phoenix away. Its revival could spell great calamity,"

"If we can just Dispel one of the stones then we can prevent the phoenix's revival. That's why Kalard was waiting for Eclair, so she can bring it to him," Gray said.

"That Duke Cream plans to gain the Phoenix's power and immortality, so he can do what he wants," Gajeel furthered explained.

"So in summary if the phoenix was revived and gone on a rampage then Duke Cream will be the only survivor," Lilly finished.

"Like hell we're going to let him do that," Erza shouted and the others nodded.

"Master,I want to save Eclair," Lucy declared "She was crying, and when I hugged her she was trembling so much that I shook too. This isn't about the stone or the Phoenix or anything else, Eclair is just a normal girl who just found out her father died" she cried.

Makarov nodded "Very well, you will go Lucy, Erza I leave the members you want to bring to you,"

"Of course, Master," Erza nodded.

"Be sure to only take a small elite team, despite them being a small country we can't afford to go to war with Veronica," Makarov told her and Erza nodded.

"Erza, will you be alright, I mean that guy you were fighting," Mira was interrupted.

"I know, he's just like me, a Jinchuriki," Erza said.

"So there are others there like you, Erza-san," Wendy asked.

Erza nodded "Yeah, but they are rare. The one I went up against was the Jinchuriki of the Niibii, Matatabi,"

"Niibii," Gray raised an eyebrow "You mean like your fox friend,"

Erza nodded "Yes Kurama explained there 8 more just like him in the world,"

"8 more huh," Gray stroked his chin.

"Are they and Kurama-san friends," Wendy asked.

"No," Kurama bluntly answered.

"No," Erza said "well according to him,"

"So what does Kurama know of this Matatabi," Makarov asked.

"He said she's a blue fire Cat, and she uses fire related techniques," Erza explained.

"A giant monster cat that breathes fire, well that is something," Gray said.

"Don't worry I can handle him," Erza said determined

"Okay I leave it to you, So who else will be going," Makarov asked.

"Obviously I am," Gray smirked.

"I will go as well," Juvia volunteered.

"Me too," Wendy said determinedly.

"Hmm, guess me too," Carla nodded.

"Aye sir," Happy smiled.

Gajeel and Lilly also raised their hands volunteering as well.

Makarov nodded "We have to prepare for the worst possible scenario, I will go to the council and give them my report. Now all of you go,"

"YES MASTER!"

They all bowed and headed off to the train to Veronica. After they Makarov stepped outside and watched his children leave.

"I know you are there," Makarov said, referring to a mysterious hooded figure. "I don't know why you have an interest in this but I don't care. Now I know we have a complicated relationship but they may need your help, so I am asking if you are willing please lend your assistance,"

The figure didn't say anything, his eyes narrowed at Makarov and he just vanished.

"Master, are you alright," Mira asked.

"I am fine Mira," Makarov told her.

"Sounded like you were talking to someone," Mira said.

"Just a silent prayer that is all," Makarov replied.

"Okay," Mira nodded "Are you headed to the meet the Council now,"

"Not yet, there's something else I need to do," Makarov walked into the guildhall.

"And that is," Mira asked.

"I need to contact Gildarts and have him do something for me," Makarov answered.

"Is it about Veronica," Mira asked, and Makarov shook his head, "Natsu," she asked looking down, and he shook his head again. "Then what is it,"

"Something I feel only he can handle. He can save us or give us time to prepare for something far worse,"

In the capital city of Veronica, Eclair was locked and chained in the dungeon. Eclair then looked up, seeing her cell door open and to be greeted by the dumbass looking Duke Cream and Dyst.

"Why hello there," Duke Cream introduced. "Now girl, I'd like to thank you for the other half of the Phoenix Stone, I must repay you," he threw her necklace in her face.

Eclair glared "You can't revive the Phoenix its power is far beyond human reach,"

Duke Cream smugly smirked "Oh I do believe its power is within my reach,"

Those words made Eclair give him a more intense glare and in anger she headbutted him in the face breaking his nose.

Duke Cream was angered "You vile witch," he slashed at her with a dagger "You dare strike me. I will execute tomorrow in front of everyone when I revive the phoenix," he screamed like a spoiled child, and he Dyst left the cell.

"Insubordinate vile witch," Duke Cream whined.

"Her friends may try to rescue her, I'll have my men prepared in case that happens," Dyst said.

"See that you do," Duke Cream walked to his room.

Dyst then walked to the dining area where he saw Ryuji enjoying his meal. "Ryuji," he called out.

Ryuji signed "Yeah boss,"

"You best be prepared for tomorrow," Dyst told him "We'll need your beast for battle,"

"I know, I know," Ryuji said. "If she let me, I'll do it geez leave me alone,"

Dyst scoffed and left the room.

"I am hesitant about this plan, Ryuji," Matatabi said. "Releasing this phoenix could bring harm,"

"Why do you care," Ryuji signed.

"I am just warning you," Matatabi told him.

"Don't worry if that dumbass Duke fucks up we'll just kill him," Ryuji leaned in his chair "Problem solved,"

"And the phoenix," Matatabi asked.

"We'll kill it too, immortal my ass I'll kill that thing," Ryuji smirked.

On the train Fairy Tail was preparing a battle plan to fight Carbuncle, the Veronica Forces and a way to save Eclair. As the group waited for the train to arrive at their destination, Erza decided to have a chat with Kurama.

"Kurama, I'm going to need your power," Erza asked.

"Hmm, guess you have no choice when you're going up against another Bijuu," Kurama scoffed.

Erza nodded "That man is strong,"

Kurama nodded "and he seems to be in control of Matatabi's power, which is rare for Jinchurki,"

"We'll beat him," Erza said determinedly.

"Confident aren't you, well guess I'll help. And this could be a test of how far you've come,"

Back in Crocus Makarov was meeting with the council telling them all the information he had learned.

"You mean to tell us those weren't just rumors!" a member shouted.

Makarov nodded "Indeed. The Phoenix's revival. The capture of eternal life. With those Veronica is surely going to try and invade Fiore"

"Absurd, no way a small country like that would dare," another member argued.

"Then explain the connection with its unusual magic power," Makarov fired back.

"Watch your tone Makarov," Gran Doma said "You are suggesting we go to war with a small country,"

"We have no time," Makarov told him "I request as guild master we act. This is in accordance with Article 27 of the National Security Directive. I ask you to issue a threat elimination order so as to secure the citizens' lives and property. You must vote to stop the phoenix's revival,"

"YOU OVERSTEP YOUR BOUNDS!" a member yelled.

"For now we need to examine all the information," Orga said.

"THERE'S NO TIME!" Makarov shouted.

Erza and her team have finally arrived in Veronica, all of them standing outside the capital city, they all heard the celebration.

"Listen, they're celebrating not knowing what's going to happen," Gray said.

"If the phoenix is revived then they will all die," Wendy nodded.

"We have to do everything in our power to stop it," Juvia declared.

"Gehe, yeah let's rampage," Gajeel cracked his knuckles.

"We have to save these people from killing themselves," Lilly nodded.

"And save them from their own stupidity," Carla said.

"Aye sir," Happy nodded.

"Eclair, we're going to save you," Lucy declared.

Erza looked at the capital city, her eyes narrowing, her haori bellowing in the wind.

"Lets go,"
