Chapter 62
Everleigh pursed her lips as she stood with Natasha in a room as Steve, T'Challa, and Sam were brought in by Ross.
"You'll be provided with an office instead of a cell. Now, do me a favor, stay in it?" Ross said, looking at them.
"I don't intend on going anywhere." T'Challa said looking up at Ross.
"For the record, this is what making things worse looks like." Natasha said as she crossed her arms.
"He's alive." Steve said softly, shrugging his shoulders. He had saved his friend and that was the only thing that mattered to him.
"No. Romania was not Accords-sanctioned. And, Colonel Rhodes is supervising cleanup." Tony said on his phone.
"Try not to break anything while we fix this." Natasha said, looking at Steve.
"Consequences? You bet there'll be consequences. Obviously you can quote me on that 'cause I just said it. Anything else? Thank you, sir." Tony hung up his phone, putting it into his pocket.
"Consequences?" Steve questioned looking at Tony.
"Secretary Ross wants you both prosecuted. Had to give him something."
"I'm not getting that shield back, am I?" Steve questioned softly.
"Technically, it's the government's property. Wings, too." Natasha pointed out like it was an easy thing to figure out.
"That's cold." Sam said as he looked up from where he sat.
"Warmer than jail." Tony said with a shrug of his shoulders as he sat down in one of the seats.
Everleigh shook her head lightly, not liking the idea.
CIVILWAR
Everleigh sat in the room with Steve and Sam keeping them company. Her eyes were locked on the screen watching what was happening down in the bunker where Bucky was. She bit her lower lip softly as she crossed her arms a little as she continued to look.
Steve looked over at Everleigh. "You never signed the Accords did you?" He questioned looking at the now dark haired woman.
Everleigh shrugged her shoulders. "I don't see the point in signing them, Steve. They haven't given me a good reason to." Everleigh shifted some, letting out a breath. "You know before you guys were caught I was trying to search for you."
"You would've been caught in the same boat as us." Sam said, looking over at Everleigh.
Everleigh let out a soft chuckle shaking her head lightly. "Perhaps, but it felt right to go after you. I was just too late." She turned her head when she saw Sharon coming closer to the door. She didn't want to say much when Sharon was around. She didn't know if Sharon would be someone to trust.
Sharon came into the office holding a receipt for their gear. "The receipt for your gear." She said handing one to Steve and one to Sam.
Sam looked at it and let out a frustrated breath. "'Bird costume'? Come on."
"I didn't write it." Sharon said before pushing a button which stopped the restriction on the audio from Bucky's evaluation.
"I'm not here to judge you. I just want to ask you a few questions. Do you know where you are, James? I can't help you if you don't talk to me, James." The man said on the screen.
Everleigh shifted a little bit and crossed her arms as she watched.
"My name is Bucky."
Her brows furrowed slightly wondering why this person who was asking Bucky questions had such a thick accent that wasn't well placed to her. Her brow quirked a little as she continued to watch what was going on the screen. She hadn't even noticed that Steve and Sharon had left with Sam.
"Tell me, Bucky. You've seen a great deal, haven't you?"
"I don't want to talk about it."
"You fear that… if you open your mouth, the horrors might never stop. Don't worry. We only have to talk about one."
Everleigh blinked a few times in confusion as the lights went off in the bunker. She couldn't understand what had happened as the power completely was gone. She heard people rushing around trying to fix what had happened. She let out a soft breath shaking her head lightly as she went to move.

This is the end of Chapter 62. I hope that you guys enjoyed this chapter. I have a feeling when Everleigh actually meets Bucky fully, I'm not fully sure if they would get along with one another or not. I'll figure that out as I go. I know there isn't all that much going on in this chapter, but I'm trying my best with trying to write each chapter out and make it look good and sound good as I write this. Please leave a review and let me know what you think. I'll update next Monday as long as I have chapters to post. Until next time.
