Authoress Note: Welcome to Chapter 65 of God of Lies and Mischief and the Woman of Many Faces. Thank you to those who have left reviews. It really does mean a lot to me that you guys are enjoying the story. I'm trying my best to make this worthwhile. I do promise you that Loki will be coming back very soon. I just want to have some more growth for Everleigh. I know that him showing up to her a few times already is a little bit bumpy and him making her promise to not tell anyone that he was alive is probably torture on her. But I promise you there is a reason why he showed himself to her. But it might not be revealed all that soon. I hope that you guys enjoy this next part of the story. Without further ado Chapter 65. ENJOY!
Chapter 65
Everleigh sat next to Bucky in the backseat of the getaway car that she had gotten for Steve. She nibbled her lower lip softly hoping that Bucky would be able to remain calm as they waited for Steve who was busy talking to Sharon.
"Can you move your seat up?" Bucky asked softly, hoping that Sam would move his seat up to make room for his long legs.
"No." Sam said firmly.
Everleigh let out a breath. "Come on Sam, I know you're pissed off and all but he really does need some leg room."
Sam scoffed a bit, shaking his head.
Everleigh shook her head lightly. "Here I'll switch you." Everleigh said slowly, beginning to move out of where she sat so Bucky could take her place. She got out of the car allowing Bucky to slide across the backseat to take her place as she walked around the back of the car and got back into it. Her knees smacked off of the back of the seat jolting Sam a little bit.
"You didn't have to switch with him." Sam pointed out looking back at her.
"Yes, I did. You were crowding on him and you don't care." Everleigh snapped her form changing into her blonde hair self before going back to the brunette that she was before.
Bucky blinked a few times in confusion. "W-what was that?"
Everleigh looked over at Bucky, her cheeks going red. "Um, sorry." She said softly, running her hand through her brown hair. "When I get the least bit emotional I tend to change forms." She shook her head lightly.
"And was it something you were born with?" Bucky asked softly wondering if there were such things as skinchangers at birth.
Everleigh swallowed the lump in her throat and shook her head lightly. "No. I was experimented on. Just like you were… perhaps a little worse when it came to experimenting though…" She waved her hand a little showing a blue aura around her fingertips. "This is what I was born with."
"Aura?"
Everleigh shook her head. "No, magic."
"You're a witch?"
Everleigh shrugged her shoulders. "I guess you can say that. Honestly I'm not sure of what I am."

Steve drove up to the sixth level of the parking garage at Leipzig/Halle airport. He parked the old battered car beside a gray van. He got out of the car.
Everleigh slowly got out of the car as well.
Sam got out of the car along with Bucky.
"Cap." Clint said, nodding his head towards the blond haired male.
"You know I wouldn't have called If I had any other choice." Steve admitted softly looking at Clint knowing that this was dangerous for him to be even doing such a thing.
"Hey man, you're doing me a favor. Besides, I owe a debt."
"Thanks for having my back."
"It was time to get off my ass." Wanda said coming forward.
"How about our other recruit?"
"He's rarin' to go. Had to put a little coffee in him, but… he should be good." Clint said, opening the side door to the van.
Scott groaned slowly and sat up sleepily. "What time zone is this?"
"Come on. Come on." Clint said getting Scott out of the car.
Scott shook Steve's hand with an amazed look. "Captain America."
"Mr. Lang."
"It's an honor. I'm shaking your hand too long. Wow! This is awesome! Captain America." He looked at Wanda. "I know you, too. You're great!" He turned back and felt Steve's shoulders. "Jeez. Ah, look, I wanna say, I know you know a lot of super people, so . . . thinks for thanking of me. Hey, man!" He suddenly said to Sam.
"What's up, Tic Tac?" Sam mused with a smile.
"Uh, good to see you. Look, what happened last time when I . . ."
"It was a great audition, but it'll . . . it'll never happen again."
"They tell you what we're up against?" Steve questioned looking at Scott.
"Something about some . . . psycho-assassins?"
"We're outside the law on this one. So, if you come with us, you're a wanted man."
"Yeah, well, what else is new?" Scott said, shaking his head thinking.
"We should get moving." Bucky said softly, voicing up finally.
"We got a chopper lined up." Clint pointed out to them.
"Dies ist eine Notsituation. Alle Passagiere müssen den Flughafen sofort evakuieren." The PA called out.
"They're evacuating the airport." Bucky said wincing a little bit knowing that this wasn't a good sign.
"Stark." Sam said letting out a breath.
"Stark?" Scott questioned tilting his head to the side.
"Suit up." Steve ordered looking at everyone.
"Hey Clint?" Everleigh said, looking at Clint.
"Yeah kid?" Clint questioned turning his attention to Everleigh.
"Did you get my gear?"
Clint grabbed a bag tossing it to her. "Don't think the worst of me kiddo."
Everleigh let out a soft chuckle shaking her head lightly. "Never, Clint. I could never think that of you." She moved towards the back of the van and opened the back door to put her bag down. She opened it up and took a breath looking at her black and blue gear.
"Leigh you don't have to do this." Clint said looking over at her seeing the look on her face.
Everleigh let out a soft hum as she looked over at Clint. "I have to. This is the right thing to do even though others will see it as wrong." She said shifting back into her blonde hair blue eyed self. "If I get caught I'm going down the way that I want to and that is helping someone who needs it most of all and that isn't Tony and the stupid Accords."
Clint nodded his head knowing what she meant. He knew that she was going to do the right thing even if it would get her into quite a bit of trouble.

This is the end of Chapter 65. I hope that you guys enjoyed this chapter. I tried my best with trying to make the chapter longer as I wrote this one out. Hopefully it turned out a wee bit better than the last few chapters which were a little on the short side. Now we know which side Everleigh is on, which is a dangerous side for her to be on, but it seems she doesn't really give a damn does she? She's fighting for what she thinks is right. Please leave a review and let me know what you think. Do you think she's going to be arrested like the others or will she get away with Steve and Bucky? I would love to see your thoughts on this. I can't wait to show you what will really happen. Reviews keep me going in my writing phases. I'll update next Monday as always to keep this going as the longest running story that I've written. Until next time.
