It really does mean a lot to me that you guys are enjoying this story. I think Bucky and Everleigh will be friends, it'll just take some time don't you think. And now we're getting to the nitty gritty of this chapter. I'm actually excited to write this chapter out. Without further ado Chapter 67. ENJOY!

Chapter 67

Bucky, Sam and Everleigh joined the others on the tarmac below.

They began to run towards the Quinjet.

A fizzing stream of energy sliced across the runway making them stop. It was none other than Vision hovering above them. "Captain Rogers. I know you believe what you're doing is right. But for the collective good you must surrender now."

Tony's team finally arrived, blocking their path to the quinjet.

"What do we do, Cap?" Sam questioned his eyes slowly sliding over to the Captain wondering what they needed to do.

"We fight." Steve said softly knowing that this wasn't a good thing.

"This is gonna end well." Natasha admitted softly knowing that this wasn't going to end well at all.

The two teams strided towards each other with grim determination etched on each of their faces. One team to stop the other in their tracks and the other team to get to the quinjet and help Bucky stop the other Winter Soldiers that were out there.

"They're not stopping." Peter said softly.

"Neither are we." Tony ordered his team.

They broke into sprints before the two teams collided with one another.

Steve blocked a punch as Tony landed. Clint fired an arrow at Vision. Rhodey flew after Sam and Bucky trading blows with T'Challa. An explosive arrow hits Tony. Natasha threw Scott as Peter swung through the air struggling to avoid vehicles that were projected by Wanda and Everleigh. Bucky landed a punch on T'Challa, Clint and Natasha battled each other with batons. Clint pinned her down with his bow.

"We're still friends, right?" Natasha questioned panting softly looking up at him.

"Depends on how hard you hit me." Clint mused looking at her with a small smirk on his lips.

"Wanda helps Clint." Everleigh called out as she continued to project cars towards Peter to keep him busy.

Wanda nodded her head.

Natasha spun him with her legs, but before she was about to kick his head, her foot stopped, glowing bright red.

Wanda projected Natasha down. Wanda looked at Clint. "You were pulling your punches."

Clint nodded sheepishly knowing that was rather true.

Everleigh turned her head seeing that Bucky was having a problem with T'Challa.

Bucky and T'Challa had one another by the throats.

"I didn't kill your father." Bucky said, trying to get out of T'Challa's hold.

"Then why did you run?" T'Challa pulled Bucky's hand off his neck, then spun him around and fly-kicked him backwards. He sprouted claws and aimed for Bucky's neck.

Everleigh used her powers to stop T'Challa's hand. She waved her arm sending him back to Wanda who used her power waving her arms sending him crashing into a passenger gateway. Everleigh came over to Bucky and helped him up to his feet. "He's out for blood." Everleigh said to him softly. "Don't try to engage with him, it'll get you killed."

Bucky wiped his mouth as he looked at her. "Yeah."

Peter swung past, Steve snapped the web with his shield. "That thing does not obey the laws of physics at all."

"Look kid. There's a lot going on here that you don't understand." Steve said, looking at Peter.

"Mr. Stark said you'd say that. Wow." He fires his webs which stick to Steve's shield and ankle. He pulled and Steve slid towards him. Peter kicked him backwards and then rolled clear away from the action.

Sam avoided fire from Tony trying his best to get away and try to get to safety. "Clint, can you get him off me?"

"Buckled in?" Clint said looking at a miniaturized Scott.

"Yeah. No, I'm good. I'm good, Arrow Guy. Let's go. Let's go!" He said as he was on the tip of Clint's arrow.

Clint fired the arrow, the head of it split and Tony was shot with shards.

Scott moved quickly diving in between Tony's spread fingers and slipped inside of the suit at the shoulder joint.

Steve caught the web and tugged Peter towards him before knocking him down with the shield.

Peter recovered and pulled himself on top of the gangway.

"Stark tell you anything else?"

"That you're wrong. You think you're right. That makes you dangerous." Peter said swinging down and Steve leapt up to kick him backwards onto the gangway.

"Guess he had a point." Steve said, throwing his shield at the leg and the gangway fell.

Peter held it up.

"You got heart, kid. Where're you from?"

"Queens."

"Brooklyn." Steve said, leaving Peter to hold the gangway on his own.

Clint fired at a hovering Tony whose arm lasers malfunctioned.

"Friday?" Tony said, hoping that his AI would figure it out.

"We have some weapon systems offline."

"They what?"

"Oh, you're gonna have to take this into the shop." Scott said as he worked.

"Who's speaking?"

"It's your conscience. We don't talk a lot these days."

"Friday?"

"Deploying fire suppression system."

"Uh -oh. Oh boy. Whoa!" Scott began to sprint through the narrow banks of components chased by a rolling cloud of CO2. He ejected himself from the suit.

Bucky looked at Steve panting softly. "We gotta go. That guy's probably in Siberia by now."

Everleigh nodded her head. "And they aren't necessarily making it easy on us either. We don't have a lot of time."

"We gotta draw out the flyers. I'll take Vision. You get to the jet." Steve ordered Bucky.

"I'll go with him." Everleigh said looking at Steve.

Sam shook his head. "No, you get to the jet! The three of you!" Sam said over the com as he was being chased by Rhodey. "The rest of us aren't getting out of here."

"As much as I hate to admit it, if we're gonna win this one, some of us might have to lose it." Clint said over the com as he fired more of his arrows.

"This isn't the real fight, Steve."

"Alright, Sam, what's the play?" Steve questioned on the com.

"We need a diversion, something big."

"I got something kind of big, but I can't hold it very long. On my signal, run like hell. And if I tear myself in half . . . don't come back for me." Scott said, looking at everyone.

"He's gonna tear himself in half?" Bucky questioned, slightly concerned.

"You're sure about this, Scott?"

"I do it all the time. I mean once . . . in a lab. Then I passed out. I'm the boss. I'm the boss. I'm the boss. I'm the boss. I'm the BOSS!" Scott said, leaping from the mobile stairs and landed on Rhodey's back as he passed. He operated his suit's wrist and shut his eyes as he activated a remote. Scott grew into a towering behemoth and grabbed Rhodey's leg.

"Holy shit!" Peter said in shock, grabbing his head. He couldn't believe what he had seen.

"Okay, tiny dude is big now. He's big now." Rhodey said, looking back, his eyes rather wide.

"I guess that's the signal." Steve said, looking at his two teammates.

"More than ever." Everleigh said, blinking a few times. "You two be careful."

"Leigh, I know what you're going to do. Phasing out."

Everleigh nodded her head. "Better for me to vanish for a bit, no?" She mused with a small smile.

Steve nodded his head.

"Way to go, Tic Tac!" Sam yelled happily.

"Let's go." Everleigh said before suddenly vanishing from sight.

Bucky looked at his friend. "You don't think it is strange that she can do that?"

Steve let out a soft laugh and shook his head. "It just takes time to get used to her, that's all. She's good at what she does."

"Well she seems like a good friend if she's willing to risk her own life to help out."

The two of them ran towards the hanger that held the quinjet that they desperately needed.

Vision spotted them before simply floating through Scott's chest.

"Something just flew in me!"

Vision fired a shining beam of energy from his mind stone and the control tower collapsed towards the entrance of the hanger.

Wanda struggled with its collapse.

Everleigh materialized from inside and used her powers to help Wanda slow the falling debris from the falling tower. Everleigh saw Natasha was there waiting for Steve and Bucky.

"You're not gonna stop." Natasha said, looking at the three of them.

"You know I can't." Steve said, shaking his head.

"I'm gonna regret this." Natasha said stunning T'Challa who was behind them. "Go."

Bucky, Steve and Everleigh got onto the quinjet as Natasha kept T'Challa at bay.

Everleigh pressed buttons to get the quinjet's engine started. She pressed the button and the guns blasted the debris from the entrance. Everleigh slowly brought the quinjet into the air and then out of the hangar. Everleigh looked over her shoulder spotting Rhodey right on their tail. "We've got incoming." She said as she pushed forward the thrusters.

Steve looked back, seeing Rhodey right there. "There is no way that we would be able to get away."

"We can only hope that the team is able to do something." Everleigh looked back at the two men before noticing that Rhodey was dropping out of the sky. "And I hate to say it, I think that's our opening." She shook her head lightly. "I hope Rhodey is alright."

"You didn't have to do this, Leigh." Steve said softly as he watched the young woman pilot the plane.

Everleigh let out a soft laugh and shook her head lightly. "I told you. I wanted to do this Steve. This is my family, and the accords are tearing it apart."

Steve swallowed the lump in his throat.

"They want to control Wanda and myself because of what we can do, and that's not fair to us whatsoever."

Steve nodded his head slowly. He knew that was very true. It wasn't fair to the two young women. "What if they find you?"

"They have no address for me… they don't have my address to my home… I'll be safe once this is all over."

Steve nodded his head.

This is the end of Chapter 67. I hope that you guys enjoyed this chapter. I know there is a lot going on in this chapter. I tried my best with it and I think that this might be one of my longer chapters for this story which I have to admit that I'm fairly proud of. I hope that it was a good enough read. And we have some Everleigh and Steve scenes which are good and Bucky and Everleigh a little bit. I have a feeling that Bucky and her will be friends soon enough since she knows what it feels like to be tortured and experimented on. Please leave a review and let me know what you think.
