Chapter 3 World Eaters

A bright cloudy gray sky welcomed all below it, with a calm cool breeze covering a grassy land. The grass had a strange blue tint to it, tricking one to think an ocean was in front of them; though the wind blew the grass making it all move, making it look like calm sea waves.

It did give a calm feeling to anyone there, except one. Angron ran through the tall grassy land, trampling all that was in her way.

Angron grunted, growled, and cursed. Angron thought their marooning in this strange world was a wish come true, well almost. The others were here as well Angron loathed a lot of them but always hated how most of them lived in happy worlds. Welcomed by happy families. While she was raised in a world of monsters that enslaved her and ripped her mind apart, her so-called true father. The Emperor, robbed her of an honorable death, while the ones she loved were killed.

But now they were lost from the Emperor's site. Angron could fulfill her wish to be left alone. Never see battle again, to waste away. Though all of it angered her, for it was the only thing she could feel without being in immense pain. Angron suffered from the butcher's nails, a horrid device that was forced upon her to only make her feel rage.

The butcher's nails couldn't be removed, which only made it more tragic. The pain was sometimes too overwhelming, causing her to violently lash out at others, killing anything to try and cease the pain. All hated her, so Angron hated them back.

"Damn you All." She crushed under her breath.

After running for some time, she could see a treeline ahead of white aspens, with yellow leaves. Angron knew this would make a great cover to hide, so she ran into the woods. Slowly walking around, constantly darting her eyes to herself making sure nothing stalked her while trying to sneak her away through the forest. Angron slowly halted, taking deep breaths.

Angron started to remember how they all came to this world. Each Primarch was in star systems away from the other. Only for all of them to be here in a flash, no energy, no teleport. We appeared all together in the blink of an eye.

Angron sat down on the ground, laying her back against a tree. Taking a lot of deep breaths. Looking up at the sky and seeing the yellow leaves obstructing the sky. Many would think this place was calm and peaceful. it frustrated her 'what could she do to be happy?

"I wish for death." Angron whispered.

The pain in her mind continued to slowly flay her mind, every second was agony.

'AAAAAAAAA!"

A mighty scream rang out making Angron grab her chain axe to her side; A weapon so brutal it could tear the toughest metal like it was tissue paper.

She swung the giant weapon randomly and angrily, cleaving trees in half, in a blind rage. The screaming had stopped and Angron realized she lashed out for nothing.

Angron thought it was the war cry of Leman Russ. The one she loathed, who always had been many steps ahead of her, even when she bested her in combat. The wolf Queen a genuine in combat. If Angron couldn't bet her what chance would she have against all of her sisters at once?

Angron marched to where the scream came from. It was then making her way through the woods where she heard voices ahead. Angron quietly scrambled, to hide near any cover. She deeply held in her growls, trying to keep quiet.

Angron stumbled upon a deep ditch, laying her body down in it for cover. Angron gripped her fist tight, readying herself for battle. Only to hear two familiar voices passing by.

"Issei don't fall behind, you want me to carry you again." Konrad asked.

Angron recognized that voice, it was Konrad but did not know Issei, which means there was somebody else there. Though Angron was well hidden she pecked out of cover to see a human. That was looking in her direction. Angron felt something off with the person. She could feel his eyes looking right at her. But the human couldn't honestly acknowledge Angron and her present. One could say the boy was on edge you could see his eyes showing fight or flight.

Angron then watched from afar to see the Boy wasn't alone, for he was escorted by two others she knew all too well. In Angron's words were how she described them. Konrad, a psychotic, loved to make clothes out of your skin, and Rogal dorn an uncaring loyalist dog, whose emotions towards others were a brick wall. Angron then realized there was more to this boy. Some questions had been raised and Angron would find the answer no matter the cost, for she wanted to be alone, so cutting off any clue that could get us off this world must be taken care of.

Angron eyes locked on to the sacred youth. Grinding her teeth, hating what she was going to do next.

—-

After a good couple of minutes of waiting, breathing started to breathe ragged, uncontrolled. His body did not respond to his brain, Still holding his head down after the Konrad situation.

"Why did I touch her, I didn't even ask her if I could." Issei mumbled. Issei's hand slowly falls to the side in defeat. Issei fell to the ground on his knees. Rogal left him alone, here for a reason. In a panic he ran near the door trying to force it open, to only find the weight of the gate to be unmovable. Issei could do nothing as his ears began to ring.

"If you want to blame anyone Blame God." A voice echoed in his head, putting the boy in emotional pain. He wanted to scream only for him to lose his voice, for Issei was lost of breath. Issei's eyes darted around in a fast manner, trying to find another exit to this camp. He tried to scale the wall in a despite flee, Issei tried to grip the surface of the wall, but failed miserably. The pain kept getting worse, and his ears started to ring. Issei started to have images flash in his head. Images of people who cared about him only for them to turn their back on Issei.

"I'm sorry." Issei whispered.

Laying down on the cold stone floor, he tried to take calm breaths, though failed as he felt like he was choking more than breathing. Issei closed his eyes, shaking coldly, feeling no control of his body, frightening Issei to his core.

'What is wrong with you, Issei we lost because of you, I-I-I-I don't understand you anymore, why won't you look at me, Idiot, why don't you love me.' A female voice cried in his head.

"I'm sorry." Issei whispered. He sprawled on the ground. The pain in his head, heart, and soul, paralyzed him. Seconds, minutes, and hours, went by in his horribly mental state. Nobody was there; he was alone and that's what caused it all.

After a couple of deep ragged breaths, Issei slowly curled up in a fetal position, trying to calm himself down. Issei wished Rogal or Konrad were here, there was something special about them, not just their height or their beautiful features that could put gods to shame. They had an aura to them that made him feel safe. Rogal's aura glowed with control, safety, and duty. Konrad had the opposite aura, silent, and scary, but it always demanded your attention, so Issei could never be distracted by Konrad looking at him.

Slowly pulled himself off the ground. Issei coughed softly, taking deep breaths. Issei cursed himself for what he did, he thought darkly to himself. Gripping his stump of an arm.

"God I'm pathetic, look at me crying like a loser, I couldn't even hold on to the power to kill gods now look at me." Issei viciously mocked himself. "How am I supposed to help others, when I can't even help myself?"

Then before any more words could be said, a quiet thud was heard. The sound of crushed leaves and sticks gained his attention. Issei knew the sounds of steps, feeling more at ease. Rogal and Konrad had come back. Issei had full anticipations for them to return, eagerly waiting at the front of the gates. He was hungry, thirsty, and sleep-deprived. Issei decided now was the time to tell them everything, no more secrets, tell them everything, and hope that they'll do the same.

Standing his ground, waiting for them to come back. The door creaked open. Issei felt happy to see someone again, waiting for their return. Then before the gate could open it stopped.

Issei felt something felt wrong. 'Wrong as in he felt something was missing. Issei's eyes narrowed to feel nothing.

Soon the gate remained slightly open, only for silence, taking over the surrounding area. Issei noticed it too, no wind, no animals. Issei felt the hairs on the back of his neck standing up. Hearing his heart beat fast as if something is behind that door.

"Hello, Rogal." Issei yelled, waiting for a reply, Only for nothing to say anything back.

"Konrad, are you there?" Issei asked again. Still no reply.

Even though nothing was there to Issei he could feel something was present, through instinct. Issei didn't know what to do but he slowly walked away from the door.

The two gates exploded with great force, fragmented splinters flew everywhere while chunks of wood were impacted into the stone floor around Issei. While Issei was knocked to the ground. In the wake of the destruction of the gates, Issei was flung off the ground with the debris. He landed on the ground hard.

Slowly getting up he found many wooden splinters embedded in his legs that stabbed his flesh but weren't too deep, only stabbing a centimeter in his flesh. The pain was terrible like a thousand needles stabbing his legs.

Issei's eye soon went toward what caused the destruction.

As Angron stood where the gates once were. Issei looked into Angron's eyes, to see something that terrified Issei. Angron eyes were lifeless only filled with inhuman rage. Though the terror was yet to come, for Angrons gaze was locked onto Issei.

Issei's legs were wobbling, though the pain was there. Issei spoke harshly.

"Hey what the heck man!" Issei barked, in an angry tone of voice, mostly due to his injury caused by this newcomer. Angron's gaze changed into a glare that bored straight through Issei. The heated glare got worse as she soon started to take a step in Issei's direction. Issei felt fear take over.

Issei tried to take a step back, but Issei's wrong-footing made him fall on his butt. Angron stopped and looked around at the camp. Issei immediately started to pick the piece of wood from his legs.

Issei, seeing Angron's eyes weren't on him, decided to speak up. Angron touched one of the walls of the camp running her hand across it. Still looking at Issei with her dead eyes.

"Uhm hey I think your sisters are looking for you." Issei said in a nervous voice.

Angron's hand stopped. With a snort of anger, Angrons looked at Issei with her hand still on the wooden wall.

"Aw yes my-'' Angron paused, looking at Issei as she pushed down the wall she touched with great force destroying the wall itself. Issei saw how she did it with ease, those walls were thick, and possibly weighed tons. Now the wall lays in ruin with a single touch.

"Sisters!" She snarled. Angron in a fit of rage smashed another wall while stopping her feet so hard that the stone floor was demolished. Angron grabbed the ax to her side and swung wildly in the area smashing, cutting, and breaking everything Rogal made. Issei took cover from the Rampage. Hiding behind the Shetler Rogal built.

Angron growled and smashed away through the makeshift camp. Even some of the chain ax sparked off the ground, making flammable sparks waiting to burn kindle. The sparks flew all over hitting the carnage made by Angron. 'Those sparks soon turned into flames fast.'

Issei thinking fast, figuring out that he needed Rogal or Konrad's help to calm this new stranger down or at least help out anyway.

'There's no way they left me here to die, did they?' Issei thought.

When that dreaded thought came to his mind, an image flashed, of Issei lying in a pool of his blood. Issei panicked forgetting where he was quickly sprinting out into the open.

In the heat of the moment, Issei ran towards the smashed gate.

He feared to turn around, hoping not to see Angron behind him. Then Issei out of curiosity turned his head over his shoulder to see Angron smashing the rest of Rogal's work without care.

Issei moved with quick haste almost to the gate, he looked behind himself one more time to see Angron standing still, but she stopped her rampage and looked at issei with those cold eyes. Issei ran fast and was about to reach the broken gate, to suddenly felt his whole right side going numb, and was flung into the air. It took a couple of seconds in the air to realize what had just happened.

For Issei felt like he got hit by a Semi Truck. It was the only thing he could compare it to, but even still he felt like it didn't do it justice. Issei coughed up a mist of blood and spit.

The next thing Issei knew was that his back was laying on the ground in a sprawling mess. Issei realized he hit the ground hard landing wrong. His breathing, replaced with gargling, slowly turned to lay on his right side, Issei felt a liquid in his mouth begin to ooze from his lip, reaching for his mouth to wipe it away, to see red on his hand. Issei realized this was his blood. Issei looked at his hand in dazed pain. Then a giant hand grabbed him by the throat, lifting him off the ground by Issei's neck, making it hard for him to breathe. Issei was lifted off the ground by Angron. Issei was met by Angron's frustrated smile. Even Issei was scared for his life, he hated that he was defenseless and no one was here to save him.

"Who told you to leave, boy." Angron growled.

Angron fist tightened so slightly, putting pressure on Issei's neck. Issei felt his neck tighten, making it harder for him to breathe.

"Please I want to help you get out of this world-" Issei was cut off by Angron choking him.

"Get off this world, That is not gonna happen." Angron yelled in Issei's face, ringing the boy's ears, Issei's hand shook out of fear, for his own life. "So tell me boy are there any others here like you or just you."

Issei was thinking quickly about an answer but was too afraid to say anything.

"Answer me now!" Angron barked.

An emotion of panic erupted from his lips and feeling so scared for once blurted out his name. "My name Is Issei-." Angron interrupted.

"I didn't ask your name, answer me now boy." Angron growled, driving a punch into Issei's face.

He spat out blood, some teeth knocked out of his mouth. The punch was painful, but he knew she held back her strength. After she punched Issei in the face, It started to burn and his right eye started to swell. His skull was burning with pain.

"Well, are there any others here?" Angron asked, her voice filled with nothing but anger.

"No it's just me, I'm stranded here too." Issei said, trying to keep himself from freaking out, hating being at the mercy of another. Issei saw how the news made Angron have a devilish grin, it scared Issei, for her eyes showed no emotions at all, eyes belonging to a monster.

"Good." Angron lost that grin quickly and began to slowly strangle Issei. The feeling of no oxygen made Issei squirm. His eyes began to turn red as he suffocated. Desperately Issei tried free himself, but it was all for nothing. Issei felt tears start to leak out of his eyes, mouthing for Angron to stop.

Though Angron looked like she couldn't care less and continued the assault on Issei.

Issei began to start seeing darkness and watched in horror as Angron kept staring at him with those lifeless eyes, filled with only rage. Issei's hand gripped Angron's hand in a weak hold.

Angron hated what she did, but needed to do it, the chance of rescue must remain zero. She felt only rage, any other emotions would hurt too much to feel. So she shut herself off from everything, hoping to be left alone so she could feel nothing, she wanted to die alone.

Issei didn't want to die. He still had a promise to keep.

The promise to Rogal, to her sisters, and Konrad, with nothing left, he tried to fight the iron grip that was around his throat and held tightly on her hand, Angron looked at the hand trying to free its owner, then looked at Issei eyes one last time to see a determined face staring right at Angrons. Issei refused to expect the fate that played in front of him. Angron shed a tear from her right eye, even though the sadness hurt, Angron was still touched by this.

"Expect this death, it would be better for all." Angron told Issei, in an uncaring tone of voice lacking all humanity.

Issei let his hollow eyes sink into Angron. "I must -keep -my -promise." Issei said in a weak voice, then Issei felt something within him, an unknown feeling striding in him. A flow of comfort slithered in his veins. It wasn't holy, Dominic, magical, or beyond understanding, it felt natural and it wanted out.

Before Angron could do anything else, she felt something happen to her hand, Angron eyes looked to where Issei's hand touched hers to see a glow of spectacular color coming from his hand, it invaded her skin and shot straight into Angron's veins as they were illuminated by blue lights, Angron tired to kill Issei squeezing his neck bruising his throat and almost crushing his spine. Only to be stopped when an overflow of pain flooded her head.

Angron let go of Issei and gripped her head, holding in her screams so that the others wouldn't find her, but that proved to be her undoing, as she gritted her teeth so hard, Angron's gum started to bleed. Issei hit the ground like a bag of bricks, this time landing wrong on his side breaking a rip. Issei witnessed Angron suffering as she was laying on the ground holding her head in extreme pain. Holding her screams, wobbling to her knees, Angron stopped shaking like the pain was over and the glowing in her veins stopped. Angron slowly turned her rage-filled eyes to Issei making the boy think twice about what he did.

"Oh, crap." Issei muttered under his bloody breath.

Angron stood up and charged at the boy, raising her fist for a final blow, reeling her fist back. Issei watched as death approached in seconds. Angron then felt the pain in the back of her head, as some unknown force inside blew open the back of her head, making a small hole for blood spurted out of her head like a geyser covering the entire area in blood, Angron screamed bloody murder.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAA, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME BOY!" Angron screamed out.

Issei watched as Angron bleeds in pain, only for his focus to latch on the sound of tining metal, Issei watched as metal wires and spikes covered in blood bounced off the ground, landing right in front of Issei.

Angron recovering from the head explosion looked at Issei with hate in her eyes, Angron bolted forward, to try and kill Issei again. Angron's hand gripped Issei by the back of his clothing. Angron was fine after the horrible attack not even unfazed by such an extreme assault. She choked Issei hard this time bruising his neck even more. She was glad that the attack had no true resolve on her.

Angron stopped her assault to realize she felt something else but anger, without pain. She froze in bewilderment at what she was doing.

Angron then noticed everything she was doing had no pain, like a shock to her system, she was not angry. Angron looked to the ground thinking freely, to see a spiked device on the ground. Was she imagining things, is this some kind of cruel joke? Angron the world eater did not feel rage anymore.

Her hand reached for the item slowly, truly not accepting the reality that was happing to her.

Her hand reached for the butcher's nails but she hesitates. Angron couldn't believe this.

"This can't be happing, please I beg whatever power did this, please let it be true." Angron thought hopefully.

Angron's face was shocked. Tears started to build up in her eyes. The world eater was about to cry. It has to be true she could feel hope. Angron could acknowledge herself.

Her shaky hand finally touched the object. The moment she made contact, it caught on fire by itself. The flames burned a bright cosmic blue cremating the metal in this cosmic fire. In a flash, it was brunt away in seconds. The strange fire left nothing behind.

"I'm free." she whispered.

Angron looked to Issei who was still in her grip as tears began to leak from his eyes. For the first of a long time, Angron felt empathy for the person in her grip. Her mind flayed with confusion. Angron then took in her surroundings to see what she had done. The ruin she caused, now caught up to her. Looking back at Issei with a sad look on her face.

"I'm sor-" Angron tried to apologize only to hear the many footsteps, looking towards the broken gate. Konrad curse arrived first, leaping towards the gate, with her blades ejected out in the open from her forearms. They were electrified, sparking light from her crawls.

Angron held Issei close to her, as a new feeling of protection kicked in. Konrad froze as she stared at Issei, Angron noticed how Konrad held her ground, She realized that Issei must be a part of something bigger. She couldn't allow this boy to fall into any other hands, the hands that would twist and abuse the boy to no end. Angron at a fast pace held the boy close, feeling Issei going limp between her fingers. Konrad growled towards Angron, eyes that stabbed right at her.

"Let. him. Go. NOW!" Konrad spat venomously.

Soon the others show Russ and Rogal, frozen looking at Issei who was in Angron's hand, the retaliation of how important Issei was, dawned on Angron and it gave her an idea to escape. Angron held a gaze towards them and she had an idea without any pain.

Angron realized she could now outwit them, she could outthink them.

"Sisters, the advantage is mine." Angron thought in her head.
