Chapter 4

Fan Clubs and Inadequacy

I've made friends. I have made 3 friends so far while being in this academy. Furthermore, two of which are powerful monsters while another is only half-human. As for me...I'm the only human here. It's feels good to be protected by Moka-san, Kurumu-san and Yukari-chan. But...should I rely on them very often? Especially since I'm the only one who gets saved? For me, I get into too many situations where I get to be rescued by super powerful girls. And me, as a human...can do nothing to protect them in return…

Kasumi is lost in thought while standing on the school roof one day. Ever since attending this academy, her life here has been wonderful all because of Moka, Kurumu and Yukari. It made things much easier with them around. However, there may be a time where any of them might be in trouble and all she can do is watch. It pains her to think that way. She loves them way too much.

"Kasumi?" Moka's voice snaps her out of her thoughts. "Something the matter?"

"Ah….Moka-san…" Kasumi says softly and shakes her head while smiling a small smile. "No, it's nothing.

"It's alright," Moka says with a smile of her own. "If you need help, just tell me. I'm here for you, after all."

"Yeah..."

The two find themselves gazing at each other lovingly, a bit of a habit of their's. They've been the best of friends since they first got to the academy, yet they also act like a married couple. Who knows when they will actually have the courage?

"Moka-san..."

"Kasumi...~"

"Moka-san...~"

"Oh, Kasumi...~"

"Yoo-hooo~!" Kurumu's voice interrupts them, making them jump away from the succubus getting in-between them. "Kasumi-chan, let's play!"

"I don't think I can define 'play' the way you are saying it," Moka dead pans. "Besides, we were getting into the moment there."

"Excuse me," Kurumu says. "I've been seeing waaaaay too much lovey dovey from you two. You are hogging Kasumi-chan a lot and that gets on my nerves!"

"How so!?" Moka strikes back. "She's my best friend! MY number one!"

"She's also MY number one, too!" Kurumu argues, pressing her large knockers against Moka's humble ones. "I claimed her to be my soul mate!"

"How about you two be soul mates, too~?" Yukari suddenly appears in the middle and waves her wand to have them hug each other, pressing their breasts against each other.

"Y-Yukari-chan?" Moka says. "This is really awkward!"

"Yeah, stop it!" Kurumu says.

"Nope! You two should love each other!" Yukari says.

As the girls are talking amongst themselves, Kasumi just stands there with a nervous smile on her face. Yup. This is her life now.

*Later*

"Haaaah...well, it's not all that bad having friends like them," Kasumi says to herself while walking outside alone. "Moka-san a vampire, Kurumu-san a succubus and Yukari-chan a witch. And me...I'm just a human."

Just then, she is approached by three guys. Two of them are handsome and one is a little obese.

"Hey you," the man in the middle with light brown hair says. "You are that little runt, Kasumi Aoi, right?"

"Y-yes..." Kasumi backs away a step, putting a fist on her chest and her pony-tail wags a little from being terrified. "a-and...who are you?"

"Let's just say we're your enemy," the guy with glasses says. "Because you got all the girls we have crushes on."

"E-excuse me...?" Kasumi raises an eyebrow.

"Allow us to explain," the one in the middle says. "Ready? And...go!"

They spin around and change their clothes. They now wear purple light jackets with head bands on their heads.

"I, Kozo Kasahara, the Moka fanclub leader!" the brown haired guy says.

"Me, Kubisaku Nagai, photographer and fan of Yukari!" the guy with glasses says.

"And lastly!" the obese one says. "Me, Bosaburo Taira! Big fan of Kurumu!"

"We call ourselves!" the trio say in unison. "The Cute Girl Fan Club!"

Kasumi sweat drops at this. These guys are fans of Moka, Kurumu and Yukari? And they claim she is stealing them away?

"Y-you got it all wrong..." the shy girl says. "They're just my friends."

"Yes, but they are attracted to you," Kozo says. "How can they like you when you are a little runt and not have anythings special?"

"Just because I'm small and shy doesn't mean you have to put me down," Kasumi frowns. "I have potential!"

"Do you now?" Kubisaku says. "Well, what does the little runt have that we don't?"

"We get that you are so cute and small," Bosaburo says. "But do you really have potential as a monster?"

"Or is it because you're too shy to transform?" Kozo says. "You don't deserve to be friends with our girls if that's the case."

These guys are a piece of work. Kasumi recalls being called 'runt' back when she was in her old school. Even though she's attending this academy, she still gets the same treatment.

Just then, as if Bosaburo's hand gets possessed, he slaps Kubisaku's butt, knocking him to the ground.

"Hey!" the glasses wearing guy shouts. "What'd you do that for!?"

"H-hey! I didn't do that! Something made me do it!" the obese guy says.

SMACK!

"Ow! Not you, too!" Kubisaku shouts to Kozo.

"It was SO not intentional!" the brown haired guy says. "Someone made me do it!"

Kasumi gasps as she sees Yukari running towards them, waving her wand. "You get away from Kasumi, you worms!" She waves her wand again, making Kozo slap both of his friend's butts.

"OW!" both of them yelp in pain.

"Kasumi!" Moka cries as she runs toward the scene with Kurumu following.

"What the hell is going on here!?" the succubus presses.

The Fan Club turns and gasp at the sight.

"No way! Moka, my love!" Kozo swoons.

"Kurumu, baby!" Bosaburo says.

"Yukari, you'll be in my arms soon!" Kubisaku says.

"Get lost!" Kurumu says. "Kasumi doesn't need your stupid ass faces around her!"

"Fine then," Kozo says. "We'll leave. But don't think this is over, Aoi-san."

The three guys leave and Moka, Kurumu and Yukari come to Kasumi's aid.

"Are you alright?" Moka says. "They didn't hurt you, did they?"

"N-no..." Kasumi says, having both fists on her chest. "I'm fine, thanks." Only her heart hurt.

"Those assholes!" Kurumu grits her teeth. "I'm going to give them a piece of my mind!" However, when she is about to stomp off, Kasumi gently grabs her wrist.

"No...it's alright," Kasumi gives a small smile. "If I'm safe...then, it's fine."

"Kasumi-chan..."

The super girls around Kasumi just gather around, trying their best to comfort her. That's all they can do.

**Later**

"Shorty! You're a shorty, Kasumi!"

"No wonder you have to rely on the teachers to get the books you want! You're too short!"

"Little runt! That's what she is! She's nothing but a pure weakling!"

Kasumi heard the kids making fun of her left and right. There was nothing she could do to stop them. The teachers were no help either. Ever since her father passed away, her life has been a wreck. Her mother did her very best to raise her feed her and give her the best education. And fortunately, as the years went by, she got herself as a job at a clothing store, where she manages all the clothing. That earned her enough money to keep them going for a long time. Kasumi was happy, but her school life was still the same.

Her loving mother wanted her daughter to start a new life and that's when she came across the high school application for Yokai Academy. Kasumi had no choice but to accept because she loves her mother and she knew that her mother wants the best for her.

**Reality**

Kasumi wakes up from her dream and finds herself staring at the ceiling of her dorm room. She lets out a soft sigh, putting a hand on her forehead. Her life as a small and weak little girl needs to stop. If it means trying to protect the ones she loves so dearly, she has to learn how to be stronger. But how can she when she is the only human here in the monster realm?

"This sucks…" she sighs heavily. "Am I really that worthy to be friends with them…?"

She lets out another sigh.

**Next Day at Lunch**

"So…the guys were stalking us…" Kurumu says. "One by one."

"No wonder they are fans of us," Yukari says after taking a bite of her food. "Maybe a little too much."

The four girls are having lunch together in the cafeteria and spread the news about the Fan Club Trio. Each one of them were secretly watching their favorite crushes and it really creeped them out. Kurumu would've liked the popularity without having some creepiness added to it though. Plus that, having to love an obese, ugly person wouldn't really fit at all.

"Haaah…." the succubus sighs. "The main problem is Kasumi-chan here. They are targeting her the most since they found out about her getting close to us."

"Well…what are we gonna do?" Yukari panics.

"Maybe we should inform the teachers about this…" Moka suggests.

"Not going to work," Kurumu says. "I say we kick their asses. We will protect her!"

"All of you…?" Kasumi stops eating and looks up. It's that again.

"Yep~!" Kurumu says as she crosses her arms under her bosom, full of confidence. "It's a win, win! It's like killing two turds with one bone. Hehe~"

Yukari dead pans. "I think what you meant was killing two birds with one stone…"

Kasumi smiles a small smile. "That's sweet of you, but I'll be fine."

"No way!" Yukari says. "You'll get obliterated if they attack you again!"

"R-right!" Moka agrees. "After all, you're not strong enough. You're just a hu-" She quickly covers her mouth, shocked that she almost spilled the beans. She does a double take. "Wh-what I meant to say was: you're not strong enough in your human form, but I'm sure you're crazy strong in your monster form. I'm not sure what that is, but it'll be cool, right?"

"Yeah…" Kasumi says. "Sorry, but I have to go."

"Eh? No, wait. Kasumi." Moka stands up after Kasumi takes her leave, making Yukari and Kurumu look on in confusion.

Outside of the cafeteria, the pinkette manages to catch up to the shy girl and take her hand.

"Kasumi," she says. "I-I'm so sorry. I spilled the beans about you being human. Ehehehe~"

"N-no….it's not that…" Kasumi hangs her head low. "I always get saved. By you three. You all are super powerful and all I am is just a little runt who shies away from everything."

"That's not true, Kasumi," Moka says. "You have potential. I know it. You know it."

"It doesn't matter…" Kasumi says. "I have to go…"

"Kasumi, wait!" Moka cries, reaching her hand out, but the shy girl is already long gone.

**Later**

As the sun sets, Kasumi is by her lonesome, outside the campus and sitting on a hill, looking up at the orange sky.

"Haaah…" she lets out a soft sigh. "When am I going to be the useful one? It's just not fair. Oh, Moka-san…"

Just then, her pony-tail wags upon hearing footsteps coming toward her.

"Little runt, Aoi-san?" Kozo says.

"Ah!" Kasumi jumps to her feet and backs away a few steps, putting her fists on her chest. "Wh-what do you want? If you plan to hurt me, please don't. I've had enough of that already…"

"We just need to talk, Aoi," Kubisaku says. "Our fan club had a long, hard discussion today."

"Uwehhhhh…?" Kasumi whines.

**Meanwhile**

Moka is also by her lonesome, at the campus on the school roof. Light wind blows, making her hair sway. She's still worried about Kasumi and what happened earlier.

"Is she…still mad at me…?" she says to herself.

She and Kasumi share the same pain. The pain of being bullied and alone. That's why they became the best of friends. To love and protect one another. But why doesn't Kasumi understand that? Moka loves her so much. She wants to let her know that she's never alone.

"Moka!" Yukari calls as she comes running, followed by Kurumu.

"Huh? Kurumu-chan? Yukari-chan?" Moka turns toward them. "What's wrong?"

"Kasumi's not in her dorm room!" Yukari cries. "I tried to check up on her but she wasn't there!"

"Wha!?" Moka gasps.

"She may be in trouble!" Kurumu says. "I think I know just where she might be."

"Tell me!" Moka begs.

**Meanwhile**

"You three are stalkers!" Kasumi shouts, making the trio gasp. "You creeps! No wonder Moka-san, Kurumu-san and Yukari-san are disgusted with you all!"

"Wh-what did you say…!?" Kozo growls.

"I can't believe you are going on and on about liking them even though they don't like you back!" Kasumi says, stepping forward, having a fist on her chest. "Especially since you call ME out on stealing them away from you! Well, you know what? I'm glad they are on my side! At least I am kind and caring for them unlike you three!"

"Alright, that's it!" Kozo says. "If you want to piss us off more then so be it! We're outside of campus, so we're allowed to do this! Boys!"

Kozo spins around and transforms into an umbrella monster. Kubisaku stretches his neck so long and that's all. And Bosaburo just turns into a huge blob. Kasumi squeaks and backs away a few steps, however, after taking a good look at them, she raises an eyebrow.

"W-wait a minute…" she says. "Those are your true forms?"

"Yeah, so what?" Kozo the umbrella monster says. "You expecting something flashy?"

"You're right to look at us that way!" Bosaburo says. "After all…!"

"All the girls look for cool and badass monsters!" Kubisaku says. "But you! You are a yuri, but you still get the girls, especially our crushes! That's so not fair!"

"A little runt that is a yuri"! Kozo says. "That's how she got all of our crushes!"

"Y-yes…I don't think there's anything wrong with that…" Kasumi tries to protest. "Yuri is a wonderful thing to look at. I-I mean…ummm…"

"Kasumiiiii!" Moka calls from above.

Kasumi looks up to see Kurumu carrying both Moka and Yukari. The succubus starts to fly over toward Kasumi and the fan club trio.

"Don't worry! We got you!" Kurumu says as she gently sets down Moka and Yukari and then the succubus and Yukari face the trio. "What…is that…?" Kurumu says in disgust.

"Doesn't matter!" Yukari says as she raises her wand. "We have to push them away regardless!" She waves it and it fires a large beam, sending the three of them crashing into a rock wall and falling on their faces.

Meanwhile, Moka comes to Kasumi's aid. "Kasumi! Are you alright!?" she asks.

The brunette looks away with a sad expression. "There it goes again. I'm being saved by you powerful girls…"

SMACK!

Kasumi's eyes widen at the sudden slap Moka gave her. Tears form in the pinkette's eyes.

"Moron!" the cute vampire shouts. "You don't get it, Kasumi! We're friends, right? We have each other's backs. We are all in this together. You said it yourself…"

"Yes, but…" Kasumi bites her lip. "Why am I always the one getting saved?"

"That's not true at all~!" Yukari hops toward her. "Don't you remember? You saved me through your kind words~"

"That's right," Kurumu adds. "And you saved me from the other Moka."

"Yukari-chan…Kurumu-chan…" Kasumi breathes.

"So you see," Moka says. "We're even. There's nothing to worry about. You said this, too. We are ALL yuri! So it's fine~"

"Moka-san…" Kasumi says. Small tears form in her eyes, but they are happy ones. "Yes…thank you very much."

The fan club trio watch as their crushes are getting affectionate with Kasumi again. The guys are crying rather silly, really.

"Ohhhhh…!" Kozo says. "That looks…so beautiful…!"

"So that's what yuri looks like!" Kubisaku says.

"Forget being fans of our crushes!" Bosaburo says. "Let's all be big fans of Kasumi instead! Alright, boys, together!"

They revert back to their human forms and rush over toward the girls.

"What do you guys want!?" Kurumu says. "Stay back or I'll shred you to pieces!" She lashes out her claws.

"N-no wait!" Kozo says. "We have something important to say to Aoi!"

"Eh…?" Kasumi points to herself and backs away a few steps. Moka rushes in and hugs her in a protective manner.

"Aoi!" Kubisaku says. "Forgive us for our rude behavior earlier! We've truly been thinking this over just now."

"Yeah!" Bosaburo says. "So we've decided…!"

The trio slide toward Kasumi and bow their heads, saying in unison, "WE WOULD LIKE TO MAKE YOU THE YURI QUEEN! WE ARE NOT WORTHY! WE ARE NOT WORTHY!"

"Eh….EEEEEEHHHHHH!?" Both Kasumi and Moka squeak in unison.

"It's true!" Kozo says. "We saw a beautiful yuri moment with our own eyes! I swear!"

"Aoi was right!" Kubisaku says. "Yuri IS a wonderful thing to see! So from now on…!"

"We'll be yuri fans!" Bosaburo finishes. "We'll worship you, Yuri Queen Kasumi!"

Kasumi bites her lip as she looks down at the trio. "Y-you bullied me earlier. How can I trust what you say?"

"I don't blame you one bit," Kozo says. "But believe us, we realized what we're doing and how it made everything awkward. But from now on, we'll be proper fans and that is going for yuri."

"Please give us a chance," Kubisaku says. "In fact, we won't bother you if you don't like be worshipped. Besides, I think the girls right in front of you should worship you, really."

"Ah…" Kasumi looks over at Moka, Kurumu and Yukari, who are smiling at her. She then turns back toward the trio, smiling a small smile. "Okay. I forgive you. You three have learned your lesson it seems. I hope you find a better life for yourselves."

With that, she turns and walks toward her group of friends and Moka and the other girls give her a group hug.

The trio turn toward each other while walking the opposite way.

"So…who do you ship?" Kubisaku asks. "I ship Aoi x Kurumu!"

"Dude, Kurumu x Moka should be the one who gets shipped!" Bosaburo counters.

"Please!" Kozo says. "All of you are dumb idiots! Can't you see that Moka x Aoi are the top ship? You can tell from just looking at them! They were practically blushing!"

The guys start laughing, having fun with this yuri shipping war. They keep on walking until one thing comes to mind.

"Wait a minute!" Kozo says. "I know another yuri ship that might be fun!"

"Oh, what is it, dude~?" Bosaburo asks.

"What if we do a teacher x student yuri ship~?" Kozo says.

"Huh? Who would you want to ship that is like this?" Kubisaku asks.

Kozo snaps his fingers. "Why…Kasumi x Nekonome-sensei of course~!"

His two friends fall silent just for a second before chuckling.

"You know what? That's not all that bad," Kubisaku says with a smile.

"That's one ship all of us can agree with~" Bosaburo says, also smiling.

**Later**

The next morning while walking to school, things have turned back to normal. No sudden bullying or anything. And most importantly, Kasumi feels a little better about herself. And it makes Moka happy.

"Hey, Kasumi…?" she says softly.

"Yes, Moka-san?" the brunette turns her attention to the pinkette.

"Can I be completely honest with you?" the cute vampire says as she fiddles with her school bag. "Being a yuri? It's…very fun when I'm with you. You and I. I…I don't know how to say this clearly…"

"Y-you can do it," Kasumi says. "What do you want to say?"

"Ummm…" Moka shakes her head and turns toward the shy girl, putting her hands on the brunette's shoulders. "You. Complete. ME!"

"Eh!?" Kasumi gasps. "N-no way…!"

"Yes way!" Moka blushes and licks her lips. "Oh, when I'm this close to you, you smell so delicious~! Mmmm…I wanna taste right now!"

"W-w-w-wait, Moka-san! We'll be late for class-WAH!" Kasumi gets tackled to the ground and gets bitten on the neck.

CAPU-CHUUUUUUUU~!

A/N: Ahaha.

Dark Knight reference. XD Just had to do that.

To be honest, this chapter is rather boring. I didn't quite have fun with it. I know what you're thinking. If I didn't have fun with it, I shouldn't have wrote it. But I had to write something based on the anime somehow. Hehe!

However, the next chapter with the swimsuits and everything? That might be fun except for one thing: Moka getting hurt. Seeing her almost kill herself saving Tsukune in the anime just….hit me hard, you know? Her drowning because of her weakness to water. As much as I don't want to write that, I have to. I just need to tone it down just a bit. I'll figure something out.
