Chapter 6

Wolf and a She-Wolf

Since being at Yokai Academy, Moka-san and I have finally joined a club together. Maybe this is the opportunity to get closer to her.

For me, I was never really interested in guys because most of them pick on and ridicule me. I wonder if I'm able to gain their trust again….

"Alright, everyone!" Nekonome says. "Welcome to the Newspaper club!"

There are only 4 members. Moka, Kasumi, Kurumu and Yukari. It's strange but it's better than nothing.

"Now the rules are, you get to write articles based on what you see here at this academy," Nekonome explains. "Take pictures and write stories! Exciting ones! Whatever is on your mind. We publish and sell them to students afterwards!"

Kasumi gets an idea and holds out a pink camera. Moka takes notice.

"Oh, that's a cute camera," the pinkette says.

"Y-yeah…I wanted to be a photographer someday," Kasumi says softly. "I kept this camera from my mother when she let me use it for fun. I love taking pictures."

Kurumu jumps up excitedly. "You have a camera!? Come on! Snap a picture of me while I do a sexy pose!"

"Not gonna happen!" Yukari shouts.

Things would have happen for the girls in the Yokai academy. A werewolf named Gin is smirking and he likes the idea about this sexy poses and stuff like that.

Yeah~! This is gonna be making some big bucks ya know~

He notices that there is a new girl that he never took any notice at all and hums, mumbling to himself, "For someone who seems to have issues, probably someone needs a friend or something."

For the girls part, a girl with long purple hair, seems to be observing and she seems to be licking and sucking on the lolipop and shaking her head since she's modest about her body.

"This is Gin, our club president~" Nekonome introduces. "If you have any questions, ask him, okay?"

Kasumi hides behind Moka when he takes a good look at her. Her pony-tail wags a little when she got attention from him.

"I see I get to have the ladies~" he smiles at them. "What a lucky day for me~" He approaches the pony-tailed girl "And who might you be?"

Kasumi slightly turns her head away. This is the first time in years she is actually talking to a guy. Though she is afraid he might pick on and ridicule her.

"She's just…shy," Moka says. "Sorry about that."

"Oh no worries," Gin says. "We're all friends here so it's okay."

Kasumi takes a peak and speaks softly. "U-ummm…I'm Kasumi…Aoi. N-nice….to meet you…."

"Ahhhhh~ Nice to meet you~" Gin smirked and was being a proud man that he is, "Don't worry about me, guys like me are harmless~"

"President," Nekonome sighs and he does have more times on showboating, "You might have made the girl scared of you."

"Are you saying that she doesn't like men?!" Gin gasps and obviously it is comical with the girl face palmed.

"That's not even remotely close at all." She face palms, "But yes, you have to learn on having tact."

"Uh-huh?" The werewolf nods and faces Moka, "Is that her talent?" Pointing out ponytail is wagging.

Is she one of my kind? This is an interesting turn of events here if that was the case.

"You could call it that," Moka answers. "Oh I'm sorry. My name is Moka Akashiya. Pleased to meet you." She politely bows.

"I'm Kurumu Kurono!" The succubus says.

"And I'm Yukari Sendo!" The witch says. "I am young but a super smart girl! That's why I enrolled here~"

"Pleased to meet you all fine ladies~" Gin smiles, showing his shining white teeth. "Let's get along from now on~" He turns to Kasumi, who gasps and backs away a few steps.

"Aoi, come on. There's no need to be afraid," Gin says.

"Well anyways, I'll leave the rest to you~" Nekonome takes her leave. "Have fun~" With that, the teacher has left the room.

Gin grins from having all the ladies to himself. Not one guy in sight. But what he takes most interest in is Kasumi. He keeps on wondering if she is part of his kind.

No guys on the spot huh? Gin is feeling this and because of that, he is having fun to see this one unfold, That's new. But then again, that Kasumi right there... Is she like me or just a mere human being to begin with? This is so interesting.

Yukari puts her hands on her hips and is calling the wolf out, "Why are you grinning like that you stupid dog? Don't let this genius wait."

"Ara~" Kurumu giggles, "For someone who is the club president, he does have some hormones rising up~" She can tell as her kind can feel if someone is horny or not.

"Hehehe... He's actually weird." Moka sweat drops and chuckles nervously while hearing him chuckling as that is her first impression. Kasumi does indeed feel that Gin does want some ladies and she's scared if he's the same like every guy she met in the past.

Later*

"Let's hang posters as the first assignment!" Gin says as he holds up some rolls. "They go up there on the bulletin board"

"All the way up there?" Kurumu asks. "Wait, I don't get it. How are we advertising when it's so high up?"

"Ohhhh, I do believe that it is advertising~" Gin smirks. "Just you wait and see~"

"Ohhhhh~" Kurumu is having a sly smile on her face as she is curious about what Gin is actually planning at the moment, "What are you planning~?"

"Again," He winks and telling her, "That's a secret and you know it~"

I don't know what is he planning, but that smirk of his does bring some bad news if women aren't weary, Yukari thinks and she knows it due to his antics and such.

"Come on!" He claps and wanted this to give it a go, "Chop Chop! We have to make everyone see this advertisement!"

Moka and Kurumu are handed step ladders and are hanging the posters as high as they could go. Kasumi stays behind because she is too shy to. However, her pony-tail wags as she sees something suspicious. Or it may be suspicious to her. Is Gin looking down? At their…

"O-oh….no…!" Kasumi gasps quietly.

Gin is a pervert! She cannot deny it. She is actually seeing him as a pervert!

Though the difference is that, she can feel that he's not really a harmful pervert like every man she sees back then. He's just a weirdo and an idiot for somone who is the President.

The treasure! I have seen the treasure and I could tell that there is a price of good people!

"I knew it." Yukari deadpans, "This president is an idiot who thinks he can get it. Who would fall for something as obvious as that?"

Blinking, he glances at Kasumi again and seeing that her pony tail is wagging. Being a wolf, he does have sharp eyesight and squinting his eyes.

Why is it wagging again, her hair? This is such a mystery if she's like me, another creature... Maybe... For the impossible, a human. He shakes his head and just does what he needs to do, Nevermind, I'll investigate later.

Moka and Kurumu finish hanging the posters and climb down, wiping the sweat from their foreheads.

"Whew! That was difficult," Moka sighs heavily.

"My back was killing me…!" Kurumu says.

"Uuuu…" Kasumi whines, buckling her legs together, trembling at what she just saw. What will the other girls do if she tells them about Gin's true colors? For now, she needs to investigate the matter, but at the same time, she is afraid to. What if this guy turns out to be the same as the others?

Late Afternoon*

It's sunset and Kasumi is about to head to her dorm when her pony-tail wags at hearing footsteps coming toward her from behind.

"Yo! Aoi!" He calls. "You got a minute? I need to speak to you about something!"

Kasumi backs away a little, clutching her bag to her chest.

"I won't bite…like literally," Gin smiles. "Come. I'll take you to the school roof and we'll talk."

Kasumi is actually cautious about him as the two of them are walking, while Gin isn't the idiot that she sees. In fact, what he's curious about is her ponytail and what kind of monster is she.

As the both are in the rooftops, he crosses his arms and he smells her in the distance. He smirks, taking a serious turn.

"I know that you are seeing me like every man you see." He hums and Kasumi blinks. How did someone who is perverted, yet moronic, can tell, "However, you are a mystery."

"W-Why... Are you... Saying that...?" She's trying to muster up the courage to talk to this guy, "B-Because... of my... Actions?"

"Partly." He nods and looks at her, "Nobody can wag their hair like that. I'll ask you, what kind of a creature are you?" For someone who is comically perverted and moronic, he does have some intuition in him.

Of course someone like him would ask that. This is the monster realm after all. However, she cannot blame him from seeing her pony-tail wagging like that.

"I…I, ummmm….always get like that when I'm excited…" Kasumi tries to explain. "Or when I sense…something…"

"That's something a dog would do," Gin says. "Or better yet…a she-wolf."

"Eh!?" Kasumi gasps. "Wh-why would you think I'm a….w-werewolf!?"

"Simple, really," Gin says as he takes a few steps closer. "Your pony-tail, how you explained how it gets like that. You ARE just like me."

Is he kidding? Kasumi is shocked that he would guess that her true form is a werewolf when she isn't nearly as close to acting like one.

"I know. You hid it because you were afraid that I would go after you like you're my prey," he says. "But you know what? I'm not a bad guy. I just like to be a ladies man."

"Th-then…what do you call this…" Kasumi holds out her camera to show a picture of him staring at girls' panties.

Gin is shocked that Kasumi was observing him and is squinting his eyes, chuckling and he has to clear up such acts. He looks at her, humming.

"You do know that, someone like me does have an uncontrolable hormones since you can see wolves and dogs on documentaries." He explains and has to make sure that this is something that his wolf "dog" side is telling him.

"E-Even dogs... Don't do such things..." Kasumi says, still believing that Gin is nothing more than a pervert who uses his position for his own amusement.

"Then," It turns out that these two are debating ever since Kasumi is talking a picture as evidence of his perversion, "Why some dogs would hump someone on the leg, especially if they are women kind or even human... Which I haven't seen here before?" He smirks and this is like a battle of the wits and Gin has to keep about not letting the girls becoming his prey.

Kasumi doesn't say anything. This topic is getting weirder and weirder by the minute. She cannot let him pounce on her if this keeps up.

"I…I gotta go…" Kasumi turns to leave but gets gently grabbed by the shoulder.

"Wait," he begs. "Don't go yet. You have yet to hear my true feelings."

"I…I don't want to…" Kasumi shakes her head roughly. "You're just the same as them…"

"Possibly," Gin says. "But you know what? I will tell you something that the men you see don't have: love."

Kasumi blinks twice as the sun goes down, darkness taking over. He smiles and holds out his hand.

"I love you, Aoi," he says. "If we can make this work, you and I will be a wonderful couple."

She is shocked, how would someone like him fall in love when he's just a perverted idiot? She shakes her head and letting herself go.

"If you weren't dumb and perverted..." She sighs and looking at him dead in the eye without any stuttering, "... Maybe. But again, improve yourself first." She obviously rejected him. Even if she likes a man, it won't be someone like Gin and yes. She may not like guys romantically or her feelings for guys isn't that strong.

He is shocked and shaking his head, "W-What? Why aren't you liking to someone like me!? Can't you tell that I can be a gentleman if given by a chance?"

She decided to turn her back on him without even bowing which she usually does, "Then, prove me wrong if you aren't the same as every man I see." This response is more appropriate if he's worth of her time as a friend.

"Before that..." Gin squints his eyes, "Answer me honestly, what kind of a creature are you? Again a ponytail that is wagging shows that you are a different creature or the same as I do."

Kasumi doesn't give eye contact. "You know it's the rules to tell our true forms…."

"School's over already," Gin says. "Alright, look, I will show you my form and you do the same after, got it?" He looks up and the full moon shows. "Haaah…just like I want it~"

"Eh….what are you talking about?" Kasumi turns her head.

"Behold, Aoi~" Gin begins to change form. He grows twice his size, hair grows from all over his body. His face changes to a wolf's head. He howls after the transformation is complete.

Kasumi falls on her behind, backing away a little. This werewolf appears to be bigger than what she read in books.

"Now it's your turn, little one!" The werewolf says. "I can't wait!"

Kasumi trembles in fear. This guy is nuts. He really wants a piece of her.

"N-NOOOOOOOO!"

Moka and the others hear Kasumi's cry for help.

"Oh, no!" Yukari says. "Kasumi is in trouble!"

"We have to save her!" Kurumu says.

The three start running as fast as they could until they get to the school roof. Moka notices the werewolf standing over poor Kasumi and gasps in horror.

"Kasumi, run!" Moka cries.

The Werewolf stares at them and snarling since he really wants the true form of Kasumi since he hates that she doesn't share about her form, "Why are you all here!? I'm not gonna harm her and I just want to see her form that she's hiding!"

"This idiot..." Yukari mumbles to herself and then facing him. "Look stupid dog, even if you want to tell her what form she wants, isn't that invasion of privacy?"

"Shut up kid!" He growls and looking at Kasumi, smirking, "Now, show us your true form right here , right now!" It is true that he looking nuts but what he wants from her is what kind of monster she is.

Kurumu sighs and observing the male dog, shrugging and humming, "If that were the case, wouldn't it be nice if Kasumi-chan is the one who'll show us her form?"

"Y-Yeah," Moka has to calm the situation down and Gin does listen like a dog who'll listen to someone who is kind to them, "S-So... Kasumi-chan, even I'm curious about it since you said, your pony tail wagging is a talent." She looks at the girl, scared if Gin would attack her. By the looks of it, he doesn't.

"Yeah!" The wolf agrees, "What are you as to why you are so secretive to everyone here?"

Kasumi just turns her head away. This is going nowhere and he would keep on hounding her to show her true form if this keeps up. Moka cannot stand it and gets in front of Kasumi to protect her friend.

"That does it!" She says. "Let's settle this! I will show you MY true form! If I win, you let go of your antics!"

"And if I win?" The werewolf asks.

"You may do as you please…." Moka says with determination.

"Very well," he says. "I accept your challenge. Though I do not know what your true form is either since you also look as innocent as Aoi."

"Looks can be deceiving," Moka says as she turns to her friend. "Ready, Kasumi?"

The pony-tailed girl nods and stands up. She takes the shy girl's hand in hers and guides it to her rosary. Kasumi pulls it off and Moka transforms into her Inner Self. She poses as the Werewolf looks at her in awe.

"What beauty!" He says. "Okay! You are soooo hot! I'm going for two! A package deal!"

"Save your breath!" Vampire Moka says as she charges at him. "You're not laying a finger on me!"

But the Werewolf quickly evades the attack, as if he teleported.

"H-he's so fast!" Kasumi gasps.

"You idiot. Do you think that you can win against me when I'm exposed in the full moon!?" Gin smirks and he is using his speed like he got the speed of light.

Vampire Moka is in her fighting stance and is looking as to where would he attack and where will he go next, As expected for a werewolf, they are boosted when they are fully exposed in the moon.

"Take this!" He goes for a slash against Inner Moka, but she dodges it before trying to grab his furry arm. However, she does get caught by the right arm, he kicks her arm to let it go and he is spinning gracefully while landing on his feet.

"Not bad~" Gin licks his lips before howling in satisfaction, "You must be the strongest one~" He feels the fire within him, "I can't wait to have two ladies with me and even the true form of Kasumi~" He dashes in such speed that he's like disappeared right in front of Moka's eyes.

The Inner one seems to be closing her eyes, using her ears to see what he can do. Just as he goes for a slash at the right, she dodges and goes for the elbow right through the gut. Gin sees this one coming and blocked it, but is shocked that he was staggering back at a good measure.

"You can even sense me even when I'm in my hometurf advantage." He compliments, like a dog that is excited to play.

He uses his speed again to create distance and then bounces off the wall to slash Vampire Moka. She stumbles back as part of her clothing gets torn off.

"MOKA-SAN!" Kasumi cries, having both fists on her chest.

Gin bounces off the wall again for a big finish. But Moka easily grabs his wrist and the speed stops abruptly.

"What the!? What's going on!?" He looks up and clouds roll over the moon. "Ahhh, Dammit! It's not faiiiir! If the moon is hidden,

My powers are uselesssss!"

The girls except Moka deadpan at this.

Yukari sweat drops and the man whines at the situation, "I knew it. He's an idiot."

Kurumu chuckles nervously after her deadpan look, "Ara~ He's a funny man when the moon isn't by his side."

"What….?" Kasumi's expression remains a deadpan and that he's indeed an idiot. Gin whines some more.

"I was this close of winning! Stupid clouds making my chance of winning go down! This sucks!"

Vampire Moka smirks at this, just a little bit. She has the home field advantage now. But Gin decides he will not give up just yet.

"I can't let a vampire beat me," he growls. "Even if I don't have my ability, there are other options."

Vampire Moka just gives him a cold stare.

"You'll be my she-wolf in no time!" He raises his claw. "Along with your friend! Ya hear me!?"

But Vampire Moka grabs his arm. "Pathetic mutt. You are a worthy opponent but you are not nearly as worthy to be with me or Kasumi." She throws his arms up and kicks him on the side and then does a roundhouse. "KNOW YOUR PLACE!"

When the kick connects to his jaw, he is spinning like a top and he then gets knocked out with a comical looking on his face as it is funny to see: Drooling and his eyes are swirling, laughing softly.

"Sounds like he will not know what Kasumi's form is." Yukari whistles and shrugs, ignoring that this guy is there due to Moka having such power.

"That's a mystery that we will never know~" Kurumu cups her cheek and giggling at the situation. Because the moon is covered, Gin goes back to his human form and yet still out cold due to Moka's strength.

"You have a promise to keep, boy," Vampire Moka says. "I advise you follow it." She then approaches the trembling Kasumi, which she notices some big scratches on her right arm.

"Y-you're bleeding!" She panics.

"It's nothing really," Vampire Moka replies, flipping her hair. "I've taken injuries way worse than this."

"St-still! You need to get treated!" Kasumi digs into her bag and pulls out her first aid kit to pull out some bandages.

As the shy girl is treating Vampire Moka's wound, the silver haired beauty finds herself feeling she has never felt before: she is blushing.

'I did say... If he wasn't pervert and an idiot... Maybe I will... Bu-But, she's on a whole new level." Kasumi thinks and yes, she has never done it before: blushing someone with the same sex. She does want to admit that Gin is sane if he wasn't going nuts and gets perverted.

"Don't worry about that," Yukari decides to go to them and having her research to know what kind of a creature is Kasumi, while knowing that Gin is a werewolf, dog creatures have sharp sense of smell and hearing. She added, "Maybe I have some theories about you, Kasumi."

She stops her daydreaming and looks at Yukari, wondering about it, "Wh-What do you mean?" Moka seems to be fine and she looks cool even with those scars coming from Gin.

"You haven't turned into a werewolf or a she-wolf when the full moon has arrived." Kurumu comments and hums, "Maybe Kasumi-chan is indeed something else."

Kasumi is a bit relieved, but also scared since they are now wanting to find out the truth about her. By the time she finishes treating Vampire Moka's wound, she gives a nod of satisfaction.

Vampire Moka just snatches the rosary from her hand. "If you want my gratitude…then, you should also thank the other Moka for saving you." She puts the rosary back on, reverting to her old self. She collapses in Kasumi's arms, unconscious for a bit.

Kasumi catches Moka and is smiling, happy that someone saved her and then she notices that Yukari, being a genius of knowledge that she is, was trying to make theories about her, "About the pony tail wagging, how did you manage to do that? Even the dumb dog was wondering about it as well."

Kurumu also wants Kasumi to tell them the truth and of course, if they knew about it or not, she's scared that they might kill her or just want to tell them about it since even Moka is curious about.

Yukari hums, "Are you a different creature... Or as what the school and everyone has despised, a human." She shakes her head, "Not impossible, no human being can do that."

There are so many things going on in Kasumi's mind. If she keeps on hiding it, they are going to keep on prying. But on the other hand, she just needs to hold on for a while longer. But eventually, she HAS to tell them at some point.

"I…will tell you when the time comes," she chooses her words carefully. "I transferred here not too long ago, so…it might be quite a shock to you once I finally tell you the truth."

"Well..." Yukari, being small yet logical of the two, crosses her arms and nods, "I hoped that I'm wrong because you know the history of the monsters and the humans."

"Yep." Kurumu says and is also wondering about her, yet decides not to pry it, "If you want to tell, at least tell it to Moka-chan in secret while also the reason of the pony tail swinging, something that is of Dog-Like creatures or any creature that has a tail."

Kasumi sighs in relief and smiles. "Thank you, everyone. This means a lot."

She knows it would be a shock for them once she tells them the whole truth. And how they react would be the main problem. But until then, she has to be prepared for the worst.

Next Day*

"EEK!" Moka squeaks. "Why are you looking at me like thaaaat!?" She is hanging up another poster and is seen by Gin.

"Y-y-you promised…!" Kasumi whines.

"Ehhhh~?" He has a sly smile and he promises to himself that he wants to know the mystery of Kasumi, "I'm not stopping until I get the answer~"

"It's fine." Moka looks at Kasumi and assures her that he doesn't have to harm her. She faces him, "You know, even to those who are to close to her here doesn't know what kind of creature she is."

"Not even you?!"

"Not even me." She smiles and wants him to not going too far of his gags.

"Well this is getting riled up already~" Kurumu says.

"Gin truly is an idiot…" Yukari shrugs.

"Kasumi!" Moka hugs her best friend. "Let's have some fun instead of hanging posters!"

"Aw come on!" Gin complains. "You were just getting started!"

"Too bad~" Kurumu says. "Bad dogs like you don't get any treats~"

Moka cuddles the shy girl and then opens her mouth to bite into her neck.

A/N: I asked Flops-kun to help me with this cause I was super stuck. So I would like to thank him for that. And frankly, I enjoyed it. Doing some major changes from the episode and so on. Yeah I loved it. Now I can finally do Mizore's tale. I will enjoy that one.
