Hey guys, I hope you enjoy this chapter guys, we all know what's coming.

JjlovesPJO: I hope it's not too confusing for you!
Guest: That's not the real spoiler, but a lot of your other questions would lead to spoilers- Percy and Sadie will get better fairly soon, after all, we all know what's coming and Sadie will actually get to know her soon. But she's had training in magic and controlling water.
Undeath9087: Yep, and I love it when she does- and how she reacts, I love those scenes so much.
The Official Clarisse: I have plans, you will have to wait and see, mwahahaha. Though the first time she hosts a god she won't be using too much power from them I will say that. And the Fausts blame him from their daughters death- which is stupid. And I would say sort of- I mean, he has the dreams about Poseidon and Zeus fighting.
Ryan Fowler: Carter in the background just like 'Oh gods no stop blowing stuff up you two!' While Percy and Sadie just cackle madly.
Superstary: I mean in canon Carter becomes the Pharaoh, and Carter is a protective big brother. So make of that what you will.
Drizzle: I can't say for sure yet but I have plans- and it will be different from what happens in canon. And yes, Sadie will, give her time.
Guest: Well, at the risk of giving spoilers, Apophis will be dealt with before that, but there will be Egyptian interference and that is all I'll say.
Things had shifted slightly after Percy's nightmare. Julius had become busier, much more paranoid too. Percy had heard her mom and dad having whispered conversations in the dead of night, had seen that both of them had looked upset and worried most mornings- and her dad was more affectionate with her and Carter, which wasn't normal- usually when he was worried about the House hunting for them he became more stern and strict.
It was definitely something to do with Percy's dream, her dad was preparing for something big.
They arrived in London the day before visitation day with Sadie- the 23rd of December.
They spent most of the day in the hotel they'd booked, Julius spent most of it on the phone, while Sally got to work baking cookies, a selection of different Christmas themed cookie, and she recruited Carter and Percy to help her make them and decorate them.
When they'd finished Sally dragged Julius away from his calls, taking pictures of all of them together- Percy found herself more worried about that than anything else. Maybe Carter hadn't noticed it- but he didn't know everything.
Their parents were trying to make everything as happy as they could while it could- they were preparing for if something went wrong- Percy just wasn't sure what it was that might go wrong. It was stressful to say the least.
That night Percy didn't sleep, she ended up slipping out of her bedroom at gone midnight, and she wasn't surprised to find her dad up, a lamp casting a soft light on the seating area- he was reading, though he lifted his head when he heard footsteps. "Percy. Couldn't sleep?"
"Something coming isn't it?"
"Yes." Julius didn't bother to lie, a fact that Percy was grateful for. "But if all goes well everything will be fine princess-"
"What if all doesn't go well."
"Then I need you to be brave." he put down the book he was reading and held out an arm.
Percy took the obvious invitation, darting towards him and dropping onto the couch next to him, tucking herself into her dads side, "And I need you to look after Carter and Sadie if things go wrong, okay?"
"But they're bigger than me."
"And you know magic. And you know about the gods- more than Carter or Sadie- you know how important they are. You'll be their guide." Julius' eyes were shining with worry. "But let's not worry too much now. That's just if the worst comes to the worst- it shouldn't do. As long as I'm smart." he gently brushed his fingers through Percy's long dark curls.
"Dad-"
"Hush." he pressed his lips to the top of her head, "Let's just have tonight. Tell me my little princess, are you to old for me to tell you stories?"
"No." Percy said after a moment, "I'll never be too old for that daddy."
"Good." Julius pressed the top of her head, "Do you want Greek or Egyptain this time?"
"I think I want Egyptian." Percy decided after a long moment. "That okay daddy?"
"Of course." Julius shifted slightly, letting Percy cuddle in closer to his side. "Let me see." he paused, "Shall I tell you your favorite?"
"Oooh." Percy nodded, "Yes please."
"Well then." Julius combed his fingers through Percy's hair, "Let me tell you the story of how Osiris became the God of the Underworld."
And Percy closed her eyes, letting her fathers words wash over her as he launched into the familiar tale.
Percy had heard it a million times before, but it was her favorite Egyptian myth, despite darkness in the tale- Julius had expected her favorite god to be one one of the sea gods- but no, maybe it was because it as one of the stories he'd always been most fascinated by.
In any case, it did what he had hoped for, by the time he was finishing the story Percy was asleep.
Julius hesitated, considering his options, but after a moment of thought he carefully shifted, grabbing a blanket that was slung over the arm of the couch and unfolding it as awkwardly as he could with one hand, and then he carefully pulled it so that it was covering both of them before shifting so that they'd both be comfortable.
That was how Sally found them the next morning- and she took several pictures on her phone before she shook them awake- and after waking Carter they had breakfast- blue chocolate chip pancakes- Carter had grown a taste for blue food just like his baby sister, and after the breakfast they got dressed- it was visitation day after all- Percy had heard her mom and dad talking about it all quietly- usually he gave Percy the choice- Sadie was often kind of mean to her- Percy didn't blame her but still, it didn't mean she wanted to hang around someone who was mean to her, but the choice wasn't offered this time, she was just told to get dressed and to be ready to go.
So she was. And when they left the hotel Percy noticed how her dad and mom clung to each other as they said goodbye. They were both worried, that made Percy worried- and as they left she noticed how he kept glancing behind them- thankfully the hotel wasn't too far from the Fausts home so they walked there- and they picked up Sadie as if it was just another day.
And to be fair, to Carter and Sadie it clearly did seem like a normal visitation day. Neither of them had picked up on the fact that something was going on.
And it was a good day, Julius took them to go on the London Eye after they had some lunch, though Percy stayed on the ground with him- even if she'd gotten used to flying, and she knew her amulets hid her from the Greek gods, she still wasn't a huge fan of heights,
Carter and Sadie were maybe half way up when Percy noticed her dad tensing beside her, and she followed his gaze, blinking slowly when she saw a man stood a short distance away from them, watching.
He was barrel shaped, with skin the color of roasted coffee. His coat and black pinstriped suit looked expensive. He had long braided hair and wore a black fedora pulled down low over his dark round glasses. Percy had the funny feeling that she'd seen him before, though she couldn't quite remember when.
In any case it was very obvious that her dad recognised him. That was worrying to say the least. "Dad? The Per Ankh?"
"No." Julius shook his head, laying a hand on Percy's shoulder, squeezing it gently. "I don't believe so. I need to go and speak to him."
"Who is it dad?"
"My brother."
"Brother?" Percy blinked, "I-"
"You met him once before." Julius gave her a stern look, "You wait here for Carter and Sadie sweetheart." he glanced up at the pod that held the two Kane's,
"And you tell them both to wait for me here. I shouldn't be gone too long."
"What if they ask what's going on?"
"Do not tell them anything." Julius' voice was firm, "I know it's hard sweetheart but you know how important it is that they don't find out until the time is right."
"Dad-"
"No." Julius' voice was sterner than usual, his eyes narrowed slightly. "Persephone Ariadne Kane, you know that if I say something's important then it's important darling."
"I-" Percy let out a breath, pulling a face, "Okay daddy. Okay I'll tell them you just told me to wait here."
"Good girl." Julius pressed his lips to the top of Percy's head before he walked quickly over to the man, and Percy watched him go, her eyes narrowing.
A part of her wanted to listen in on them but she was smart enough to know that she'd be in trouble if she did- and with how stressed both of her parents had been- she didn't want to make things worse than they probably already were.
Eventually Percy looked away, her gaze shifting towards the London Eye, her eyes searching for Carter and Sadie- and she smiled slightly when she saw Carter and Sadie, and Carter was grinning down at her- they were on their way down at this stage- and Percy saw Sadie slapping Carter's shoulder and pointing towards Julius and Amos- Percy forced herself not to wince- she didn't know Sadie that well really, but she knew that Sadie didn't like being told what to do, and she knew that the older girl would want to know who their dad was talking to and there was no way that she'd listen to Percy even if Carter did.
And she wouldn't listen to Carter for that matter.
Percy groaned to herself, glancing towards her dad and the man he was talking to.
She cursed quietly under her breath as the pod holding Carter and Sadie slowly moved down until the door was opened, and then Carter was climbing out, grabbing Sadie's arm to stop her from taking off towards their dad.
"Percy! You should have come the view was amazing."
"Who cares about the view." Sadie glowered, trying to tug her arm free from Carter's grip "Who's dad talking to?"
"He said to wait here for him-"
"Oh come on." Sadie snorted, "That's so boring, let's go and find out what's going on-"
"Sadie if dad said to wait-"
"He looks familiar Carter c'mon. And you I guess-" she gave Percy a dirty look as she managed to get her arm free and she darted forward, ducking behind a tree to avoid their dad spotting her.
Carter let out a groan, tilting his head back. "Oh come on- six years in England and she thinks she's James Bond."
And Percy felt her panic rising as they both rushed after Sadie, and Percy's mind was racing as she glanced around- she needed to warn dad that Sadie was coming- her eyes focused on the river.
She pressed her lips together before focusing- she didn't bother using magic though- with water she didn't really need to- and a geyser of water burst out of the river, at least ten feet tall- and Percy's gaze swung to her dad and his brother, both of them had turned to see what had happened- even Sadie had halted mid run, pausing to stare at the odd sight- though the geyser went back into the water as if it had never happened- and then Julius' gaze shifted, eyes finding hers- flicking from her to Sadie to Carter- and he gave a small nod- a sign of approval.
The other man was gone seconds later and Percy let out a shaky breath, as Sadie grumbled something under her breath before she took off, skidding to a halt in front of Julius, Percy and Carter a few steps behind her.
"Dad."
"Hey kids. I thought I told Percy to tell you guys to wait by the Eye?"
"Percy did say." Carter spoke up quickly, "But Sadie didn't want to wait-"
"Who was that man? He looked familiar."
"That doesn't matter." Julius wrapped an arm around Sadie's shoulder, "We were just talking. Now, I'm sorry kids, but I've been invited to the British museum- now I know that's not as fun for you three so I'll take you back to the Hotel- and then when I'm done I'll come and take you come. Sally's been baking cookies. We have one stop, then the hotel."
"Oh come on." Sadie's shoulders slumped, "Today's been surprisingly fun, don't tell me you're gonna ruin it by doing some stupid boring research and leaving me with her?"
"Sweetheart it'll be fun, Sally's got plans for the evening for you three, and I've been personally invited- I can't just say no-" and that was a lie. Percy knew that was a lie because she'd heard him on the phone, pulling strings to arrange this.
And he didn't even finish what he was saying because Sadie was speaking.
"Right, big surprise." she blew a strand of red-streaked hair out of her face- and Percy had to admit as much as she didn't get along with Sadie her style was cool, Percy wished her hair was lighter so she could do streaks like Sadie did "Christmas Eve, and you're going to see some moldy old relics from Egypt while you leave with me with the replacements and Carter. Do you ever think about anything else?"
Julius's expression turned pained at that, and he looked up at the darkening sky, "Of course I do." his voice was very soft. "Come on now kids. Let's go and get a taxi." Julius let out a breath, "It's time for you three to go back to the Hotel. With just one stop along the way."
