Eleanor ran into the throne room, just as the Emperor slammed his staff down. "My name is not Zane!" He yells.

"Yes!" Lloyd yelled as he stood near Akita. "It is!" He pulls off his hood. "And you're going to remember it, if I have to knock it into your thick Nindroid skull!"

"Zane, you have got to remember who you are!" Eleanor added as she walked forward.

Akita stared at them with shock. "You … know the Emperor?"

"He's not an Emperor!" Eleanor insisted.

"He's our friend." Lloyd added. "He's the one we're here to rescue." He told her. "It's hard to explain, but I can't let you hurt him, Akita."

Akita starts to growl as her anger breaks her frozen hand to the floor. "My will is not yours to command!"

"Akita, no!" Eleanor cried, and Lloyd blocked her, trying to restrain her.

"Akita, no! This isn't the way! You're letting your anger control you!"

Akita tried to fight off his restrain. "Stand aside, Lloyd. Or fall with him!"

Eleanor grabbed Akita from behind. "Akita, you're not thinking clearly!" She said as Akita tried to fight both of them off.

"We won't let you hurt Zane!" Lloyd struggled before the Emperor smacks his staff against them, knocking the there to the floor.

"There is no Zane!" The Emperor blasts his staff at Akita.

"No!" Lloyd jumps in front of her, doing Spinjitzu, blocking the ice blast.

The other Ninja and Krag jump out of the Land Bounty and look at both the dragon and the Bounty.

"I hope PIXAL wasn't expecting us to bring the Bounty back in one piece or anything." Cole replied, looking at it as it was upside down on top of the dragon.

Nya turns her attention to the dragon, she touches it. "It's ice." She realizes as stares at it. "It's pure ice!" She turns to look at the others. "It's an elemental creation!"

"What?"

"Are you sure?"

"The Emperor must be an Elemental Master of Ice, just like Zane! What are the odds?"

"That's impossible!"

Nya gasps. "Oh, no! How could I be so foolish?"

"What?" Jay asked.

"The Emperor." Nya said. "What if he's not an Ice Elemental like Zane?"

"Then you're saying that."- William trails off as Nya nods.

"Yes! What if he is Zane?"

Cole, Jay and Kai gasp with shock.

"What!?" Cole cried.

"Zane would never hurt anyone." Kai said.

"In his normal state, no." His sister agreed. No one notice that the dragon starts to regain consciousness. "But he was holding the Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu when Aspheera blasted him into this realm!"

"Witch Master Wu warned us, saying whoever held it for a long period of time, would get corrupted!" Cole said.

"What about the time difference?" Jay asked. "How do you explain that?"

Nya shook her head. "I can't. But it's the only thing that adds up. Somehow, Zane is the Ice Emperor."

"We gotta warn Lloyd and Ellie before."- Kai is cut off when the dragon fully awakes, and throws the Land Bounty off him. "RUN!"

The team run and leap out of the way as the dragon sends out a blast of ice, his tail smacks into Kai, who sails through the air.

"KAI" Nya screams, running towards her brother, the dragon crawls after her.

"Nya!" William yells, sending a blast of wind at the dragon, Jay sends a blast of lightning, but the dragon never notices.

Cole looks around, then sees the Land Bounty, activating his Earth Punch. "Hunh-yah!" He punches Bounty, Krag also punches the Land Bounty towards the dragon, who flies into the air and starts to blast them, the quickly jump away.

Nya finally reaches Kai, finding him knocked out cold as he's slumped up against a mountain. "Kai, say something." She suddenly turns when the dragon lands behind her. She then sees stalactites above the dragon. "I am Nya, Master of Water!" She raises her arms, as the other Ninja reach her and Kai. "I am Nya, Master of Water. I am Nya, Master of Water! And you will obey! " The stalactites break off and plunge down, covering the dragon.

"Nya! You did it" Jay cried, throwing a fist into the air.

"That's my girl!" William cheered, standing next to her and Kai.

"Haha! I knew you could do it!" Cole cheered.

But the celebration is soon cut short when the dragon starts moving under the stalactites. Kai slowly wakes as his vision is blurred, just as the dragon burst out of the stalactites.

"I'm sorry." Nya's voice shook. "I tried."

"No." Kai breathed as the dragon leaps out and roars. Jay blasts lightning at, but the dragon blocks it. "No." He rolls to his side and conjures up his fire and his eyes glow red as he becomes angry. "No MORE!" Giant flames of fire blast out as the dragon blasts his ice, but Kai's fire is stronger and hotter, and it engulfs the dragon, the dragon bursts into water and disappears.

Kai pants as he falls backwards in a faint, but Nya and William catch him.

"You powers, Kai!" Nya beams in amazement. "They're back!"

Jay laughs. "Better late then never!"

"Come on! Let's get to Zane, Ellie and Lloyd!" Cole said as he runs towards the castle, his friends behind him.

Eleanor laid on the floor, near a pillar, she had gotten frozen when Lloyd and the Emperor fought, so she was forced to watch. "Zane, wake up!" She cried. Soon Lloyd is thrown towards her, and the he's soon blasted with ice.

"Zane, please wake up." Eleanor begged.

"I told you. There is no Zane!"

Vex grinned evily. "Do it, Master. Finish it!"

"Zane." Lloyd pleaded.

The Emperor pauses and shakes his head, trying to clear it.

Vex growls. "I'll do it!" He declares, snatching a Blizzard Warrior's spear and walks up to Eleanor. "The girl first." He points the sharp tip close to her.

"Get away from her!" Zane yelled.

Vex glared at him. "Some savior you turned out to be. You couldn't defeat the Emperor. You couldn't protect your friends." He points the spear into Lloyd's face.

The Emperor looks at him, then to the two trapped in ice. "'Protect?'" He repeats.

"You couldn't even protect yourselves." Vex continued.

"Protect those who cannot protect themselves." The Emperor muttered. Memories of his the past come flooding into him. He gasps, just as Vex prepares to kill Lloyd. "NO!" He knocks the spear away, before ripping off the mask, revealing his real voice. "Don't!" He kicks a surprised Vex away with the staff. Looking at the staff he leaps up and smashes it into pieces.

The aftershock frees everything all around the realm as the castle returns to the normal and Akita collapses.

Zane rips off the helmet and throws it to the floor. "Lloyd! Eleanor!"

Eleanor collapses to the floor. "Zane." She smiles.

"I knew you'd remember." Lloyd smiles.

"Thank you my friends." Zane returns the smile warmly. "Thank you."

Vex yells as he charges at Zane with the spear, Eleanor shoots a crystal at the spear, knocking it out of Vex's hand, then Zane freezes him.

Akita lifts herself up to see Kataru, the other Ninja, Krag and Grimfax charging in.

"Kataru!" Akita cried as he brother rushes to her.

"Akita!" He swings her up and the team hug tightly.

"Zane!"

"Eleanor!"

"Lloyd!"

The Ninja run to the three, getting a group hug, Krag happily watches.

After some weeks, the Ninja, and Krag walk into the walk into Sorla's home, as she inspects the Traveler's Tree's flowers that Cole had given her.

"I have consulted the spirits of the Hearth Fire." Sorla starts. "And I have learned of this Ninjago. It is far from here. The leaves of the Traveler's Tree will not have the strength to bear you home."

"What?" Eleanor gasped. "W- w- we can't return home?" Her voice shook, and Cole wrapped his arm around her.

"It'll be ok Ellie." He soothes, and a thought suddenly hits him. "I can get more!" With his free arm he elbows Krag. "Right Krag?" The yeti excitedly nods. "You can help me up back the mountain and-and we can."-

"It is no use." Sorla cuts him off. "No amount of leaves will suffice. If we only had something more portent."

Cole suddenly remembers the berry he had pretended to eat, everyone watches as he searches himself. "Sorla, what about this?" He walks up to her, opening his hand to reveal the berry.

Sorla smiles. "Yes."

The Ninja cheer.

In Ninjago inside the courtyard of the Monastery Of Spinjitzu. PIXAL and Skylor gasp and back away as a portal suddenly appeared. PIXAL hurries into the building and after a few minutes she returns with Master running after her.

"What is it?" He asks.

"It - it can't be." Skylor gasps as the outline of the Ninja appear before they walk out of the portal. "Kai!" She beams as he hurries over to her and grabs her in a tight hug. "You're back!"

"You're all back!" Master Wu smiles, before his eyes land on Zane. "Zane!" He runs to him an hugs him.

It took Zane a moment to remember. "Master Wu! It is good to see you."

Master Wu wipes his eyes. "You too Zane. You too."

PIXAL runs up and tackles Zane. "Zane!"

"Whoa-ah!" Zane laughs, returning the hug.

"Master Wu, check this out!" Kai smiled brightly, conjuring up fire and thrusting his arms to the sky, where blasts of fire shot out of his hands.

"Your powers!" Wu smiled.

"They've returned." Skylor smiled brightly.

"Welcome back home, all of you." Wu smiled.

PIXAL soon frowns. "But where are Cole and Lloyd?"

"We've made some friends, on our way to save Zane." Eleanor answered with a smile.

An online then appears and Cole emerges.

"Home sweet home." He smiles, looking around before Master Wu pulls him into a hug.

The portal soon starts to close.

"Lloyd!" Master Wu moves towards the portal. And just when it started to close, Lloyd jumps through and lands on the ground in front of his uncle. "Lloyd!"

Lloyd pushes himself up. "Uncle." He smiles, and his smile widens when Wu grabs him into a tight hug.

"I forgive you, Nephew."

Lloyd hugs his uncle just as tightly.

"Let's all celebrate at the Noodle House!" Skylor suggests.

"Sounds good to me!" Kai said with a smile, his arm around her waist.

"Me too!" Jay cried, bouncing in place.

"Then let us do that." Master Wu agrees.
