Chapter 24: Do You Mind?
Everyone was walking back from their photo shoot. IT was a day long since coming after all.
"Once again sorry for making you think those things." Mabel said to Sayaka.
"It's okay… it's a stable time loop. You knew that was going to happen…" said Sayaka.
"That's good." Said Mabel.
That was when Sayaka froze.
"What's wrong?" asked Ursa.
"Wait… are you only my friends because you knew you were going to befriend me?" asked Sayaka.
"Of course not!" said Mabel.
"Your our friend because we wanted to befriend you." Said Ursa.
Sayaka blushed when Ursa said that.
That was when they got near the shack and they saw Gideon pacing outside.
"Gideon?" asked Ursa.
"Oh! Ursa! Mabel!" said Gideon.
"Gideon what are you doing?" asked Ursa getting a bad feeling from him.
"Oh it's nothing…" said Gideon, "I… I have to go…"
Gideon ran off.
"I wonder what's going on with him." Said Mabel.
"Who cares." Muttered Ursa.
Meanwhile Gideon was taking a breath.
He was conflicted. He wanted to find Journal 1. He already had number 2 and for a long time wanted the power in the book.
He considered stealing the deed, taking advantage of the laws of Gravity Falls that if he stole the deed then the property would be his;.
But the more he thought about the worse idea was. Due to the fact that there would be a chance that Mabel and Ursa would be sent back home…
And he really didn't want that.
But he still wanted to find Journal 1 and he was sure that Stan had it.
That was when he realized something.
"I just need to know where it is… and how to get it." Said Gideon.
He looked through his journal and found the very thing he was looking for.
"This will be the thing that lets me find it." Said Gideon.
A being known as Bill Cipher.
And so not too longer later Gideon performed the ritual.
At the same time Mabel, Candy and Grenda were walking around.
That was when they heard something.
"You hear that." Said Mabel.
They looked to see what that chanting was.
They of course found it was Gideon.
He was at a strange circle surrounded by candles. They watched in horror as he writhed with the chanting…
And then everything turned black and white as a strange triable appeared in the air.
With the strange triangle giant an eye and becoming yellow, gaining a top hair and spindly arms and legs.
"Oh Gravity Falls! It's good to be back." Said the triangle.
He triangle then looked at Gideon.
"The names Bill Cipher and what are you some kind of Ventriloquist Dummy?" asked the triangle named Bill.
Gideon glared at the triangle.
"I am not"! growled Gideon.
"Relax I'm kidding! I know who you are." Said Bill, "Here's gift."
He reached out his hand and a nearby deer suddenly had its teeth ripped out and he gave Gideon the teeth.
"Here deer teeth." Said Bill.
Gideon dropped the teeth in horror.
Bill laughed and gave the teeth back to the deer.
"Listen! I have a job for you!" said Gideon, "I'm looking for journal number 1. Do you know what that it.
"Of course, I know lots of things…"
He proceeded to say "Lots of things" in a distorted voice.
"Good because I want to know it's location and how to get it." Said Gideon.
From nearby Mabel gasped in shock.
"How am I supposed to get that information?" asked Bill.
"Go into Stan Pines and get that information." Said Gideon, "Steal it if you have to."
"Stan Pines huh?" asked Bill.
His body began to flash various images.
"All right! You convinced me." Said Bill, "I'll get you that information but in exchange you have to do a favor for me."
"All right." Said Gideon.
Bill's hand was covered in flue fire and the two shook on it.
"All right! I have a journal lot find! Remember the universe is a hologram! Reality is an illusion! Buy gold! Bye!" yelled Bill.
The then disappeared and Gideon and the three girls watching all seemingly woke up.
"What is Gideon hiding…" said Mabel.
"We have to tell Dipper;." Said Candy.
"Why Dipper?" asked Grenda.
"No Candy's right… he might know what the weird triangle guy was." Said Mabel.
Meanwhile in the mystery shack Dipper was adjusting his clothes and looked at both Sayaka and Kitsu as Stan slept nearby.
"I'm pretty sure I might have to take a break from searching for a few days…" sighed Dipper.
"You had to dress super girly." Said Pacifica, "I can't blame you."
That was when the girls ran into the room.
"What's going on?" asked Sayaka.
"Gideon summoned a weird triangle guy to go into Grunkle Stan's mind to find the first journal!" yelled Mabel.
"Wait… the first Journal?" asked Pacifica.
Dipper and Mabel sighed and decided to come clean about that part.
"Grunkle Stan has Journal 1." Sighed Dipper.
"That's why it's 2 we're looking for." said Mabel.
"It has no information about Jusenkyo." Said Sayaka.
Dipper and Mabel nodded.
"Why is he after Journal 1." Said Kitsu.
"I have no idea." Said Dipper.
But then he remembered something.
"Wait… triangle guy." Said Dipper.
He opened Journal 3 to look through it. He found a page showing information about Bill.
He read it to them. About how he was the most dangerous thing he ever encountered and to not let him into anyone's mind.
That was when suddenly a triangle shaped shadow descended onto Stan and suddenly his eye depend up and began to writhe in his sleep.
Mable peaked over his shoulder and read how to stop him which was recite a spell to go into someone's mind.
"Okay! Let's go inside his mind." Said dipper.
"Are you sure that's a good idea?" asked Kitsu.
"What?" asked Dipper.
"What I meant is a good idea for you to go into his mind…" said Kitsu.
"Oh I get it." Said Mabel.
"What?" asked Dipper again.
"You two go talk to Gideon and find out why he wants the Journal… and why he knows about it." Said Kitsu.
"While you go inside and stop Bill." Said Dipper, "Are you sure that's a good idea?"
"What other choice do we have?" asked Mabel.
Dipper sighed knowing why had to them.
"I have to get dressed up again." Sighed Dipper.
"You have to get dressed up again." Said Mabel.
Dipper wrote down the spell for the other girls to use.
"Be careful." Said Dipper.
The four girls nodded.
The four girls looked at each other.
"All right! Let's do this." Said Grenda taking charge.
They all placed their hands on Stan as Candy read the spell that would let them into his mind.
The four them found themselves in an area around a twisted and black and white version of the mystery shack.
"So this is Tan's mind…" said Pacifica.
"Wait… didn't you come in cursed?" asked Grenda.
"I did…" said Pacifica.
"It's the mind… of course you would come in as your true self." Said a voice.
They turned to see Bill waiting for them.
"I was expecting Pine Tree and Shooting Star but looks like they relegated this duty to you." Mocked Bill.
"We wanted to do this." Said Pacifica.
"Sure…" said Bill.
"You think that dipper wants to dress up in order to interrogate Gideon?" asked Candy.
Bill stared at them.
"Touché…" said Bill.
The four of them glared at Bill.
"Anyway deep in Stan's memories is where he put the Journal." Said Bill, "Each hidden behind a door."
They stilled glared at him.
"Well I'm off to find the location of a Journal." Laughed Bill evilly.
They followed Bill the twists Mystery Shack. There eerie strange animals that looked Stan.
"What's with the weird Stan animals?" asked Pacifica.
"I think you mean Stanimals." Said Candy.
"Nice one." Said Grenda as Sayaka giggled.
Pacifica rolled her eyes.
"Come on… let's just hope that we don't have to look through too many memories while Dipper and Mabel do their thing." Said Pacifica.
The others nodded.
Meanwhile Mabel put blankets on them all as their bodies were asleep.
"You ready?" asked Ursa with her eyes switching wearing the same outfit from the photo shoot earlier that day.
Mabel nodded.
They decided to look around the area where Gideon performed the ritual to summon Bill.
Thankfully he was in the same spot.
"Gideon!" said Mabel in a very stern way.
"Oh! Mabel! Ursa!" said Gideon.
"Don't Ursa me!" yelled Mabel.
"Uh… Mabel…" said Ursa.
"I mean don't Mabel me!" yelled Mabel.
"What did I do?" asked Gideon.
"Me and my friends saw you summoning that demon to invade Grunkle Stan's mind." Said Mabel.
"Why did you do it?" asked Ursa.
"Oh… right." Said Gideon.
He decided to come clean about it.
"Look!" said Gideon, "For a long time I've been after a power!"
"What do you mean?" asked Ursa.
"You see! I have a journal written by a mysterious author." Said Gideon taking out Journal 2.
"Wait! You have Journal 2!" said Ursa.
"That's why we couldn't find it." Said Mabel.
"Wait! You've been looking for Journal 2?" asked Gideon in shock.
"We have…" said Mabel.
"Are you after the power too?" asked Gideon.
"What power?" asked Ursa.
"I have put together the pieces! And I have figured out that by bringing together both Journals that it would unleash a great power that I can use to rule this town." Said Gideon.
Ursa and Mabel looked at each other.
"Amazing. Everything you said was wrong." Said Ursa.
"What?" asked Gideon.
They knew they had to tell him…
Or least the basics and what they can tell him.
Back inside Stan's mind. They were looking through the doors. Thankfully there were plenty of sections that were eliminated like a section dedicated to Dipper, but other than that they had a lot of to go through.
Usually shutting the door as quickly as possible.
"All right." Said Grenda.
"What did you find?" asked Candy.
"A young Stan in hot pants and roller skates." Said Grenda.
"TMI!" yelled Pacifica.
"(I really didn't need to know about that.)" muttered Sayaka in Japanese.
But interestingly.
"Wait… did I just understand you?" asked Pacifica.
"I guess since we're Stan's mind you can understand other language." Said Sayaka, "Wait how would that work?"
"(I have no idea.)" said Candy in Korean testing it out, "Wait did you know what I said?"
The others nodded in agreement.
"(Let's just keep looking." Said Pacifica.
The others nodded.
Back outside…
"Okay… here's the thing… those blue prints aren't some mysterious power… their an invention that the author created and something went wrong with it." Said Ursa.
"How do you know?" asked Gideon.
"We know someone who knew the author." Said Mabel, "We can't say who."
"But whoever it is, wants to save him." Said Ursa.
"What do you mean?" asked Gideon.
"Something happened to the author… in order to bring him back however we need all three journals." Said Gideon.
"Wait three?" asked Gideon.
Ursa sighed and took out Journal 3.
"It also has some information about that thing you sent into Stan's mind." Said Ursa.
She showed him the pages about Bill that Journal 3 held.
"But he said he was a friend,…" said Gideon.
"Things changed in-between Journals." Said Dipper.
Gideon looked at the two.
Part of him demanded told him they were lying. That they wanted the power.
But a part of him… a new part of him that started to form from meeting Ursa and Mabel was telling him to stop this and give them the Journal.
And thankfully that part won out.
"All right." Said Gideon, "But when you bring the author back I get to meet him."
"Fair enough." Said Mabel.

Back inside Stan's mind, they were still looking through the doors.
"Any sign yet?" asked Pacifica.
"Not yet!" said Grenda, "I'm getting bored."
Candy looked at Grenda.
"Grenda… are you feeling okay?" asked candy.
"I'm fine! I'm just tired of looking!" yelled Grenda.
Candy looked at Grenda.
Pacifica and Sayaka noticed the way that candy was acting.
After all Candy and Grenda were very, very close.
"You're not Grenda." Said Candy.
That was when Grenda glared at them.
"So you figured it out!" yelled Grenda in Bill's voice.
"What did you do to Grenda." Said Candy as Sayaka got ready to fight Bill.
"Guys! I found more hot young Stan!" yelled the real Grenda.
"Oh… never mind…" said candy.
Bill turned to his true form. But before a fight could ensue, Bill started to ring.
"Yellow?" asked Bill as Gideon appeared on screen.
"The deal's off Bill." Said Gideon, "I don't need toe the Journal anymore."
"What! Are you sure! What about the ultimate power! I mean learning that the author's is trapped somewhere and gathering the journals so they that someone could save him." Said Bill.
"What! You know about that!" yelled Gideon.
"Oh… I said that out loud didn't I?" asked Bill, "Just ignore that."
"The deal's off!" yelled Gideon.
The call ended.
Bill started to laugh.
"You know what…" laughed Bill, "The moment he started to "Become the mask" I should have known he wouldn't be useful to me any more…"
They were stilled ready to fight.
"Look I'm not here to fight or cause any more problems… don't worry… just a word of warning… soon everyone you know and love will change!" mocked Bill.
"What's that supposed to mean?" asked Pacifica.
"You'll just have to wait and see.." said Bill.
He disappeared from Stan's mind.
"So… are we stuck here?" asked Pacifica.
"Probably until he wakes up…" said Candy.
"You want to see hot young Stan?" asked Grenda.
"We…" said Sayaka.
"no!" said Pacifica.
"Does he look like Dipper?" asked Candy.
Everyone looked at Candy.
"Never mind…" said Candy.
Back with Gideon, he gave the two the Journal.
"Thank you! Thank you thank you!" said Mabel hugging him.
"It might take a while to find him." Said Ursa.
"I understand… just… please…" said Gideon.
"Tell you when he's back.," said Ursa.
Gideon nodded.
"I'm sorry about Stan." Said Gideon.
"You better be…" muttered Ursa.
"You can still have a fused with him… but don't try to hurt him hurt him." Said Mabel.
"Yeah you can get into petty fights all you want." Said Ursa.
Gideon nodded.
"Is everything okay between us?" asked Gideon .
"Yeah… their okay… "said Ursa.
Gideon nodded at the two left.
Gideon shuddered suddenly. He didn't know why… but something felt wrong…
Ursa began to look through the journal.
"Finally!" said Ursa.
"Remember there's a chance there's no cure." Said Mabel.
"I know…" sighed Ursa.
They made it back to the Mystery Shack.
They were still asleep.
"Should we wake them up?" asked Mabel.
"Hey! Stan! The government is here!" yelled Ursa.
"SOOS!" yelled Stan waking up.
This also woke up the girls.
"What happened?" asked Sayaka.
"Oh he woke up." Said Kitsu.
"What happened?" asked Stan.
"Lookie what we found." Said Mabel.
"Hot Belgian waffles!" yelled Stan.
"Wait! Where was it?" asked Kitsu.
'Gideon had it the whole item." Said Ursa.
"Of course he did." Said Kitsu.
"Hey! That means we don't have to go searching anymore." Said Grenda.
Sayaka and Kitsu both froze.
"You're right." Said Ursa.
"Did you look through it yet?" asked Stan.
"Not entirely." Said Ursa.
Stan looked at her.
"Fine." Said Ursa as she handed him the journal.
He then ;looked at the 4 girls.
"It's complicated and one of your business." Said Stan.
"Whatever…" muttered Kitsu.
That very night Stan headed to the basement with both Journal 2 and 3. He looked at the three of them and began to use the blue prints to help fix the portal.
"Yes! I did it!" said Stan.
The portal activated… however it would take a while for it to be at full power.
But still the portal was activated.
And soon his brother would come back…
Though there would be problems along the way, after searching for so long finally happening…
And hopefully those problems wouldn't be that bad…
Next Time: With Journal 2 found, Pacifica, Candy and Sayaka are unsure what's going to happen next now that they're no longer searching for it. Meanwhile Dipper looks through Journal 2. Is there a cure the author discovered? Find out next time!
