A/N Hey, guys. Welcome to the second chapter of the Spider-Man PS4 and I Am Frankie crossover. So first, before I get started, I want to give a shoutout to LunarianAnime and Cylon One for the reviews so far. Anyway, I want to apologize for not updating after New Year's because I've been busy with my studies. But anyway, this second chapter is based on I Am In Danger Part Two. In this second chapter of I Am Frankie and Spider-Man PS4 Crossover, Miles starts his second day of his new high school and he makes friends with Dayton while he makes a decision to hang out with Lucia after school. So, this is chapter two, and here we go.
I'm just borrowing the characters and the plot from Insomniac Games and Marvel and I Am Frankie series creator Marcela Citterio.
The next day, after getting settled around Miami, Miles got started on his second day of high school, as he continued to keep his secret identity as Spider-Man. Walking to the front entrance of Sepulveda High School, his eyes met with Lucia's brown eyes. Noticing the teen, Lucia smiled and waved.
"Hi, Miles!" she called.
"Hey, how's it going?" he asked her.
"I'm good." she replied.
"I noticed some rainfall yesterday after school." he said.
"Makayla and I might have something to do with that yesterday." she said awkwardly.
"Let me guess, you guys are working on some kind of experiment." said Miles.
"How do you know that?" asked Lucia.
"Let's just say I'm a little genius at science myself." Miles replied.
"Lucia! Tammy needs you to help test her knowledge on the equation." Makayla called.
"I have to go, Miles. I'll see you later." said Lucia as she walked away to join Makayla.
"See you later, Lucia." Miles called.
While walking to class, Miles bumps into a female student with long curly blonde hair and brown eyes, making her drop her school books.
"Whoa, sorry about that." he said as he helped her reorganize her notebooks.
"It's okay." Dayton offered.
After helping Dayton picking up and reorganizing her notebooks, Miles observed her very carefully, and she seemed like one of the nicest people here.
"I haven't seen around you here. Are you new?" asked Dayton.
"You can say like that. I just started my first day yesterday." Miles replied.
"That's rude of me. I'm Dayton Reyes." she said as she held out her hand for him to shake.
"Miles Morales." he said as he shook her hand.
Later in math class, the math teacher, Mr. Hartman, asked everyone to participate in the math bee to test their knowledge on the equations, but if anyone got the answers wrong, they have to return to their seats. Having learned how to solve equations in during his time in the Brooklyn Visions, Miles didn't have any trouble getting the answers right, but some of his classmates, including Dayton, Makayla, and Lucia, didn't have any luck. Miles' luck eventually ran out as he went back and sat at his desk next to Lucia. To his surprise, Frankie and Tammy were the ones left standing.
"Well, it looks like we have a tie." Mr. Hartman announced.
As the bell rang, everyone got up and was about to leave when Tammy called, "No one's leaving. We have to settle this here and now."
"Yeah, I have another class coming in." Mr. Hartman started.
"A tie breaker." Tammy challenged.
"All right. When you divide a circle's circumference by its diameter, you get," Mr. Hartman began as he wrote on the chalkboard.
"The number pi! I win!" Tammy stated.
"I'm not done. Pi is not an exact number. Your tie breaking challenge. Whoever wrties out pi to the most digits, when the next bell rings, wins." Mr. Hartman finished.
"This should be interesting." Miles muttered.
"Yes, I eat "pi" for breakfast. Let's go." said Tammy.
"Begin!" Mr. Hartman called.
Miles watched Frankie and Tammy writing on the chalkboard with interest. He didn't remember if he had learned this in Brooklyn Visions or not.
"How do you think you did today?" asked Lucia.
"I did good, despite the hard questions I had to answer." Miles replied.
Miles and Lucia watched and observed Frankie and Tammy writing down their own equations while Dayton, Makayla, and Byron all observed with interest.
"Top this." said Tammy as she stepped away from the chalkboard.
Much to her shock, as well as everyone and Miles, Frankie had solved the last equation. How did Frankie solved that one equation?
"Well, she has to have messed up somewhere." Tammy began.
"Hold on, my eyes are starting to cross, but it's, it's all correct. Frankie wins! Congratulations!" Mr. Hartman announced.
"No way. Frankie managed to solve an equation that no one else could solve? She has some strong genius intellect." Miles said to himself.
"Yes! Go, Frankie!" Dayton cheered.
"Oh, and congratulations to you, too, Tammy. You beat your previous personal pi record." Mr. Hartman finished.
"Save it!" Tammy grumbled as she got her backpack and left.
'Oh, man. That last equation was really tough. Even Pete and I can't solve that.' Miles thought.
Later at lunchtime, Miles sets down his backpack and took out his journal as he wrote down on what's been going on so far in his new high school.
'Day 2. Made friends with Dayton Reyes, took part in the equation knowledge, Frankie Gaines won the challenge.' he thought.
As he was writing down on his journal, someone tapped on his shoulder. Miles looked up and turned around. To his surprise, Lucia stood behind him, holding a tray in her hands.
"Do you mind if I sit beside you?" she asked him.
"Not at all." he replied as he moved his backpack underneath the table.
While Miles was eating, he noticed a troubled look in Lucia's expression.
"Everything okay?" he asked.
"Oh, it's just Tammy. Makayla and I had to calm her down after her loss to Frankie on the last equation in AP Math." she replied.
"Does Tammy always tell you and Makayla what to do?" asked Miles.
"Well, she doesn't always tell us what to do. She just wants to get things done." Lucia replied.
"Sounds like Tammy Gilroy." said Miles.
"Makayla and I got used to it when we became friends with her." said Lucia.
"Hey, do you have free time after school? Like, maybe hang out and get to know each other better?" Miles offered.
"Like, you and me?" asked Lucia.
"Well, it doesn't have to be casual friends hang out." he replied.
"Yes. I would love that. I need to get away from Tammy before she can get more angry about losing and taking it out on me and Makayla." she said.
"Awesome. I'll see you later after school." he said.
At the end of the day, Miles was at his locker as he stashed the homework in his backpack and got ready for his friend date with Lucia. After zipping up his backpack, Miles closed his locker and went over to meet with Lucia.
"Hey, you ready to go?" he asked as he approached her.
"Ready." she replied as she closed her locker and slung her backpack over her shoulders.
Walking out of the school's campus, Miles walked beside Lucia as he gave her one of his best smiles while she smiled back at him.
"So, where do you want to go?" asked Miles.
"There is a place not far from here. Pretty much some of us go there to hang out after school on a daily basis." Lucia replied.
Going to a place that Lucia recommended, the two friends sat down at a neaby table.
"So, to get to know each other better, let's ask each other some questions." Lucia began.
"All right." Miles agreed.
"So, where are you from?" she asked.
"Brooklyn, New York." he replied.
"No way. I always wanted to go to New York and explore different places like th Times Square and Central Park." she stated.
"All right, my turn. When is your birthday?" he asked.
"March 31st." she replied.
"Nice. And what is your favorite color?" he asked.
"Violet." she answered.
After asking each other questions as a way to get to know each other, Miles was really happy to make some new friends like Lucia Baxter while he learned that she and Makayla are members of the Brain Squad, with Tammy being their leader.
And that will end the second chapter there for today. So what do you guys think? Love it or hate it? Again, I'm really sorry for not updating after New Year's because of school and dealing with the bad weather. Hopefully, I will make it up to you guys when I continue the crossover story. Anyway, let me know what you guys thought of the second chapter, and I will see you guys in the third chapter.
