All right, here'z another oneshot that is kind of a sequel to "Why Do I Love You?" … I plan to make a series that leads up to a bigger story. Before I begin, here some background:
There are multiple universes (the CU is much more complex, but I don't want to get into it), and Ed meets a lot of people that are from "outworld". Among them is a girl named Machelle, who is a year older than the state alchemist. They end up getting engaged. Unfortunately, the mysterious Moddy Pride falls in love with Ed. This, and "Why Do I Love You?" take place after Ed and Machelle get married.
(PS These stories are meant to be read in order. This is the second one. Please read "Why Do I Love You?" first. Thank you. Oh, yeah, and I don't own Fullmetal Alchemist.)
Why Do I Miss Her?
Machelle sighed and sat by the window. She looked at the note Ed had given to her. "Moddy," she whispered. "What did you do? Where did you go? Why did you go?" She of course knew the answer to that.
Moddy had been acting strange ever since the wedding, and maybe even before that. Machelle had first noticed when she had announced to all her close friends that she was going to have Ed's baby. That had been after the honeymoon. She had been so happy and every one had been happy for her… except Moddy. She hadn't said anything, and had just walked away.
Machelle knew how Moddy felt about her husband. She had since the first time she had met the crazy bitch. Truthfully, she had always felt sorry for her. She had finally fallen in love with someone who was worth a dam… and he was already in love with someone else. But still, Machelle had thought they had gotten past all of it…
She sighed again, and put the note down on the kitchen counter. The kitchen was spotless, which was really no surprise, since she had been cleaning it for three days. Her adopted mother had done the same thing when she had been pregnant.
Machelle looked down at her swollen belly and ran a hand across it. In about two months, she was going to have the man who she had been in love with ever since she was five's baby… She had wanted to be a mother for most of her life… So why was she so sad? "I miss her…" she said.
She chuckled dryly. She missed her… Modesty Pride, the crazy half demon bi-polar bitch who had tried to kill her on several occasions. Why? Why do I miss her? Part of it, she knew, was that line in the poem…
"Tell her sorry for all the pain…" she whispered to herself. For all the pain… Moddy had caused her a lot of pain…But the saddest part was, Machelle forgave her for all of it.
She sighed once more and stood up. She stretched and started to walk out of the kitchen. She stopped at the doorway, and looked over her shoulder. She turned back, and picked up the note. She would give it back to Ed, and tell him to give it to Kitty. Kitty deserved to see it.
