Author's Notes: Hi, readers. Here's chapter seven of "Just Away." This chapter has a little bit of Tommy/Kim. It finally reveals Kim's true origins. I have been looking forward to doing that since the fic started. The next one will feature action in Ninja Ranger style. I decided not to show Rito and the Tengas attacking Rocky, Aisha, and Adam because the scene was so brief. Not every action scene will be shown in my Power Rangers fics, but I can show snippets of them on a TV or have them been mentioned on a radio report. Stay tuned for chapter eight.

Chapter 7: Being Alerted/Wild Revelation

Tommy was still sitting on Kim's hospital bed ten minutes later. She was talking about the time she defeated Terror Toad. She made motions with her hands. This caused him to chuckle. Suddenly, his communicator beeped loudly. He let out a heavy sigh and looked both ways. He brought it up to his face as she pulled the bear closer to her.

"Zordon, this is Tommy," Tommy said.

"First of all, let me say that it is nice to see that you are feeling better, Kimberly," Zordon said warmly.

"Thanks for worrying about me, Zordon," Kim responded.

"Ay-yi-yi. Zordon and I heard you and Tommy were expecting a baby when we were watching you on the Viewing Globe," Alpha added and sighed in a soft way. "You will be happy to know we support you. We will help you whenever you need it."

"We are grateful for your support, but it does mean Kim will be out of action for quite a while," Tommy said, seriousness lining his voice.

"I understand, but now is not the time to discuss it," Zordon boomed.

"What is it, Zordon?" Tommy asked.

"Rocky, Adam, and Aisha have been attacked in the park by Rito and an army of Tengas," Zordon replied gravely. "They need your help. You must go immediately."

"All right," Tommy said.

Just then, Billy came into the room. He went to Tommy's side as his friend peered over his shoulder at him.

"Hey, Kim," Billy greeted with a heavy sigh.

"Hey," Kim responded and frowned somewhat.

"I heard everything, including the comments about Kim's baby," Billy commented, breathing deeply. "That part shocked me, but don't worry. You two have my support. Tommy and I should get going."

"Before we go, I should give you this," Tommy said, reaching into his pocket and pulling out his girlfriend's communicator. He gave it to her. "Kat saw it on your wrist and took it off while you were unconscious. She gave it to me in the waiting room last night. She told me she didn't want you to lose it. She referred to it as a watch."

"I can't say I am surprised," Kim said, putting it on. "I will be able to talk to Zordon and Alpha whenever I want."

"We'll be back as soon as we can," Tommy said in much gentleness. "Just get some rest."

Tommy stood up and kissed Kim on her forehead. He and Billy took a step backward and looked ahead.

"Bye, Kim," Tommy said. "Ninja Ranger power now!"

Tommy and Billy morphed into their Ninja Ranger forms. They teleported out of the room. Kim slid her hands over her stomach three times. She brought her communicator up to her face.

"I am so glad Billy is on our side, Zordon. I hope the others will be the same way," Kim whispered and swallowed hard.

"They will probably be angry at you and Tommy for not being careful, but I guarantee they will support both of you," Zordon commented.

"I am not surprised Zedd and Rita took the opportunity to attack since I am here," Kim murmured, taking a deep breath. "With me out of action for a while, it is going to be difficult for the team."

"Alpha and I will begin searching for someone to take your place as the Pink Ranger, Kimberly. We have to get your Power Coin back as well," Zordon said.

"I know. It's been nearly three weeks since Zedd and Rita took it. The team has done well in keeping the Pink Ranger powers charged up, but it is only a matter of time before they can't do it anymore," Kim muttered, a sob rising in her throat. "I do not want the new Ranger to lose them."

Alpha groaned. "We don't either, Kimberly."

"Now that you are pregnant, Alpha and I feel it is time you knew the truth about your origins," Zordon said in much seriousness.

"What do you mean?" Kim asked confusingly. "My birth parents died when I was a newborn under mysterious circumstances. The Harts adopted me soon after."

"That is the story you were told. You were able to defeat several of Zedd and Rita's most powerful monsters on your own. You beat Goldar and Scorpina by yourself several times. No Power Ranger should have such an ability. Your birth mother is dead, but your birth father is alive. In fact, you are not from Earth at all. You are from another world in a faraway galaxy. The galaxy is known as M-51. The world is called Gamma Vile," Zordon explained in a calm yet firm voice.

Kim blew softly. "What are you saying, Zordon?"

Zordon cleared his throat and breathed deeply. "You are the daughter of Master Vile and Lady Fienna. They are Rita and Rito's parents. You are their baby sister, Kara."

Kim gasped in much shock. She couldn't believe she was related to Rita and Rito. The thought of the latter being her brother made her a little sick because he was known for smelling so bad. At the same time, she found it to be quite possible because she was powerful like they were. She knew Zordon would never lie about something like this.

"Before the Earth war, Master Vile and Lady Fienna were happily married. He actually had a handsome humanoid form. He went by the name Taurus. They had Rita and Rito four years apart. Three years after Rito's birth, Vile began to change. He sought to gain power. When Rito was five years old, Fienna gave birth to you. She and her husband knew you would be very powerful one day. They named you Kara. She could see he was growing mad with power and decided to flee with you and your siblings a few weeks later. Rita and Rito were caught by his guards, but she managed to escape with you," Zordon explained.

"Wow. Rita and Rito had the potential to be on the side of good," Kim exclaimed.

"That is correct, Kimberly," Alpha commented. "Fienna fled to Eltar and sought Zordon out. She told him what was going on. He revealed to her that she would have to give you up in order to keep you safe from your father. She didn't want to, but she had to do it. Zordon entrusted Rasmus with your safety. He instructed him to take you to Phaedos and assist Dulcea in keeping you there until the time was right for you to be adopted by an Earth family. Rasmus did just that. He and Dulcea gave you your name to divert suspicion. Dulcea is the Master Warrior of Phaedos and the guardian of the Great Power."

"Great Power?" Kim asked in confusion.

"It is the greatest power source in the universe. Master Vile tried to obtain it after he conquered the M-51 Galaxy. I came with my army to help Dulcea protect it. She sealed it away. In anger, he bound her to the planet permanently. She cannot step beyond the plateau containing the destroyed Ninjetti Temple, or she will age rapidly and die," Zordon pointed out. "The Great Power is very dangerous. All who have tried for it have perished."

Kim winced. "That's horrible."

Zordon let out a sad sigh. "Yes, it is. Fienna joined my army and helped me defend Earth from Rita and her goons. By then, Master Vile had become a hideous monster due to his craving for power. Goldar killed her during a raid on a village many years later. In 1978, Rasmus took you to the Angel Grove Police Department. He disguised himself as a construction worker. The story was you were orphaned after your birth parents died under mysterious circumstances. You were placed with a foster family. Ryan and Caroline learned about you and decided to adopt you."

Kim let out a shuddering breath. She considered the story of her origins to be incredible. She didn't want to believe it, but she knew it was true deep down. She wondered how the others would react when she told them, especially Tommy. She feared he would think differently of her.

"Your mother recorded a message for you, Kimberly. Would you like to hear it?" Alpha wondered.

"Sure," Kim said, nodding slowly.

Alpha exhaled. "Here it goes."

Kim heard the pressing of buttons in the background. A series of beeps came right after. She breathed slowly yet surely.

"My sweet Kara, this message means I am no longer alive," Lady Fienna said, sadness lining her voice. "I loved you, your sister, and your brother with every fiber of my being. I did not want your father to corrupt you with his notions of power, so I sought to escape with you. I tried very hard to save Rita and Rito, but I couldn't. I brought you to Zordon. He knew Master Vile would seek you for your power, so he asked Rasmus to take you to Phaedos and watch over you with Dulcea. I wanted to raise you, but I couldn't let my husband get his hands on you. Saying goodbye to you was the hardest thing I ever did. I wasn't sure if I would ever see you again. I did everything I could to get your siblings back. Unfortunately, I failed. I did not fail with saving you. I knew Rasmus and Dulcea would take good care of you until the time came for you to be adopted by an Earth family. I believe your adoptive parents will love you just as much as I did. Know this. I will always be with you in spirit. I will love you forever until the end of time. This is your mother, Lady Fienna of M-51."

Kim choked back a sob as static crackled from her communicator. She didn't blame Lady Fienna for fleeing from Master Vile. She felt grateful to her for saving her. She was glad she was a Power Ranger and that she was using her power for good.

"I want to thank you, Rasmus, and Dulcea for protecting me from those evil aliens, Zordon," Kim whispered gratefully. "Who knows what horrible things I could be doing if Fienna hadn't fled with me?"

"Believe me, Kimberly. Zordon and I wouldn't want to know," Alpha admitted with a soft groan. "I hate to say it, but Master Vile is looking for Kara. He has ever since she went missing."

"That means he could come to Earth," Kim said fearfully. "If he discovers I am his daughter, he will do everything in his power to get me back."

"Because you are carrying his grandchild, that gives him another potential apprentice for his cause," Zordon pointed out seriously.

"If Rita and Rito find out about me, then they could come after me too," Kim pointed out truthfully.

"That is a possibility, Kimberly. You will need to tell the other Rangers about being a M-51 princess," Alpha added.

"That is what I am afraid of," Kim muttered, swallowing hard. "I do not want them to think differently of me, especially Tommy. I love him more than life itself."

"We understand. Know this. Alpha and I will do everything in our power to protect you and your baby. For now, get some rest," Zordon said.

"Thank you," Kim said and sniffled softly. She leaned back on the bed and hugged the bear close to her. A tear fell from her eye. She had confidence her teammates would beat Rito and his Tengas. She prayed Rocky, Adam, and Aisha would support her and Tommy after she revealed her pregnancy and that they and the others would still think the same of her after she told them about where she was really from.
