Holiday Magic Quest Chapter 5 – The Haunted Mansion

3 HOURS TO SUNRISE

Team Ice had to wind up running to their next destination since the monorail was out of order. Soon, they arrived at their destination. "Wow, this place sure is spooky," said Scrat, standing on Elsa's shoulder, "Anna and Olaf did say that this mansion was our destination…." Elsa said, "Let's go inside. I hope we don't run into any trouble. Wait here, Otto." Otto beeped, saying, "I'll stay here." Elsa and Scrat entered the mansion. Scrat called out, "Hello, anyone there?" Just as Elsa stepped inside, the door slammed shut. Elsa said, "Well, it looks like we're not going anywhere until we finish the challenge." Elsa continued walking through the mansion until they ran into somebody in a strange room.

"Welcome to the Haunted Mansion," said the Ghost Host, "We have exactly 999 happy haunts in residence at this time. But there's always room for two more souls. BWAHAHAHA. By now, you've noticed this chamber has no windows and no doors. So, there is only my way if you would like to proceed. MUWHAHAHA!" Just as their host finished, the lights went out. Both Elsa and Scrat screamed in the dark and soon found another room. Elsa asked, "Whoa, where are we?" Scrat climbed down and took a look around, "Looks like we're in a ballroom, and… what's this?" Scrat picked a letter and read it out loud, "Foolish Mortals, we've been drawn outdoors from our ghostly retreat, so this chilling challenge is yours to complete. We have dressed a new table just outside, but it's shiniest artifacts you must provide. Careful as not to disturb the bride."

"I wonder what we got to do," said Elsa, just as the light want out again. "Scrat, where are you?" Scrat called out, "Over here, hold on, let me use my phone flashlight." He activated his phone flashlight, only to come face to face with The Bride. Scrat screamed as he managed to get out of the way before getting chopped! Scrat crawled onto Elsa's shoulder; she managed to calm Scrat down, "Hey, it's alright we often get scared a few times. Where are we, anyway?" Scrat used the flashlight to light the way, "Looks like we're in the attic. Let's find the case so that we can set up outside." It took a few minutes until Scrat finally found the case. "Found it!" Elsa came over and carried the case for Scrat, "Alright, let's go!" Team Ice could find a way out of the mansion an hour later. They made a few turns and ran into a couple of dead ends.

Team Ice made their way to a table outside the mansion. Just as their tablet went off, it was Yakko. "Hi there, to make the spirits happy, you must set this table for a sumptuous feast. It must match the table in the ghostly image exactly. When you think you got it right, run to ask the raven statue to see if you set the table correctly. Now hurry, the sun is going to rise soon."

Using the image, Elsa and Scrat hurried to set the table using the ghostly image with fog blocking the view for help. Elsa set out the plates while Scrat set out the utensils and cups. "Big plate goes there, that fork goes there." After a few minutes, everything was set out for a feast. Scrat decided to go check, "I'll go check, wait here, Elsa." Scrat ran to the raven statue, only to make an eery sound stating that it wasn't correct. He quickly ran back and said, "Nope, that's not it, maybe we missed something?" Team Ice spend a couple of minutes examining the image, moving forks, spoons, and cups. This time, both Elsa and Scrat decided to go together. They both said, "Is it right?" The raven then made an organ sound stating that it was correct.

"Yes! We did it!" said Scrat. Elsa added, "Together." Team Ice headed back to the entrance where Otto was waiting for them, only to find two laboratory mice on top. "Who are you?" asked Scrat. Brain said, "Greetings, I am The Brain, and this is my assistant, Pinky. Thank goodness we were able to find you, and we happen to have quite a story to explain…." Elsa quickly checked the tablet. They still had 1 hour and 45 minutes until sunrise, "Well, we still got time, go ahead."

"Thank-You, it all started back at our home, ACME Labs…."

ACME LABS – November 23rd 22:00

The Brain exclaimed, "I've done it, Pinky!" Pinky asked, "Done. What? Narf!"

"I discovered what makes Christmas so special. It appears to have a form of magic itself, so if I can, however, reverse the magic itself, then all of the children will come to me for Christmas, and I will take over the world! But, Pinky, are you even paying attention-" Pinky was watching a show called Wandavision, and he was singing the catchiest song ever. "It's been Agatha All Alongggg!" The Brain grabbed Pinky by the nose, "We have no time for your- wait, that's it! So instead of the public blaming us, we can blame her, instead! But, Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?" "I think so, Brain, but shouldn't we have Thanksgiving before Christmas, or was Christmas before Thanksgiving?"

"Never mind, we need someone else to back her up, but who?" Pinky then played another video of a pirate singing a sea shanty. "Pinky, will you just turn off- wait, who's that primate?" Pinky answered, "That's Captain Gutt, master of the seas, himself. Poit!" The Brain thought for a moment, and he then said, "That's it! I'll use the holo-real imaging device I made last week to make Agatha and Gutt take away the holiday magic, then I'll come in and defeat them, and I'll be the ruler of the world!" "Gee, Brain, that's brilliant! Ummmm, should we fix your fancy projector, Brain?"

"Not now, Pinky. We must put our plan into action now!" So, the Brain created Agatha and Gutt with their personalities and powers, teleported them to the Magic Kingdom, and put their plan into action, which led to the events that happened now.

After The Brain finished his story, Team Ice began asking him questions, "So you're the ones responsible for bringing Agatha and Gutt into the kingdom?" asked Scrat. The Brain replied, "Yes." Elsa asked, "And now, Agatha and Gutt took control of themselves?" "Affirmative, the only way to deactivate them and bring back the magic is to complete the quests and the final challenge back at the castle. By the way, aren't there supposed to be four of you?"

Scrat quickly checked his phone, "Our friends, Team Fire, Mal and Sid, are somewhere in the Magic Kingdom. According to my phone, it appears that they are heading toward the Jungle Cruise ride." The Brain suddenly realized something, "Wait, that place is dangerous, your friends could be in trouble! We got to get to them right away!" "What are we waiting for?" asked Elsa, "Let's go!"

Team Ice and their new friends began running as fast as possible to the Jungle Cruise to help their friends, but will they make it in time?
