AN: Welcome to my new story! Even though I'm still working on like four others….Im suffering…. Anyway this story is about a zombie apocalypse. Think about The Walking Dead, Train to Busan, World War Z, Zombieland, all mixed in one. Expect some references but no characters from the shows or movies. Everyone in the manga will show up but keep in mind people die in zombie movies and shows, even main characters. So without further adieu let's just jump into it!
OutBreak
The setting sun hit the city below, usually this would be the time people were getting out of work, or even getting ready to hit the town. But not a single sound was coming from the once busy city. The streets were empty, lined with rows of abandoned cars that stretched on for miles. The buildings themselves had shattered windows, some had pieces of their walls broken, it looked as if a war happened.
As the sun set at the end of the street the outline of someone appeared. The person was clad in a black, worn down jacket. They had on a backpack, and a M24 sniper rifle slung behind their back and a sword around their waist.
With a tired expression the person removed the hood over their head revealing a boy with green hair and eyes, "The sun is going down, I should find a place to stay the night." Looking around the boy saw a three story building just a few blocks down the road. "That will do."
A few minutes later the sun had now gone down, at the same time the boy made it to the building, sword in hand. Closing the door behind him the boy slowly made his way through the dark first floor. "Looks like this used to be an office building. Lots of tight corners, I need to be careful."
As the boy made his way through the first floor he found it clear, now it was time to go up to the second floor. Once again the floor was clear, now for the third floor. As the boy walked up the stairs he could faintly hear the sound of grunting.
Reaching the top of the stairs the boy looked around the corner to see someone standing underneath the shine of the moon that came from a hole in the ceiling. "Only one, must be my lucky day."
With the sword raised the boy slowly approached the person. As he got closer the sounds of it's grunting got louder, it then began to twitch as if it was being electrocuted.
The boy was just about to bring his sword down when from the darkness someone lunged at him. The person roared as they reached out and managed to grab the boy by the arm. "Fuck!"
It then began to snap at the boy in an attempt to bite him. But the boy was strong, he managed to use his sword to block the bite. Pushing the blade forward the boy managed to get the person off of him.
That's when the moon shined on the person revealing their eyes, once filled with life, had turned white. Their skin gray as if they had no blood running through their veins. Their teeth, some missing and others stained red with blood. These were the source of everything, the living dead, or zombies to be precise.
Now with two zombies to deal with the boy ran at one and managed to slice it's arm off as it reached for him again. The zombie didn't even flinch as it kept walking at the boy.
With a slice of his sword the boy managed to slice the torso of the zombie causing the top half to slide off spilling guts and organs all over the floor. He then jammed his sword down, piercing the head and killing the zombie once and for all.
The boy then turned to cut the other zombie but it tackled the boy to the ground. Taken off guard the boy lost his weapon as the zombie tried to bite him.
But with all the strength he had left the boy was barely keeping it away, he needed to do something fast. Looking to his sides he noticed his sword but it was just out of his reach. He also couldn't pull out his sniper rifle since he was atop of it.
That's when the boy remembered he had a hunter's knife around his waist. But he needed a hand free to get it, and both were currently busy keeping the zombie away from him. If he was going to do this, he needed to do it quickly.
With no other option the boy gritted his teeth, dropping one of his arms he quickly reached for his waist. Pulling up his shirt he grabbed the knife, at the same time the zombie overpowered the boy and was now about to bite him.
The boy's eyes widened as the zombie's jaw was just a few inches away but just then the boy plunged the knife into the side of it's head.
The zombie let out a growl as blood splurged out, seeing that it wasn't going down the boy kept stabbing it over and over again.
After twenty stabs to the side of the head the zombie was finally dead and the boy covered in blood. With the boy breathing heavily, he pulled out the knife and dropped it.
Pushing the creatures off of him the boy made sure he didn't have any bites, he didn't. Breathing a sigh of relief, the boy got up and grabbed his sword. He then checked the rest of the floor to find no more zombies.
After securing the stairwell with desks and chairs the boy found a spot on the floor to sit. "Finally, time to eat." Grabbing his backpack the boy pulled out a small gas powered stove. Grabbing the gas canister he noticed how light it was, "Running low, I'll have to find some soon."
The boy then grabbed an old pot and a bottle of water. Placing it on the stove he began to boil said water. Once it was up to a rolling boil the boy reached into his bag and pulled out a cup of instant ramen.
After waiting 5 minutes the food was now ready. Grabbing some chopsticks the boy began to slurp it all down. After finishing it the boy tossed the container, "With the food back at my place I only have food for a week, water for 3. I need to find supplies fast. I'll check this office building in the morning but by the looks of things it's been picked clean."
The boy then yawned, "I should get some sleep."
Thanks to his jacket the boy was warm enough, he then sat up against the wall with his sword in one hand and knife in the other and closed his eyes. Outside a large horde of zombies roamed the streets. This was a world where the dead came back to life.
As the boy drifted off to sleep he dreamed of a time when zombies didn't exist, of a time where he was back home with his mom. But how did it come to this, what happened that turned the world upside down. To figure that out we first have to go back in time, a whole year and a half ago.
Over One Year Ago
The green haired boy sat in class like any other kid. The students were loud since it was the last class before school let out. But this was when the bully's came out to play with the boy.
The boy had his head down on the desk when three boys walked up to his desk and kicked it. "Hey Deku, wake the fuck up." Said a boy with spiky blond hair and red eyes.
Looking up, the green haired boy saw the blond kid, "K-Kachan, what is it?"
"I heard you're trying to get into UA, is that true?" Asked the boy with blond hair.
The green haired kid nodded nervously, "Y-Yes,"
Slamming his fist against the desk the blond let out a small explosion, scaring the green haired kid, "How many times do I have to tell you Deku! I'm the only one getting into UA. Besides, you don't even have a quirk. How do you expect to get it!?" That's when another small explosion occurred from the blond's hand.
"T-They removed that requirement, anyone can now take the entrance exam." Said the boy with green hair.
"Come on Midoriya, do you really think they would want you there?" Asked one of the other kids standing beside the desk. "Bakugo here has the best quirk of this entire school."
Bakugo smirked, "You're damn right I do."
Midoriya put his head down, "I can be a hero if I wanted to."
"Ha! Don't make me laugh! No quirk means you're powerless. But there might be a way for you to get one." Said Bakugo with an evil grin on his face. Midoriya looked up, "Yeah, you just have to jump off and die, maybe then you'll be reborn with a quirk."
The three boys all laughed as they walked away from Midoriya. Even some of the other kids were laughing. Just then the teacher walked in and began to make some announcements, but Midoriya wasn't paying attention. "Izuku! Izuku! Are you listening!?" Asked his teacher.
Snapping out of his thoughts Izuku nodded, "Yeah I'm listening."
"Good, now pay attention before I give you detention." As soon as the teacher said that, Izuku once again began to ignore him.
After a long day Izuku finally made his way home and that's when the first signs of something being wrong were being seen. Normally there would only be a few heroes out and about throughout the city but this time around it looked like all of the heroes were outside and running around in every direction.
Walking past a convenience store Izuku heard something about an accident in the city over, something about a major explosion. Not really concerned, Izuku made it home to find his mother sitting on the sofa watching the tv. The news was reporting about the explosion in the city over, "Ah Izuku you're back."
Izuku smiled, "Hey mom, I'm back. There are a lot of heroes out today, I wonder what's going on?"
Inko then motioned towards the tv, "There seems to be some sort of villain attack. From the looks of things it seems like they attacked multiple cities at once."
Izuku looked at the screen, "Wow, should be fine All Might's out there. He'll have this whole mess wrapped up before nightfall."
Inko smiled at her son and his optimism, "That's right, in the meantime go rest up I'll start dinner soon." Nodding, Izuku went to his room to rest up for a bit. His room was filled with All Might memorabilia, posters, cards, bed sheets, you name it Izuku had it.
Throwing himself on the bed Izuku decided to take a nap. Little did he know that his life would change by the time he would wake up.
Sleeping soundly in his bed, Izuku was suddenly woken by a large explosion that caused the entire apartment complex they were in to shake violently. Startled, Izuku looked around to find light shining through his window. But looking at the time he noticed that it was already 8 pm the sun should have already been down or at the very least twilight.
Getting up Izuku walked over to the window to find that it wasn't the sun that was illuminating his room, it was explosions off in the distance. "Izuku! Izuku!" yelled Inko bursting through his door. "Izuku! We have to go! Grab what you can and let's go!"
Izuku, still in a daze, shook his head, "What's going on!?"
"I don't know but this city is being evacuated. Grab what you can, some clothes and anything you have that's valuable." said Inko as she rushed towards her room.
Emptying out his backpack Izuku began to grab a few changes of clothes, and some important stuff. He then reached under his bed and pulled out an official All Might disaster evacuation bag...yes that was a thing.
Now with all of his stuff Izuku walked out of the room to find his mom putting all the canned food into a bag. "Alright we should be fine with this until we get somewhere safe."
"Where are we going mom?" asked Izuku.
"The report says we should go to the downtown area. Mitsuki and her family are going to pick us up in their car." as Inko was saying that the sound of a car horn was heard. "That must be them now, come on let's go."
Grabbing Izuku, Inko ran down the steps to the apartment and got into the running car. Once inside Izuku saw Mitsuki and Masaru, along with Bakugo. "Good you made it, the whole city has gone crazy." Said Mitsuki. "Did you get what you need?"
Inko nodded, "Yeah, we got everything. How about you guys?"
Masaru nodded, "Same, right now the military is advising everyone to head towards Yokota Air base. They formed a safe haven with the Americans."
"Good, but do we know what's happening?" Asked Inko.
Mitsuku shook her head, "Some say it's a quirk, others are saying it's a bioweapon developed here. All we know is that it's spreading and fast."
As the adults were talking Izuku looked outside the window as people frantically ran for their lives. "What do you think is going on Kachan?"
Bakugo shrugged, "Beats me, but if it's a villain All Might will take care of them." That was something Izuku could agree with.
It had now been two hours since Izuku left his home and they were currently approaching the military base. But as they approached the base a troubling sign could be seen.
As they neared the hill Izuku and the rest of the group saw a large plume of black smoke rise. "That can't be good." Said Inko.
However as they made the final turn Masaru slammed on the brakes. "Oh my god…" said Mitsuki as she saw what was in front of her.
Izuku looked over the seat and what he saw shocked him. There in front of the base was a massive hoard of people, the gates to the base were ripped off and the people were flooding inside.
But as they stopped, all of them turned to look. Inko was the first to notice their dead looking eyes and the blood that poured out their open wounds. "Get us out of here. Now!"
Masaru quickly put the car in reverse and drove off. But as he was, the hoard of people began to run at them. "Come on, go faster!" Yelled Mitsuki.
"I'm trying!" Yelled back Masaru as he turned the steering wheel hard to get the car pointing forward.
The car screeched as it spun around, with the car now facing the right way Masaru was about to step on it. When out of nowhere a loud thunk was heard, "What the hell!" Looking back Mitsuki saw a person grabbing at the end of the car.
"Shit! He's got us!" Yelled Inko as the rear tires would spin but not move. "Everyone out!"
Grabbing what they could, everyone got out of the car as the person flipped the car over. "Run!" Yelled Mitsuki.
Grabbing Izuku, Inko ran practically dragging Izuku along. "The city isn't that far away. We can lose them there." Said Masaru.
But as he was running a vine suddenly grabbed his leg, stopping him from running. The group stopped to see a person from the hoard activating their quirk. "Masaru!" Mitsuki was about to turn back when a vine wrapped around her waist.
Bakugo's eyes went wide, "Old hag!"
He tried to go help her but Mitsuki stopped him, "No! Don't come over here, run! You have to get away from here!"
That's when the screams of her husband were heard. Looking back the group saw as the hoard began to take bites out of the man's body.
Seeing her husband being eaten made Mitsuki angry, "Go! Now! For once in your life listen to me and go! Listen to what Inko has to say, she'll get you out of here."
With a heavy heart Bakugo gritted his teeth, "F-Fine! God damn it!"
Turning to leave, Bakugo began to run with Izuku and Inko behind him. Mitsuki smiled as she saw her son run away, "Well would you look at that. Seems to me like he can listen." Mitsuki let out a small laugh. "You brat."
The hoard then descended down on her, taking bites of her flesh and devouring it. Soon Mitsuki would be engulfed by the wave of undead.
With only the three remaining they managed to make it to the city. But even there they found the undead roaming the city. "Now what?" Asked Izuku.
Inko looked around frantically and found a building that seemed to be safe. "There! If we can get past them, we should be safe inside."
Bakugo looked in front to see at least 20 zombies. "Should be easy enough. Let's go!" Said Bakugo as explosions rippled in his hands.
Nodding the three of them got ready and on the count of three they ran towards the building. Izuku was in front with All Might shovel in hand smacking away people who got too close. Bakugo would then use his explosions to finish them off.
This worked fine until more zombies began to show up. Soon the group found themselves overwhelmed, "There's too many of them!" Yelled Bakugo as he blew another one up.
Inko, who was armed with an iron pan, agreed, but they had no other choice but to keep going forward. "We can't stop! We stay here, we're dead."
But Inko knew if this went on they would all die. Looking at the zombies and at a frightened Izuku she knew what she had to do.
Kneeling down Inko grabbed Izuku's shoulders, "Listen to me Izuku I know you're scared but I need you to do something for me. Promise me that you'll keep on living, no matter what you have to do, you keep living. Can you promise me that?"
Not knowing fully what was happening Izuku nodded, "Y-Yeah, I promise!"
Inko smiled, "Just like your father." She then kissed him on the forehead. "I love you Izuku."
Standing up, Inko turned towards the front. And much to Izuku's surprise Inko ran in. Throwing herself into the middle of the zombies, Inko began to activate her quirk.
Her power was special because it allowed her to pull in objects towards her. Normally it would only be small stuff but now, whole people were being pulled towards her. "Mom!" Yelled Izuku.
He tried to help but as he ran Bakugo stopped him, "It's too late, we can't help her! She's sacrificing herself so we can live. Let's go!'
Bakugo then dragged Izuku as he watched his mother being overtaken by the hoard. As they ran Izuku had tears in his eyes as his mother fell victim.
Thanks to Inko the boys managed to get to the building. Once inside they managed to push a table in front of the door to stop anyone from coming in.
Now with some time to breathe the two fell to the floor exhausted. But as they rested the magnitude of their situation became clear. They had just lost their parents. The water works now started for Bakugo, he tried to cover his face but Izuku could tell he was crying.
After 30 minutes the two stopped crying, "We should check the house. See if we can find anything useful." Said Bakugo.
Izuku nodded and picked himself up, "Y-Yeah."
They then began to look through the house for anything they could use as weapons. Bakugo found two baseball bats and gave one to Izuku.
Izuku found some food and split it with Bakugo. Soon night time would fall on the city so the two went up to the second floor and found rooms.
They each took one and tried to get some sleep, but neither could. But around 3 am is when things went wrong again. The two were suddenly awakened to the sound of jets roaring above the sky.
The sound of the jet engine managed to shake the entire building. "What the hell is going on!?" Asked Bakugo.
However his question would soon be answered when a large explosion was heard. The building shook like crazy, only to be followed by another explosion, then another.
Bursting into the room Bakugo was in, Izuku looked at his friend. "Are they bombing the city!?"
That's when a large explosion erupted atop the building. The explosion shredded the house the two boys were in, causing it to collapse.
Izuku was knocked out in the process and buried under some wood and bricks. It was only until the sun rose that Izuku would wake up, bleeding from his head. "W-What happened?"
That's when he remembered last, "Kachan….oh no Kacchan! Kachan! Are you there!" Yelled Izuku, but he got no answer.
After a few unsuccessful attempts to free himself Izuku finally managed to get free and noticed his legs were bruised.
Pushing off the wood Izuku looked around to see the entire city flattened. "My god…." Buildings crumbled, cars were on fire, and streets were torn up. But even that couldn't stop the hoard, Izuku watched as the zombies appeared from the rubble and began to walk towards him.
He had to move, but he wanted to find Bakugo. He called out for his friend once again but still no answer, Izuku feared the worst. But he couldn't stay; he promised his mom he would live no matter what, even if that meant leaving Bakugo.
Rummaging through the rubble of the house Izuku found his All Might bag and the baseball bat Bakugo had given him. With that Izuku began to run, he ran for hours, past burning buildings, countless dead bodies, and just tried to survive.
That was over a year ago, and now Izuku had only one thing on his mind, survive. Normally Izuku would wake up by himself at first light but this time he was awakened by the sound of footsteps.
Snapping his eyes open, Izuku reached for his sword but was stopped when he felt the cold press of a gun barrel on his forehead. "Easy, I don't want to hurt you." said a voice through the darkness.
Izuku could see the gun but since the sun was barely coming out he couldn't see the person. "Is that all the food you have?" the person asked. Izuku could tell the person in the dark was a girl by the voice.
"Yeah, that's all." said Izuku as he moved his hand away from his sword.
The person then moved over to his side and kicked the sword away, "Don't bother reaching for your gun I already unloaded the bullets."
Izuku looked down to see the bullets from his sniper rifle scattered on the floor. "Just take the food and leave."
The person scoffed, "I was planning on it, killing you wouldn't benefit me anyway." Reaching down, the person grabbed Izuku's food supply and slowly backed away. The gun disappeared from the light, but the sound of her retreating was heard. Izuku stayed put until he heard footsteps running down the steps.
Quickly getting up Izuku grabbed his sword, and then his sniper rifle that was thrown to the side. Grabbing a handful of the bullets Izuku ran up to the roof, by the time he got up there and looked through his scope the girl that just stole from him was about 2 blocks away.
The girl had short brown hair and was wearing a back shirt with black pants, "There you are." grabbing a bullet, Izuku loaded it into the chamber and pulled back the bolt hammer. Looking into the scope Izuku now had the girl in his cross hairs. Putting the tip of his finger on the trigger, Izuku took a deep breath and squeezed.
As the girl ran down the street a loud bang was heard, but before she could even turn around to see what it was, something whistled past her leg and hit the ground in a spark. The girl then screamed out in pain as the bullet had actually managed to scratch her leg. With blood running down the cut the girl looked behind her and saw Izuku on the roof of the building. "Son of a bitch…"
If Izuku wanted to, his shot would have killed her before she knew what had hit her, but even now Izuku wanted to give the girl one chance, to drop the stuff and leave. "You can either put my stuff down, or the next shot goes through your eyes. Your call."
The girl quickly pulled out her gun and pointed it towards Izuku. Izuku in turn loaded another bullet, one of them was dying right now and Izuku knew his chances were better. The girl gritted her teeth but as she was deciding what to do the groans of an undead were heard throughout the street.
Izuku looked down the road to see a wall of green sludge approaching, "Shit, it's a quirker!"
Quirkers were zombies who had full use of their quirks after they turned into zombies. Normally a person would lose their quirk once they turned or in some cases have a very limited use of their quirk.
The girl tried to run away but with her injured leg she couldn't move as fast. She managed to turn around and fire her weapon but the bullets were just being absorbed into the sludge zombie's body.
12 shells rang out followed by a clicking sound, the girl was out of bullets. "Damn it." She then looked up to see a green sludge tendril come down towards her.
The girl tried to jump out of the way but the tendril managed to smack her against the wall. With a loud grunt the girl fell to the concrete floor, slowly getting up the girl watched as the sludge zombie approached her.
Now within a few meters it once again tried to reach out for her. But with no way of escaping and with her injured leg the girl was out of options. "I'm sorry mom, dad, but I'll see you two soon."
With that the girl closed her eyes and accepted her fate. But as she did a loud bang was heard coming from the street. The girl watched as the tendril that was coming after her was split in two causing a piece of it to fall and splat on the floor.
The sludge zombie roared as it backed away from the girl. With a ping, the sound of a bullet being re-chambered was heard, "Hey ugly! I'm over here!"
The zombie looked at Izuku before running after him. Izuku smirked as it got closer, but as it did Izuku reached into his backpack pulled out the portable stove with the gas and threw it at the zombie.
The sludge villain opened its mouth as the stove entered it, but as it did Izuku reloaded and aimed his weapon.
Kneeling down to one knee, Izuku steadied himself before looking into the scope and seeing the stove. "Gotcha."
With the squeeze of the trigger Izuku fired. The bullet sliced through the cold morning air as it flew toward the sludge zombie.
But Izuku wasn't aiming for the body, no he was aiming for the gas stove he threw. With a loud click the gas stove exploded as the bullet pierced it's tank.
The shockwave wasn't all that much but it did manage to blow out any windows near it. Izuku watched as the lit gas fire fell over the sludge villain, completely covering it in flames.
The zombie screeched out in pain as the flames devoured it. Izuku then walked up to the girl, "Can you stand?"
The girl looked at Izuku, "Barely."
Izuku then offered a hand, "Come on, all this commotion will just attract more zombies."
Helping the girl up, Izuku threw her arm around his neck and began walking away. After going for a few blocks and getting into a building they made sure the entrance was blocked before resting.
The girl slumped down against the wall, her breathing heavy and her leg still bleeding. That's when Izuku dug into his bag and grabbed some first aid supplies. Kneeling down in front of the girl, Izuku looked at the wound, "It's not deep, I'll just clean it and patch it up."
Izuku then began to apply the first aid, after cleaning the wound he began to dress it in some bandage wrap. The girl was surprised, why was this stranger that she just stole from helping her. "Why?"
Izuku was busy wrapping her leg to look up, "Why what?"
"Why help me? I just stole from you." Said the girl.
Izuku smiled as he finished tying the bandage, "There's no reason, I just felt like it I guess. Yeah you stole from me but you didn't kill me like others would. That means you have some morals, or at the very least shows me that you still have some shred of humanity left." The girl was stunned. "Besides you needed help, I wouldn't have been able to live with myself if I let a cute girl like you die."
The girl's eyes widened as a small blush formed around her cheeks. She then turned away, not letting Izuku see her face. "Uraraka."
Izuku tilted his head, "My name is Ochaco Uraraka."
Standing up, Izuku helped Uraraka get to her feet, "Well then Uraraka, my name is Izuku Midoriya, how about we don't kill each other and eat. You're hungry right?"
Uraraka looked away, "I never said that." However, at that moment Uraraka's stomach began to growl. Turning a bit red she looked up at Izuku, "That sounds like a good idea to me. Sorry about stealing from you."
"Nah it's okay, sorry about shooting you. We'll just call it even. But I have to ask, how did you sneak up on me? I would have heard you the moment you walked into the building." Asked Izuku.
"It's because of my quirk," she then raised her hand showing off little pads on the tips of her fingers. "If I touch anything with all five pads they'll lose their gravity."
Izuku then pieced it together, "So you used your quirk on yourself to get in without making a sound. That's impressive."
As Izuku was mesmerized by her quirk the front door began to get pounded on. "They found us." said Uraraka as she grabbed her weapon which didn't have any bullets.
"No, we can't fight them here. Let's go, I know a way out." Said Izuku, grabbing his stuff and running up the stairs. Uraraka quickly followed, as they made it to the second floor the front door was then breached allowing the undead to come flooding inside.
Since there were so many and all trying to get to Izuku and Uraraka they began to get in each other's way. They tried to go upstairs but too many wanted to get there first that they caused a massive pile up preventing any of them from passing.
Going into the master bedroom Izuku began to move the wardrobe. As he removed it a hole in the wall was revealed that led to a back street, only one problem. There was no way to get safely down, or any place to jump to.
Izuku turned to Uraraka, "Think you can float us up?"
Uraraka nodded, "Easy."
Reaching out, Uraraka grabbed Izuku's arm causing him to float, she then used it on herself. With a firm grip on Izuku, Uraraka jumped out of the window.
The two floated up until they passed the roof, "Drop us." Said Izuku.
Nodding Uraraka let go of Izuku and touched her finger tips together, "Release!"
The two fell towards the roof, with a tuck and roll they both landed safely. The two then looked over the ledge to see the zombie hoard falling out of the hole in the wall. "Lucky for us none of them were quirkers. Let's get the hell out of here." Said Izuku.
Izuku turned to leave with Uraraka right behind him, "Where are we going?"
"Back to my place. Since I blew up my own stove I'll need the spare back at base." Said Izuku. "Oh and don't worry I won't do anything to you. I know there are some awful people out there. So you can let go of your gun."
Uraraka, who had her hand behind her back, had a spare tucked away behind her back, "You can't expect me just to trust you right away. You do seem different from the others but still..."
"Yeah I know, alright fine." Izuku turned around and held his sniper rifle in front of him. Uraraka gripped her gun tighter as she thought Izuku was going to try something. "Relax."
Pointing the barrel down, Izuku released the clip causing the magazine to fall. "See no more bullets. Happy?" Asked Izuku.
"I'm not stupid." Uraraka then motioned to the sniper. "Chamber, empty it."
Izuku smiled as he pulled back the bolt and out popped the bullet. He then threw it at Uraraka to which she caught, "What about now?"
Pocketing the bullet, Uraraka let go of her weapon. "It will do, I'll let you keep your sword. Pretty sure I can shoot you before you get to me."
"My base isn't too far from here. It's about a two hour walk to the beach." Said Izuku looking towards the rising sun.
"Let's go but you take the lead. I don't want you behind me." Izuku agreed. The two then walked for about 2 hour, sneaking past zombies and avoiding large open areas.
They soon found themselves on the beach with the cold salty air hitting their faces. But much to Uraraka's surprise Izuku's base was a pile of trash, literally.
The entire beach was covered in trash, old tvs, tables, chairs, even an old broken down car. "This is where you stay?" Asked Uraraka.
"Yeah. I know it looks like trash but let me show you something." The two then walked onto the sand and stopped in front of a wall of sheets of metal and wire. Grabbing a chain that was on the side, Izuku began to pull. As he did, a section of the wall began to rise revealing that it was actually a door.
Izuku motioned Uraraka to get in, which she did. Once inside Uraraka was surprised to see a large school bus parked against the shore line and a large open area with spikes resembling Czech Hedgehogs. "Welcome to my place."
Uraraka looked around surprised, "This place, did you build it yourself?"
Izuku nodded, "Sure did, took forever but you'll be surprised what kind of stuff people throw away. I even found a working radio, but it crapped out on me a few days ago. Currently trying to fix it."
"Wow, this is impressive. One way in, one way out. Easy to defend and you found random things that could help you. Although I do see some structural weakness." Said Uraraka looking at the wall surrounding them.
"Really? How can you tell?' asked Izuku.
"My parents used to run a construction company before the world went to shit. I went along with them on some of their sites, even learned a thing or two about building." Explained Uraraka.
"I see." Izuku then clapped his hands together. "Let's eat, food and a place to eat are on the bus."
Walking into the bus, Uraraka was surprised to see a shelf with some food and water on it. Going over to the cabinet Izuku grabbed a energy bar and a bottle of water and tossed it at Uraraka. "Here, it ain't much but it'll get you through the day."
Uraraka nodded and quickly began to unravel the bar before devouring it in a few seconds. She then opened the bottle of water and chugged it. "H-How long has it been since you've eaten?" Asked Izuku.
"About 3 days. Up until then I've been walking around looking for food. That's when I saw you from afar and thought you'd be an easy pick." explained Uraraka. "Guess I was wrong."
"Guess so." Said Izuku with a slight laugh. "So what's your story? How'd you survive the first wave?"
Uraraka gripped the water bottle, "Pure luck I guess. But since you gave me food, I may as well tell you."
AN: And that's the chapter? What do you guys think? I wanted to do another superhero crossover thing but I'd figured I would give myself more creative freedom by making it a zombie infested world. That way I can really do things I'd normally couldn't for the sake of the story. Still deciding if this is the right story or if I should stick with a super hero type thing, if I was going to do one it would be a Spider-Man one since I'm a huge fan. Let me know if you liked this or if you would rather see another super hero one.
