A scowl suddenly appeared on Supergirl's face as soon as one creature approached her. Supergirl glanced at Amos.
''Go to the farm. I'll join you after I defeat the creature,'' she said.
''If you defeat the creature,'' Amos muttered.
Supergirl continued to scowl.
''I'll help,'' Amos offered.
''A mouth tentacle? I don't think so. I'll use super strength or something,'' Supergirl said. She faced the creature as it tried to scratch her. Supergirl placed her palm on its paw. It lowered its paw on the ground.
Supergirl cried out the minute its tail struck her. She collapsed and struggled to prevent herself from losing consciousness.
Supergirl thought she viewed his wide eyes. Was he going to sob? Hopefully she was going to be unconscious if Amos cried. She stirred.
Scowling, Amos attacked the animal with a mouth tentacle and viewed it running seconds later. He approached Supergirl and lifted her.
The tentacle returned to him at a snail's pace.
Amos smirked. ''The mouth tentacle worked.''
Supergirl smiled for a moment and fell asleep in his arms.
