"Thanks for coming with me, Pyrrha."

"It's no problem. And besides, what are sisters for?"

Kyrie and Pyrrha were aboard a Bullhead that was on its way to the island of Fortuna. The Mistralian government had allowed some of the island's former inhabitants to come back to allow them to retrieve some of the stuff they were forced to abandon. Kyrie had immediately signed up. It took a while, but eventually, she got picked.

Of course, still being a teen, they had required her to be accompanied by someone who was at least capable of fighting. At this, she had decided to pick her sister. Since when they were just pen pals, Pyrrha had once expressed the thought of coming over to visit her home. But because of the whole debacle with Sanctus, they were derailed.

At least, with this, she can at least show her around for a bit as they went to get some things from her old home. Kyrie sighed wistfully as she watched the calm waves of the ocean. A part of her was happy to be visiting her old home, but it was completely overridden by the still, painful memories of her brother's death.

The younger redhead perked up, feeling her sister's hand on her shoulder. "It's gonna be okay, Kyrie. I'll be right behind you, making sure you don't get hurt."

"Thank you..."

The rest of the ride went along quietly as the both of them patiently waited to arrive at their destination. It took quite a while, but eventually, they were now at Fortuna. The sisters stepped down the Bullhead, looking at the mostly cleaned up island. There were still some debris lying around, the buildings, of course, still broken.

Kyrie looked down, unsure if she could do it. Pyrrha took her hand and gently squeezed it, giving her a slight confidence boost. They walked along the road, gazing at the once beautiful structures, shattered to pieces because of the desires of a megalomaniac.

"It's such a shame this had to have happened. The people of Fortuna didn't deserve this kind of thing to happen to them." muttered Pyrrha.

Her sister could only nod in agreement. Kyrie stopped in her tracks, looking at a building that was mostly intact. Getting closer to it, she smiled sadly as Pyrrha trailed behind her, staring at it with mostly fond memories.

"Credo and I used to frequent this bakery before he was assigned duties to the Order. He'd always treat me out here for brunch, buying me my favorite pastries. I took Ner-I mean, Jaune here too, once."

"It's fine, Kyrie. Call him however you'd like, he is your friend."

"Oh! Okay then. I took Nero out here after showing him around Fortuna. You would've liked that pastries there, sis. They were so good. They served Nutella Swirls there!"

Pyrrha smirked. Grabbing her bag, she opened it up and revealed the aforementioned pastry. Kyrie gasped and grabbed the one her sister offered.

"Mom packed us a lot. So, don't worry, it'll last until the end of the day."

The younger redhead smiled and took a bite out of the delicious baked good that her adopted mother had made for them. As they ate, the two of them ventured further into the ruined homes. However, unbeknownst to them, there was another presence on the island. For now, it watched two ladies before vanishing off.

They then came across Fortune Beach, making Kyrie smile.

"Credo and I like to take walks along this place. It's just so soothing and peaceful."

Pyrrha nodded in agreement. The calm waves of the ocean brushing up against the sand. The cool breeze that brushed against your skin. And the beautiful view that the seas provided? Perfect mood to take a stroll.

For a moment, they decided to take a break, content on watching the scenery. Getting an idea, Pyrrha fished out her Scroll and nudged at her little sister. Immediately, she knew what Pyrrha had wanted to do. They took a bunch of pictures, making all sorts of faces and poses.

Everything was quiet, and it felt eerie for Pyrrha. It made her a bit paranoid that something bad was about to happen. They'd been walking for an hour straight, and they have yet to encounter anything bad...for now.

Eventually, the two of them had arrived. Things were tense for Kyrie, having not set foot in her former home since Sanctus's plans. With a deep breath, she twisted open the knob and gently pushed open the door as it creaked. The Nikos sisters stepped into the home and was met with a room filled with dust and cobwebs, but luckily, no debris of any kind.

Kyrie's face took on a dejected expression as the house that she lived in for so long was reduced in such a state. It was very sad. Pyrrha gently gripped her shoulder to get her attention. "I'll stand guard outside. Just take all the time that you need, mkay?"

She nodded. Pyrrha walked out, allowing Kyrie to do what she needed to do. The younger redhead sighed as she approached a picture frame that contained a photo of her and Credo, years ago. A sad smile crossed her lips, remembering when the photo was taken. It had been when he was first inducted as a knight of the Order, and she felt extremely happy for her brother.

She dusted it off and decided to take it with her. Looking around the living room, there weren't much that were still useful, or had sentimental value. Except for the books that she had. Kyrie placed them in her pack. It'd be a waste to just leave them here. With nothing else to take, she took a quick breath and walked upstairs, where her and Credo's room were located.

Kyrie went to her room first and couldn't help but chuckle sardonically at the amount of dust that's accumulated. The neat freak inside of her was freaking out at how untidy her room was, screaming at her to feel disappointed. Scanning her old room, she grew even more dejected as her eyes fell on the circlet protected by a glass case.

Walking up to it, Kyrie gently lifted it up to look at her head ornament. The circlet was a birthday gift...from her parents before their untimely death. It was the last thing they gave to her before the two of them died. Kyrie broke down into tears at the memory of her birth parents. Even now, she still missed them.

Wiping off her tears, she placed the circlet along with the others and left her room. She approached Credo's and steeled herself. However, her hand froze up, hearing something inside. From what she could gather, it was a man, rummaging through her brother's room, and he sounded very irritated.

"One would think that a man like Credo would have some files from the Order in his room… Tch. Perhaps I should have gone for Fortuna Castle at the very beginning."

Fortuna Castle? The place where the Order performed their experiments and whatever inhuman thing that they have kept a secret, But, why would someone want to try and find those sort of stuff. Kyrie slowly inched back, not liking at the thought of being alone with a stranger. Unfortunately for her, the floorboards creaked when she stepped on it.

A hand burst through the door and clutched Kyrie by the throat, eliciting a scream from her. Outside, Pyrrha heard her sister's scared shouts and grew concerned. As she turned to enter, a grenade rolled down her feet and detonated, slamming her into a wall and disoirented her.

The figure from earlier leaped out of the wreckage and landed on the roofs, carrying Kyrie with him. The man was nearly indistinguishable. His body was wrapped with a large cloak and his head covered by a hood. The only thing that was visible of him was his long, white hair and mouth. He turned to face Pyrrha and gave her a troll-ish grin, rocketing off with Kyrie in tow.

"Pyrrha…!"

"Kyrie!"

The Huntress-in-training pushed herself and shook it off, quickly hurrying after her sister's captor. The man moved with the swiftness of the wind, and nimbleness of an acrobat, easily traversing every obstacle that was on the rooftops he jumped on. Pyrrha didn't give up, and kept on following after them. This both impressed and irritated the man.

"Persistent, are we?" Momentarily, he stopped. He grinned and snapped his fingers. Out of nowhere, swarms of insects surrounded Pyrrha, summoning out numerous Scarecrows that barred her path. "This one's on me!"

With that, he continued on, leaving Pyrrha to deal with the burlap sack demons. Gritting her teeth, she brandished out her xiphos and shield, Akuou and Milo. "I don't have time for this. Get out of my way!"

The Scarecrows merely shrieked at her and lunged to strike. Pyrrha blocked their attacks and tripped with her xiphos, kicking them away and tried to run through, only for more to appear. Left with no other choice, she moved to dispatch every Scarecrow. Pyrrha let out a war cry as she fiercely swung her blade, seriously injuring them, remembering the things Jaune told her about them.

She grunted, shifting her xiphos into its javelin form and threw it through a line of them, all being stabbed straight in the stomach. Some of them tried to attack her again, completely forgetting that she still had her shield. She raised Milo and pushed them back. Doing a back flip, she hurled her shield at the demons like a disk. They were all idiots and ended up getting decapitated.

Catching her shield, she hurried over to catch up to her sister's kidnapper, only to be met with even more Scarecrows. Lightly growling, she brought forth her hand and called upon her Semblance, a black glow covering her arm.

"Out. Of my. Way!"

The same glow outlined the blade's on the burlap sack demons. She raised her hand, forcing the blades to follow. Performing a flow of motions, Pyrrha ripped the blades off their arms and legs and stabbed them into the ground with it, letting them suffer in agony.

This time, no other interruptions came, allowing Pyrrha to head on forward, grabbing Akuou along the way. She didn't stop running, looking in every direction for any sign of her sister. Dammit all! It had only been six months since she and Kyrie properly met, becoming sisters. She promised the younger girl that she'd do her best to be there for her, to protect her!

Pyrrha took in deep breaths, trying to calm herself. Getting angry or sad over it wasn't going to help. Better to use her energy in searching for her than getting so worked up over it. However, before she could even start her search, the stranger reappeared. He looked down on the older redhead, a smirk on his face.

"As I figured. Those demons were all but easy pray to you, Ms. Little Prodigy. So tell me, how did it feel tearing them apart, Pyrrha? Did it feel good?"

She merely brushed off his claims and focused more on demanding where her sister was. The stranger grinned and pulled up Kyrie by her collar, making her scream in terror as he held her over the edge, causing Pyrrha to tense up. The elicited reaction caused him to chuckle in amusement.

"I've always been curious just how strong the bond between sisters were. More so, when they've only known each other for six months!"

Without prompt, the stranger threw Kyrie off, much to Pyrrha's horror.

"KYRIE!"

She jumped up to catch her, only to be stopped and choked by what to be a metallic arm. The stranger grinned and controlled it to clutch tightly around the redhead's neck. Pyrrha gritted her teeth as she struggled. Using her Semblance, she pulled out Akuou, and launched it with her polarity, pinning her sister to the wall before she plummeted to her death.

This caught the man off-guard, allowing Pyrrha to pry off the hand pull it down, along with her. The stranger grunted in surprise, being forced alongside his arm. With no other choice, he dropped down onto the ground, quite nimbly. He wrested back his arm, returning it to its body as Pyrrha got her sister done, checking up on her injuries.

"Polarity… How interesting."

The man pulled out a single sai, coated in a pink-ish purple glow. He grinned and aimed it at a two-story home. Then, without warning, that building shook and was promptly ripped out of its foundation. The sisters gaped in absolute shock as the stranger lifted it up above him with ease.

"The Wind of Destruction… it would be wise of you to remember that!"

With a grunt, he brought down the entire thing on the two of them. Pyrrha's body moved on auto, grabbing Kyrie by the arm and dragging her out of the way. However, the building had crashed quickly, sending out some debris towards them. Only one thing came to Pyrrha's mind - she had to protect her sister. She wrapped herself around Kyrie, shielding her from the rubble that was launched out.

As luck would have it, her Aura took the brunt of the barrage, leaving her with almost no injuries. But it did sting. Getting off, the Huntress-in-training looked at her sister with concern.

"Are you alright?"

Kyrie shakily nodded, a bit shaken up from what just happened. She pulled herself up with Pyrrha's arm, dusting her clothes. The younger redhead checked her pack and saw that she hadn't lost anything, making her sigh in relief. The two headed back to Kyrie's old home to resume what they were doing…only to find it had been reduced to nothing but cinders.

Kyrie fell to her knees, staring in disbelief. She buried her face into her sister's chest, tears running down her cheeks. Pyrrha wrapped her arms around Kyrie once again, but this time, for a comforting hug. The older redhead rubbed her back, whispering to her that it was going to be okay.

For a few moments, they stayed like that until Kyrie pried herself off, wiping away her tears. She stood up, looking at the remains with nothing but sorrow. She had so many memories of her old house, and it deeply hurt for it to have burned down. And what was worse? She wasn't able to get anything from Credo's room.

"Hey, Kyrie. There's something that survived." said Pyrrha, grabbing Kyrie's attention.

That something seemed to be metallic, prompting Pyrrha to use her Semblance to pull it towards them. Slowly but surely, she managed to get it. The item was covered with ashes and soot, but just based on the shape, Kyrie could tell what it was.

"Credo's old Caliburn!" she exclaimed.

Pyrrha tilted her head, noticing that the sword looked quite similar to her childhood friend's weapon. "That thing looks like Jaune's Red Queen."

"Mmm. It does. The Caliburns were the standard weaponry of the Order, and the Durandals were reserved for Executives. So, they though it was strange when Nero first washed up with his sword."

Kyrie took hold of the sword, letting Pyrrha release her grasp on it. The younger redhead hummed, wiping the soot off the weapon with a cleaning rag. She was going to bring the Caliburn back with her, since it would be better to take it than leave it for some random person to take it. Besides, she had some memories of Credo letting her hold it, even if it was heavy.

Pyrrha grabbed two Nutella Swirls out of her bag and handed one over to Kyrie. She took out her Scroll, which was mostly undamaged, and call their pilot to come pick them up. They then walked back to where the Bullhead would arrive. Pyrrha looked at her sister in concern, placing a hand on her shoulder.

"Are you sure you'll be okay?"

Kyrie nodded, giving her a smile. "I guess, with what happened here, they're telling me to move on with my life in Fortuna, and make new memories with my family in Mistral."

"But that doesn't mean that you'll ever forget them, right? You'll keep them in your memories, and live on for them."

"That's right."

The Nikos smiled at each other, clasping each other's hand in a supportive manner. Come what may, they will brave against the trials and help one another problem with their problems. Simply because, that's what sister do.

Now, this chapter is six months after DMC4 events, so Pyrrha and Jaune haven't started dating yet, and Kyrie is still settling down with the Nikos family.

Now, as for the stranger who appeared, he'll come back in the main story...maybe. Who he is, you either know or don't. Though, I think it is previous who he is, if his dialogue hasn't given him away.

Next chapter will feature Jaune's sisters - Luna and Sol, with a small flashback cameo of Vergil.
