Azure King: Well I am glad to see this fic still have a lot of support. Thank you all and here is my usual massive update on my birthday, on the 24th, well I work tomorrow so I don't have time to update in the morning so here's an early gift from me and if you be so kind please enjoy and leave a review to support this story.
START CHAPTER!
Norn glared as she stepped forward, "Let him go…" She demanded watching the Bug like Digimon tenderly hold her friend. "Last warning." She declared before the Digimon dash at her…
Norn smiled as everything came down to a slow start, she looked to see a nearby clock, an analog one, as a single second past. Three mins I can slow down time with my brain going all out…' It was a unique skill that she recently acquired, when hearing the theory of relativity it made her wonder if she can prove it by constantly controlling it. To a degree it was boring...but at times like this?
She blinked as the Digimon was still coming after her, if only by inch by inch, alright no more thinking. Time for actual thinking, the girl took notice of the body structure of the being and then accounted for Naruto's own...ok. "Resume." She spoke but the speed of the words might have been gibberish to all but her, before leaning to the right as she lifted her hands to take a hold of Naruto's jacket, as she took a step forward as the bug woman still went forward. "And thanks for giving him back." Norn declared as she tugged hard on her friend's clothing as he was easily ripped away from the now Naruto-less monster.
"How- gah!"
Norn couldn't help but felt slight sympathy for her enemy as she crashed into the wall hard, "Naruto are you ok?" She asked looking down and saw blue powder on his face, taking a small amount by her finger tracing Naruto's face, she licked it to notice something. Her tongue went a bit numb, "Anesthesia?"
Most general anesthesia were in gas or pill forms, never in her life was such a unique type as a powder. "Alright, thank god I went to the med labs to restock on future tests." She pulled out a small pill before making Naruto shallow it-
"WHOA~! HOT HOTHOT!" He shouted totally red as he flipped away from Norn, "Did you give me one of Gai-sensei's supplements!?"
Norn smiled as the teacher did make rether good natural remedies for such things like dizziness or drowsiness...and now also good to wake up from a forced anesthetic slumber. "She did it, some kind of sleep drug." Norn brought up to speed for Naruto as he saw the Bug slowly recovering over her crash. "We need to leave now."
"Oh no you-"
"HEY!"
The bug woman and two children, the latter of whom were greatly shocked on who it was, "Screw you!" *BONK* They watched as someone jumped from the stands and slammed down a fire extinguisher at the head of the Digimon, causing it to fall into unconsciousness easily. Naruto smiled widely to see it was none other than, "Ruki?!" He said happily to see his new rival leading a hand.
The girl didn't smile back nor give any response, "Call the police, this woman is going to-" She stopped as she heard the groaning of the being she knocked out, or thought she did, behind her.
"Well, that hurts!" She glared, assuming from her angry looking frown, at the new girl. "Now get away from-"
"METAL CANNON!"
Norn eyes were full of stars as she saw a large almost the size of a bowling ball of metal blasted into the insect being into the stands, "SUGOI~!" She moved to the purple Digimon, touching his throat. "Did it hurt, do you feel less weighhhhhht!?" She cried out as Naruto picked her up and dashed out of the arena with Ruki following them quickly.
As they ran along with the Digimon, which both Ryudamon and DORUmon now had both their trainers and Ruki (riding behind Naruto), "Why did you help us?" Norn looked back to see Ruki scoffing.
"Toys you made? Really?" The orange haired girl said in an amused tone, "But… are these really-?"
Naruto nodded, turning his head slightly to see her, "I'll gladly explain what happened after we get to Norn's house!"
The tomboy gritted her teeth but nodded to the deal, but the three looked behind themselves when they heard loud crashing. And crashing from a wall was that bug lady! "Whoa- *Whoor, whoor!*
Norn and Naruto looked down to see in their pockets, their former Card Scanners glowing, and both children pulled the devices to see a small circle showing the Digimon that drugged Naruto. "Hudiemon, insect champion level. Be careful of its Infinity Dream, it can poison or cause paralysis!" Norn said only reading the big warnings that caused her to yell.
"I never heard of a Digimon like that!" Ruki declared as they made a sharp turn, "She won't stop chasing us!"
None nodded cupping her chin, "Indeed, idea! Naruto, you remember that time with the bees?"
It took a few moments to make Naruto remember but his savage smile stayed plastered on his face. "Oh yeah… you thinking what I'm thinking?"
Ruki looked confused before standing on top of his partner's back, and smacking his foot to the wall-
*FIRE, FIRE, FIRE, FIRE, FIRE!*
"Give him back, gah!" The three children smiled as the sprinklers went off and the Hudiemon collapsed as the wings she had were too heavy to use from the water they absorbed, Ruki being the less knowledgeable of the two didn't understand how it works. But didn't say anything until they rushed into a classroom and hid behind the teachers desk!
The group all stayed silent as their enemy seemed to pass by, after another few moments the five of them took a deep breath. "Too close…" Naruto sighed out his relief
"I'll say…" Non agreed with him.
"Okay, what just happened?" Ruki asked with confusion, she looked at the two Digimon before the two kids with their unique devices. "I came because I thought those really were real… until I saw that… thing fondling Naruto." She said pointing her thumb to the young man. "So again, what happened?"
"Do you want the long or short version of it?" Naruto retorted. "Wait, don't answer that."
"Actually I think I know the reason." Ryudamon said, shocking the new girl at his voice, "I believe she is after Naruto for power."
"Power?" Norn echoed her partner's words as Ruki also gave an eyebrow to explain his meaning.
"What would she want me?" Naruto furrowed his brows.
The armored Digimon spoke softly, "Naruto and Ruki are strong individuals given from the card game yesterday, Lady Norn told me about a sudden exploding appliance. I believe she was watching and felt Naruto was her destined partner to make her evolve."
"Destined partner? Her?" Naruto had the gall to look incredulous from the notion. It almost sounded outright preposterous to even think of such a thing.
Ruki scoffed at the idea, "Even if I would like to believe that, why not me?" She said as DORUmon was the one next to speaking.
"The fight! She must have-"
"Saw his fighting potential." Norn finished that thought, "His fight with Mary must have shown her that Naruto had excellent skills on combat and decision making. Not choosing Ruki as she thought one with real combat prowess would be a better partner."
The girl only clicked her tongue, not wanting to agree with Naruto being better at her… but still didn't talk him down at real skills he saw in the match. Nonetheless she nodded to the following female explanation, "How'd you make her stop flying?"
Norn smiled as she pointed to her back, "Bugs like Bees, and Butterflies can't fly when their wings are wet. Taking into account the Digimon style of wing, I assume it would happen to her too." She did a lot of testing one spraying water on bugs that were near her mother's flower garden.
It was a dark habit for the young girl, often not realizing her innocently cruel ways of harming insects for the sake of research… that is until Naruto found out and convinced her the harder route of using other ways to reach the same conclusions.
"Lady Norn, do you have a way to beat her?" Ryudamon asked as the girl closed her eyes… as all the beings leaned close.
"Nope~"
CRASH~!
"Seriously?!" Ruki shouted at the dumb trope that she even got caught in.
Norn shrugged her shoulders, "Alright, time for a little science, just because she has similar traits to bugs doesn't mean that she has all the weaknesses of them. Apes and humans, dogs and wolves, apples and oranges. Same but different, some can be affected by other stuff while it doesn't do anything to the other half. Better to be safe than accidentally get the whole school covered in bug juice. We have sickness and deaths in just a few weeks."
Ruki eyes blink at the explanation...smartest girl in the country. That's what she heard on the line for the tickets for the match earlier that day. Norn Mikihara, the school's super genius that practically is destined to change the world. At least now she understood some things about this girl...
"So what's the plan?" Naruto questioned his best friend, who gave some thought.
Norn looked outside before looking at Naruto, "We have to kill her."

"Whoa what?!/I like it." Naruto and Ruki's thoughts came out as Norn lifted a hand to them.
"I didn't mean it like that, I suggest defeating her enough to scare her away. Worst case scenario it will at least make her go away for long periods of time for a more permanent solution." Norn declared taking a small notepad and writing up some notes and drawing a small diagram. "Okay, here's what we're gonna do."
Naruto got the two Digimon to stand up on nearby boxes that the classroom thankfully had to watch what she wrote. "So far, the Digivice-"
"Digi-what?" Ruki asked as Norn took out her former card scanner.
"Digimon, Device?" Norn said shaking the device before it glowed showing the said device. "I'm coining the term, Digivice."
"Oh." Ruki blinked.
"Anyways, the Digivice said she is a champion, which means we can beat her with rookies." She declared, "The card game has shown that we can beat them if we-"
Ruki sighed, "Yeah, in the game brainiac. This is real life."
"Let's hear her out, unless you want another go with the fire extinguisher against the bug lady?" Naruto offered as he remembered it only made the woman more pissed at Ruki than any harm. The girl relented given her crossing arms, indicating her fellow female to continue on.
"As I was saying." Norn cleared her throat. "The Digivice said she is a champion, which means we can beat her with rookies. The card game has shown that we can beat them."
"Yeah, but the game allowed us to modify them or evolve them." Naruto declared as he looked at the two Digimon who looked at him, "Can you two Digivolve?"
"I haven't tried it before." Rudamon shook his head.
DORUmon looked confused, "Don't know what that is."
"You're kidding me, right?" Naruto deadpanned at the confused Digimon.
"No, I really don't have a clue." DORUmon shook his head.
Naruto sighed, yeah… yeah they were looking pretty screwed at this point. "Okay, so then-"
*CRASH~!*
The group all yelped when they saw the bug lady, Hudiemon, crashing through the door. "There you are my tamer!"
"Crap! She found us already?!" Ruki panicked, herface now slightly alarmed at the monster.
"Okay so bigger wings doesn't necessarily mean longer dry time for Digimon… good to uh… know." Norn declared despite being overwhelmed with fear, she was able to enjoy some happiness in new information.
Naruto stood by with DORUmon next to him, "The second she tries something, blast her with the metal thingy again." He whispered hoping his partner can at least get the two girls a running start.
"You got it,"
"Naruto, what are you thinking?" Ruki asked suspiciously, but didn't get her answer as she watched Naruto lift his hands up.
Walking towards the Digimon he spoke, "Look I'll surrender, leave them be… including the Digimon. They're rookies, hardly your time."
The being smiled at him, "Of course, my tamer...although I have to admit I don't approve of such riff raff as your allies." She declared with a small smile, as her wings glowed and Naruto's body started to sway from the loss of feeling.
"W-Wait, what's happening?!" Ruki stuttered.
"Metal Cannon!" DORUmon shouted… but stopped when the woman grabbed a hold of Naruto before he could take his attack out on her.
Norn's eyes became enraged at the sight, "She never intended to listen to his request… only enough time to dope him with that powder again."
"Come, my tamer." Hudiemon smiled as he started flying away,
"Get back here!" Ruki shouted, as she attempted to go after her, she didn't want that monster to get a win over her,
"Lady Ruki, it is ill-advised of you to pursue her!" Ryudamon protested, trying to pull on her leg which only unfasten her deck box on her belt.
Ruki glared at the creature as the mess was now something to add on… top? She looked at the card and noticed Norn's digivice that was still out… an idea form. She looked through her cards and smiled, "Hey swipe with this card!"
"H-Huh?"
"Just do it! Hurry!" Ruki urged the other girl, practically pushing the card at her. "Don't think! Just swipe the card!"
The young girl fumbled with the card and her device, and it soon hit her! If it came from her card scanner… then it could. She closed her eyes before taking a moment to look serious, using her fingertips the device spun before she flipped in the air. Using the gravity to her advantage, she pulled the card into the opposite direction of the falling digivice. "Digimodify! Hyper Wings, activate!"
Ryudamon's body glowed as ethereal white energy wangs came from out of his back, the Digimon looked back in shock, "Incredible!" One look at his lady's eyes told him what needed to be done… get Naruto back only. "I understand." He nodded, before flapping his newly found wings and sped off, causing some of the desks to fall over.
"Whoa! Talk about a back draft!" Ruki said offhandedly, smiling at her idea that actually worked. She passed more cards to Norn, "You might need these, better to strike Hudiemon when we can-"
"I can't…" Norn said as Ruki gave a confused look, looking down she spoke again, "I don't believe in fighting."
The girl in front of her scoffed at that, "Great, a genius wimp… at least Naruto can take a punch and throw one. Whatever, if he gets hurt then it's on you for protecting that instead of him. Just saying." Norn glared back at Ruki for that harsh idea in her head now. Nonetheless she returned the cards… despite her suggestion, it was up to Naruto to beat Hudiemon and now felt her mistake on relying on him to do what needed to be done.
"Out of the way!" Ryudamon shouted, entering the classroom with Naruto on his back, crashing into the room as Norn helped Naruto and her partner up. Looking around she smiled, "Ruki, get the box that's underneath the sink!" She said reaching a small vial that was on the teachers desk. "I just remember which teacher this class belongs to."
"Who would that be?" Ruki questioned the other girl, passing her the box as Hudiemon once again squared off with them.
"Shizune-sensei, Advanced Science!" She said, throwing the box on the floor as small white flakes scattered around the floating feet of the woman. "This is going to be a real gas…" she joked, while throwing the vial as White smoke started to fill the room. Footsteps were heard when the whole room was covered by it as Hudiemon chased towards them…

That is if they have left, "Idiot thought we left when I just threw our shoes to make it sound like we were." Norn giggled, clearly exhilarated at this fun day of new experiments. But the other teens were breathing heavy as the smoke was still around them. "Oh don't worry, it's harmless smoke."
The two release their breathes as did the two Digimon as Norn gave a slight bow to Rika, thankful for the smart idea. "Ruki you look smarter than I gave credit for." The orange haired teen frowned at that underhanded insult, but didn't say anything before Norn pointed to her deck box and scattered cards. "I know it's a bit hard to ask but...can we use them?"
"Take them if it means we survive.," she declared no way going to jeopardize her chance of getting out alive, if it means her rare cards and perfect structure deck means they leave. Then she will allow it...that and it would mean that she would get the win by technicality therefore she beat the Digimon enemy.
What? She was competitive!
After getting the permission the three look over Rika's deck, Naruto himself was impressed with her line up. It was definitely for a quick and heavy assault, not one card wasn't anything weak. Even Rookies and support cards were for quick Digivolving, power increase, and multiple attacks.
"Nice/Terrible." Naruto and Norn said as the two sighed, and per usual their taste in strategies were often opposite in gameplay. Wild and unpredictable, calm and analytical they were always their usual ways to operate. Norn picked up the cards useful for her idea. "With these we can work on beating her. Naruto...Ruki...please listen as I know you two the most to start and end this battle."
She looked at the two Digimon and leaned forward, "And you two...I can't give order so Ryudamon please listen to Naruto's orders for attack and Dorumon go wild when he says so. Okay you two?" An energetic nod from the purple furred dinosaur, while the armored reptile only gave a hesitant nod.
"Here's the plan,"

Naruto was standing at the school lockers for their shoes, taking a moment to look down and pray that this plan work or else...well he can't really know considering the Digimon drugs him so can't remember...so pretty bad if has to make a hazardous guess.
"Over here!" Naruto looked at the entrance to see Ruki running towards the lockers gasping for breath, no doubt running for a long period of time to capture the attention of Hudiemon who was chasing after her. "Don't screw this up!" She warned Naruto before making a sharp turn to show the champion level Digimon to see Naruto, and dashed forward.
"Alright Naruto," Norn's voice was heard over the intercom, "Try out the newest trend for the upcoming year."
Naruto smiled as he leaned forward and dashed, skating on a pair of skates that Norn and tech geniuses were making. Air Trecks, motorized high tech skates, the prototype being used for this plan. Norn was definitely getting the best day in her life for all these tests. Almost gliding the teen had no trouble keeping a steady distance, "These things are awesome~" The young man laughed crazily on how insanely fast these skates were!
"Come back!" Hudiemon demanded as Naruto jumped over a window to ride on the school's courtyard, "You're the only one worthy of me!" Increasing her own speed was slowly cutting the distance between them, Naruto lowered his body in hopes to increase his speed. He also made sure to keep close to the school building for their plan.
"Naruto, almost there, you know the drill?" Norn declared her voice echoed as Naruto shouted out.
"Wall ride!"
With that said Naruto turned to the wall closest to him and leaped to it...only to continue to ride on the wall! Once again naruto shouted his joy, "Whoo! I'm keeping-" Naruto eyes widened and paled when his leg slipped! "Craaaa~p!" He yelled as he started to fall, looking behind himself and saw Hudiemon flying up to catch him...and the way she was smiling made Naruto consider being a splatter pattern on the floor.
"Your mine!" The Bug champion spread her arms to capture her new tamer, but her eyes widened as Naruto took out from hismjacket an odd device she never seen before while the other hand had a card!
Naruto quickly swiped it as he spoke, "Digi-Modified! Strength Plug-in W! DORUmon, fire!" Hudiemon's eyes widened as she saw from the ground underneath them, as two rookie Digimon, the purple one now glowering a fiery red aura!
"Metal Dash!" The immature Digimon yelled dashing towards Ryudamon blasting an even larger metal sphere at his friend! While the man seemed to stand there and wait for it, this made the champion smirk darkly.
"Fools don't have the nerve to fight me and take their own lives." She muttered to look surprised at Ryudamon!
"Digi-Modified! Defense Plug-in G!" Norn's voice echoed across the school as the Digimon partner she had now glowed a green aura!
"Now Ryudamon!" Naruto shouted as he took the confused Hudiemon and stepped on her head to leap towards a window, where he clung on to the edge of an open one. He looked down as the armored Digimon took a solid stance and braced its arms to the attack, "Kabutogaeshi!" It's armor took in the green aura, suddenly shined brilliantly as it caught the metal sphere. As the ground tore from the sheer power of the attack, but in a span of a few moments Ryudamon twisted its body to flung the attack to Bug Champion who stayed in the air in shock. Only to regret it as the attack went through her!
"I lost to a bunch of rookies? Gah...Gahhhhhhh!" A screeching, blood curdling scream came out from the Digimon while she shattered into motes of light as DORUmon and Ryudamon stood in silence while collecting the lights into their bodies. Absorbing it as both become more powerful while DORUmon childish eyes slightly become less innocent and more determined.
However Naruto lost his grip with one of his arms on the edge of the window, "Ok...not good…" he announced as the young man was starting to get worried on returning to the idea of being a splat on the ground.
"Got you/Hold on!" The two girls said, pulling up Naruto into the room as they all fell on top of each other.
Ruki sighed softly, finally taking a moment to let the whole crazy situation pass, "Alright… crazy bug woman taken care of," she trailed off to see Norn and Naruto giving a sorrowful look to the shattered remains of Norn's invention. The kick Naruto did on Hudiemon seems to completely destroy the wheels of the skate.
Ruki didn't say anything knowing the girl beside her let out a choke sound, like she couldn't believe that her work just up and died on her on its first run. She just allowed the two to grieve over their...well it was a pretty cool piece of machinery.
"I didn't get to truly test it~!" Norn for the rarest of her times in her life, cried out waterfall tears at such a prize to slip by her fingers!

NORN'S HOME

The three all were at Norn's house, mostly due to them convincing Ruki that it was on the way to her home and they were going to buy food. Norn smiled as she placed down a large silver catering box of chicken and vegetables for their Digimon, as Ruki and Naruto were waiting for her to return.
"Thanks, you two. I don't know what would've happened if that bug lady really got away with me." Naruto sighed in relief, a hand over his chest.
Ruki nodded as she ate some of her pot stickers from the chinese restaurant they went to, they got a discount from a friend apparently, "You better, I can't believe I risk myself for that." She sighed at the unreasonableness when she should've walked away. "Anyway…" She looked at the two unknown Digimon she saw mauling the meal they were given. "So two blue cards allow you to make your Card Scanners into… Digivices, and then find these guys in the living room last night?"
The young man nodded as Norn was too busy sorting out her three differently cooked potstickers as Naruto told her the reason they had DORUmon and Ryudamon. "Yeah, more or less." He shrugged, chuckling when the two started to fight for the last leg by tugging the bone ends of it.
"Do you still have one of them?" Ruki asked as the two teens looked at each other, "I mean you two did drop them when the Card Scanners were going crazy right?"

"Oh shit/Miscalculated!" The two kids attending the best school in the nation, left their food and dive into Mikihara's couch in an attempt to find it, "WHERE IS IT~!?" Amused at the sight Ruki moved her chopsticks to Norn's-
"No touching on my stuff!" Norn pouted with a bunch of white fluff from the couch on top of her head, Naruto also popped up from her with more white fluff to the point it covered his whole head.
"I swear that's like a super power, you always know when someone takes your food." He said before diving back into the couch.
"Super power? I heard that people can awaken to more than ten percent- wah~!" She squeaked when Naruto's hand grabved the front of her dress and pulled her down.

Ruki looked and once again- "I SEE YOU!" and went back to eating her own food, Naruto was right. It was like a superpower… she wasn't going to stay longer than she had to. The tomboy wasn't going to try to befriend them, Naruto was a bit okay despite his childish attitude considering he is a good tamer in the card game. While that girl, Norn, was just plain weird the way she seemed to have her head in the cloud seemed odd even for a super genius.
"Haha! A dinner and a show!" DORUmon laughed at the exchange going on, as he kept eating his food. Ryudamon raised an eyebrow, if he could that is, as usual DORUmon would join them then watch. Odd to see the usually immature Digimon to ignore a fun moment to play in.
"I have to admit, it's… mildly entertaining." Ryudamon added as the two Digimon kept watching.
"Found it!" Norn said as she held a single blue card, after replacing the stuffing into the couch she walked to the table and passed it to Ruki.
Naruto popped out of the couch and shook off all the fluff that was on his person, like a dog. "Okay, thought I was gonna suffocate in there."
"Pfft…" The two girls stifled laughter before they noticed each other and stopped it. "Let's eat~!" Norn declared as a young man also joined in after cleaning himself up.
After eating up and cleaning the dishes, the two looked at Ruki who was outside the doorstep, "You sure, you don't want us to call a cab? We got the school to fund it." Norn said as Ruki sweatdrop at that offer.
"As much as I want to see why a school would bend over that much for students, no thanks. I know how to get home from here and can be just fine on my own." She declared giving a stern look to Norn who returned it, not liking the tomboy's hostile mood. "Still, I will say thanks for this." She said holding the blue Digimon card, giving a cool smirk at them. "Next time, we'll see who has the better Digimon… see ya."
Norn took a breath… before looking at Naruto beside her, "I don't like her… she's mean~" She pouted at the rudeness of the orange haired girl.
"She's not that bad." Naruto looked at her with a raised eyebrow.
Norn shrugged but looked at Naruto, "Hey… umm, let's be careful I don't know why… but I feel like this isn't over." She said as Naruto patted her head, erasing most of her fears, pulling back to the house to rest up from the horrible event.
But watching from a distance, were two females watching from above the sky, "Ahuhuhuhu, it seems that our dear sister lost her chance at such a strong Tamer." A whimsical laugh came from this girl. Her hair was blonde and her turquoise eyes glowed as her pupils were slit. She wore a red witch's hat and accompanying her attire was a red sleeveless one piece dress with black boots that had stilettos and red arm warmers that were oversized. She wore a black cape with a red eyeball brooch as she sat on her broom. To make the last bit just odd was her creepy smile that had rows of sharp pointy teeth fit for a monster.
"Tah~! She was always going on about beauty and justice, but what she needed was power!" Said the other female who pounded her fist together, her rough and tough tone matching her body perfectly. She had wild spiky green hair and a golden helmet that resembled a dragon's head, the jawline of the helmet framing her face. She had little to no clothing as it only covered her chest and between legs, something akin to that of an Amazoness. She had skull shoulder armor, bone gauntlets and greaves that were of the same color and she wore a red cape to finish off her look.
"Alright…" The golden helmet wearer said, smashing her fist together, "This time I won't lose~! Let's see who gets the next shot for the cutie?"
The red clad woman smirked as she covered her face with her hand, "Ooh? Don't cry if you do~"

AK: Make no mistake, RUKI/RIKA is not going to be friends with Naruto and Norn like *Snap* that. She is only tolerating them to a big extreme due to Naruto being a good rival for her and Norn because she likes to rattle her. By no means she is going them before canon, maybe to say hey or ask for info knowing Naruto is too trusting.
Also I made new poll for five new stories to see which would be updated first. Please vote to see which ones go first.
This is going to have few chapters before the events of Canon start as Naruto and Norn have to deal with two more threats and to figure some things. Until then please review for a more quicker chapter to be release.
