CHAPTER START~!
My name is Norn… Mikihara.
My first memory was waking up to see two adults, later to be told that they were my parents. I have been in a coma for a long time, since I was a baby. They say it was a miracle I awoke, but I didn't understand why they were happy. My parents hugged me tightly.
However I was different from my classmates, when they tried to make me read and get used to the years of education I missed in my coma. It was not needed as I excel in that area, no one knew why except for a theory a doctor deduced. Being so empty minded I was able to absorb information at a higher rate than most kids, I found that ludacris but had no real reason to argue. But yes I was almost called a genius, when I went to school… I hated it so much.
They all teased me for being weird looking, my ruby colored eyes, my short snow colored hair, my western looks. But the teachers silenced them when they said I finished school work that was months ahead. They all brag about me being in their class, ignoring the fact I wanted to be normal and put me on a pedestal so the other students can aspire too. They teased me more…
I wanted to leave so I finished everything so I had no real reason to go to school anymore. I was happy when the school called and asked me to find another place to learn.
But nowhere was okay for me… I was mocked by peers my own age and loved by the teachers. I do so well that the media wanted to find me and ask if I like the school. I had to because I didn't want to seem ungrateful but at the same time, didn't want to lie. I talked about the teachers' abilities and the curriculum in extension but again that same question: 'But do you like it?'
How can I?
I don't know what it's like… ever since waking up, I don't know how to convey my emotions, only to my mamma and daddy. Even then it's hard for me to explain how I feel. I eat food but it tastes odd, not sure how to feel, I play games but don't seem to enjoy it, I excel at school but cannot feel proud. I felt… like a robot. It scared me deeply that I felt I wasn't even alive… until he met me.
Inoden, it's a series of schools all cram into one giant place. An escalator school that was rare, being one from primary all to the way to high school. But I was happy as it was school for geniuses like me, it was less teasing but no one connected to me. I wonder if I will ever have a friend… until that day.
I was alone at the shoe lockers when the rain poured in, everyone left me behind but I heard someone walk up. It was the school's exchange student from Kyoto, Uzumaki Naruto. He smiled at me as he took out his umbrella and offered to walk me home.
My friend… my best friend…

"Mmh…" Norn sighed as she and Naruto rode the monorail to head to their location. "I am happy to visit a nice dessert shop but I am not really happy staying here." She muttered before comically turning blue, "Because the fact we're moving insanely fast is making me nervous on the possibility of crashing. Almost instant death but with so many variables…"
Naruto just blinked owlishly at the sight of a worried Norn. Normally she never worried over herself for being so odd or concerned with things she doesn't know. But seeing her being afraid of being on a train, most of the rides are safe, "It's ok, it's just five minutes."
"Are you sure? Just five minutes?" Norn asked with concern, as she looked up with a worried look.
He couldn't help but give a soft smile. She would have no doubt done the math in her head, but the fear just made her not do it. "Yeah, just five minutes. The trains are pretty fast and are always on time."
"O-Okay…" She whispered softly, "Three minutes to go…"
"Norn, relax. It's okay. You don't have to overthink it." Naruto chuckled mirthfully. "Ah I know, what's the theory of Maxwell's Demon or Schrödinger's cat?"
The girl nodded slowly, taking her time to tell her friend about the thought experiment, as she was about to finish on the cat theory when their train stopped, making her rush straight to the door with Naruto following suit. "I really don't like staying in them for any length of time."
Naruto patted her back comfortingly, "It's over," He soothingly said as the girl walked forward with her friend who shakily went to the station they were in. "Where is… ah follow me!"
Norn eyes widen as they walk to see they were in, "Yokohama? Why here?" She mutters looking around the area in confusion, "Besides the cup ramen museums there's no reason to come here." She said as she already knew one place she wanted to visit with Naruto as they both enjoy that food.
However Naruto only pulled on her arm to gently lead her to the streets as they passed by others and reached a particular building called 'Aurora'. "Is this a bar?" Norn said with slight hesitation while clutching to her friend's arm.
Placing a hand on her shoulder he shook his head as he opened the door to show other people in, all older but some are younger too. Walking in they smiled as they saw Naruto before doing what they were previously attended… which is-
"Digimon?" Norn said watching people play as she saw incredible strategies and new ways of playing when they passed by to take their own seats. The chairs were leather covered booths that had a calming scent like lavender in her, soon a young waitress walked to them. Norn looked up to see she had blue hair and ruby colored lipstick on her lips, wearing awhite button shirt and black vest with black pants. "I am Guren," she started placing two cups of water. "As usual, welcome to Aurora, Naruto-kun." The older woman said in fondness of the blonde. "Shall I get some pocky and fruits for your time here?"
"Yeah and bring a menu, I wanna buy stuff for Norn." He said pointing to the white haired girl as Guren smirked.
"Ohoho? So this is the famous Norn?" She muttered before looking at the bar and mouthing something. "Take your time and please order anything. It's on the house."
Naruto smiled as he pulled out his deck and Norn's, "This place is where I used to play a lot of Digimon before moving here, this place is one of my Godfather's side businesses." He started as Guren and another woman with blue hair came to drop off snacks from candys to bake goods. "It's where top tier players can have a nice atmosphere to play and have a good meal as well."
"Seems a bit niche for a business," She said but went on to grab a strawberry cream pocky box. "But I would like to play-"
"Excuse us."
The two teens turn to see middle schoolers looking at them, "Mind if we play a tag team match? We grew bored playing singles." She said making her hands do a mock prayer gesture. "Please~?"
Naruto turned to Norn who nodded as she never had a chance to play like this, moving towards Naruto's side, so the two girls could also be on their side. "So how do we do this?" The genius asked Naruto and the girls who also took their own snacks, with permission from the younger two kids.
Naruto passed her deck as Norn and he quickly shuffled their decks, "Same rules as the standard you and I place five cards one by one for a total of ten security cards." He said as the girl nodded, placing her five on top of Naruto while the girls before them did the same. "Then we play as normally, the first player would end his turn and the other player would start, after they end their turn it would be my partner, aka you, to play and vice versa for her friend."
Norn nodded as they sent their play mats and decks ready, "I'll go first~" She said in a rare moment to show interest in others. "Digi-Tama hatch, Demimeramon!" She said flipping it up as she showed the group her card, "Then digi-evolving him to Huckmon-"

Naruto sighed as he and Norn were on the losing side as their opponents had their field, and their opponent entered her battle phase. "Mastemon attacks!" She declared as Naruto turned to Norn who agreed, swiping a card on her side.
"RagnaLoardmon blocks it!" She said before swiping it upright again, "Its inheritance skill, Reboot, allows it to stand back up!"
The older girl smirks, "Then Chaosmon attacks directly again!" Norn frowned at this time she had to block it but with both of them with the same Digi-Power level it would mean but would be sent to discard pile.
"Okay I attack your last security card with Beelstarmon!" The girl said using her last card to attack and at least get them to lose next turn-
"Mugendramon blocks it!" Naruto said using his own card as he smirked at the girl's look of shock as they had no more attacks to use and allowed Naruto to start his turn. "Skipping to Battle Phase, using Norn's Wargreymon to attack and since you have no blockers." They nod and turn over their security check and frown when it was nothing but a rookie card, "Omnimon Zwart Defeat is going to wrap this up!" He said as the last attack went through and the girls lost, they slump on their seats from the match not going their way.
"Great game!" Norn said enthusiastically from the start that it was great that she and Naruto were not only good friends but played against each other numerous times to let each other know their styles of playing. As she was about to shuffle her deck Naruto pulled her up as he pointed at the clock, "We need to go, otherwise we miss what I have planned!"
She seemed saddened by this, but nodded before looking back at the girls she faced and Guren who was waving them goodbye, "Uhh, good bye everyone! I hope we can play together again soon!" She smiled as the other patrons all chuckled and enjoyed that young girl's presence… all for one, a red dress woman who was currently stabbing her fork into a cake menacingly.
"At least I can strike her where there aren't too many people." She whispered as she followed them quietly.

"Never again…" Norn whispered at the moment they were able to leave the train. Clutching on to her friend's arm just as before, but closed her eyes to make sure to never see a dangerous vehicle again. "I rather be stuck in a room full of bullies than stay in that possible death trap."
Naruto chuckled weakly at the declaration as he pulled her to where they had a car waiting for them, "Just hold on, and wear this…" he said, pulling a blindfold to which she stared at it confusingly. "Promise, you will love it."
The girl took it with some slight hesitation, "O-Ok, hope it's not too long." She said as the girl easily tied it without any problem. "M-My hold your hand- ah!" She blushed hard when she felt Naruto hand grasp hers.
"Alright, prepare to be wow'ed!" He said as he took her to the car ignoring her stuttering and red face.

"Careful Norn, ok now bend your knees because you're going to sit on your rear." The superhuman fighter of his school declared as he helped her set down, "Ok take off your blindfold."
The girl slowly undoed the complicated knot she made and saw something that stole her breath away. It was the most lovely park she had seen looking around; it was something she saw in books and magazines. She saw a clear reflective lake showing the sight of the park, Shinjuku Gyu-en. She looked around and saw they were on a large blanket that had an odd symbol she had seen like a spiky cross but the bottom was the top of a heart that was upside down… well she could have gone with butt it seems… unflatteringly in any way to use in a sentence.
Behind them and also above them was a tree that had pretty Sakura blossoms around them, as if on cue a gentle breeze went by and made the petals dance around them. Then her ears picked up, almost wiggling in a cute manner, at the strumming of a sitar and saw Naruto playing one in front of her. "Y-You did this for me, at the same time you learned my nightmare and we ate breakfast where we left?" She was astonished at the planning he did.
Naruto stopped playing for a moment to smirk at her, "I was planning a giant going away prank the second I left for the train in my hometown… and that was nine minutes." He announced as he knew if the young man returned to that place, the teachers were going to tan his hide. "But seriously it's nothing too bad." Naruto assured as he told the headmaster at their school to set this up in advance. "Also here…" He said taking out a small basket as the girl smiled at the thought of more food.
"Here," He said, taking out some herbal tea from a thermos inside and taking out a small amount of sandwiches for her. "Let's enjoy the scenery, annnd~" playing with the word he also took out a couple sketch pads he smiled, "We can also try our hand in capturing it."
The girl only smiled at the offer, as she can easily copy anything she saw and draw perfectly. "Let's~!" She said with a lovely smile that made the beautiful landscape around them seem dull to her dazzling features.

"Done." Naruto said as Norn was sticking a toothpick into a cocoa dusted truffle, "Not bad," He said almost doing a decent job of tracing the lake and fields. He saw Norn's and it left him breathless, it was different from her usual copies. As it wasn't the field… but it was him, smiling with his own sketch pad almost like he was in that sheet of paper.
"Norn… you…" Naruto said with wide eyes. "That looks… really good."
The girl blushed when she heard that and covered her face with her hands, "I… I had a good picture to work on…" She shyly whispered as the girl fought down her burning cheeks to fade away. "I… Naruto, thank you!" She shouted with a serious look on her face. "You gave me a great, not the best day of my life!"
Naruto's eyes widened before chuckling, "Haha, I heard you, but mind taking it down a notch? I'm right in front of you."
"Awawa…" She mumbled as the white haired girl indeed was a bit too loud, but still held on, "Naruto, you really made my first nightmare into a wonderful day. You always were there for me helping feel better whenever I feel down or confused about something… Naruto, you inspire me-"
"GET DOWN!" Naruto tackled Norn as she saw the sky… until she saw a brown stick that would have bashed her skull in if Naruto didn't protect her.
"What?" She said as Naruto and her moved away to see a woman in red.
She wore a red dress with DigiCode, a black cape, and a red, pointy hat greatly associated with witches. She had fair skin, short blonde hair, and light blue eyes with vertical black marks around her eyes, and also has large hands, a black cat tattoo on her left arm, and wears red lipstick as makeup, red elbow gloves with two golden blades on the back of the hands, and black boots. Her cape has a red eye in the collar, and its dress has multiple zippers on it. She also wears two black belts on her belly, and two black belts on her legs and she rides the "Blue Comet" broomstick and has a black cat familiar spirit.
"Who is-?!" Naruto started as he heard both his and Norn's Digivices loudly alarm them, taking it out they saw a photo of the woman. "Witchmon," Naruto read the name.
"It's a little cruel, it has great pride, and it despises customs and rules. Its Special Moves are a sharp wind carrying magical power (Baluluna Gale), and the extremely high water pressure of its "Aquary Pressure", enough to penetrate steel." Norn finished off the additional information they received from it. "And its Champion." She mutters just like Hudiemon, another Digimon who attacked them.
"Get away from my Tamer, he's mine."
And… of course it's after her friend. In a bitter tone she spoke, "He isn't yours!" She shouted as Witchmon crackled.
"Oh please and he's yours?" She said, sliding her hands down her womanly hips, "My tamer deserves better."
"Dude, I'm thirteen!" He shouted as the female Digimon let out a small laugh.
"And you're a guy right?" She said, cocking her hips as Naruto and Norn blushed at the lovely display.
…
"She has a point." Naruto muttered as Norn hated to agree but that hip was mesmerizing. "But you're wrong about one thing," he started as the young man started…before grabbing Norn and dashing. "I have a partner, Now DORUmon!"
The Witch turned around to see a metal silver sphere heading towards her, "Aww shi-" she was about to say until the red dress woman pulled out her broom and stopped the sphere from seriously damaging her. Only to sign when the attack stops and falls to the ground, "Where…dammit!" She shouted looking at Naruto, "Unlike my sister Hudiemon, you don't have many places to go."
"Norn!" He said tossing the girl to the sky as Witchmon noticed the girl swiping a card into her Digivice.
"Digimodify! White Wings!" She shouted as in a few seconds after using it Ryudamon came to grab her. "How did you two-"
The Armored Digimon didn't say anything until reaching the ground, "Naruto-dono told me to bring DORUmon to greet you," he said as Norn looked again shocked at her friend's kindness.
"Tamer, join me! We will be unstoppable!" Witchmon said walking towards Naruto ever so closer as he was slowly backing up from her. He leapt to his side as DORUmon jumped straight from the water to sneak attack- only for Witchmon to easily grab its nose and force it to the ground, "You see!? Rookies, nothing like me!" She started easily tossing the purple Digimon to the side as Naruto rushed to his partner's side. "Just give it up, you know it's true." The lady in red said kindly with a smile to match her words surprisingly.
Witchmon stood near them, "You have a weak partner and a so-called comrade who won't raise her fists to help." She was about to grab Naruto make him hers…that is until-
"YOU'RE WRONG!" Norn shouted, "I don't like fighting but I will help him!" She said as a wind started to blow around her, her eyes gain red shine then almost fired around around them. "He's not strong because he can fight… he's strong because he's there for others. Even trying to be friends with loners like Ruka!" She cried out as her body started to shine. "He showed me inspiration, fun, kindness, and friendship!" Soon Naruto saw his Digivice also glowed red as a black 'X' appeared on the screen, Norn gently smiled as she said the last thing she needed to say. "He gives me…Hope…"
"I feel strange!" DORUmon said it's eyes wide open as Naruto Digivice rings once more.
X-Evolution Unleashed!
"DORUmon Digivolve to-" The purple fur Digimon shouted as a red cocoon of '1's' and '0's' appeared, blocking its body from others. As soon as it came out it burst open to show a new creature standing there! Naruto saw a beast-like Digimon with black fur and purple lightning-like stripes on most of its body. It has two large legs and two arms, each of which has three long, red claws, as well as a large, saurian tail. The fur around the base of its neck, on its chest, paws, snout, on the inside of its wings, and the end of its tail is white. It has two pointed ears with purple tips and two large wings. On its brow is a triangular red gem. "DORUgamon!" It shouted as Witchmon gasped.
"It's… an X-Antibody?!" She shouted in fear, "But I thought they were extinct!" She turned to see Norn and glared at her as if he wished to be with Naruto and vanished because of that little girl! "YOU! You are so dead- Gah!"
"Not on my watch bitch witch!" DORUgamon shouted as it head butted the woman who rolled on the ground from the heavy attack. "Whoa, I didn't mean to hit her that hard." It said as Naruto chuckled at the power up his partner made.
"That's it, killing you and absorbing that data! With that X factor I can be strong enough for my Tamer!" Witchmon shouted as she brought her broom into her hands, doing a heavy sweeping motion, "Baluluna Gale!" From the tip of her broom came out a heavy and actual seeable ripping wind heading towards his partner.
"DORUgamon!" Naruto shouted.
"I got it!" He said with a smirk standing its ground as the wind collided with its body!
"Yes, now to-" she started but quickly stopped when seeing her attack barely did anything to it. "You gotta be kidding me, it's like he skipped Champion and went straight to Ultimate!" She said with fear but shook her head, "I won't give him up… he's mine!" She said rushing towards Naruto only to dodge another bite from the recently evolved Digimon! "Tch, can't reach him like this."
"Why are you so obsessed with me?" Naruto asked, feeling a little creeped out and disturbed.
The woman smiled gently, "It's just like that girlie said… you're so kind… and I want it too. Even if it means hurting others!" She shouted lifting her arm at Norn, "And without her, you'll be back to a rookie!"
"Witchmon don't!" Naruto begged as Norn looked shocked at Digimon's crazy idea!
"And why shouldn't I?" She said in a manic smile, her face becoming evil and no longer beautiful. "She's in the way~, Aquary Pressure!"
"Are you so desperate that you would lower yourself to being that petty out of jealousy?!" Ryudamon shouted only for it to stand in front of its Tamer to at least attempt to block it.
Naruto only stared at Witchmon in sadness as he spoke softly, "DORUgamon… do it." He whispered as the Champion Digimon nodded, "Digimodify, Clockmon's Hour Hand!"
"W-What… noooo…" She said trying to finish her attack only to slow down as if her body was unable to keep up with everyone else.
DORUgamon's body gained a red aura as it took the power into its body, before opening its jaw wide open, "Power Metal!" To show Witchmon a gigantic metal sphere nearly double her size…
"So he chose them…" She whispered watching Naruto look at her with a sad face, as her impending doom was inevitable. Even at the last second… she smiled as if she got what she wanted, her tamer at looking at her rather than that brat. "Thank y-" Crash! Was the horrifying sound of her upper body breaking into code as it and the rest of her remains all turned into red motes of energy.
"Taking it in!" DORUgamon said as he gained a blue aura as the energy flowed into him, "Forgive him Witchmon…" he said softly as if asking for her to understand.
Naruto ran to Norn as she did to him, both kids holding each other as Norn smiled, "You're okay! And…whoa! You got big!" Norn comically shoved Naruto to the side when seeing his partner walk up to her. Her inner genius deletes her good friend protocols. "How did you gain this mass? Ooh! Your dust of fur is softer! Is it like how certain wools can stop a chainsaw tooth, so unruly it can be cut?"
"You…alright?" Ryudamon said as Naruto chuckled at Norn obsession of learning taking over.
"Peachy… but she's totally happy!" He said watching his partner suddenly glowing white and reduce in size as it fell on top of Norn. "Oh no!" Pulling her away, he looked at his partner. "You ok?"
Grumble
"Need… fooood~" DORUmon complained as Norn giggled at the request.
Naruto sighed at this. Unsurprising. He should have expected that all that energy put into digivolving made him hungry.
"Let's go back." She said as the rest looked at her, "We gotta take care of our partners! So let's go!" She said, taking Naruto in her arms, "I'm not going to let you do all the work, so let's go!"
"Norn?!" He said as the girl actually pushed him forward… did she just level up to the point she can gain physical/strength points? But this made him smile, she was moving forward then what she was this morning, he didn't say anything but followed suit with Ryudamon picking up his fellow Digimon in its back.
"Hey…" DORUmon said as Ryudamon looked up.
"Yes?"
The purple fur Digimon spoke, "I think I remember… why we are here…" he said before falling asleep as Ryudamon's eyes widened. If it was true then maybe they can tell their partners too.
Ryudamon only smiled, "Rest up friend… you deserve it." He chuckled and carefully made sure not to wake up his companion.

"So both sisters of mine failed to capture his heart…" the golden skull Digimon said from above the sky, "It only makes sense… they were mistakes."
She flexed one arm, "Hudiemon only cared for aesthetics and beauty," with another arm flexing she shook her head. "And Witchmon only cared for bonds… which is ok but not the real path to win his heart."
The female Digimon grunted as she nodded to herself, "WHAT YOU NEED TO WIN A TAMER/HUSBAND HEART IS, LOVE~❤️" she vowed while making a heart symbol with her hands. "He will be mine!"
AK: Now you see the first Digivolve of Naruto's partner and also a bit of Norn's past~! Hope you all like as there's one more Digimon for the two to face off. What will happen next time?
