Chapter Eight

Lucy was being a tease, they both knew, yet, it was not completely her fault.

As Natsu carried her along the darkened streets towards the forest their home was in, his hands had continued to squeeze her the skin he touched and traced circles along her thighs through her clothes.

Then, if that was not enough to make her ache, he warmed himself to heat her breasts and core, then lowered it to cool them repeatedly. The innocent smile he threw over his shoulder at her did not fool her. War had been declared.

Her position allowed for a better area of attack, one she was very willing to use to her advantage. Hands ran over his pecs and ghosted over hardened nipples. His soft moan encouraged her. Nails scraped over the skin and fingers pinched the nubs.

Absently, she realized he began running through the streets faster, the edge of Magnolia and the woods already upon them. Smiling, she ran her hands up to his neck and grabbed his scarf. They unraveled his scarf carefully and wrapped it around her own neck, relishing in the heat it brought her, before latching onto the revealed skin.

In tandem, her tongue, lips, and teeth worked the skin, leaving marks from his shoulders to his jaw as her fingers moved back to pinched and twisted his nipples playfully. They both knew his ragged breath was not from running all the way to the tree line.

"Luce," the depth of his voice made her legs tighten around his waist, her core rubbing against the heat of his back. "Fuck it!"

In a breath, she found herself pressed against a tree and lips crashed against hers desperately. How he had managed to move her from his back to in front of him without her feet touching the ground did not matter to her. What did matter was the delicious feel of his clothed manhood grinding into her weeping core.

"Natsu, please!" She clawed at his back as his canines bit into the flesh of her neck above his scarf. Her skirt was pushed up and a hand pressed between them. They dipped into the wetness and she felt the smirk against her skin.

"If you are this wet already, I really won't let you sleep tonight," he said with a chuckle. Even with evidence of her need, he only slipped one finger in, testing her tightness. Pulling his head back, he watched her expression; eyes closed, mouth parted, face flushed. No matter what anyone said, he knew his partner was the definition of beauty. A true goddess of the night sky.

He pushed a second finger in and curled them just enough to watch her eyes snap open and her chest swell with her intake of air. Pride brought another grin to his lips. "Tell me, Luce," he leaned forward and licked the shell of her ear. "Do you want me to fuck you here against this tree right now? Or maybe," he adjusted his grip on her thighs, bending down just enough to lift her up and moved them onto his shoulders, "I see how good you are at not screamin'."

"N-Natsu—!" A hand quickly clasped over her mouth as she tried hard not to be loud as his tongue thrust as deep as it could in her core repeatedly. They were not that far from the edge of the forest, which meant the outskirts of Magnolia was close and in hearing distance. The way he lapped at her and brought his fingers up to join was too much, but still not enough.

Her other hand buried itself in his hair, trusting him completely not to drop her. Even though no screams had escaped her yet, the trees echoed her sobs of pleasure. A proper lady would have been mortified of such lewd acts, yet her dragon knew how to toss all those old teachings she had out the window. She felt alive with him, so cherished and loved.

With him, the world held a brilliance and wonder she had been searching for. All the adventures they had together, the low points and high. There was no one else she felt such a bond and trust with. No one would ever be able to hold a candle to him—especially since he would just eat it.

A sob choked her as his tongue rolled her nub between his teeth. His hand increased in speed and curled to rub that spot inside again over and over. Her back arched, a taunt string ready to snap inside of her—a hard suck pulled her clit in with a touch of molten heat and she screamed into her palm as she came. Juices coated his fingers and palm as he worked her through the pleasure.

Once he felt confident he had wrung every last twitch from her, he carefully moved her back down and coaxed her to wrap her legs around his waist again. She moaned against his lips as his now bare phallus pressed against her soaked entrance. Using her juices on his hand and her lower lips to coat himself, he sheathed himself completely inside her, moaning.

"I love you, Luce," he gripped her face with a hand, the other on her thigh and began a needy pace. "I love you."

She returned the sentiment, kissing him deeply and holding him tight as her hips moved to meet his. Each thrust pressed deep inside her, desperate and determined. How she loved these moments.

He pulled back from her lips, his breathing hard letting her know he was close. The first round usually quicker than the rest. Fingers were pressed against her lips, the same that had been inside of her moments earlier. Wordlessly, her tongue darted out to lick the juices left over on them before she sucked them deep into her mouth.

That earned her a deep growl that made her weep in pleasure as he pounded her harder, his speed increasing. Arms pulled him closer, keeping him close. Their breaths mingled in pants, eyes closed in pleasure.

"N-Natsu…I'm—oh!" Her inner muscles clenched unexpectedly when his thumb dragged across her clit and rolled it around. Lips crashed against hers as she came, muffling her pleasured cries and his own grunts as he filled her with his seed.

Hands cupped the others face in their post-orgasm bliss, grasping and pulling, needing the contact even being connect. They shared whispered words of love between gasps and kisses, actions that added fuel to their growing desire to continue their wanton deeds.

"Take me home, Natsu," she whispered softly, rubbing her thumbs over his cheeks.

"Aye, sir." He set her down gently so he could put himself back in his pants, then helped her back onto his back. Once settled and he began back up the path home, she nuzzled her face into his back, inhaling his scent from his scarf that was still wrapped around her neck. From the wetness she felt on her clothes and dripping down her thighs, she knew all he could smell was their combined scent. It would fuel his insatiable need for the next few hours. A need she was more than willing to help fulfill.

"Hey Natsu?"

"Yeah, Luce?"

"I know you have it in your collection…but what would you say to letting me wear my old maid costume again later tonight?" She kissed the back of his neck, his hair tickling her nose.

He let out a groan, his hold tightening on her. "You'll be the death of me, and I mean that in the best way poss—"

Blinding light and pain engulfed them. Muscles tensed and refused to move, cutting off any screams or cries they might have made. Yet, as they struggled to move, they felt their muscles and tendons pull in on themselves. Natsu's fingers dug deep into her thighs, hers into his shoulders. It was only when his nails dug in deep enough to draw blood was she able to cry out in pain.

Everything around her slowed and became weightless. Hair streamed around her. She reached out to grab onto Natsu, but found him out of reach. Somehow, he had gotten so far away from her, but she could not fathom how.

Then, her body made contact with the ground and she collapsed in a pile of twitching limbs that ached. Even her eyelids could not decide if they would stay open or closed. Lungs took in a desperate breath, fingers gripped the dirt and leaves on the path, and a rough series of coughing made her gag and nearly throw up what little she had in her stomach.

"W-what happened…?" She looked into the trees and blinked several times to clear her eyes of the blurriness. Shadows seemed to move behind the trees. Several of them. If they were making any noise, she could not hear them over the crackling behind her. Turning to see what was making the sound, she gasped. "Natsu!"

His body was taunt, fingertips coated with her blood, yet the trap he had triggered kept him immobile. Anyone who looked at him could tell he was in pain, yet he kept fighting. Stubbornly, he pushed a foot forward, only an inch, but still enough to show his determination.

She realized that even through the pain, he must have loosened his hold on her so she was out of the trap. Her hands fisted tightly. Why did he always have to protect her, she fumed, even when she knew the answer. They were partners, and they protected each other.

In an instant, her whip was in her hands and she snapped it out, willing it to grow longer, and wrapped it around his arms and chest. Before the current of electricity could travel up to her, she pulled as hard as she could. Their bodies collided together and they fell to the ground, both groaning in pain. "Ouch…what was that?"

He did not answer, his lungs trying to catch up on getting air into his body. It was rather hard to get a deep breath with his face smothered in Lucy's breasts, but he would have lied if he said he would have wanted to breath instead of suffocated by cleavage.

Over the rapid sound of her heartbeat, his ear twitched and heard the sounds of what sounded like footsteps. He pushed himself up and looked around, smelling the air. "No way…" His eyes widened in shock.

Jumping to his feet a bit uneasy, he called his flames to his hands and felt Lucy's back against his. Behind the trees, he watched the shadows move back and forth. Their scent coming from their home. He growled at the thought of them invading another place of security of Lucy's.

"Whoever these creeps are, I don't think they are normal stalkers, Lucy."

Unfortunately, in their current position, she had to agree with him. "Can you tell how many there might be?"

"They keep moving and they all smell exactly the same." He snarled. "Come out and face us, you cowardly bastards!"

"Natsu…" He would be the death of her, she knew it. Reaching down, she tapped a key and her clothing changed. "Taurus!"

Whip in hand, she looked at the shadows around them as Taurus appeared next to her, axe at ready to protect his welder.

"Whooo are these people, Miss Lucy?"

"Stalkers," she said. "Ones we are going to take out."

"Hell yeah!" Natsu chuckled, ready for a good fight. His body had recovered enough from the shock trap that he felt confident in taking these punks down. "We will teach these bastards not to mess with us or Fairy Tail."

"Don't underestimate us too quickly, Dragon Slayer." A tall, muscular man stepped out from the trees; his arms crossed over a well-defined chest. Three large scars slashed across his face as if a large animal had swiped at him once before. Oddly, Lucy wondered if the animal that gave them to him was the same whose skin he had wrapped around his shoulders. He gave a cocky grin.

Natsu frowned and gave the guy a once over. "Who are you supposed to be?"

"The hunter who has finally come across his prey." His eyes darkened and his grin turned from cocky to terrifying. It made Lucy shudder and step closer to her partner. "After so many years of hunting, our bounty will be fulfilled."

"Yeah, I still don't get who you are," the salmon-haired man said and crouched down. "But you have hurt my Lucy, and I will—" A hiss escaped his lips at a pain in his neck.

"Natsu?"

He stumbled. The world moved in an unusual way, the pit of his stomach began to heave like when he rode a train. Several more pricks of pain trailed up the side of his body and he felt everything begin to go black. "Luce…wha…?"

His body fell into her arms as she held him up. "Natsu! Hey, wake up!" She tried to shake up, but he was out. Looking down his side and neck, she saw four thin needles sticking out of his skin. They had to have some form of drug on them, she decided, and used the pommel of his hip to knocked them off.

"Taurus," she called for her spirit's attention and moved Natsu until she could get him onto her back. How many times had she carried him like this over the years, she wondered. Too many times that his weight felt normal on her back. "I need you to cover for us!"

"Yooou got it, Miss Lucy!" He swung out his axe in a threatening manner and gave a snort to the shadows around them.

She saw movement to the side and she readied her whip. No one would take them if she had any say in them matter.

Without waiting to see who it was, she lashed out with her whip, keeping it normal to inflict damage to the person. A scream of pain brought a smile to her lips that she knew she shouldn't have had, but did.

"My eye!" A man screamed out in pain. "She got me in the eye!"

Dropping her whip, she grabbed her partner tighter and took off from the path into the woods she had not seen any shadows moving around. Laughter echoed in the woods after her.

"Remember," the voice of the scarred man followed the laughter, "the job is to take them both alive. And get those keys from her fast. Where she is going, she won't need them, and we can make a pretty penny selling them."

"This isn't good." She felt the pressure in the air of a mighty swing from Taurus behind her. An earthquake of trees falling in all directions and landing hard on the ground nearly tripped her. More shadows caught her notice and she focused hard on another key. "Scorpio!"

"Yee-haa! Let's do this, Sand Buster!"

The forest around her became a battlefield of fallen trees and sand. Even the path she was running on had been covered in a well-placed attack from her spirit once he saw she was running barefoot. For the safety of them and her partner, she had to get them out of there. If she was captured, it meant her keys would be in jeopardy, and after the time it took for her to get Aquarius back, she refused to lose any of them ever again.

A shadow dropped in front of her. There would be no way either of her spirits could attack him without possibly hitting her and Natsu, but she was not worried. With the strength of Taurus with her Star Dress, she kept running at the man and lifted her knee at just the right moment. His thighs clenched tight around her leg in pain as she hit him right in the jewels.

Her steps faltered a bit with his added weight, but she dropped Natsu's leg to land a hard punch to the man's chest, sending him flying away from her. Grabbing her partner's leg again, she took a moment to glance around for any other enemies.

That moment was all it took.

Pain flared up her right calf before a cold numbness made her stumble. Glancing down, she saw the same needle-like item that had dropped Natsu earlier. "No…"

She pushed her feet forward, half dragging her right one behind her as the coldness spread up to her thigh and she felt it in her stomach. It reacted fast, faster than she had expected. "Scorpio…Taurus…!" The spirits jumped in front of her as the ground rushed up to meet her, the cold had spread to her left leg.

With Natsu's weight on her, she felt the numbness spreading, but she had to keep moving. Had to protect what was important!

Shadows crept closer, but her spirits continued to block them from her. Her hands dug into the sand around her as a tree fell from an attack from Taurus' axe. Realization came over her then. They were going to be taken, there was nothing she could do now. Almost nothing.

Pulling Natsu's scarf from her throat and pulling hard enough for her key pouch to break from her belt, she wrapped them together pushed them under the fallen tree. Any sand she could push went over the precious items until she could barely move anymore.

"I'm sorry…I'm sorry," she whispered softly, feeling her spirits dissipate as her consciousness began to fade. This was her fault. These men were after her, and she had put her spirits and the one she loved most in danger. "I'm sorry…"

A pair of worn boots stepped in front of her vision, but she had no strength to look up at him. Blackness crept around her vision. Something was spoken above her, muffled from the drug running through veins. The last thing she saw tore her heart to pieces as hands grabbed Natsu and pulled him away from her. Darkness took her and she never felt the hands that grabbed her.

A/N - I will admit, this chapter was not edited as I normally would have since I am in the process of working out three serialized fiction stories and planning on setting up a when I feel I have enough of the stories written out. Already have the website figured out that I will be posting them on and still working on my actual novels, too.

Doing all of this while working on fanfics and trying to find a new job. Things sure are fun as an adult trying to find purchase in a writing career!
